On to another classic of the Bake Off tent this week as we celebrate the joyous union of sugar, butter & flour in biscuit week. Still going strong with twelve bakers, our intrepid contestants must face a Viennese Whirl signature, a mint cream biscuit technical and an edible puppet show showstopper. Join Howard, Jane and Sarah as they discuss the piping panics and the tempering triumphs of biscuit week, and share their thoughts on a very dramatic second episode!

This week we were all thrown back nearly 100 years to the 1920s for yet another new GBBO theme to debut in series 10.

Four custard pies, 18 beignets soufflés and one prohibition cake later, we said goodbye to not one but two bakers this week as finally the double departure came forth.

Jane and Howard weren’t entirely sure the right bakers left or that we need new themes in GBBO but both found common ground on the back of our self raising selfie story, believing that when it comes to judging cake competitions around the country, spiralizers as prizes remain the best way forward.

No, we couldn't believe it either to be honest, but having watched the episode and done the podcast, we're nearly over the shock. Nothing screams Bake Off quite like Vegetarian Burgers so we were delighted to get our teeth stuck into reviewing Bread week. We soon realised that Henry's tie wasn't a one off as we watched the bakers make a tear and share bake, before having a look at their pert white burger baps and some seriously impressive scoring for the showstoppers.
