| Henry Shukman: Finding “The Way” Through Meditation Part 1 | 03 Dec 2024 | 00:27:29 | |
Would you like to feel calmer and more aware? Have you heard all about the benefits of meditation, yet you have a challenging time trying to quiet your racing mind? Our guest today is Zen meditation teacher, author, and poet Henry Shukman. Several years ago, Henry had a severe head injury and discovered he wasn’t able to utilize 100% of his cognitive abilities. It was then that he got in touch with his heart and realized that that is where his guidance lives. Henry has decades of experience as a full-time meditation teacher. Today he talks about the new app he developed called “The Way” that teaches people how to take a long-term approach to meditation. It is a step-by-step process. Many meditation apps offer endless choices, but this is a systematic approach to meditation with single lessons each day. Henry talks about being in a state of love, while also handling the day-to-day. He explains that it is about living in the world yet taking a few minutes each day to acknowledge a way to “be with” what your emotions may be. Meditation allows us a little window to “be” and not “do.” Henry also shares his traumas as a child. He felt abandoned, which led to a skin condition which got deep into his psyche. He felt a constant sense of stress and anxiety. When his parents were home and not traveling, they argued in the house. Henry revealed that his parents were both academics and spies for the British government. They spoke Russian fluently and got recruited into this risky business. There was so much secrecy at home and when his parents divorced, it affected him deeply. This was a time when there was denial, and no one was talking openly about feelings and emotions. When he was in his 20s, he started to seek answers. Henry was deeply intuitive and sensitive. He had a couple of friends who meditated, including a dear grandmother figure, in her 80s, who meditated. These friends seemed happy. He learned Transcendental Meditation to start. He realized by practicing meditation that he was not happy and wanted to feel better. The calming that the mediation offered let him see he was suffering. He sought therapy to examine this suffering. He further studied Buddhism, which delves into the nature of suffering. Henry has practiced Zen meditation, as well as mindfulness-based stress-reduction, and various meditation processes. Henry is the Spiritual Director emeritus of Mountain Cloud Zen Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His new book is “Original Love: The Four Inns on the Path of Awakening.” His app, “The Way,” offers more than 30 free meditations which will teach a step-by-step process based on Henry’s years of practice. What happens when we really utilize the power of our mind to break through blocks to success in our lives? Or maybe you are facing a pivot and do not want to go backward into old patterns? Our guest today is researcher and best-selling author Ravinder Taylor. She has helped literally thousands of people change their state of mind and therefore empower their lives. Her latest book is “Mind Training: The Science of Self-Empowerment.” Ravinder talks about solid research which analyzed the importance of your state of mind, including a technique which improved cognitive abilities, reduced stress, and also made progress toward dementia. When she studied it further, she knew she could go deeper. What she wanted to do was take away the mystic around “self-help,” and show how in a scientific manner that positive change could be proven. She studied various self-help techniques so that the reader could find methods that work for themselves. She was looking specifically at a 12-minute meditation, which had spiritual undertones. She talks about the Sikh tradition in which she was raised, although she turned away from organized religion. She further studied brainwave entrainment and how it works with meditation. She suggests bringing your own faith into your meditation, if that feels right for you. She talks about what beliefs mean and how certain ideas get into our mind. The subconscious beliefs are so powerful, but first she says we must understand where the beliefs originated. She talks about the divided mind that Freud explored which includes the Ego, the Id, and the Superego. She furthers talks about the idea of the 4 Selves and what they mean. Who do we believe we can be? It’s not about perfection, it’s about our personal successes. We can actualize them. Her training is about being the best you can be. She further looks at psycho-social development, starting as an infant. Each period of our life lets us learn different things. | Joseph Selbie: Miraculous Healings Based on Physics – Part 2 | 22 Oct 2024 | 00:34:35
Is it possible that science can help explain miracles? Can the laws of quantum physics prove how miraculous healings are possible? Lisa continues the conversation today with researcher, teacher, and author Joseph Selbie who breaks down these concepts and shares documented stories of miraculous healings. We all have innate soul powers for healing, and it IS possible to take charge of our own health. Joseph believes that no disease is incurable. Today Joseph discusses his new book, “The Physics of Miraculous Healing -- How Emotion, Mind, and Spirit Enable Unlimited Self-Healing.” Joseph shares a story about a woman who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She had gone up and down with her health and was declining to the point that her parents were ready to move her into Hospice. Yet, even in that position of being so ill, she was clear of mind and strong of heart. She would spend hours and hours each day praying for others. She felt that she was in the flow of the Divine. She reports hearing a voice that said, “Get up and walk.” So she did. She removed her oxygen mask, got out of bed, and began to walk. She saw her doctor the next day who declared that she had absolutely no MS. Her subtle energy body had changed. Instants later, her physical body had changed. This woman had a powerful connection with the Divine. She had no idea that she would be cured. She just wanted to be a contributing member of society, so she spent her time praying for others. Emotions, mind, and spirit all play a part in healing. This is something that needs to be built. Joseph talks about how you may have created your illness, so therefore you may be able to heal it. If you harbor a belief and you believe something will happen to you, it very well may. If you feel a lack of forgiveness or feel betrayed in some way, this may contribute to diseases manifesting. Emotions of sadness and regret, even running in the background, can cause the subtle energy body to become distorted. This hologram makes it difficult to manifest a healthy body. The template is distorted. If these distortions are running a lot, people may get illnesses that may be difficult to cure. Your body begins to disfunction. It causes a negative distortion in your cells. How can self-healing happen? In the full potential of yourself, you could heal. If you knew with utter certainty, and believed in unlimited powers of healing, miracles can happen. Getting strength of mind can help. Joseph talks about meditation and how it can put you in touch with your spirit. You can feel it. You begin to leave unwanted beliefs. You can learn to feel and then move your subtle energy. You can do this through breathing exercises and intention. Happier people tend not to get sick. Cells are supported by a strong, healthy flow of energy. Joseph talks about living in an intentional community and his decades of meditation practice. He discusses the importance of believing in yourself. He talks about being a soul first. We must have a consistent practice to be able to self-heal. We can also believe in the power of medicine to heal. Science is so important, then you can go deeper into physics, and therefore healing can happen. It is a combination of science and spirituality. Joseph is a researcher of physics and combines this with his decades of meditation practice. The universal spiritual teachings are all based on prayer and intention. Visualization can also help to accelerate the healing. We are all in a sea of Infinite Intelligence. Those powers are always available to us and working with us whether we focus them or not. If you meditate even a little, if you choose more positive thoughts, it will help with your concentration and creativity, as well as your healing abilities. The more you take control of your health, the greater the benefits. Even if you do not heal, you may experience a more elevated sense of being. Medicine may be necessary, and spirituality can help. You are awakening to who you are. Our bodies have an innate sense of healing. It is natural to regenerate, and we can tap into these healing abilities. Our thoughts can definitely help us along the way! This is Part 2 of the interview. Info: josephselbie.com.

| Joseph Selbie: Miraculous Healings Based on Physics – Part 1 | 15 Oct 2024 | 00:28:40 | |
Why do some people have seemingly miraculous healings while others do not? Why do some people who are diagnosed with a terminal disease decline rapidly while others with the same disease live longer than expected? According to our guest today, teacher and author Joseph Selbie, we all have innate soul powers for healing, and it IS possible to take charge of our own health. He believes that no disease is incurable. Today Joseph discusses his new book, “The Physics of Miraculous Healing -- How Emotion, Mind, and Spirit Enable Unlimited Self-Healing.” The modern medical system tends to believe that miraculous healing is nearly impossible. While they consider certain diseases to be terminal, there is still a tiny fraction of people who do not die. Medicine cannot explain why. Physics can better explain this phenomenon. Classical physics is a matter-centered view of reality. That was the predominant method of physics upon which modern medicine is based. This began to change nearly 100 years ago, starting with Einstein and his ideas and particularly his theory of special relativity which states that there is no such thing as matter. Matter is energy in another form or pattern. The universe is made of energy. Quantum Physics then further explains how all of matter is purely energy. It has 2 behaviors – it can be stable, or it can behave like formless waves. According to Joesph, some or all of the atoms or molecules in our bodies can take on the formless waves of energy for healing. The body is like a holograph. We live in a holographic universe. This comes from M-Theory – the leading physics of today. This states we essentially exist in 2 worlds. One of matter, and one of pure energy. We project the universe into being. We can impact this energetic world. We can do this through prayer and intention. This is why prayer can work. It involves signals being sent through this seamless energy realm. We cannot exist without it. Our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions have an immediate effect on our subtle energy. This is similar to a broadcast signal. We are constantly, and unintentionally, affecting our bodies and also the lives of people around us. Once we realize this, we can learn to be much more deliberate about the signals we send out. For example, if you listen to the news, to the anger, the violence, that’s an unintentional signal that we are sending all the time. This shapes us. You can actually track the response of negative news. The primary way that we send signals is through our emotions and connection to spirit. We are constantly sending out signals. It affects us and everyone around us. This involves our emotions and our deeply held beliefs. But we can change them, if we so choose. We can do things to make our emotions more positive, make our beliefs less limited, and we can connect more deeply to our spirit or God within. Once we connect to this, we see we are part of Infinite Intelligence. We can use this power for healing. We see that when large groups of people intend together, it can have dramatic effects. Joseph also shares stories of people who have experienced miraculous healings. He talks about a man who was hospitalized with lymphoma. This man was an innate optimist. He read an article about a new chemotherapy treatment that was available at the hospital were he was. After talking to his doctor, he was able to receive this new treatment. He began to feel so much better, to the point he could leave the hospital and fly home unaided. Joseph continued the story by saying about a month later, this same man read another article that stated the experimental chemo actually did not work. He got sick again and went back to the hospital. The doctor told him that there was another experimental drug, which he tried, then he felt better and went home. He then read another article about this treatment which stated that it also didn’t work. The man fell ill again, then passed away within two days. Joesph talks about this cautionary tale and our beliefs. He reminds us that we need to believe in ourselves and our own innate ability to heal. People who have been told they have a certain amount of time to live tend to typically die around that time. The medical community does so much to heal, but beliefs can sometimes be stronger. This is Part 1 of the interview. Info: josephselbie.com
| Best of The Aware Show with William Whitecloud: The Magician’s Way - Living a Life of Greatness | 10 Oct 2024 | 00:30:19 | |
Are you ready to take control of your life and live from greatness? Do you believe that magic is possible? Our guest today is author, coach, and spiritual teacher, William Whitecloud. In 1996, inspired by the momentum of his own self-transformation, William founded a program called Living From Greatness, a personalized course dedicated to empowering participants in discovering and living their authentic nature and expressing their own creative spirit. Today he explains that negative dynamics such as lack of time and money, being affected by outside forces such as the economy, being stuck, and worrying about the future, are purely symptoms of functioning from Low-Level Creativity. The cause of Low-Level Creativity is the belief (conscious or unconscious) that we don’t have the power within us to conceive of and manifest our highest fulfillment. William will outline a simple process for taking your power back. William teaches his “Natural Success” program to thousands of clients worldwide and also contributes to social and environmental projects in Africa, for example, supporting vital snakebite anti-venom initiatives in his childhood home country, Eswatini, located in Southern Africa. | Susan Grau: Using Your Intuition – Part 2 | 24 Sep 2024 | 00:32:47
Would you like to be able to hear your intuition? Do you believe by enhancing your intuitive skills, you can contact those who have crossed over? Lisa continues the conversation today with Intuitive Medium Susan Grau who talks about her near-death experience, the passing of loved ones, and how grief is in charge, when we don’t address it. When you are feeling vulnerable, unresolved grief sneaks in. Susan explains how we can step into the grief and into the pain. We tend to want to run away from pain. We deny it. This offers us breaks in our grief. If we can lean in, we can move through it. We must move through the pain, whether through talking, therapy, or physical movement. Susan is an internationally celebrated celebrity intuitive medium, soul healer, author, grief counselor, and speaker. She specializes in grief and addiction therapy, guiding people to healing and recovery. In her new book, “Infinite Life, Infinite Lessons,” she talks about her near-death experience as a very young child and all that happened when she was on the Other Side. She learned we all have free will and can make choices. She discusses Fear vs Intuition and shares ways to tap into your intuitive self. Fear feels like panic. Intuition is smooth. It’s a feeling. It’s important to feel into your body and trust your intuition. If you have a bad feeling, she asks us to trust that feeling. Your body knows. It’s a smooth type of knowing. Fear is a reactionary feeling. Susan discusses the feeling of “knowing.” It’s solid. You don’t question. You don’t need a reason. It’s a solid understanding. Susan also talks about the importance of forgiveness. She talks about the level of love she found when she had her Near-Death Experience. She was abused as a child and needed to find self-forgiveness. It was more important that she forgave herself. She didn’t want to give power to her abusers. She asks us to take action if it feels something is wrong. When Susan has a problem, she goes into action to find a solution. We are reactionary beings. She suggests we pause, then take action. Her goal is to help people heal themselves through love and guidance. Her NDE at a very young age did not stop the difficulty she experienced throughout life. She developed her inner guidance, her inner knowing, and explains how she “feels” her truth. She feels it in her gut. She also listens to her Spiritual Guides. She utilizes her clear knowing to understand what is going on around her. She shares how she is clairvoyant, clairaudient, claircognizant, and clairsentient. She explains how good mediums can access the personality of those who have crossed over. In her work, she feels the personality and essence of the person come through. She explains how grief is an extremely low vibration. A medium can vibrate a little higher. The soul of the loved one vibrates at a very high vibration. This makes it harder to access them. She suggests remembering something joyful that will raise your vibration. This makes it easier to hear them. They communicate their essence and beauty; the essence of who they really are. Souls want to heal their loved ones. They are not in a state of suffering. They can communicate without the pain and fear. There’s no reason to have the pain and fear on the Other Side. If you are talking with them, as time goes on and you practice, communication becomes clearer. You can get validation. Listen to what they say. It’s not an ending, it’s a new relationship. It takes time. We must be kind to ourselves. She also talks about our pets who have crossed over and the Room of Companions that she saw in her NDE. Our furry friends are happily playing and ready to greet us on the Other Side. Our Soul is our healer. It’s our bind to the Divine. This is Part 2 of the interview. Info: SusanGrau.com.

She saw three lights during this terrifying experience. She believed they may have been angels. She describes her experience of being at the bottom of a staircase and goes into great detail about what she saw and heard during this experience. Susan talks about studying under Dr. Raymond Moody, expert on near-death experiences, who said this could have been the equivalent of “going into the light.” Susan describes hearing prayers and thoughts of many others during this experience as she was in a beautiful and loving room. She then saw a golden path. She followed it and went into a room that held the Akashic Records. She describes very vivid memories of the place and the tablets. It was as if she was watching a movie. Spending time in the spirit realm felt safe. But sometimes during this experience, she would be a bit afraid and still want to be with her Mom, as she was so young at the time. She knew she would always be connected to her. During her NDE, she didn’t want to go back, but the spirits promised she could go back to her Mom. She talks about then seeing spirits in her room and playing with them, although sometimes in the night it could be a bit scary for her. She shared how she could see and communicate with them. Her mother was afraid for her, so she asked her to not talk about it. As she was going through life, she remembered that her Spirit Guides told her she would go through a difficult life journey. Her traumatic experiences ultimately enabled her to understand and help others. Susan is an internationally celebrated celebrity intuitive medium, soul healer, author, grief counselor, and speaker. In addition to working as a professional medium and life path intuitive, Susan’s diverse range of certifications include: Reiki Master, Sai Maa Diksha Practitioner, Karuna Practitioner, and Certified CADC II - Addiction Specialist. Additionally, she is a licensed hypnotherapist specializing in past life regression, a respected professional teacher of the metaphysical arts, and an honorary member of the Healing Touch Professional Association (HTPA). | Best Of The Aware Show with Guy Finley: Sept 11th Anniversary | 10 Sep 2024 | 00:29:42
Sept 11, 2024, marks the 23rd anniversary of one of America’s darkest days. To shed light and understanding about the collective grief and trauma so many faced, we are joined by spiritual teacher and best-selling author Guy Finley. Guy is the Founder of Life of Learning Foundation and the best-selling author of “Letting Go,” “The Secret of Letting Go,” and more than 25 other books. His books have sold millions of copies in multiple languages worldwide. Today he talks about how to look at tragedy and specifically addresses 9/11 and the pain that ensued. He shares how 9/11 changed us and also taught us resilience. He asks us to ask ourselves have we learned the lesson in that pain, both as a nation and as a collection of individuals? And if we have not, then did that event unite us in a new understanding? Or did it divide us further? Whether a national tragedy or a personal situation, how can we learn the lesson of pain? When we come upon a tragedy, it may also divide us further. Guy deeply examines the nature of “blame” and how it is so difficult for us not to blame. Typically, the first reaction to tragedy is to point the finger. After 9/11, our freedoms were affected literally overnight. Who is to blame? If tragedy doesn’t change us, it becomes vague. What did this situation reveal to us about ourselves? What freedoms have we taken for granted? Prior to 9/11, security was much different at the airports. How can we use these unwanted moments? Do we go into panic? Guy says there is no psychological fear without negative imagination. So commonly, the pain makes us place blame. When we can recognize it, we can realize it serves no purpose to blame. We can liberate ourselves from a mind with a negative imagination. We can liberate our minds from the past. We can realize that each moment is new. There is a way to train ourselves to process the negativity. This is a different level of consciousness. The solution to the suffering is to realize that the pain has no idea what to do. We cannot buy into the negativity and continue to place blame. We must change as individuals before we can see change in our world. Guy asks us to consider, “What is your relationship with the Divine?” In the moment when there’s a problem or pain, when we resist it, we are resisting our reaction to it. It seems to threaten us. When we resist, we feel attacked. It’s a misunderstanding of the event. So, how do you illuminate the event to come to a new conclusion? Silence can help. If anxiety is guiding you, then fear and negativity are the rulers at that moment. Anger, fear, and worry all lead us toward negativity. What we give our attention to is what we are in relationship with. This guides our experience. If we are afraid, there’s something that believes the fear is real. According to Guy, “The fear is real but the ‘Why’ is a ‘Lie.’” Our lower brain creates a response of tension. Guy offers prayers to allow the Divine to let us know the truth. He also teaches free classes online twice a week. Info: GuyFinley.org and GuyFinley.org/online for free classes.

| Best of The Aware Show with Amelia Kinkade: How to Communicate with Animals | 29 Aug 2024 | 00:25:50 | |
Would you like to better communicate with your furry companions? According to our guest today, animal communication expert Amelia Kinkade, animals have thoughts, feelings, emotions and readily communicate, both among themselves and with us. Amelia discusses how she developed her gift and how you too might be able to develop the ability to communicate with your animal friends, whether they be winged, finned, scaled, or furred. Amelia also discusses how animals are being exploited in different areas of the world and how hunters are spending exorbitant amounts of money for trophy animals in Africa. She has various animal charity events where she’s raising awareness of these practices and also teaching people how to understand what animals are thinking and feeling. She explains that you can learn to use your body as an instrument. This is a meditative process involving silencing your mind, so there’s no negativity, no inner dialogue. This prepares you to be able to sit in silence with another animal. Be in awe of the animal’s grace. Be in gratitude. Then you can be in communication. She discusses how our animals can take on our problems and diseases. There is one enormous field, and we are all connected. When something gets out of balance, our cells are not communicating. This can reflect in our animals as well. The concept of harmony and communication between all living things can happen in this field of higher vibration. Amelia also discusses what animals worldwide think about humans. Amelia has been listed in The 100 Top Psychics in America. A full-time animal communicator, she is sought by veterinarians, animal rescue organizations, and animal lovers all over the world. | Keith Leon S. How to Talk to Your Guardian Angels - Part 2 | 27 Aug 2024 | 00:40:00
Do you believe that angels surround you? Do you think you are guided or are you filled with self-doubt? Lisa continues the conversation today with best-selling author Keith Leon S. who absolutely knows his angels are always with him. He asked for assistance as a child and heard the voice of his Guardian Angel. They have been with him ever since and Keith believes we can all ask them for their guidance and wisdom. He talks about reincarnation and what he has learned. He also discusses the non-linear nature of reality and how we can direct things in this reality. The choices we make now dictate our future. We can make them in alignment with the outcome we want. Keith talks about a specific “knowing” and how he manifests. He discusses the power of belief and how it’s possible to cancel out our own prayers with our wavering. If we take in the mainstream media and listen to negative news, for example, we can be deeply affected. He reminds us that we can choose to only receive things in alignment with how we want to be. We can look at role models and the choices they make. He talks about his involvement with Agape Spiritual Center and his relationship with Reverend Michael Beckwith. He became a practitioner there, as well as a soloist in their music program, including performing on stage with Stevie Wonder and Ben Vereen. Keith shares a personal story in which Ben Vereen was singing and afterward talked about his admiration for him. Since that moment, he realized that he was no longer nervous to sing and perform for an audience. Keith also discusses Ernest Holmes and the teachings of the Church of Religious Science, as well as other great spiritual teachers. He explains how they are all saying the same thing, only using different words. He further shares messages from his Angels and their words for humanity’s future. He talks about how everything is for the “highest good,” even if it doesn’t seem that way. We must turn off the noise and rely on our inner knowing. He suggests going into a place of stillness and asking a single question. The quality of our questions determines our answers. Keep asking that question over and over, until you receive the answer. He also suggests writing positive affirmations and repeating mantras 100 times a day for 33 days to reprogram our subconscious minds. That way, we can become aligned and find an energetic match to what we desire. Keith is a multiple best-selling author, international speaker, and owner of a successful book publishing company. | Best of The Aware Show with Nancy Levin: Making Changes in Your Life | 22 Aug 2024 | 00:28:23
Are you on the verge of making changes in your life but feel like something is holding you back? Are you ready for something new but aren’t quite sure where to start? Today’s guest is author Nancy Levin who discusses her new book “Jump and Your Life Will Appear.” Nancy will help you understand how to negotiate the fears, set the boundaries, and give you the information on how to gracefully land on your feet after taking your leap. Do you sometimes seek external approval? Nancy explains that it starts by looking within first. She realized that she wanted people to think she was living a perfect life. She believed that that was more important than living a happy life. She shares the intimate story of her younger brother passing away and how that affected her. She sought external validation and recognized she was a people-pleaser. She realized that we draw to us people who reflect us. We disown qualities of ourselves and project them on others. This is part of our shadow. Often the people closest to us activate us the most. We will keep being tested by being triggered. We can ask ourselves, “What are you unwilling to change?” She talks about 10 steps to making a major change. Our bodies know the truth. She invites us to ask ourselves, “What are you hiding?” It comes down to making choices. We can set boundaries. She explains how we can find our voice and become empowered. She invites us to take inventory before we make a change. We are where we are today because of all the choices we made previously. In the present moment, every choice matters. We can ask, “Will this move me forward?” or “Am I sabotaging myself?” You can make one different choice at a time. It’s a step-by-step process. We must be honest with ourselves and set boundaries. She suggests that we block time off in our day for ourselves. Whether we go on a hike or a run or simply spend it in quiet time, it helps to make that commitment to ourselves. Nancy explains that suffering comes from our unwillingness to accept things as they are. If we are present and can fully choose, we can make different choices. Nancy is the bestselling author of “Jump … And Your Life Will Appear” and “Writing For My Life.” She is a Certified Integrative Coach through The Ford Institute For Transformational Training. For more than a decade, she worked as the Event Director at Hay House, Inc. producing events and conferences focusing on self-empowerment, health, and spirituality, while weaving in her own story and poems to connect with audiences around the world. | Keith Leon S. How to Talk to Your Guardian Angels - Part 1 | 20 Aug 2024 | 00:38:08
Have you forgotten that you are guided? Do you believe that angels surround you and can help? Or are you in a state of self-doubt? Our guest today is best-selling author Keith Leon S. who knows his angels are always with him. Keith didn’t always believe he was being guided though. He had a tough upbringing and when he asked for assistance as a child, he heard the voice of his Guardian Angel. When he first heard the voice as a child, and knew it was a voice outside of himself. It was not “all in his head,” so he knew it wasn’t an imaginary friend. He then met an angel in the flesh when he was in a troubled spot in his twenties. Keith believes we all have earthbound angels. He’s had experiences where he’s met with his various angels and spirit guides during an out-of-body episode. Keith talks about how we can all access our personal Guardian Angels. He says we can look for signs, as well as meditating and asking questions. He suggests that we ask just one single question, then sit in silence. Ask the same question over and over, and you will hear the answer. It may be through the guidance of a song lyric or a symbol you see. You cannot ask “Why” questions, he explained. He suggested asking “How can I?” and “Who do I need to be?” instead. You can also ask “What” questions, such as “What is my next step?” He used this technique and shared a personal story about meeting with best-selling author John Gray and how John then wrote the foreword to one of his books about relationships. It also involves taking action. He talks about the difference between intuition and following guidance. It doesn’t matter how you receive the answer; it matters if you follow it. Stay in one question until you receive the answer. Keith discusses how we all come from Source and how we are directly connected. We can ask questions and hear answers at any point. It is up to us to take the necessary steps forward. Yet, have we all been assigned a Guardian Angel? What are the signs? They are always with us and are here to get us to our “pre-determined expiration date,” according to Keith. Maybe you’ve taken a different road, only to find out there was a terrible accident on the route you normally take. This could be an example of your angels protecting you. Keith further describes a relationship he had with a personal Guardian Angel who intervened at various points in his life. He explained that before you come to this Earth, you know how long you will be here. Anything can happen, so your Guardian Angel can help intervene. If you look at your path, you can make different choices, and enter a new destiny. Keith chose a new path after his Guardian Angel warned him that if he continued drinking excessively and doing drugs, he would have less than 2 weeks to live. Everything that his angel told him previously had come true, so he decided to dramatically shift gears and improve his life, as well as the lives of countless others. Keith is a multiple best-selling author, international speaker, and owner of a successful book publishing company. His books include, “Walking with My Angels,” “Who Do You Think You Are? Discover the Purpose of Your Life,” and “The Seven Steps to Successful Relationships,” co-authored with his wife, Maura. | Marie Diamond: Feng Shui Your Life – Part 2 | 13 Aug 2024 | 00:33:30
Would you like to have more success in business, better relationships, vibrant health, and much more? Lisa continues the conversation today with master teacher and author Marie Diamond, who says all this and more is possible through the ancient art of Feng Shui. Marie explains that this a Chinese artform of arranging things in your house and office to enhance favorable aspects of your life. Feng Shui was originally devised as a method to use for increased health and longevity. If you are not feeling well, you can sit facing your Health direction energy center. Point your head toward that direction. This can help to increase Chi. You can use healing symbols such as fresh fruits or vegetables. A favorite healing crystal can also be used. Symbols are essentially used to connect with the quantum field. Marie explains that mirrors in the bedroom connect with the mirror neurons in our brains. We are essentially “doubling” the energy. For example, if you are single and want a relationship, it’s not a good idea to have mirrors in the bedroom. If you have them and cannot remove them, Marie suggests covering them over. She also talks about spikey plants and how they can create upset or anger. Smooth, round plants may help you to feel more peaceful. She discusses setting up altars and how they may be placed in the Wisdom direction. Any representation of Goddesses or the Universe will be helpful. In your Romance center, you can focus on the love of your partner. Candles and double-hearts can work well. If you want to improve relationships with children or others in your home, you can place symbols in the living area. She discusses how to stage an office for the most success. For example, if you are the leader, you need to be the farthest away from the door. In the Success corner, you’ll want to place things like symbols of money. If you were to place an actual dollar bill, that just means you will get a small tip. You can write a check to the Universe. Put it in a gold frame. The more gold you have in your Success area, the more you will attract recognition and good luck. She also talks about your Personal number which is calculated into a whole system she developed. Marie talks about her free app and how to determine your personal directions. Marie also discusses Vastu Shastra from India and the differences between that style and Feng Shui. She explains that you can use both methods together. What’s an easy way to start? Marie suggests decluttering your space. Determine what you want to get rid of and donate it if possible. Begin with your Success corner and become aware of what is there in that area. Think about how the outside is a reflection of the inside. Your mood will shift, and you can begin to move forward more easily. Things will become more effortless. She also talks about how she got into the movie “The Secret” and how she developed her vision board. She placed images of an Oscar in her Success corner. Just a few years later, she met the director of the film who asked her to be in it. That was her very first interview ever. After that, she began adding more Oscars in her Success area and has since developed a roster of clients which includes celebrities and film directors, many of whom have won Oscars themselves. Ten days after buying multiple Oscar statues, she found herself doing Feng Shui for Steven Spielberg. Marie advises us to create a vision board divided like a compass. She suggests always placing a photo of yourself in the middle. She invites us to not only include photos and images, but to include words and phrases as well. This connects both the left and right hemispheres of your brain. Marie is an energy master and Law of Attraction expert who has developed her method known as Diamond Feng Shui. Her new book is called “Feng Shui Your Life: A Beginner’s Guide to Using Your Home to Attract the Life of Your Dreams.” This is Part 2 of the interview. Info: MarieDiamond.com

| Marie Diamond: Feng Shui Your Life – Part 1 | 06 Aug 2024 | 00:30:54 | |
Do you want to create more in your life? Would you like to have better relationships, more vibrant health, increased wealth and abundance? According to our guest today, master teacher and author Marie Diamond, this is all possible through the ancient art of Feng Shui. This is a Chinese artform of arranging things in your house and office to enhance favorable aspects of your life. Marie is an energy master and Law of Attraction expert who has developed her method known as Diamond Feng Shui. Her new book is called “Feng Shui Your Life: A Beginner’s Guide to Using Your Home to Attract the Life of Your Dreams.” Marie talks about how she is originally from Belgium and at the age of 15, she had an accident and near-death experience. She studied meditation and had an early mentor who explained that these things could have happened to her because she had bad Feng Shui in her bedroom. Her mentor advised her to change a few things and her life dramatically changed quickly for the better. Her relationship with her father greatly improved and she made wonderful new friends. Although she went on to get a law degree, she decided to study Feng Shui seriously. Feng Shui is based on directions and elements. The method focuses on energy and its flow around you and your space. The greater the flow, the more advantageous your prospects in business, love, health, family, success, wisdom, and more. Each person also has a personal number which can help you find your elements and directions. These can help in four areas including Success, Health, Relationships, and Wisdom. This is essentially connecting you to the quantum field. Marie teaches a personal system which includes the 5 elements and explains how you may also have an “empty” direction. You want to activate these directions. You can do this by placing photos and objects such crystals, candles, mirrors, etc. in certain directions based on your personal number. This is similar to the principles of acupuncture in the way that energy flows. Marie has been working with clients for more than 30 years. She was also in the movie “The Secret” and is an expert in manifestation. If you utilize the Law of Attraction, or practice intentions and affirmations, you can still hit a ceiling. Feng Shui can help. For example, if you change just a few things, you can increase your abundance. She talks about not just making a vision board but placing it in your Success direction. Vision boards are great to create once a year. You can look at the directions, colors, and symbols foundational in Feng Shui. You can base it on your birthday, as well as the Chinese New Year. Setting intentions and goals are the first steps. Your home can help you to continue your manifestation process. Marie also discusses her new television show on Peacock where she assists participants with Feng Shui in their homes. They share their problems and Marie helps them to find the better direction by moving things in their living spaces and offices. It may take several years, but eventually it can happen. She also talks about her new free app, found in app stores online. This can help you determine your personal number and the most beneficial directions for you. Info: MarieDiamond.com
| Best of The Aware Show with Deborah King: Entangled In Darkness: How to Find the Light of Your Soul | 01 Aug 2024 | 00:30:57 | |
Do you feel you may have past traumas that are not resolved? Do you sometimes feel emotions that surface out of the blue? Today’s guest is master energy healer and shaman Deborah King who was a successful attorney in her 20s when a diagnosis of cancer sent her on a search for truth that radically changed her life. Unwilling to undergo invasive surgery, she turned to alternative medicine and had an amazing remission at the hands of a healer. Leaving the corporate arena for the mysterious world of healers, sages, and shamans, Deborah mastered ancient and modern healing systems, ultimately developing a powerful healing technique of her own. She talks about recognizing and addressing the shadows which can lurk inside all of us. Could these inner issues be the source of disease? Deborah decided to try alternative therapies before immediately going into surgery. She was getting in touch with herself as she wasn’t processing emotions. She was meditating and journalling almost constantly. She worked with many different modalities including acupuncture and therapy to assist in her healing. She then decided to go to Nepal and climb Mount Everest. Prior to her illness, she was a serious downhill skier and racer. She went looking for a spiritual experience. Deborah came upon a monastery and spent a few weeks working with the abbot there. She learned to be “in the now” and live in the present moment. She decided to leave behind her law career to study healing modalities. Through this process, she became skilled at seeing into the soul, and the shadow, to determine what’s holding you back. It’s usually an unconscious pattern. Deborah teaches her students to be very present. She suggests jotting down your thoughts and feelings. We usually split off from our shadow at a young age. We pretend it’s not there. The key is to recognize and acknowledge. Awareness is the key to it all. You can work on it one step at a time. Meditation is extremely helpful. She also talks about preventing psychic attacks. Be very careful with what you are taking in, whether violent images or news on television. The darkness can bring us down. It’s unnecessary. She asks us to consider how we are spending our time. | Scarlett Lewis: How to Choose Love After Tragedy – Part 2 | 30 Jul 2024 | 00:35:59
Why is there so much violence and hatred in our communities today? What could cause someone to commit a heinous crime? Lisa continues the conversation today with Scarlett Lewis, the mother who experienced unimaginable tragedy when her 6-year-old son, Jesse Lewis, was killed during the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting massacre in December of 2012. After the tragedy, Scarlett knew she had to find an understanding as she didn’t want the shooter to impact her living son. She knew she needed to move through the emotions. Scarlett began asking if it could be that society has failed those children who have had difficult experiences, thereby leading them to commit terrible acts of violence. Scarlett discusses emo-diversity and how the more emotions we have, the healthier we are. Emotions assist you to navigate and provide information to help you live your best life. We don’t want to limit them. You can then examine your thoughts around the emotion. Scarlett talks about starting the “Choose Love” Movement which is now in 14,000 schools around the world. She asks us to stop squashing and ignoring painful emotions. There’s a healthy way to adjust. It’s done through presence. Scarlett talks about the “moment of choice.” You react and you can thoughtfully respond. Our fear center is very fast, due to survival. Everything is filtered through the fear center first. You may have an immediate reaction. Your brain’s job is to defend you. Most people are living from their reactive center. It becomes easy to get triggered. But we can control this by pausing and thoughtfully responding with love or compassion. Life gives us plenty of situations to choose love. If your life is not in danger, pause and get curious about that person’s point of pain. If someone is not kind, they are coming from pain. You can think about how to respond. You can learn to love and accept yourself. Know that you are not the cause of that person’s pain. Even if they are lashing out at you, it is because they are in pain. This can lead to compassion and even possible forgiveness. The person is 100% responsible for their behavior, but you can de-escalate the conversation, and this allows you to be in control. You can move beyond to healthier relationships. Forgiveness is the way to healthy relationships and meaningful connections. This is a learned behavior. We need to find role models. This can begin to be taught in schools so we can move forward and can move through pain. Scarlett decided to focus on the root cause – pain. She was determined to heal her own pain and to teach others to do the same through her “Choose Life” movement. Scarlett talks about meeting Nick Ortner who taught her about using tapping for healing. She also shares the story of meeting Wayne Dyer and the profound affect he had on her life. Scarlett discusses how communication is the opposite of violence. Communication is connection and connection is love. Love is what we all have in common. We are all human beings, and everyone wants to feel connection and love. This is the basis of what Scarlett teaches. We all want safety and peace. We need to be more vocal and courageous to achieve this and not devolve into bullying, whether through words or actions. It all starts with our thoughts and our words. Scarlett realized she needed to be the model of recovery and post-traumatic growth for her son. In every single action, we can be kind, compassionate, and ultimately choose love. If we can change one angry thought into a loving thought, our entire lives can change. We can truly be the change we want to see. This is the basis of the “Choose Love” Movement. Through her “Choose Love” organization, Scarlett took the tragedy and turned it into an opportunity to build a culture of love, resilience, and forgiveness. She is the author of several books including, “Nurturing, Healing, Love” and the upcoming “From Sandy Hook to the World: How the Choose Love Movement Transforms Lives.” This is Part 2 of the interview. | Best of The Aware Show with Matthew Fox: Post-Modern Forms of Worship and Redefining Christianity | 25 Jul 2024 | 00:34:29
Is it time to redefine the meaning of what it means to be Christian? Traditional religious institutions may be apathetic, or even corrupt, as we’ve seen in the Catholic priest scandals. Yet, it is possible to feel inspired and start new, according to our guest today, internationally acclaimed theologian Matthew Fox. Matthew was a member of the Dominican Order for 34 years, but then expelled for being a feminist theologian, which went against the traditional teachings. He then started his own institutions for Creative Spirituality. Today Matthew talks about how more and more people have strayed away from traditional religion. Many parents have given up on religion, so how do you teach children about morals and spirit? Matthew discusses how we can emphasize the spirituality aspect more through contemplation and action. Younger people are interested in social reform. He talks about the importance of Christian mystics ranging from Hildegard von Bingen to Meister Eckhart to Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. To recreate religion, we need to consider mysticism. Modern spiritual leaders such as Thích Nhat Hanh and the Dalai Lama are teaching about spirit. Matthew suggests considering various wisdom and studying different ranges of religions. He invites us to ask questions such as how we are related to these great beings like Jesus, Mother Mary, Buddha, or Mohammad. He discusses the intense need for connection that was formerly found though religious communities. Raves are a new way to celebrate rituals. The original purpose was to worship, so he developed the “Cosmic Mass” – a dance celebration ritual without drugs. He talks about how creativity is extremely important. We can look at the planets and stars and ask how we are connected. How can we live in awe? Matthew holds a doctorate in the History and Theology of Spirituality from the Institut Catholique de Paris. He founded the Institute in Culture and Creation Spirituality. Matthew continues to be an activist for gender justice and eco-justice. He is the author of 37 books and today he talks about his book “The Pope’s War.” Info: MatthewFox.org
| Scarlett Lewis: How to Choose Love After Tragedy – Part 1 | 23 Jul 2024 | 00:30:30 | |
How is it possible to heal after experiencing unimaginable horror, such as the loss of a child? Today’s guest, Scarlett Lewis, experienced profound tragedy when her 6-year-old son, Jesse Lewis, was killed during the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting massacre in December of 2012. The first few days were so incredibly painful, she didn’t know if she could survive. She did not know if she could ever heal from that level of a broken heart. She shares the story of meeting with another woman who lost her child during a different event, and how angry this parent was 20 years later. She made a choice that she needed to model a different way of being for her older son, J.T. Scarlett talks about how pain is an incredible catalyst for growth. She did not want Jesse’s murder to define her. She found an opportunity of connection through pain. As difficult as it was, she learned to choose love and healing. Two weeks after the tragedy, it was Christmas. Scarlett decided to take her son JT to Disney World for a healing trip. She talks about numerous miraculous messages she received which she believed were from Jesse. There she experienced miracles and micro-moments of joy. Scarlett suggests practicing being present with the ones you love and the importance of recognizing that time. She found a message that Jesse wrote on the chalkboard at home shortly before his murder. The words were “Nurturing, Healing, Love.” She determined that she would spend her life being part of this message and being part of the solution. She believes we are all responsible for what is going on in society. We must realize that we have to be the change that we want to see. Once you make that determination, you realize you are no longer the victim and can be motivated. There’s so much we can do. With every step, you gain self-worth and self-esteem, and it makes you want to do more. We are not born with essential life skills. We must learn them. There is so much bullying in today’s society by children and adults, especially on social media. We don’t have the skills to manage our anger and pain. She decided to create a healing movement and her program “Choose Love” is now in more than 14,000 schools worldwide. She talks about how pain has a purpose in our lives, yet somehow, we are so afraid of it, we ignore it or push it away. People are living in a state of perpetual PTSD. People can be so negative because of this. Scarlett talks about the concept of PTG or Post-Traumatic Growth. We can grow through difficulty and her organization teaches how to do this through a powerful formula. When a child experiences difficulty, they can learn through it. They can become curious and can learn to choose love over fear. Scarlett has also interviewed other school shooters. She is trying to understand their mindsets to find out what is needed. Even though their actions were monstrous, Scarlett recognizes that they are actually human beings in pain. She wanted to ask them the very tough question of “How did we, as a society, fail you?” as she knows they were not born as a murderer. They have so much pain, and so little social and emotional competence, that they had to take it out on others. She is trying to understand what we could do to prevent this, and part of it is a matter of belonging. Everyone wants to be seen. Through her “Choose Love” organization, Scarlett took the tragedy and turned it into an opportunity to build a culture of love, resilience, and forgiveness. She is the author of several books including, “Nurturing, Healing, Love” and “From Sandy Hook to the World: How the Choose Love Movement Transforms Lives.” This is Part 1 of the interview. | Best of The Aware Show with Ian Brennan: Antidotes to Anger | 18 Jul 2024 | 00:29:28
Does it seem like we are seeing more and more anger and rage lately? Do you or someone you know have issues with anger or managing emotions? Whether through road rage, yelling, political divide, or even outward violence, people seem more upset than ever. What’s underneath it all? According to today’s guest, Ian Brennan, anger masks fear, frustration, and sadness. As an author and expert in conflict resolution, today he discusses ways to help cool anger. He has been involved with the Betty Ford Center as well as other addiction treatment places and also talks about how drug use and alcohol can compound the rage. Ian describes how some people are willing to injure themselves and others, or even willing to die, because of their unresolved anger. They may feel threatened. They may also be in denial. Many angry people deny that they are mad at all. Anger can cover up any type of fear. One way to begin to resolve the situation is to ask people how they feel. The more specific they can be, the better. An angry person tends to be more controlling, or even a perfectionist, as they want assurances. Those expectations can lead to tremendous disappointments. They may light up quickly. Surrender is a way to help – it's an acceptance of where things are. Frequent and brief conversations about emotions can help also to avoid outbreaks of rage. You can start by asking “What” questions, rather than “Why.” Begin by asking the angry person, “What happened?” then lead into “What do you feel?” When you intervene, these questions interrupt patterns. This can lead to constructive conversation and communication. It may help them to feel empowered and less controlled so they can offer information. You can also ask questions starting with “How,” such as “How can I help?” By using needs-based communication people can begin to feel heard. This can then lead to more solution-oriented conversations and help to diffuse the anger. Ian has taught classes on anger management for several decades and has brought his patented high-energy, lightning-speed delivery presentations to more than 100,000 people across the USA. During his many years on staff in locked emergency-psychiatric facilities in Oakland, CA (the job rated as the most dangerous in CA for assault), his teachings spread by word-of-mouth until he was soon regarded as an expert on the topics of anger management, conflict resolution, solution-oriented communication, and violence prevention. In 2011 he published his first book, “Anger Antidotes: How Not to Lose Your S#&!.” Info: https://violenceprevention.us
| Shelly Lefkoe: Eliminate Limiting Beliefs! – Part 2 | 16 Jul 2024 | 00:32:40 | |
Do you sometimes feel like your confidence is lacking? Do you have fears around public speaking? Are you afraid to share your work publicly? Many of these limiting beliefs reside in our subconscious. Lisa continues the conversation with our guest today, Shelly Lefkoe, who talks about how these beliefs can be eliminated so you can feel more empowered. Shelly and her husband, Morty Lefkoe, started the Lefkoe Institute based in the San Francisco area and have helped thousands of people worldwide eliminate limitations. Shelly explains how two people can be in the exact same situation but look at it in completely different ways, based on the meaning they give it. The most common belief Shelly’s clients have is the idea that they are not good enough. This belief causes them to overwork or even procrastinate. There’s a fear of being judged. Shelly discusses how you can get rid of your negative beliefs by acknowledging your patterns. She further explains how patterns happen over and over. If you get rid of a belief, you can get rid of a pattern. This works with relationships, money challenges, workaholism, and much more, as beliefs are formed in the past. The meaning you give an event is formed at the moment it occurs. The meaning is what causes the emotions. She talks about her book “Hitting the Wall: Eliminate the Beliefs That Sabotage Your Business and Your Life” which she co-authored with Vahan Yepremyan. Shelly has helped thousands of clients worldwide recreate their lives by ridding themselves of a wide variety of challenges including phobias, relationships that don’t seem to work, violence, procrastination, unwillingness to confront people, health and wellness issues, and sexual dysfunction. Her clients have eliminated emotional patterns such as fear, hostility, shyness, anxiety, depression, worry about what people think of them, and a negative sense of themselves. She helps people develop confidence and feel empowered. This is Part 2 of the interview. Info: EliminateBeliefs.com and LefkoeInstitute.com
| Best of The Aware Show with Gangaji: Inner Peace – Discover Your True Radiance | 11 Jul 2024 | 00:43:41 | |
Do you often ask yourself questions like “Who am I?” or “Why am I here?” Today’s guest is spiritual teacher and author Gangaji who discusses her book “The Diamond in Your Pocket – Discover Your True Radiance.” Gangaji talks about how we are naturally conditioned to look outside of ourselves for food and shelter, so we continue to look there for answers. Eventually we discover that we cannot find peace and fulfillment outside and we need to turn inward. We seek and acquire knowledge, but some things can only be found inside. We can stop looking outside for the next book, the next teacher, the next escape. It’s so simple, yet revolutionary. Inside there’s potential for great creativity. She explains that it’s no longer “seeking” but “discovering.” It’s impossible to find lasting happiness outside. All pleasure fades, but lasting fulfillment can be found inside. Growing up in Mississippi, with the given birthname Toni Roberson, she felt something was missing in her life. She shares the story of finding her spiritual teacher Papaji. She is a very Western woman and never thought she would seek out a guru. She reached a point in her life where she realized she needed a teacher. She prayed and intended for one, then found herself in India six months later. Papaji was very welcoming. She recognized that this was the answer to her prayer. She found grace and radiance in his teachings. He suggested that she stop seeking and look inside for the truth. She was fearful to stop, as she thought she may lose what she had gained. She didn’t know what the outcome would be. He taught her to stop following the mind. If a thought arises, let it go. For a moment, turn your attention away from what you want. As she eventually did, she was overwhelmed with love and peace. She found peace and fulfillment exists already. She experienced stillness and it was scary at first. She learned to “see what is” and discover “what’s already here.” It’s our beingness. It’s consciousness. Some dislike what they see when they look inside. That’s all part of the process. Some people feel anguish or fear and other negative emotions. We suppress those feelings, or we can be in constant states of desire, looking for the next thing, and then the next. She suggests we just stop and take a moment. This takes vigilance, but then we can live life from that place. We can stop looking outside for satisfaction. So much energy is free. Gangaji also discusses the idea that “you are not who you think you are.” These thoughts continue and change. Stillness is beyond thought, but it’s your real self, your true self. Everything else is a story which can cause negative feelings. This Presence of “All That Is” is not something we have to “do” to experience. It’s crucial to realize we are in our thinking minds. We can experience this if we just “be.” It’s natural. Our minds will help us with survival. Peace is the nature of your heart. When there’s suffering, you must be present with the pain in your heart. She suggests that even though the whole body fights to survive, we can find peace in our hearts. We can discover it deeply after we get through the fear. It’s counter-intuitive, but it will pass. We can recognize that states come and go but inner “knowing” and stillness are always there. We can experience this peace. Gangaji teaches the willingness to learn that we are all connected. Destructive global events are tragic yet offer a way for us to discover the limitlessness of our own hearts. She also discusses the work she does within the prison environment, teaching people to learn to experience peace. We can all support one another. If we are willing to care, we can learn greater levels of love. Info: Gangaji.org.
| Shelly Lefkoe: Eliminate Limiting Beliefs! – Part 1 | 09 Jul 2024 | 00:32:25 | |
Have you ever had the belief that you are not good enough? Have you ever thought that you are not talented enough, not smart enough, shouldn’t make mistakes, etc? Many of these beliefs reside in our subconscious. Would you like to eliminate those beliefs and learn to feel more confident and empowered? It’s possible, according to our guest today Shelly Lefkoe. She and her husband, Morty Lefkoe, started the Lefkoe Institute, a San Francisco area based firm whose mission is “to significantly improve the quality of life on the planet.” What does it mean to eliminate these limitations? Beliefs are statements about reality that we hold as truth. The purpose is to get rid of the patterns which drive our beliefs and our realities. Shelly explains that a pattern is observable. You can see when someone is feeling sad. You can see if someone is in an unhealthy relationship. The beliefs are actually causing the problem. Most people ask “why” to find the answers. Shelly explains that a better question is to ask “what.” For example, ask “What might I believe that has me doing this?” or “What can I do to change this?” We look at meanings and interpretations. Beliefs are the roots that keep the foundation of your life from being solid. Shelly explains that we actually think we “see” certain things. She uses as an example a person who passes you by and doesn’t say hello. This may cause you to believe that this person doesn’t like you. You may feel that you are not good enough. You believe this because you “saw” it happen. Anything that you can see always has a color, shape, and location. You can see specific people doing certain things and we give it meaning. This comes from our beliefs. When we learn to eliminate these beliefs, we can begin to be our true authentic selves. Self-worth is based on our beliefs. We can change and eliminate these beliefs. We can learn to change the meaning. If you want to do something immediate and powerful, look at the meaning in that moment. Shelly explains that all meaning comes from our minds. Events have no inherent meaning. Any time you have a negative emotion, you can feel it, then you can consider what meaning you gave the event. Meaning is made up by our creative minds. You can still have feelings and emotions, but you can re-frame the meaning you give them. This is Part 1 of the interview. Info: EliminateBeliefs.com and LefkoeInstitute.com
| Best of The Aware Show with Dr. Walter Semkiw: Science and Reincarnation – Revolutionary Research to Create a More Enlightened and Peaceful World | 04 Jul 2024 | 00:42:19 | |
Do you think it’s possible that you could have lived at another time? Do you believe in reincarnation? Would you believe that many of today’s luminaries including Marianne Williamson and Oprah Winfrey may be reincarnated figures from the days of the American Revolution? According to today’s guest, Walter Semkiw, M.D., this actually may be possible. Dr. Semkiw began research into reincarnation in 1995 and he is the author of “Return of the Revolutionaries: The Case for Reincarnation and Soul Groups Reunited.” In this book, a cohort reincarnated from the time of the American Revolution is identified and he believes he may have been John Adams. The challenge in the research is to prove reincarnation using scientific methods, such as DNA analysis, which may show that certain portions of DNA sequencing are unique to an incarnating soul. Reincarnation cases demonstrate that facial features remain consistent from one lifetime to another. This observation suggests that the soul provides an energy template that the body forms around. Just as an orthopedic doctor utilizes a bone stimulator to shape bone, it appears that the soul projects an energy template that shapes the body and in particular, facial features. This template may also program certain portions of our DNA, according to Dr. Semkiw. He is also the author of “Born Again.” In this book, independently researched cases with evidence of reincarnation are compiled with a focus on the work of Ian Stevenson, MD, of the University of Virginia. Cases derived through world famous trance medium Kevin Ryerson, who has been featured in Shirley MacLaine’s books, are also presented. Info: ReincarnationResearch.com.
| Ken Honda: What is True Wealth? – Part 2 | 02 Jul 2024 | 00:34:46 | |
Would you like to learn how to tap into your intuition when it comes to matters of finance? Would you like to be less stressed around money issues? Do you sometimes have a challenging time making decisions? Lisa continues the conversation today with our guest Ken Honda. Ken is the author of the international bestseller, “Happy Money: The Japanese Art of Making Peace With Your Money” in which he shared thoughts about how we can create a life of abundance by changing our relationship with money. Today he is back to discuss his new novel “True Wealth — 9 Lessons From a Grandfather on Happiness and Abundance.” Ken shares techniques for tapping into our intuition and asks, how do you feel when someone offers you a project? Is your heart open and you feel excited? Or is your heart closing down? This is a key indicator. Intuition comes in so many ways by tuning into your five senses. Once you set a goal, look for synchronicities to start happening. When you hear your intuition and guidance, you need to follow it. Ken believes that you must first make a firm decision. You must make a choice and refuse other options. It takes determination, then suddenly this energy opens new doors and new pathways. If you take risks, you can move forward. Ken talks about how what you are afraid of holds the most energy. He shares a story about wanting to become a comedian and how much courage this will take. It’s scary, but very exciting. If you make a bold decision, the energy will move you toward your dreams. Ken also talks about how various cultures around the world have different views of money. He discusses how Americans do not like to talk openly about money, but they will talk about purpose. It’s such an important subject. Ken recommends learning about the Japanese concept of “Ikigai.” This involves taking small steps toward finding your life purpose. One door opens to another and eventually you find your life's calling. He also talks about making quick decisions. Do your best and know you’ll be guided. Tune into your intuition. If your intuition is cloudy, then your decision-making will be unclear as well. It starts with getting in touch with what you want. Ken suggests getting crystal clear about what we really want in life. It can be scary because it involves change. Ken further discusses two types of true wealth – visible and invisible assets. Invisible assets can be built on a strong foundation of emotions. When you know what you want you can plan. We can look for what we want, based on our perspective. By tuning into our five senses, we can acquire true wealth. There’s no right or wrong. It’s based on what you want. You can do things out of negativity or out of love. Ken teaches by using the Zen style of asking questions. What do you love to do? True wealth is having freedom. Ken also talks about the “arigato” money technique that he learned from his mentor – it’s a cycle of appreciation. He suggests thanking the money that comes in and thanking the money as it goes out. If you practice every day, gratitude and appreciation will grow, while finances will flow. This is Part 2 of the interview. | Best Of The Aware Show with Lita Lee, Ph.D. : The Enzyme Cure | 27 Jun 2024 | 00:26:57
Do you sometimes experience stomach issues after you eat? Are you familiar with enzymes and why are they so important to our bodies? Today on the show Lisa talks with Lita Lee, Ph.D. She is a chemist, enzyme therapist, nutritionist, author, and lecturer who has been in private practice for several decades. Her book is “The Enzyme Cure.” Dr. Lee talks about plant enzymes – what they are, how they can help us, and how they may be the most overlooked link to our good health. The right plant enzymes can help reverse asthma, cancer, diabetes, herpes, kidney stones, menopausal symptoms, weight problems, and dozens of other common disorders. Dr. Lee also discusses the dangers of microwaving food and how the radiation alters the vitamins and nutrients in the food. She talks about fluoride in our waters and how that causes disease. She also addresses diabetes and explains how white sugars are detrimental to our health, as well as why there is an epidemic of thyroid disorders. She suggests eating raw organic foods, coconut oil, and whole foods, which are all excellent for our health. She asks us to find out what enzyme we may be lacking and then suggests taking a multiple digestive enzyme. Dr. Lee received a doctorate in chemistry in 1967 from the University of Colorado in Boulder and spent the early years of her career as a research chemist at SRI International in Menlo Park, California. Her interest in nutrition, environmental health, and natural organic foods led her from the chemistry laboratory into clinical practice in 1984. Dr. Lee’s strong scientific background qualifies her work as an enzyme therapist, particularly her specialty of developing nutritional protocols for balancing body chemistry, with a focus on enzyme nutrition, hormonal balancing, diet, and protection from environmental toxins. | Ken Honda: What is True Wealth? Part 1 | 25 Jun 2024 | 00:29:46
Do you sometimes feel stress when it comes to money and finances? Do you often feel lack and you’d like to learn how to earn more? Our guest today Ken Honda is the author of the international bestseller, “Happy Money: The Japanese Art of Making Peace With Your Money” in which he shared thoughts about how we can create a life of abundance by changing our relationship with money. Today he is back to discuss his new novel “True Wealth — 9 Lessons from a Grandfather on Happiness and Abundance.” Ken shares that he has had incredible mentors, so he wanted to put their stories together in one book where he talks about the importance of synchronicity, action, intuition, and more. He was inspired by the best-selling book, “The Celestine Prophecy.” When you look at synchronicities, they can be direct messages or intentional messages from God. His book “True Wealth” talks about the “Cost of Fear.” If you are afraid of the future, or fearful of success, you may not have an amazing life. Many people choose security, rather than facing their fears and going for their dreams. People tend to wait for “someday.” Why postpone fun and enjoyment? We can actually do these things now. Ken’s father was a successful accountant, so Ken was able to be around those clients from a very early age. He would ask money questions and is very comfortable talking about money and finance. He also learned how money could cause so many problems. Money can lift you or bring you down. Money can be happy or unhappy. Happy money gives you joy when you spend it. You can be generous. The more money Ken receives, the more money he can give. Happy Money can come from all over the world. It can circulate. You send money out, knowing that it will come back. Ken suggests having a chat with money. Ask, “Where did you come from? And where do you want to go?” Ken has developed a relationship with money. When he was younger, he had a difficult time raising his fee as a consultant. A very successful client raised his fee for him. Ken recognizes that he was protected by kind people and felt like he never struggled for money. He had an excellent reputation and feels very fortunate. He is financially independent and feels he can be very generous and help others. He believes in cultivating what you love, and it will not feel like work. You can be creative. There are only two problems with money. You either do not make enough, or else you spend too much. Financially challenged people have both problems. They get paid low and spend too much. Wealthy people do not spend frivolously. If you want to be successful with money and financially free, you need to learn about yourself and your habits. You need to develop higher self-worth and higher self-esteem to get paid more. According to Ken, the economy doesn’t really matter. It’s important to work out your inner issues with money. He also discusses how if you have higher self-worth, you will begin to attract opportunities where people will pay you more, as you are valuing your time. If you “demand more,” people will not necessarily pay you more. Higher self-esteem comes from being of service for a long time, and as a result, you will receive a higher rate of pay. Clients will appreciate you. Ken believes if you give of yourself first, and strive to do quality work, the universe will respond in a positive way. It is about giving and receiving. This is Part 1 of the interview. | Best Of The Aware Show with Dr. John Mack: How Alien Encounters Affect Societal Consciousness | 20 Jun 2024 | 00:37:47
It seems there are more shows, podcasts, documentaries, and books than ever before about ETs, UFOs, UAPs, and alien contact. How has the phenomenon of aliens affected our consciousness? Why is it so prevalent today? Our esteemed guest today is John Edward Mack, M.D., a Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer and a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1977 for “A Prince of Our Disorder,” his biography of T. E. Lawrence. Dr. Mack is the founding director of the Program for Extraordinary Experience Research (PEER) and today he discusses how the phenomenon of alien experiences has affected the consciousness of our society. Dr. Mack embraced a worldview inspired by elements of spiritual and philosophical traditions which hold that we are all connected to one another. The theme of “connection” to other life was explored most boldly in his study of men and women who reported that recurrent alien encounter experiences had affected the way they regarded the world, including a heightened sense of spirituality and environmental concern. Dr. Mack recorded the experiences of people who were subjected to intelligence profoundly different from our own. He noted that these are healthy, normal people. They are credible and there are hundreds of thousands of people who have had these experiences. They have encountered other multiple dimensions. We are stuck in our restricted three-dimensional consciousness. Dr. Mack has shifted his consciousness and realized that Native People around the world are familiar with this phenomenon. They have had encounters with these beings. What is the difference between spirits and these extra-terrestrial beings? The spirit world is abstract. The “real world” is a physical world, but can spirit manifest as material? Dr. Mack has worked with diverse cultures around the world who have had these experiences. As a psychiatrist, he takes a thorough history of his patients, then evaluates them. Patients do not want to believe that this may have happened. They don’t understand the mystery of these experiences. This pattern of thinking shatters the view that we may be protected. But this is not the view of the indigenous people. It is a Western view to rule out any outer intelligence. This is shattering to the view of the experiencers. Western culture believes that we have control. This shows that we do not. It’s very threatening to our sense of security. If experiencers believe they have been subjected to aliens, they believe they are victims and their consciousness may be restricted. But if they can go into their fear, and experience it, staying with the intense energy, they will access another level of consciousness. It is possible for them to pass through the trauma and experience a profound connection to God/Source and other dimensions, even the beings themselves. There is tremendous energy involved in these encounters. Dr. Mack discusses various types of beings that his patients have described. They present a dire warning about the impacts humans are having on the environment. The fact that these beings do not appear to us in a way that is possible to prove from a 3-D level of science, does not disprove that we are being visited. Our culture is becoming more and more aware of this phenomenon and the possibilities presented that we may not be alone in this universe. Info: www.johnemackinstitute.org.

It’s a more natural way of healing and methods that worked in the past are still powerful today. Regan also talks about infections. How do we get chronic infections in our guts? You need to test to see what type of infection it is in order to heal it. We can get infections from travelling, from parasites, from our pets, even from unsatisfactory conditions in restaurants. If you grew up with a diet where you were exposed to herbicides and pesticides, you probably have an unhealthy gut. Unhealthy genetically modified foods have affected us all. People who live in industrial countries have infections due to toxic exposure. It attacks our immune systems. Detoxing can also help. It’s all based on testing. Mint, parsley, and cilantro are natural ways to help the detoxification process. Exercise is the best way to heal and detox. Movement helps tremendously to release toxins. You can get phenomenal health results by detoxing, and then adding peptides. Regan talks about the dedicated process of taking six months to improve your health. There are no quick fixes. Most people want to change, but it does take courage and commitment. How good would you like to feel? Regan’s team can run specific lab tests and spend time explaining the details and results with you individually. | Corey Lyon Folsom: Successful Communication in Relationships – Part 1 | 11 Jun 2024 | 00:30:10
Do you sometimes not know how to communicate with a loved one? Do you argue with your partner or feel like they are not listening to you? Whether in family and friend relationships, or in romantic relationships, there is a way to respond with more compassion and care. Our guest today is Corey Lyon Folsom, a highly regarded love and relationship coach and the author of his new book, “Soul Statements: A Love Coach's Guide to Successful Communication.” As a certified NLP practitioner and relationship coach, Corey is passionate about helping people expand their empathy and communication skills. After a spiritual soul-awakening in 2009, Corey participated in Ipsalu, Source School of Tantra Yoga, Love Coach Academy, Tony Robbins, and other programs. He has also been a professional tracker, wilderness guide, and vision quest leader. Corey offers tips and ideas to have much smoother, clearer communication in all of our relationships. When someone is complaining or expressing having a hard time, he suggests really listening to what they have to say. Make the other person’s pain valid and try to not react immediately. This will help them feel heard. In order to do this, it’s important to listen to yourself first. Corey talks about “filling your own emotional well.” You can do this by spending quiet time alone, having a strong workout, or visiting nature. It’s important to take time to listen to your own heart. This will help us feel calm and find strength in our center. He also describes “Soul Statements,” what they mean, and how to develop your own. This will help with compassionate communication. Sometimes partners argue and money and finances can be especially challenging. He suggests people go back to their own values, as this gets below the outer circumstances. You can relate more easily when someone is not pointing the finger. Get to the emotions of what’s being felt. We can try to understand our impact on other people. Tell them how you feel, rather than placing blame on them. He talks about non-violent communication and the range of feelings. Corey also touches upon caregiver fatigue and how it’s very common. He asks us to ask, “How can I bring more compassion?” He also talks about the idea of giving and receiving. He suggests pausing before going into an event and spending a few minutes beforehand to ask what you can bring to the conversation. Then, afterward, you can do the same and ask yourself what worked and what didn’t in your communications. He talks about writing Soul Statements and making them personal. How can you move beyond tension? How can you meet someone new and not have the same challenges as you do with others? Corey also suggests going on a “complaint fast” and taking a week or longer and not expressing complaints out loud. If you feel them, be mindful. To be a better communicator, it’s important to be clear. Be authentic in your communications. Don’t share all of your concerns at once but be concise. Soul Statements are present time reminders. Traditional affirmations express a desired state. This calls in a future version of ourselves. A Soul Statement reminds you of what is true and good. When you have unhelpful thoughts like, “I’m not sure,” or “I don’t think I can,” you can do a Soul Statement like “My heart is a trusted guide,” or “There is strength in my center.” When you feel it, it’s so powerful. You feel the truth of it, and you remind yourself of your own strength. “Wisdom is at my center,” and “In my center, I am held in love,” are great ways to start using Soul Statements. They also talk about an owl feather that Lisa found on her recent bike ride and the profound wisdom of nature. They discuss the importance of silence, so that you can hear your soul. Bringing that to the relationship will further deepen communication. This is Part 1 of the interview. Info: CoreRelationship.com

| Judith Orloff, MD: Using Empathy as a Healing Force – Part 2 | 04 Jun 2024 | 00:27:34 | |
Do you enjoy spending a lot of time alone? Are you more of an introvert? Are you sensitive and empathic to others’ needs? All of these traits may make it challenging to navigate our busy, noise-filled lives. Would you like to learn to be a more empowered empath? Lisa continues the conversation today with guest Judith Orloff, MD. Dr. Orloff is a psychiatrist, an empath, and author of the new book, “The Genius of Empathy,” which offers powerful skills to tap into empathy as a daily healing practice in your life and relationships. She talks about how mirror neurons in our brains activate empathy and how empathy then activates the parasympathetic nervous system. This tones the vagus nerve and relaxation can happen more easily. It changes the fight-or-flight reaction. Your immunity increases if you watch an act of empathy. For example, when you see loving, compassionate mothers with their children, it will help you relax. There is empathy in the world, even though all we seem to see on the news are wars and violence. We can affect one another. If you are empathic, for example, and waiting in a long line, you may pick up the feelings of those around you. Being compassionate can change the energy. She also talks about relationships for empaths, including work situations. She suggests keeping a light schedule before an event or planning to stay there just an hour or so. Setting boundaries is very important. She further discusses how empathic people may think things are their fault, but she teaches how to let go and go into forgiveness. She advises us to not think about the past all the time. You can forgive people who hurt you by accepting that they can’t change. If someone is mistreating you, minimize the contact with them or don’t have contact at all if possible. Enforce healthy boundaries. Meditation helps. She also talks about social activists and how retreats and time away can be very healing. It is necessary for them to replenish their energy and develop empathy for themselves. Meditation and mindfulness practices can be very beneficial. She believes all people, no matter their situation, are looking for empathy. When you are around challenging people, she suggests practicing a “sacred pause.” Take a pause, breathe, re-center, and resume the conversation from a healthier place. You can also practice empathic listening, which is a way to hold a support space for someone. She offers practical tools and steps which are included in her latest book, “The Genius of Empathy.” She also hosts Dr. Orloff’s Empath Support Community on social media. It’s free and everyone is welcome. Dr. Orloff has written many books, including “The Empath’s Survival Guide” and “Thriving as an Empath.” She is a New York Times bestselling author and a UCLA clinical faculty member. She synthesizes conventional medicine with cutting-edge knowledge of intuition, energy, and spirituality. Dr. Orloff specializes in treating highly sensitive people in her private practice. She has been featured on The Today Show, CNN, Oprah Magazine, and the New York Times. This is Part 2 of the interview. Info: DrJudithOrloff.com
