Simon and Wendy Bennett bought Augill Castle in the summer of 1997 with a view to opening a bed and breakfast to allow them to raise a family in a big house in the country. The family’s journey inspired Simon to write two books - Undressed For Dinner and Stop For Breakfast, the first winning the prestigious Lakeland Book of the Year Award.
