I've made hundreds of episodes about artists i'm hugely passionate about, but never covered my favorite band, Hanson. Why? I have too much to say about how much I love their music and the way they move through life and the industry... and frankly, I wouldn't know where to begin. Since I'm hosting a giveaway of Hanson tickets and meet & greets for a couple of their shows this summer, I figured it was finally the time to attempt it. I hope it's entertaining for die-hard fans who can relate to everything I'm saying as well as my listeners who maybe aren't as familiar. In this episode, I explain why Hanson is one of the most uniquely talented and savvy bands in music history, talking about their early days that turned into worldwide success and ultimately the creation of their own independent label, 3CG Records. I cover three of their most important songs, sharing personal stories as to why they're so meaningful to me and many of their fans as well as recounting some recent exciting experiences I've had with the band. Finally, I give my opinion about the rumors swirling in the fandom that Hanson might be winding down. After 34 years, are they closing shop, or just getting started?
