From Zero to TikTok Shop Giant: Bloomβs CreatorβLed Playbook
Wednesday, September 23, 2026 β’ Duration 01:06:56
This episode of AOTB has Camille Moore pull back the curtain on how a digitalβfirst CPG brand turned TikTok Shop from a βflashy sales channelβ into a longβterm brand engine. From communityβdriven growth to retail halo effects, Bloomβs playbook shows what happens when you stop treating creators like a tactic and start treating them like the core of the business. In this episode, we explore: β The CreatorβFirst Flip: How Bloom stopped asking βHow do we make TikTok Shop work for our brand?β and started asking βHow do we make it work for our creators?β β and why that mindset change unlocked exponential growth. β From 50 Videos to 1,800 a Day: The systems behind scaling from midβsix figures to sevenβfigure TikTok Shop months, including Discord communities, twiceβweekly creator calls, and radical creative freedom. β Building a 30,000βCreator Army: The internal team structure, noβagency philosophy, and GMV Max strategy that let Bloom empower all tiers of creators, from new affiliates to sevenβfigure sellers, while keeping βcreatorβfirstβ in the brandβs DNA.

The Chaos Economy: Foldable Phones, Betting Booms, and Branding Breakdowns
Wednesday, September 16, 2026 β’ Duration 58:46
Are brands losing their grip on culture β or are consumers simply evolving faster than the companies trying to reach them? This podcast pulls back the curtain on the forces shaping modern branding, media, and influence. From celebrity business moves to luxuryβs identity crisis, from tech giants reinventing themselves to the rise of creatorβdriven culture, brand strategist Camille Moore and business strategist Phillip Millar break down how we buy, behave, and belong.
Itβs the Art of the Brand!
In this episode, we explore:
β The Influence Collision: Wimbledonβs crackdown on influencers and what happens when digital culture collides with tradition.
β The Apple Power Shift: How the βSurprise and Shineβ keynote doubled as a CEO audition β and what the $1,999 foldable iPhone Duo signals for Appleβs future.
β The GQ Identity Crisis: How a failed livestream exposed shrinking demand and what happens when a legacy brand forgets its audience.
β The Betting Boom: How celebrities, athletes, and nostalgia plays like the Entourage reunion are reshaping online gambling culture.
β The Siren Effect: Sydney Sweeneyβs viral Novig ad, the backlash, and the tension between empowerment, sex appeal, and brand authenticity.
β The Calm Economy: Kendall Jennerβs move into functional beverages β and whether βcalm in a canβ is the next big trend or another celebrity misfire.
β Haute Wellness: Diorβs luxury wellness push and what it reveals about lifestyle branding, Gen Z spending, and modern aspiration.

How Brands Destroy Years of Equity
Monday, September 14, 2026 β’ Duration 01:08:20
Some of the worldβs most recognizable brands are starting to look a little less distinctive.
Nike is losing ground to brands that feel more focused. PepsiCo just ended a 25-year agency relationship. Dyson is selling a $500 toothbrush. The US Open opened the door to creators and discovered that attention comes with less control than it used to. Huda Beauty is trying to move past controversy, while Vogue faces a very different challenge: what happens when the person who made the brand what it is eventually steps away?
This week, weβre looking at what happens when the thing that made a brand distinctive starts to disappear.
On the episode:
β Nike: Has Nike moved too far away from the athlete and aspiration that made it iconic? We look at its loss of valuable shelf space, the rise of On and Hoka, and what happens when a brand tries to appeal to everyone.
β PepsiCo: PepsiCo ended a 25-year relationship with Omnicom without a pitch. What does that tell us about the changing advertising industry, and why are long-standing relationships no longer enough to protect a business?
β The US Open: The tournament embraced the creator economy, but inviting creators into your world also means giving up some control over how your brand gets interpreted.
β Dyson: Is the $500 Camera Jet toothbrush a meaningful piece of innovation, or a sign that Dyson is starting to confuse more technology with more value?
β Lindsay Clancy: What does the trial tell us about social media, storytelling and the way emotion can shape public opinion before the full story is understood?
β Huda Beauty: Huda Beauty has survived a controversy that could have seriously damaged a smaller founder-led brand. Can its Cardi B campaign shift the conversation back to beauty?
β Vogue: Anna Wintour has become inseparable from Vogueβs identity. So what happens when the person who made a brand culturally irreplaceable is no longer running it?
Different stories, but the same underlying question: what makes a brand worth choosing, remembering and coming back to?"

Fake Outrage, Branding Fumbles and Real Money: The Business of Pretending Online
Thursday, August 27, 2026 β’ Duration 34:28
This week's episode comes to you from Pacifico in Costa Rica, where we traded the studio for 30-degree weather, the Pacific Ocean, and a community that gave us a very different perspective on what makes an experience feel real.
And fittingly, that's the thread running through this week's conversation: what's real, what's manufactured, and can consumers still tell the difference?
We get into the Nantucket store that declared war on influencers, Nara Smith rejecting the "trad wife" label that helped define her online world, ChatGPT introducing advertising after positioning itself as an alternative to ad-driven search, and the Buffalo Bills risking one of the most authentic fan cultures in professional sports by trying to regulate it.
On the episode:
β Why a Nantucket store put up a "No Influencers" sign, and what the backlash says about where influencer culture is heading.
β How Paige Lorenze and Dairy Boy turned Nantucket into a physical extension of an online brand world.
β Why Nara Smith saying "I'm not a trad wife" created such a reaction, and why sometimes the audience decides what your brand represents.
β Why ChatGPT introducing ads could change one of the fundamental reasons people trusted the platform in the first place.
β How the Buffalo Bills risked killing the magic of one of the NFL's greatest fan traditions by trying to regulate and monetize it.
β Why community can't simply be purchased, and why brands need to know when to amplify what people create rather than control it.
β What spending time at Pacifico reminded us about experience, community and why the things that feel the most valuable are often the hardest to manufacture.
We also share why Costa Rica, and Pacifico specifically, has become such an interesting destination for entrepreneurs looking for a different pace of life, from its proximity to a Blue Zone and medical tourism to the kind of community that makes slowing down feel like an advantage rather than a sacrifice.
AI is making everyone sound the same
Wednesday, August 26, 2026 β’ Duration 59:55
This week's episode is about what happens when technology makes it easier than ever to look like you've built something without actually doing the work. We recorded this one from Manila, where a conversation about AI influencers, ChatGPT, Reddit and celebrity brands kept coming back to the same question: in a world obsessed with shortcuts, what actually makes a brand real?
We break down why Meghan Markle's lifestyle brand struggled to translate celebrity into credibility, how ChatGPT suddenly changed its relationship with Reddit, and why brands trying to game AI search may be solving the wrong problem entirely. We also look at Google's new AI agents calling businesses on your behalf, the rise of virtual influencers with millions of followers, and why the more automated the internet becomes, the more valuable genuinely human creativity may become.
On the episode:
β Why Meghan Markle's move back toward the Royal Family exposes a bigger lesson about celebrity brands, authenticity and trying to manufacture credibility.
β Why ChatGPT's Reddit citations suddenly dropped, and what brands investing in Reddit and AI search need to understand.
β How an $11 fake deodorant brand outranked real companies in AI search without fake reviews, Reddit manipulation or an existing audience.
β Why Google's AI can now call businesses on your behalf, compare their answers and recommend where you should spend your money.
β Why Justin Bieber wants to build a phone, and whether there's actually room for someone to challenge Apple.
β How AI influencers are attracting millions of followers and brand deals despite the people behind them not being real.
β Why virtual influencers could become incredibly valuable to retailers, and what that means for the creator economy.
β What J.K. Rowling and great advertising copy teach us about the one thing AI still struggles to manufacture: original thought.
β Why the smartest way to use AI isn't to outsource your thinking, but to accelerate the work after you've done the thinking yourself.
Did ChatGPT Design Instagram's New Logo?
Monday, August 24, 2026 β’ Duration 55:03
This week's episode is about the difference between getting attention and actually knowing what to do with it. Alex Cooper just raised $500 million for Unwell, BΓIS sold to Samsonite for $210 million, Instagram changed its identity and pissed off the internet, and the WNBA has more attention than ever while struggling to control what that attention is actually doing to the brand.
The common thread is simple: attention has become one of the most valuable assets in business, but attention alone isn't enough. The companies winning are the ones that know how to turn it into trust, community, distribution and ultimately enterprise value.
On the episode:
β How Alex Cooper turned Call Her Daddy into a $500 million media company, and why creator-led media is challenging the traditional agency model.
β Why shutting down Unwell Hydration may actually be one of the smartest decisions Alex Cooper has made.
β What BΓIS's $210 million sale to Samsonite tells us about celebrity brands, acquisition multiples and knowing when to exit.
β Why Instagram changed its identity after ten years, and when a brand refresh is actually worth the money.
β Why Reddit may be the most valuable consumer research tool brands have right now, and why trying to manipulate it could backfire.
β Whether AI is quietly flattening creativity by making it too easy to skip the difficult thinking that produces great ideas.
β What Martha Stewart's criticism of Meghan Markle reveals about the difference between borrowing attention and earning authority.
β How the WNBA gained enormous attention but lost control of the conversation, and why attention that doesn't reinforce the brand can become a liability.

AI can create everything except this
Thursday, August 13, 2026 β’ Duration 01:07:36
This week's episode is about what happens when the internet starts having more bots than humans. AI can now search, shop, write, clip content and increasingly make decisions for us, but the more efficient everything becomes, the more valuable distinctly human qualities like taste, imperfection, judgment and real connection become.
We recorded this one from Austin after two weeks on the road, and it turned into a bigger conversation about where branding is heading in an AI-first world. From executives outsourcing their thinking to Disney handing its content vault to TikTok creators, Jimothy the raccoon becoming an unlikely internet phenomenon, and Cracker Barrel learning the cost of forgetting what customers actually loved, the same lesson kept showing up: technology can scale almost anything, but it can't manufacture genuine human connection.
On the episode:
β’Why "AI wishing" could be one of the biggest mistakes executives make as they adopt AI.
β’What it means now that bots are reportedly generating more internet traffic than humans.
β’Why search is moving from keywords to contextβand what brands need to change for AI discovery.
β’Why Disney and HBO are betting on clipping their existing content instead of simply creating more.
β’What Jimothy the raccoon teaches brands about imperfection, weirdness and why people actually care.
β’Why Cracker Barrel's failed rebrand is a warning about changing what your customers already love.
β’How Bethenny Frankel is using world-building to turn an audience into something much bigger.
β’Why being present, putting down your phone and thinking for yourself may become the ultimate advantage in an AI-first world.

The Motorcycle Crash That Started a Wellness Empire
Monday, August 10, 2026 β’ Duration 01:14:57
This week's episode is about what nine years of obsession looks like before anyone is watching. We sat down with Dr. Jason Wersland, the chiropractor who built Therabody out of a hardware-store jigsaw after a motorcycle accident left him in constant pain. He never ran a real ad campaign, and somehow the same device ended up on NFL sidelines, in Emirates first class, and on your mom's nightstand. This one is a masterclass in earning trust instead of buying it.
On the episode:
β How a motorcycle accident led Jason to invent the Theragun with a $250 jigsaw from the hardware store.
β Why a $400K agency couldn't come up with the name Therabody, but one late night in a conference room did.
β How Jason got pro athletes using Theragun before the brand ever ran an ad.
β Why Therabody refused to call its face products "beauty," and what it called them instead.
β Why Jason builds products so durable that customers never need to buy a second one.
