| Service over Sales: Cultivating an Empathy Selling Mindset with Megan DiPiero | 29 Jun 2022 | 00:38:06 | |
One of the hardest things for a professional photographer to do is raise their prices. But why is that? Once you make that mindset shift, selling and scaling becomes so much easier. In this episode, I chat with coach, speaker, and author Megan DiPeiro about selling with confidence and raising your prices. Megan shares the mindset shifts that have to happen before you can sell your work as a luxury service. She explains why luxe photography is about the experience, not just the final product. | Choose Your Own Adventure: Effective and Authentic Social Media Strategies for Your Photography Business - with Tyler McCall | 13 Dec 2021 | 00:50:30 | |
If you are someone who struggles on how to make social media work FOR your business...vs sucking you into a blackhole of endless scrolling, and you need a little permission to show up as yourself, this episode with Tyler McCall is for you! How can we manage our social media authentically? It takes a different approach. I call it the creator mentality versus the consumer mentality. Get into the creator vibe mentality of "I'm using these platforms, to find my dream customers, connect with people, build community, have conversations, using the foundation of it is creating really great content. It needs to be the right content for your audience at the right time. And doing that consistently is what's important. How do we take a social media Sabbatical? You have to get your nose out of your phone and the air pods out and be present. Even if you just delete the apps from your phone for the weekend, or, the holidays. Just practice that presence and look for opportunities where you can tell a story or an experience you could elaborate on that is inspiring and you can share with the world. You can still have content going up multiple times a week on social media, just use a scheduler and repurposed content. How do we know whose advice to take on running an online business? Ask yourself, am I making these decisions on my own, or am I letting someone else make these decisions for me? I think there's a difference between seeking out information and a proven process or system that you can implement in your own business or getting coaching from someone who has a proven track record and can help get you where you want to go. That's very different than being in an environment where it really seeds a lot of self-doubt about what you're doing How can you reignite an Instagram profile? It's really important to think about who our ideal follower is and what kind of content they want from you. Then we can start creating content that is personal and connects with other individuals and provides some kind of value and helps them in some way. It is either educational, inspirational, aspirational, beautiful or entertaining. When we think about why someone would follow us and then what they want to get out of following us, then we can let that start to influence our content strategy.
