Mikel Del Rosario, Peter Gurry, and Kurt Jaros discuss the nature of changes and differences we find in the wording of the handwritten copies of the Bible that have ben discovered, focusing on how well the message of the New Testament has been preserved. While scribes may have changed the exact wording in the copies they made, we have not lost the message of the Bible! Note: When textual critics talk about errors, they mean scribal changes or mistakes in copying (not theological or historical errors). The doctrine of inerrancy is not at stake in discussions of textual criticism.
