Sean Martin19 Sep 202500:14:22

Sean Martin is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and driving force behind The Quarantined, a band renowned for its raw, unflinching sound and fearless exploration of challenging subjects. A songwriter who isn’t afraid to confront trauma, injustice, and the darker corners of the human experience, Sean brings an intensity and honesty to his music that connects deeply with listeners.

Much of his writing is rooted in his own battle with PTSD, which has shaped both his perspective and his art. Songs like “Shadow,” written during a time of personal crisis, channel the weight of dread, intrusive thoughts, and sleepless nights into powerful, cathartic music. For Sean, creating is more than just making records—it’s a way of reclaiming control, pushing back against oppressive systems, and transforming pain into something that inspires resilience.

On stage and in the studio, Sean delivers with unrelenting passion, blending heavy riffs, haunting melodies, and lyrics that don’t shy away from uncomfortable truths. His vision for The Quarantined goes beyond just music; it’s about sparking awareness, encouraging defiance against injustice, and giving a voice to those struggling in silence.

David Fairchild14 Jan 202200:20:00

A girl who feels nothing; a boy who sees shadows and hears what others cannot; a baby without a licence to be born; a deaf teenager and scientific savant; offensive people; a general who passed a law to hunt, imprison, and kill them all.

Where do they hide when the sub-nations of the United States draw their lines in the ground that dictate which people get to be oppressed and who gets to be offended?

The Salvo Cartel built the tunnels to help them escape, to aid those with mental ailments, those who question, those who refuse to conform, gays, Christians, artists, people with scruples, and other deviants.

Do they flee to Salvo's underground cities, with eyes set on a grander safe place?

Where do they go when Lady Liberty douses her light?

Perhaps the same place she's been pointing her torch towards ever since she stepped atop her pedestal and realized at once that one day she, too, would be told to shut up.

Joseph Valente13 Jan 202200:13:34

The Apprentice winner Joseph Valente on the push to electrifying transport networks and a focus on sustainability

The majority (70%) of small businesses in the UK are looking to make 2022 the year in which they put the focus firmly on going green and the same percentage are confident they will achieve their goals for the next 12 months, playing their part in helping the government reach its carbon emission targets.

With more than three quarters (77%) of SMEs saying resolving to develop a sustainable business model is a top goal for the next 12 months and almost two thirds (66%) also putting the emphasis on digitising their business, according to Mercedes-Benz Vans research, there is a real appetite to make changes at the start of a new year.

Indeed, 61% of small business owners plan to switch to electric vehicles this year, with more than half (54%) seeking to electrify their transport networks before the end of 2022.

The main drivers behind these resolutions for the year ahead are the many business opportunities it

provides (41%), how it will help change the negative impact businesses have on the environment (39%) and customer expectation for them to become more eco-friendly (39%).

However, SME owners say they need help with 37% believing there is not enough public funding to help adapt to a more sustainable business model. This makes 40% of them feel unsupported by the government, 35% feel at a disadvantage and leaves 26% frustrated.

Small businesses are concerned by how their sustainability is perceived with 15% saying they have already been questioned by customers about their eco credentials while 61% of owners would cease working with a partner or supplier if they were not true to their environmental promises and half are worried about the sustainability credentials of their partners / suppliers.

Joseph Valente, the 2015 winner of The Apprentice, is perfectly placed to answer SME owners’ questions and provide reassurance because since being helped in creating his business by Sir Alan Sugar he has been advising companies around the country how they can achieve their business objectives and therefore produce the results they need to flourish and grow.

With a new series of The Apprentice underway, Joseph can explain what you need to succeed and can cast his eye over the runners and riders entering Sir Alan’s boardroom this time around and who he thinks is most deserving of following in his footsteps.

Brooke Burgess07 Jan 202200:12:42

After 25 years in the entertainment industry writing, directing, and producing videogame, animation, interactive narrative and audio projects, this award-winning Canadian creator kills two bucket-list birds with one stone: 1) make epic cross-genre music + video project and (far more importantly)…become a Dad.

While others baked quarantine sourdough or caught virtual fish in Animal Crossing, Burgess (Electronic Arts, Broken Saints, The Cat’s Maw, Buddha and the S**t) wrote, produced, shot, edited, recorded, and mixed the lion’s share of DADBOD while stuck in Southeast Asia during ‘peak pandemic’. And now? Nearly two decades on from a win at the Sundance Film Festival that launched a storied interactive narrative career, these 20 songs and videos are more than just a mid-life singer/songwriter flex — they’re the legend of an incredible boy, the man transformed by his love, and the kind of bond that comes around one in a thousand lifetimes. Oh…and dinosaurs.

When Brooke isn’t getting spiritually schooled by his toddler super-Buddha or pushing back the date of his next novel, he’s the Narrative Director for a groundbreaking ‘wellness technology’ firm in the Netherlands.

Sean Sheeter07 Jan 202200:15:53

After working with his late partner, AJ Meyer for 12 years in the early 2000s, 73-year-old Sean Sheeter, who graduated from the University of California San Diego, with a degree in psychology, has solved the #1 question posed at the STRING 2000 Physics Conference :

“Are all the (measurable) dimensionless parameters that characterize the physical universe calculable in principle or are some merely determined by historical or quantum mechanical accident and incalculable?”

Exactly 21 years ago, on October 11th, that question was fully Answered by the “Monolith Number”

NU = 203 + 1/241.

The difference between Theoretical Speculation and Reality is the very DEFINITION OF GOD as the NONLOCAL TOTALITY of an ANTI DE SITTER SPACE-TIME whose CYCLE ENDS after 88.088 Billion Light Years, thus FULFILLING Revelation 21:6: "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.”

If space-time has been determined and the beginning and the end of time can be calculated to be approximately 88.088 billion light-years then that coincides directly with Revelations 21:6.

What Revelations refers to as: “The beginning and the end.”

Simply put, Sheeter aims to use mathematical equations, deciphered over many years of painstaking research, to prove that 88.088 billion light-years is the beginning and the end of time. It was God that in fact created this cycle and that God must exist somewhere outside of this cycle.

Sheeter is currently working exclusively with Denver based media company, Brand Brain Media, to showcase his many years of research findings into a feature documentary “Definition of God” slated to premiere in early 2022 on Amazon Prime.

Abigail Damoah06 Jan 202200:10:52

My name is Abigail Damoah, I was born, raised and educated in the United Kingdom. In 2014, I was sentenced to 12 years in Florida state prison for a crime that I didn’t commit. I served 5 years of that sentence before my case was dismissed by the 4th district court of appeals.

After graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University, I moved to the United States to further my education. I was involved in a road traffic accident, I was the driver, my passenger was killed, and I was seriously injured. I returned to the United Kingdom to recover, and several years later, the state of Florida issued an extradition warrant for my arrest, I had been charged with vehicular homicide.

While I was waiting to be extradited, I studied the law surrounding my case and found that I should never have been charged with a crime according to the Florida Statues definition of vehicular homicide, but due to the biased nature of the extradition treaty between the United Kingdom and America, I lost my extradition battle. I was remanded in Holloway prison for 6 months, before being extradited to America.

I took my case to trial and lost, and got sentenced to 12 years in Florida state prison. The 4th District Court of Appeals dismissed my case based on the fact that no crime was committed when the accident took place, I wasn’t breaking any rules of the road, and long before charges were even filed, it was discovered that there were no road signs on the exit ramp due to it being under reconstruction at the time, making it very confusing for someone unfamiliar with the road.

After my release from prison, I received no compensation because the state of Florida has certain laws protecting itself against being sued for wrongful convictions. I received no help from the United Kingdom either, I was told to go on benefits.

I had to build my life back from nothing, but today I am a successful personal development copywriter, speaker and author. My book She is Risen will be re-released on 28th January 2022.

Dr Emeka Okorocha06 Jan 202200:05:08

More than a million students will be travelling across the country to go back to university after spending the Christmas holidays back home and while it is great that we have been able to spend time with friends and family this year, everyone still needs to be cautious as they head back to their studies.

To ensure that students do not bring Covid-19 back to university, they are being reminded to take a free rapid Covid-19 lateral flow test ahead of going back to university, so they can have peace of mind and ensure they are not spreading the virus to friends, fellow students and teaching staff.

As well as testing before travelling home, students are encouraged to carry out additional actions to help stop the spread of Covid-19, including:

* Arranging a free PCR test if you have symptoms

* Opening windows regularly, to stop covid hanging around.

* Wear a face covering when on public transport

* Get your Covid-19 vaccine and booster jab when invited

Even though the vaccines are our best defence against the virus and reduce our chances of hospitalisation, we do still have the ability to catch the virus and pass it on to others.

Dr Emeka Okorocha understands that around 1 in 3 people with Covid-19 have no symptoms which is why he is encouraging students to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 and to take a free rapid Covid-19 test before they head back to uni.

Lesley Waters & Liam Sweeney24 Dec 202100:15:28

A traditional Christmas dinner is pretty much a pimped-up roast, however with all the trimmings and many of us having different takes, twists and dietary requirements it can seem like a huge challenge.

It turns out 47% of UK adults can't cook a full Christmas dinner from scratch.

The reasons behind this, include 33% saying they've never been taught how and the same amount stating they don't have the space or equipment, according to research by Co-op.

Cranberry sauce tops the list of items Brits claim to be the least likely they can cook from scratch, followed by:

1. Cranberry sauce (81%)

2. Bread Sauce (73%)

3. Christmas Pudding (73%)

4. Mince Pies (64%)

5. Pigs in Blankets (50%)

6. Parsnips (49%)

7. Gravy (44%)

8. Brussel Sprouts (43%)

9. Roast Turkey (40%)

10. Roast potatoes (33%)

As a result, 34% don't plan to cook a Christmas dinner this year.

Instead of slicing and dicing, 55% confess they'll rely on others to cook for them instead, 15% will forego the dinner entirely and 8% plan to eat at a pub or restaurant.

However, all is not lost as 41% say next year they want to learn how to cook a full Xmas dinner from scratch!

So, what is the best way to learn? Being taught by an expert or someone who has lots of experience and learning close to where you live are the preferred methods to gain these cooking skills.

20% would want face to face sessions as opposed to virtual learning and 18% want to learn from someone like themselves.

Perhaps due to a lack of culinary skills, 35% of Brits say they expect to waste food this Christmas.

Brussel Sprouts, turkey and Christmas cake are the most likely items to go to waste followed by bread sauce, potatoes and Christmas Pudding.

Brits want for reducing food waste is increasing as now 67% say they would find advice on how to reduce what they throw away helpful.

Co-op is committing to doubling its network of community fridges in partnership with environmental charity Hubbub, funding a further 250 fridges, which will save a total of 34 million meals from going to waste annually across the network of 500 fridges.

To encourage Brits to get in the kitchen and rustle up a Christmas Dinner next year, TV Chef Lesley Waters is on hand to give her tips and tricks for cooking from scratch.

Alongside Lesley is Liam Sweeney, Hubbub's Creative Partner who can tell us more about the charity's partnership with Co-op and the community fridges.

Both Liam and Lesley are also on hand to help guide us through reducing food wastage this festive season.

Shropshire, who typically performs under the name "Dr. Elmo," is best known for his Christmas novelty song "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer". He originally recorded the song in 1979 with his then-wife Patsy, then re-recorded it solo for the 1992 album Dr. Elmo's Twisted Christmas and again in 2000 for the album Up Your Chimney. Howard Blake23 Dec 202100:49:25

Howard Blake OBE FRAM is a composer, conductor, and pianist whose career has spanned more than 50 years and produced more than 650 works. Blake's most successful work is his soundtrack for Channel 4’s 1982 film The Snowman, which includes the song "Walking in the Air". He is increasingly recognised for his classical works including concertos, oratorios, ballets, operas and many instrumental pieces.

Missing music, Blake played the piano in pubs and clubs for a couple of years until being discovered and signed by EMI to make a solo album and work as a session musician on many recordings. This led to work as an arranger and a composer, employment that gradually became his full-time occupation.

In the late 1960s, on the recommendation of Bernard Herrmann, Blake began working as a keyboard player and arranger with veteran screen composer Laurie Johnson on music for the hit ITV television series The Avengers. During the program's sixth and final season in 1968–1969, Johnson was commissioned to write the soundtrack music for the feature film Hot Millions; to enable him to work on the film score, Johnson recruited Blake to take over composing duties for him, and Blake composed the incidental music for ten complete episodes of that series. In 1970, shortly after the series finished, he lived in a beach hut in Cornwall for about two months, "to get away from it all".

Over an active career he has written numerous film scores, including The Duellists with Sir Ridley Scott and David Puttnam, which gained the Special Jury Award at the Cannes Festival in 1977; A Month in the Country with Kenneth Branagh and Colin Firth, which gained him the British Film Institute Anthony Asquith Award for musical excellence in 1989; and The Snowman, which was nominated for an Oscar after its first screening on Channel 4 in 1982, and has won many other prizes internationally. From this, his famous song "Walking in the Air", for which he also wrote the lyrics, was the success that launched Aled Jones in 1985 (although Jones only recorded the song three years after the release of the film, while the song on the soundtrack is sung by the St Paul's chorister Peter Auty. Blake's concert version of The Snowman for narrator and orchestra is now performed worldwide, as is the full-length ballet of the same name, launched in 1997, which in 2013 celebrated its 16th consecutive Christmas season for Sadler's Wells at the Peacock Theatre in London.

In 1980, Blake was commissioned to write an orchestral music score for Flash Gordon, in collaboration with Queen. He was given only 10 days to produce the results, and after completion fell ill with pneumonia brought on by exhaustion. He recovered, and he and Queen were jointly nominated for a BAFTA Award. It was, however, a disappointment to him that the makers of Flash Gordon did not use much of his score.

Blake has composed many concert works, including the Piano Concerto commissioned by the Philharmonia Orchestra for the 30th birthday of Princess Diana in 1991, in which he also featured as soloist; the Violin Concerto to celebrate the centenary of the City of Leeds in 1993; the cantata to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations in 1995, performed in the presence of the Royal Family in Westminster Hall; and the large-scale choral/orchestral work Benedictus, championed by Sir David Willcocks and the Bach Choir, which was given its London premiere in Westminster Cathedral in 1989 with Cardinal Basil Hume as narrator, and which has been widely performed ever since.

Dr Ellie Cannon23 Dec 202100:15:25

During the festive season, the Government and NHS are asking everyone to continue to take measures to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 and have a happy and safe Christmas.

As part of its festive campaign ‘Let’s Stay Safe This Festive Season’ GP Dr Ellie Cannon shares their advice on how to have a great time whilst carrying out actions that will keep us all safe by helping reduce the spread of Covid-19.

This festive guidance includes:

 *  Testing before meeting people and reporting your result

 *  Isolating and booking a PCR test if you have symptoms

 *  Wearing a face covering on public transport and in shops

 *  Opening windows to let fresh air in when friends and family are over

 *  And getting your Covid-19 booster vaccine if you are aged 18+

While vaccines remain our best defence against Covid-19, you can still catch the virus so following other actions such as opening windows to let in fresh air, wearing a face covering and using a lateral flow test before meeting up with others, and testing if you have symptoms, will also help to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and other winter viruses.

Special Izzi17 Dec 202100:09:02

I’ve been creating things to make us better as a people my whole life. I’ve made a board game that teaches Sign language that I never marketed. The happylilsmellies I have created are starting to get a nice little buzz in my area so I know I’m making smiles that way.

I wouldn’t call myself a professional singer-rapper by any means but an artist who loves to spread my colours. I’ve been singing since I was a kid but never got a chance to take lessons. I had that one moment in middle school where my whole classroom stopped to hear me sing Unkle Kracker's “Follow Me.” The feel of giving people that rush of energy from my singing stayed with me. Words with rhythm have more of an impact on us than those that don’t. My goal through all my avenues is to make people smile.

Sean Grinsell17 Dec 202100:16:01

My name is Sean Grinsell. I am an aspiring songwriter, producer and performer who writes rock, blues, and psychedelic instrumentals. I’m from the Metro Detroit area but currently live in Chicago, Illinois. I’ve been involved in music since the 3rd grade, learning trumpet in a concert band.

By my sophomore year of high school, I began to develop a deeper passion for music, picked up learning drums, and joined a band. My love for music only became stronger as I learned the keyboard and started songwriting. The goal of my songwriting is to bring my listening influences to applications that haven’t been heard before.

My music is influenced by groups such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram. I hope you enjoy the music that I create!

You can find me on Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter under the username “sean_grinsell”. I’m deeply looking forward to creating more and sharing more of myself through the art of music! I hope you will consider joining me on this musical journey!

As the author of ‘2020, The Year That Tried to Kill Me: A True Story’ Oliver Morrison is quick to point out, this isn’t a sob tale. Though the subject matter relates the horrific story of his struggles with ill-health it is really about how Oliver stayed positive and retained his sense of humour throughout a year in which he fought for his life with a mysterious flu like illness which caused a collapsed lung, pneumonia and a fractured rib. Then came another huge health scare - a brain haemorrhage caused by aneurysms that resulted in a blood clot on the brain and a stroke during the operation that saved his life. The story is intended to give the readers hope, especially in the wake of Covid-19 and Long Covid and inspire them not to give up in the face of adversity, no matter how harsh it may seem.

Dr Emeka Okorocha10 Dec 202100:05:39

UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ARE URGED TO TAKE A COVID-19 LATERAL FLOW TEST BEFORE HEADING HOME THIS CHRISTMAS TO PROTECT FRIENDS AND FAMILY

* All university students are being asked to avoid taking Covid-19 home for the Christmas break by taking a rapid Covid-19 lateral flow test before travelling home.

* The call comes as new research reveals a third (33%) of students are already planning nights out with friends when they're back home, so now is a crucial time to remind students of the importance of testing

To coincide with the end of term, all university students are being encouraged to take a rapid Covid-19 Lateral Flow test and report their results online before returning home for the Christmas break; to minimise the spread of the virus from one area to another across the country.

This comes as students start to plan their return home for the holidays - with new research revealing over half (55%) are looking forward to recharging after a hard term, 57% are looking forward to seeing family and friends, and a third (33%) are already planning a night out with old friends when they're back home.

Now is a crucial time to ensure that students know the steps and behaviours to take to limit the spread of Covid-19 to friends and family.

While the life-saving vaccines remain the best defence against Covid-19, people can still catch the virus even if they have been double vaccinated and received their booster. With around one in three people with Covid-19 showing no symptoms, and with young people more likely to be asymptomatic, it could be passed onto others without knowing.

That is why students must take a rapid Covid-19 Lateral Flow test before returning home to ensure they don't take Covid-19 home with them and spread the virus to friends and family, giving them peace of mind.

The research also revealed that of those students who said they had not been planning to take a rapid Covid-19 test before travelling home, over half (53%) said that, when told the benefits of the test, they now would take one before they return home. As well as testing before travelling home, students are encouraged to carry out additional actions to help stop the spread of Covid-19, including:

* Taking a rapid Lateral Flow test before a period of higher risk i.e. socialising with friends and indoor environments, and reporting results online

* Arranging a free PCR test if you have symptoms

* Opening windows regularly, particularly when on public or private transport travelling home, and then again at home when friends or family visit

* Wear a face covering when on public transport

* Get your Covid-19 vaccine and booster jab when invited

Dr Emeka Okorocha, an A&E doctor, said: "I know when I was studying, I couldn't wait to get back home for the holidays, and with Christmas, on the horizon, university students will be travelling across the country to spend the Christmas holidays at home.

Whilst it's so great that we are all able to spend this time with our family and friends this year, we do still need everyone to be cautious. This is because around 1 in 3 people with Covid-19 have no symptoms and could be breathing it onto others without knowing. So, to make sure that you're not taking the virus home with you for the Christmas break, take a rapid Covid-19 lateral flow test and report your results online at gov.uk before you travel back."

Students can get the tests from their university if they have them, nearest pharmacists or can order them online at nhs.uk/get-tested. Tests are free and simple with results in around 30 minutes.

Vin Zeeland10 Dec 202100:17:11

Vin Zeeland was born in South East Wisconsin. He spent his childhood developing his communication skills through music, conversation and reading. A love for writing came while he was in college. But writing children’s books came much later in life. His career began with writing, recording, and touring in the music industry. With his first album under his belt, Vin became a dad.

As the years rolled on Vin went to college, embarked on a speaking career, recorded another album, and

added three more daughters to his family. That’s when things got interesting. During the economic downturn of 2008, the family moved to California to take up farming in the beautiful Cascade mountains. They stayed in California for two years and moved back to Wisconsin. Vin resides in Texas and Wisconsin. His children are grown, his grandchildren are growing.

He spends his day reading, writing, relationship coaching, and marketing. Vin still writes solo music under the name Ruthies Space Bus. He is currently writing another Children's Series highlighting Texas culture. Check back often for Zeeland's Young Adult Fiction, and Short Stories too.

Vin is a Foodie, loves reading, writing, storytelling, travelling to National Parks, and exploring Museums.

Nelson Angel10 Dec 202100:20:20

I’m a screenwriter and video/film producer. After research for months about aliens visiting Earth (scientific research more than conspiracy theories), I decided to write a book in a format similar to a video or film to stimulate readers imagination and creativity. I mixed all scientific information in a fiction story with characters living that scenario.

I decided to write in a fiction format because a book in a format of a documentary would be extensive and boring.

As a screenwriter, I decided to write a book in the same format; a book the readers can use their imagination as they go from page to page. I also described places and information based on research made with authorities on this area to be accurate to the situation happening in the story. All this scientific research was added in a fiction story to stimulate readers imagination and creativity.

Humanity on the brink, aliens invading, would we survive?

We’re not ready for an alien invasion. But it doesn’t matter; they’re already here. How would humanity react? What happens as our everyday lives fall apart? What are the realities of this scenario?

And most importantly; if an advanced civilization invaded, would we survive?

Based on many hours of scientific research, this book strives to be as accurate as possible about what would happen during an alien invasion. With real-world locations, believable situations such as characters learning of an approaching space ship via the media, and realistic human responses, this book echoes reality.

Even the aliens are three-dimensional, realistic beings with motives, rich heritage, and their own emotions and behaviors. Using science, logic, and what top minds imagine would happen in the face of an invasion, that author takes us on a realistic fictional account that’ll keep you thinking long after you’ve read the final page.

Mayim Vega09 Dec 202100:32:03

Mayim Vega is a Naturopathic Herbalist & Holistic Life Coach. She started Arukah.com in 2009 to help people become healthy and heal themselves of serious diseases such as cancer,  heart disease & high blood pressure, diabetes, as well as other common issues such as hormone imbalances, abnormal bleeding, migraines, eczema, kidney stones, gallstones, cataracts, urinary tract infection, and more.

She has studied nutrition, herbalism, naturopathy, and health and life coaching. She learned from the top healers of our generation, the kind of people who are censored, blocked, forced to move their clinics out of the country, or worse, because their health and healings are so powerful they would topple the modern medical system if allowed to flourish.

People started began asking her to start teaching what she knows, including 2 medical doctors. So when she realized that there was such a demand for the knowledge she has, that even medical doctors were willing to learn from her, she shifted the focus of Arukah.com to delivering her Naturopathic Herbalist and Health Coach Certification Program. Now she trains people to become the healers of their home and community, and create profitable online health coaching businesses.
