BONUS EPISODE 03 | Full moons are obsolete AF. These days, all a werewolf needs is repressed childhood trauma with a splash of marital woes! In this episode of Terrorific, host Brandon O. and special guest, Isaiah Swanson (aka The Bitter Wolf), run as a pack to dissect Leigh Whannell’s 2025 supernatural horror film Wolf Man.
Set in the beautiful-yet-dangerous remote mountains of Oregon, Wolf Man tells the story of a family man seeking closure from his past and a revitalized connection with his wife, only to be infected by a disease that begins to transform him into a feral and noticeably hairless werewolf. Weird but ok.

EPISODE 38 | Limber up and come on down for a relaxing stroll across the great ‘MURICAN landscape! Forget about those armed soldiers and just focus on that cutie patootie next to you! In this episode of Terrorific, host Brandon O. hits the road with a breakdown of 2025’s dystopian horror film, The Long Walk.
Adapted from Stephen King's 1979 novel of the same name (originally published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman), The Long Walk tells the story of a brutal competition where 50 teenage boys must walk nonstop while maintaining a minimum pace or face execution, until only one remains. Pretty awkward. Listen along as Brandon humorously recaps the film’s plot and analyzes its themes, including hope, political symbolism, and the queer-coded starcrossed romance at the heart of it all. Ray + Pete 4ever ♥️
BONUS EPISODE 02 | Lions and tigers and an incel Bear, oh my! PSA: forcing someone to participate in a warped wet dream is very bad. In this episode of Terrorific, host Brandon O. and special guests, Alé & Tom from the Macabre Mondays podcast, try not to choke on the red-pills as they break down the biggest horror hit of 2026, Curry Barker’s Obsession.
Shot on a micro budget of $750K, Obsession is a supernatural and psychological horror movie that tells the story of Bear – a seemingly nice guy who makes a wish using the magical One Wish Willow for his unrequited crush, Nikki, to love him more than anything else in the world. What could possibly go wrong? Listen along as Brandon and Macabre Mondays’ married duo recap the film’s plot (adding humor along the way) and dissect its themes, including underlying commentary on toxic relationships, male entitlement, bodily autonomy, and the manosphere ideologies Bear represents. Seriously, this guy SUCKS.

Season 4 · Episode 9
Tuesday, August 4, 2026 • Duration 56:54
EPISODE 37 | Homicidal kids sacrificing their parents to a corn demon sure is one way to beat the flyover state allegations. Do we need to bring back spanking? In this episode of Terrorific, host Brandon O. frolics through the cornfields of Nebraska with a breakdown of the 1984 horror cult classic, Children of the Corn.
Adapted from Stephen King’s 1977 short story of the same name (later published in 1978’s collection Night Shift), Children of the Corn follows a couple as they unwittingly stumble into a deserted town where a cult of murderous children have a habit of offering adults to a demonic deity, He Who Walks Behind the Rows. Listen along as Brandon hilariously recaps the film’s plot and dissects its themes, including the dangers of blind faith, religious fundamentalism, and navigating external influences on impressionable youth. Someone really needs to ground those little hellions!
Is Children of the Corn Worth Watching? | With an average Letterboxd rating of 2.7, the film is often criticized for its slow pacing and lackluster execution, with Brandon giving it a personal rating of 1.5 stars. However, diehard Stephen King and horror fans alike may still want to give it a chance for its chilling premise and iconic imagery.

Peter Horton as Burt

The Mangler Analysis & Recap: Auntie Origami
Season 4 · Episode 8
Tuesday, July 21, 2026 • Duration 55:15
EPISODE 36 | Whether it’s fitted sheets, femurs, or fibulas, our equipment here at Blue Ribbon Laundry can fold anything! Stain remover sold separately. In this episode of Terrorific, host Brandon O. steams and presses his way through the 1995 Stephen King horror film featuring a bloodthirsty laundry machine, The Mangler.
Adapted from Stephen King’s 1972 short story of the same name, The Mangler follows small-town cop John Hunton as he investigates a series of gruesome incidents centered around a, seemingly demonic, industrial speed iron and folding machine. Listen along as Brandon humorously recaps the film’s plot and analyzes its themes, including the illusion of control and the inheritance of family burdens and trauma. Daddy issues much?
Is The Mangler Worth Watching? | The Mangler is a Stephen King Night Shift adaptation that leans into occult horror, demonic possession, and dark themes of human sacrifice, generational trauma, and corrupt small-town power structures — all revolving around a killer industrial laundry machine. Despite being a collaboration between three horror legends — Stephen King, Tobe Hooper, and Robert Englund — the film’s silliness leads to misfires more times than not, earning only a one-star rating from Brandon (but a 2.7 average on Letterboxd). However, the use of gory practical effects should serve as a high point for horror fans.
Cast & Crew:
Robert Englund as Bill Gartley — best known as Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise
Ted Levine as Officer John Hunton
Daniel Matmore as Mark Jackson
Vanessa Pike as Sherry Ouelette
Dimitri Phillips as George Stanner
Lisa Morris as Lin Sue
The Mist Analysis & Recap: Noir 36
Season 4 · Episode 7
Tuesday, July 7, 2026 • Duration 01:05:11
EPISODE 35 | Calling all seafood lovers! Come on up to Bridgton where our calamari is literally out of this world! It may bite back, but that’s a later problem. In this episode of Terrorific, host Brandon O. highly advises you to stay indoors as he analyzes one the best Stephen King movies with its infamous ending, 2007’s The Mist.
Adapted from King’s 1980 novella of the same name, The Mist is a science fiction and psychological horror film that follows David Drayton, a husband and father living in Maine who gets trapped inside a local grocery store with his young son and fellow survivors after a mysterious, monster-filled mist rolls into town following a powerful storm. Listen along as Brandon recaps the film’s plot and dissects its themes, as what begins as a survival horror story quickly evolves into something far more terrifying — a tale about what fear does to ordinary people.
From giant tentacled creatures and acid-webbing spiders to alien pterodactyls tearing people apart, The Mist is loaded with plenty of gruesome moments to satisfy any horror fan that Brandon hilariously breaks down through his usual dark humor. The Lovecraftian monstrosities are bad, but the biggest danger? A self-proclaimed prophet and her proselytizing. Godspeed!
Is The Mist Worth Watching? | Brandon rates it a 3.5 out of 5 on Letterboxd (in line with its 3.4 average), with the lackluster and aged CGI being the film's biggest weakness. But despite its visual shortcomings at times, it remains a masterclass in tension, character, and thematic depth that horror and Stephen King fans alike shouldn't sleep on. A new adaptation is also in the works at Warner Bros., with Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep) at the helm — and Flanagan has confirmed it will go in a completely different direction from the 2007 version.
Cast & Crew:
Thomas Jane as David
Marsha Gay Harden as Mrs. Carmody
Laurie Holden as Amanda

Adapted from King’s 1983 novel of the same name, the film centers on the harrowing tale of Louis Creed, a father who unwittingly sacrifices his family’s safety for the sake of his own grief. Brandon dives into the film’s themes of navigating such grief and parental responsibility, finding ways to humorously comment on them while also relating to his own life and experience as a father. Wait, are we getting deep?
