Time, Space & Face
Brett Fox Solo Exhibition
1553 Platte Street, Denver, Unit 100

March 5th – March 28th

In his first solo show Brett Fox brings an unorthodox form of photography; from his photographing of people and places, to experimentation with movement, materials and process, it is ultimately about faces, “the roadmap of the soul.” His work creates visions that lean more towards feeling than storytelling, a “transmission” of the visual, into a rhythmic experience. Fox’s work feels deeply personal, and unexpected, lending first a title of more contemporary artist, than photographer.

This show brings one year’s worth of compelling work and growth together, exploring the viewer’s perception of time as it relates to an unchanging subject, and physical space between the work and the viewer.

WORKS IN PROCESS – Collaboration featuring Michael Dowling & Brett Matarazzo

A progressive journey elevating the process as performance art.

Date March 5th – March 26th  Location – BRDG project - 1553 Platte Street, Denver 80202

In their first collaboration exhibition, Dowling & Matarazzo let process drive. Traditionally shows glorify the completed work, which is but a second in the hour of creativity… but the beauty and interest in both of their works lies equally in journey. Focusing on materials and process, both traditional, and unorthodox, invites the patron into the depths of the art process, and turns the show inside out.

They explore both growth and deconstruction, as a means to what drives beauty and regeneration before, during, and after completion. The show starts with the blank canvas, materials and tools as almost installation, while its eventual end is it’s actual Opening.
