He's having a fag, but he is here, honest. This week... Marking work and dealing with student complaints from 10,000 kilometres away. Sabai sabai...

Last week I decided to pack my rucksack and head back to the UK: a decision I'm annoyed at myself with for not making sooner! Anyway, today's a bad day but, it's Friday so, here's my update. In the meantime, I've a case of red to sink into. Adios.

Whilst completing my first ever Zoom class (to nearly 90 students) I realised nobody had started the written elements of my work. But sabai sabai, it's Thailand!?! This realisation, and the comparison to my friends' situations here, leads me to highlight the reason why I will never leave. Finally: This Podcast needs you (and your sexy voices!). Head to Anchor.FM and leave me a voice note to include in future. They can be about anything. They can be questions or statements, reflections or rants. Teacher, travel, covid-focused or otherwise. I don't know who, but analytics inform me I now have five regular listeners. So clear your throat, come on in and speak with me.

Back home in Thailand. Got wine in my hand, friends by my side and a rooftop up above. Happy days.

After escaping German quarantine the race is really on to make it back in time for the already-delayed funeral. Our roller coaster ride has nearly ended - but not before police pull-overs and a near first class heart attack 😙

After leaving Thailand for my dad's funeral, I tested positive for Covid19. Join me on the roller-coaster ride I encountered during an already difficult time... No sim cards, expired bank cards, forgotten credit cards and German quarantine... I promise the tone isn't as morbid as the content description suggests! #TooManyObstacles 🙄

Reflections of Preston bus station, eating out and special occasions with the family. Dad, you've been by my side since my first breath. Today might mark the three month anniversary of your funeral but your love for life will always be ever present. Love you, and miss you, and see you again soon one day.

Other voices won't be joining for (at least) another fortnight. So this week, it's me, myself and you sexy bastard! Today marks the three month anniversary of my dad's funeral and, given Sunday is Father's Day in the UK, I've decided to dedicate this evening's bottles of red to him.
