They set aside time to talk to two of of the associations's leaders about their home state and their vision for the society. Dr. Curzie received my undergraduate degree from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. I majored in biology with a minor in psychology. Dr. Franz was one of my favorite professors, offering guidance and excitement about my career choice. I chose to go to the fountainhead of Chiropractic, Palmer College of Chiropractic. My father and I visited the college and got to attend a rugby game. One of the players got injured on the field. A bunch of guys ran onto the field, one performed an adjustment on the player. He got up and ran into the game like nothing ever happened! My entire experience at Palmer was one I will never forget. I am still friends with many faculty and staff there and I still get great hugs from the ladies at the bookstore.Dr. Joel Adkins, DC The philosophy of chiropractic is so important to me that I spent over five years obtaining a degree in Chiropractic Philosophy. The power that made the body, heals the body explains much of what we do. The body knows how to function, it just needs no interference. I love adjusting children, they respond so well and so completely. Dr. Adkins, a lifelong Alaskan, graduated from Oregon State University in 1996 with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and Human Performance with a focus on Sports Medicine. Dr. Adkins received his Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2001 from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA. | Got Documentation? w/ guest Dr. Gregg Friedman | 09 Sep 2022 | 00:49:22
Dr. Jay and Brad talk to another expert, Dr. Gregg Friedman, DC on documentation. Listen to how he built his companies and responded to this subject matter. Dr. Friedman's comments: When I was just five years old, like most little kids, I had a ‘hero.’ Not a fireman, or the President. My hero was my dad. I’m lucky. I look to him for advice, and he is a real inspiration to me. He teaches me a lot about life and, more importantly, about my future. In fact, he shapes my destiny. But that’s not all… You see, dad is our family doctor, too. As far back as I can remember, my entire family sees dad for all of their health problems and to ‘stay feeling good.’ And, he would entertain us with story after story of ‘miracle cases’ in his office. Dad is always so passionate about his work. And, listen to this… One day, dad and I have a talk after he ‘adjusts’ me. He explains that he removes nerve pressure in my body, and that the human body knows how to heal itself, and because of that he doesn’t use drugs or surgery at all. And, you know what? The adjustment doesn’t hurt – it actually feels good. So, after dad and I have our talk, I know that I want to be a chiropractor like my ‘hero’, dad. And that’s how it happened! It’s strange how life is, because now people come to see me with their health problems and concerns. Several times a day patients thank me for helping them with their health problems. But I can’t really take the credit. My confession is that I’ve never healed anyone of anything. What I do is perform a specific spinal adjustment to remove nerve pressure, and the body responds by healing itself. We get tremendous results. It’s as simple as that! While growing up in Scottsdale for most of my life, I attended Chaparral High School and graduated from Arizona State University. While at A.S.U., I completed the pre-med requirements while getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. I attended Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (now called Southern California University of Health Sciences) and graduated in 1986. I quickly moved back to Arizona and began practicing in Scottsdale. In 2006, I moved our office to the Arcadia area, closer to home. I like to explain all the options to patients and serve them where they want to be served. Although many of my patients have been coming in regularly for years, I also enjoy seeing the look on a skeptical patient's face when we get them feeling better faster than they ever imagined."

| ”Vertebral Artery Dissection” Facts and Fiction w/ Guest Dr. William Lauretti, DC | 29 Jul 2022 | 00:47:15 | |
Recent articles about Vertebral Artery Dissection in the national press have raised the controversy and called upon expert responses from the chiropractic profession. In this episode of TechTalk, Dr. Jay Greenstein and Brad Cost interview Dr. William Lauretti, DC about the subject matter to help the profession understand the issue, learn to look for symptoms, and how to answer patient questions. My wife and I have a young son, who reminds me every day that my actions today impact his future. I have spent my life in West Tennessee and know the values we all share. | "The Thunder From Down Under" w/ Mr. Paul Wright | 20 May 2022 | 00:48:00
Dr. Jay and Brad interview Mr. Paul Wright about his book, The One Minute Practice.
For nearly 20 years I was a typical hard working health professional – much like you - arriving at my clinics early in the morning – treating clients all day – struggling to also find the time to fix staff issues and other business problems - only to finally arrive home in the dark – totally exhausted – spend a few minutes with the kids ( if I was lucky) – have a quick bite to eat – then get on the computer to catch up on the practice management items I did not have time to do during the day - then get up the next day and do it all again. I was living the nightmare of many good intentioned health professionals – who went to university with dreams of helping lots of people live better and more enjoyable (and pain free ) lives – only to finally open their own practice – and discover that the real world of health business ownership was a combination of long days, staff dramas, over reliance on you to do everything and no time for family and friends. Transforming My Business - and My LifeFortunately – I was able to get myself out of this nightmare – before it was too late – I started cutting back my consulting hours – to spend more time on the important areas of health business management, staff training, system development, marketing, recruitment – and all the other essential areas of business management I have been neglecting for many years. The results were amazing – I was able to systematize my clinics- even expand to the point where I had 6 clinics, was seeing no clients, visited these clinics for only an hour or so each week or 2 – and did not even live in the same city as 5 of them. By this time – other health business owners were asking me how I was able to run the businesses remotely and have such a great quality of live – so I started running seminars and producing programs, DVDs and packages where I shared my hard earned business knowledge and experience with fellow health business owners from such professions as Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Podiatry, Osteopathy, Massage Therapy –even Dentist, Orthopaedic Surgeons and Optometrists.

Naota talks about how he has figured out many things to create a successful practice and heavily rely on successful systems knowing if he create repeatable processes in your office that can be executed by your team, life will be a lot easier. He found frustrations years ago from the lack of automated processes related to practice management software finding that a fair number of doctors and found similar issues with other practices. Even after using other third-party plugins for key performance metrics, he was still exporting data and creating his own spreadsheets because it wasn't the perfect dashboard. There was still double data entry, and none of it was attached to the follow-up and follow-through process. Plus, the more moving parts, providers, and service centers, the more likely he found patients falling through the cracks, wasted time creating spreadsheets, and frustrated staff. TrackStat software was designed from day 1 to provide a visual workflows for each user. It allows the clients to make decisions based on real data filtered down by various criteria to make an effective decision based on data rather than gut feelings.
