We are starting off strong this season with Waxheads, developed by Patattie Games. Find out why we think this game is more than the sum of its parts and one of the best cozy games we've played this year.

Since season 2, we've been playing The Lost Loaf Chapters 1 and 2 from @lostloafstudio. Chapter 3: Circus in the Sky is out now on itch.io. We also played an early release of The Little Crumb demo from @luigi_thelittlecrumb. We were interviewed on Ellie's wonderful substack 'Cozy Gaming over 40', which you can also find on Instagram. Finally, Erin was interviewed for Confessions of a Gamer Girl podcast, which was streamed August 5th and be found on their podcast, including YouTube.

Who doesn't like to hear the mistakes of others? Get ready for some Moomin, Mickey Mouse and obscure Danney Kaye references. We are so excited to share how impossible it is to get a sentence out without messing it up and demonstrating how eloquent we are. These are just the things we thought were funny, and we hope you do too.

Cozy games have a remarkable ability to create a safe space to explore uncomfortable themes. Set sail for a discussion about death that will make you laugh and cry (the game that is. We hope this episode won't make you cry!). Join Alex and Erin in their season 2 finale on Spiritfarer. Join us after a few weeks for season 3, but look out for the bonus episodes to keep you busy in the meantime.

Run away with us to a bookish seaside to start a new life as a travelling book seller. See what all the well-deserved hype is about in our episode about Tiny Bookshop. Erin sings. Quite a lot.

It's not as grim as Grimm's, but if you've ever wanted to play at the witch, this is your game! Forage, scheme and brew at the justice-minded witch of the woods in Wytchwood.

Be the entity doling out justice, putting wrongs to right and saving fair maidens in Wytchwood. Episode out now.

Combine farming, foraging, helping your neighbourhood, overthrowing a local conspiracy and dance battles and what do you get? Ooblets of course! You won't regret playing this joyful game or listening to Alex and Erin chat about Ooblets.

What's it like to play a video game with an established couple instead of dating and romancing a love interest? Add exploration, combat and cozy activities and you get Haven. Not just a game for romance or romantics at heart, Haven explores meaning relationships while expanding combat game mechanics and making sure you can pat every creature along the way.

Don't write Innchanted off as an Overcooked variation. With storyline, outfit changes, a day/night cycle and underlying message, Innchanted is one charming, fun and (dare we say it?!) informative game made by Australian devs with genuine First Nations consultation.

Join Alex and Erin as they enjoy this light, fun game that can be played in weekend but has real world themes like conservation. And nodding. So much weird nodding.

Remember the last time you dreamt you were following a fox and you ended up telling your partner about your dead father? Us neither. The First Tree is a gentle puzzle platformer with some heavy but beautiful ideas that will make you think. Find out why Alex and Erin enjoyed it in this episode of Tea and XP: A Couple's Cosy Gaming Podcast.

For this bonus episode, we'll be doing three of a kind, with a theme of silly, short co-op games.

There's a lot of games we want to discuss but they might not make it to having a standalone episode (because they might not have the narrative or ideas we generally try to discuss on Tea and XP).

Why Silly 2 players?

Because this is a couple's cozy gaming podcast and gaming together has always been part of our gaming experience so we want to share that with our listeners.

Join Alex and Erin as they discuss Biped, Untitled Goose Game, Phogs and more. Season 2 coming soon.
