Imagine this scenario with me… You didn’t grow up watching a galaxy far, far away like a lot of kids. Instead, you spent most days reading your mom’s People Magazine and US Weekly. What does that lead to as an adult? You become TMZ reporters and street interviewers like Adam Glyn and Dax Holt. This conversation is basically off the rails from the beginning, but you’re going to love it.

Adam Glyn grew up in New Jersey just outside of New York City. Like many college graduates, Glyn had difficulty finding a job, so comedy found him. He became a staple in the New York Comedy scene performing at clubs all over the city and opening for headliners around the country. In 2010, Glyn was approached by a rising entertainment news outlet looking to expand into NY. He changed the paparazzi scene into “street journalism.” He interviewed the biggest politicians, musicians, actors, athletes, and social influencers in the world. Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump, Jimmy Carter, Tony Robbins, Tim Ferris, Floyd Mayweather, Connor McGregor, Shaquille O’Neal, David Letterman, Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, Kevin Hart, Derek Jeter, Usher, Rihanna, Ronda Rousey, and many many more. Beyoncé even put him in her music video for the hit song, “XO.” Shaquille O’Neal is known for picking him up wherever he is, putting him in his car, and making him hang with him for the day. Widely cited for his journalism in the 2014 “Ray Rice news conference” with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, making the Yale Public Library for #4 Quote of 2014.

Joining Adam is his co-host on Hollywood Raw Podcast, Dax Holt. During his 11 years at TMZ, Dax quickly became one of the most recognizable faces of Warner Brothers’ hit entertainment show. While with the organization, he earned two Emmy-nominations for his work and became their top on-air correspondent. Dax has appeared on countless other programs such as Access Hollywood, The Talk, Dish Nation, and more notably Live! with Kelly. His engaging personality led him to become a finalist during the widely publicized national search to co-host alongside Kelly Ripa. Dax’s wild sense of humor, contagious laugh, and presence on both the internet and television set him apart.

It’s almost impossible to describe the height of expectations that BB-N8 had going into our viewing of The Batman earlier this week. He knows everything there is to know about the production of this movie. Read hundreds of reviews. And all this did was raise those expectations even higher. Coming into this week, his excitement had rubbed off on me and Sam and we were at a crazy level too. Did The Batman come close to delivering?

This interview is going to be unlike any you’ve heard before on Tatooine Sons. I’m joined by Dominic Pace. You’ve probably heard about him and his story of getting the chance to play a bounty hunter in Chapters 1 and 3 of The Mandalorian. He’s been on the show a couple of times before. But this interview isn’t about Star Wars. It’s about something so much more important.

Dominic began studying with members of the Actors Studio Mimi Turque and Susan Batson in 1995. He then moved on to William Esper's two-year program where he studied under Terry Knickerbocker. He has been awarded "Best Actor" at the 2004 Palm Beach International Film Festival for his performance in the independent feature, Little Kings. He was a member of The MET Theater Company and the Tim Robbins Company, and The Actors' Gang in Los Angeles. During the Pandemic of 2020 and 2021, Dominic toured the country in an effort to support Small Business Comic Shops. Through autographs of his Gekko character from The Mandalorian, he helped raise over $35,000 for the stores, along with over $10,000 for charity. Mayors of Houston, TX and Sioux City, IA named a day after him in recognition for his contribution to the local economy. The Mayor of Cleveland, TN awarded Pace with the Key to the City. And now, Dominic has an important message he feels compelled to share with the world, that’s so much bigger than Star Wars.

Some of the most amazing epic stories in all of history are found in the Bible. And over the years, many have tried to adapt these stories into comic book form. But too often, these comics end up disappointing. Today, I’m joined by two of the creative minds behind a new series that seeks to change all of that.

Chronicles of Faith is a collaboration between Mercy Ways Studios and Brainy Pixel that has the potential to reinvent the Christian Comicbooks genre. Iván Anaya is a comic artist whose work experience includes companies like Image Comics, Dynamite Comics, DC Comics, among others. He has also made independent comics in Argentina, Bra zil, and El Salvador, was Conceptual and Narrative Artist at Stonebot Studios in the videogame area and now at Mercy Ways Studios as an Art Director and Lead Comic Artist and Writer. Creator of the series “Fear Not," which won the Best Children's Biblical project in Germany in 2017. Now, he leads Mercy Ways Studios team to create Chronicles of Faith. Joining me and Iván is Brannon Hollingsworth of Brainy Pixel. He’s an author, speaker, poet, producer, publisher, game designer, content creator, script writer, art director, and unapologetic Christ-follower. Brannon is the author or co-author of over a dozen novels, novellas, and short stories and the co-creator of a game that Forbes called “a clever idea well executed” and “excellent”.
