In trying to describe the scene on the card, I didn't think to look at the description in the little white book. Here it is:

"Two corpses, a mother and child, stand on a polluted beach. The child attempts to re-enter the womb of his mother, but is held back. Another will be born soon. With death comes rebirth."

Maybe part of the message of this reversal is you can't go back to the way things were, no matter how much you wish to, so stop trying; the only way to go is forward.
