A security guard at a Family Dollar Store in Michigan was shot and killed after he told a woman she could not come into the store, because she was not wearing a face mask. An Arkansas man took his 11-year-old step-son hostage, and fatally shot him, before being gunned down by police officers.A camping and shooting trip, attended by three off-duty LAPD officers, ended with one of them seriously shot, and another arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.Finally, in Florida, a newspaper article exposed the fact that Gregory Tony, current Broward County sheriff, killed a man in 1993, when he was 14-years-old. Tony had kept the incident a secret, and did not disclose it when he applied to become a police officer, or when he was appointed sheriff.

A Washington man is facing federal murder charges in the death of 21-year-old Dioneth Lopez, whose body was discovered on a logging road in the Olympic National Forest on Valentine’s day.Police in North Carolina say that 19 children, between the ages of 9 and 16, were involved in a recent string of car heists at dealerships in the Winston-Salem area.Finally, a California man, who is suspected of murdering his estranged girlfriend, Erlinda Villareal, and her two young sons, was taken into custody in Colorado following a day-long manhunt.

An Oregon romance novelist, who is charged with the murder of her chef husband, has her request for COVID-19 bail release denied.NYPD officers, investigating a domestic assault, discovered the decomposing body of a different victim in an apartment in the Bronx.Finally, one of the wealthiest men in Norway was arrested on suspicion of killing his wife, and fabricating an abduction to cover up the crime.

The US postal service is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the murder of Indianapolis mail carrier, Angela Summers. Summers was fatally shot while delivering letters on Monday.In Washington state, a 13-year-old suspect in a deadly shooting reportedly told investigators he committed the crime ‘just because he felt like it’.Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing soldier, Vanessa Guillen, who vanished from her post at Fort Hood army base in Texas last Wednesday, leaving all her personal belongings behind.Finally, in Arizona, police say they have evidence that a man and his stepdaughter, who were reported missing last week, may be deceased. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene.Finally, the skeletal remains of 46-year-old Ohio woman, Cheryl Cocker, were discovered in Green County this weekend. Cocker had been missing since October 2018, and her husband has been named a suspect in her homicide.
