In this episode, I’m joined by two incredible young dancers from Sydney—Orlando and Sam! At just 22, they’ve been dancing for nearly a decade and recently made an impressive debut at their first-ever Boogie Woogie World Championship, advancing straight to the semi-finals.

We dive into their journey into WRRC competitions, how they prepared for this milestone, and what it’s like being part of the Sydney Swing Katz. They’re young, full of energy, and bringing a fresh vibe to the world of swing and Rock’n’Roll dancing.

Alongside her long-time partner Markus, better known as Kuschi, Jessy has spent over 15 years competing at the highest levels, teaching across Europe, and co-founding the beloved 567 Swing Dance Camp.

We dive into the magic of small festivals, what truly matters to Jessy when she’s teaching, and the secret to her and Kuschi’s enduring success. Plus, we explore the profound role dance plays in her life and how she continues to inspire dancers around the world.

Flora and Thorbjørn, two times World Champions and European Champions in Boogie Woogie, decided to leave the life as full time dance teachers behind and go in a new direction. Still a big inspiration for today's generation, they decided to take a different approach at life and get "traditional" jobs. They look back at the time when they were still competing and talk about what they don't miss about being a swing dance teacher, travelling the world most of the time.
