This week, we focus on music teachers. We compare and contrast the styles of Mr. Fletcher from the 2014 film Whiplash; and Mr. Holland from the 1996 film Mr. Hollands Opus. Lindsey's father was a music director of the Cripple Creek Crickets in Indiana, and we are joined by Heather Barnes, whose father was also a music teacher and band leader of the Trinity Lutheran Church Contemporary Band, in which Heather and Steve were both members. We discuss both dads and their teaching styles, and our own personal experiences playing music in bands.
