Sunday Edition Presents: Dan Kysor The Conversation25 oct. 202601:12:41

SUNDAY EDITION WITH ANTHONY CORONA

DAN KYSOR: A LIFE OF ADVOCACY, ADVENTURE, AND RECREATING YOURSELF

From the Front Lines of Disability Rights to Finding New Ways to Live, Learn, and Play

Some people spend their lives reporting on history. Others help make it.

Dan Kysor has done both.

In this wide-ranging, deeply personal, and frequently funny conversation, Anthony Corona sits down with journalist, disability rights advocate, technology pioneer, and author Dan Kysor to explore a remarkable life that has been anything but ordinary.

And while Dan's newest book, Recreating Yourself: Accessible Activities for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Adults, helped bring these two together, the conversation goes well beyond the pages of any one book.

Dan takes us back to his childhood, growing up blind with Leber congenital amaurosis, and shares stories about family, independence, sports, taking chances, and learning life's lessons along the way.

We explore his memoir, Blind Like Me, including the contributions of his mother and how her recollections helped bring another perspective to the story of his early life.

Then we travel back to a remarkable period in American history.

As a disability rights journalist for Pacifica Radio in Berkeley and Metromedia Radio in New York, Dan covered the demonstrations and struggles that helped shape the modern disability rights movement.

He eventually worked alongside the legendary Judy Heumann at the Center for Independent Living in Berkeley.

And his personal perspective on Judy, someone he knew and worked with rather than simply admired from a distance, may surprise some listeners.

Dan also takes us behind the scenes of his years as Director of Governmental Affairs for the California Council of the Blind, where his advocacy helped advance important legislation involving tactile signage, guide dog protections, and services for blind Californians.

We explore his pioneering work creating the Global Blind Exchange, an information-sharing resource that existed before the World Wide Web became part of everyday life.

That leads to a fascinating discussion about the evolution of accessible technology, where we have made extraordinary progress, where barriers remain, and whether today's innovations are always delivering the independence they promise.

Of course, we also talk about writing.

From his memoir to practical resources for everyday independence, Dan has never been particularly interested in writing books simply to fill shelves.

His latest project began with a very personal realization. At 70, he wanted to become more active, exercise, and explore new recreational opportunities. But finding accessible information and resources was far more difficult than it should have been.

So Dan did something about it.

The newly expanded second edition of Recreating Yourself explores accessible sports, recreation, hobbies, fitness, and creative pursuits for blind and low vision children and adults.

We're talking about much more than traditional adaptive sports. From athletics and outdoor activities to creative interests and technology, Dan wants people to discover possibilities they may never have considered.

And perhaps most importantly, he wants people to get up, get out, get moving, and rediscover the joy of participating in life.

Throughout this conversation, Dan is generous with his stories, his knowledge, his experiences, and his humor. He speaks with the perspective of someone who has witnessed enormous change, helped bring some of it about, and still believes there is plenty of work worth doing.

This is a conversation about history, family, independence, advocacy, recreation, and the extraordinary possibilities that open up when we stop assuming that blindness determines what someone can or cannot do.

BOTH SIDES OF THE BLINDNESS COIN ON GRIEF AND MORE! With Lori Scharff and Jennifer Frederick23 oct. 202600:51:40

BOTH SIDES OF THE BLINDNESS COIN ON GRIEF AND MORE!

With Lori Scharff and Jennifer Frederick

A new conversation series from Anthony Corona Media, home of the Sunday Edition Family of Podcasts.

What happens when blindness has been part of your life since childhood?

What happens when you lose your vision in the middle of a career and a life you thought you understood?

And how do those different experiences shape the ways we understand grief, independence, identity, and the journey forward?

In the inaugural episode of Both Sides of the Blindness Coin, Lori Scharff and Jennifer Frederick bring two very different perspectives to a deeply personal conversation about blindness and low vision.

Jennifer lost her vision during the prime of her career as a result of diabetic retinopathy.

Lori became totally blind by age six due to retinopathy of prematurity and a subsequent retinal detachment.

Together, they explore receiving a medical diagnosis, the complicated emotions surrounding vision loss, the grieving process, and the role of blindness rehabilitation services.

Their experiences are different, but their conversation reveals important common ground.

There is no single blindness experience. There is no universal timeline for grief. And there is no one correct path toward acceptance, adaptation, or independence.

This is an honest conversation about navigating change, understanding ourselves, and recognizing the different ways people experience blindness.

Join Lori and Jennifer as they open the door to an ongoing series of conversations that will explore blindness and low vision from both sides of the coin. Search for this episode in the Sunday Edition with Anthony Corona Podcast feed wherever you listen or click the link below….

Double Tap 10 Years of Tech, Talk and Tom-Foolery 19 oct. 202601:16:07

DOUBLE TAP. TEN YEARS OF TECHNOLOGY, TWO DISTINCT VOICES, AND A WHOLE
NEW CHAPTER.

A CONVERSATION WITH STEVEN SCOTT AND SHAUN PREECE

Ten years.

In the world of technology, that's practically several lifetimes.

And when you're talking about accessible technology, podcasting,
artificial intelligence, and the ever-evolving experiences of the
blind and low vision community, a decade represents an extraordinary
amount of change.

This week, Anthony Corona welcomes Steven Scott and Shaun Preece, the
voices behind Double Tap, for a lively, thoughtful, and wide-ranging
conversation about where they've been, where they're going, and what
comes next.

But before diving into the technology, we get to know the people
behind the microphones.

Who are Steven and Shaun as individuals? What brought them together?
How did their professional partnership develop into the unmistakable
chemistry, humor, occasional disagreements, and candid conversations
that have become hallmarks of Double Tap?

We explore the evolution of Double Tap over the past decade, the
changing landscape of podcasting and digital media, and the
extraordinary transformation of accessible technology.

From the tools we relied on ten years ago to the rapidly emerging
possibilities of artificial intelligence, the conversation touches on
some of the innovations, challenges, and questions shaping the way
blind and low vision people navigate an increasingly connected world.

And let's face it. Technology is moving so quickly that even an
hour-long conversation can barely scratch the surface!

Then we turn our attention to an exciting new chapter.

DOUBLE TAP LIVE.

Building on a decade of trusted programming and community engagement,
Double Tap Live introduces a 24-hour streaming service dedicated to
disability-related content, with a strong focus on the blind and low
vision community.

It's an ambitious undertaking that opens the door to new voices, new
perspectives, new programming, and new opportunities for connection.

What inspired the launch? What do Steven and Shaun envision for the
network? How might it evolve, and what role can it play in
strengthening the communities it serves?

And beyond the technology and programming, we explore something
equally important.

The responsibility we share as members of the blind, low vision, and
broader disability communities.

How do we support one another while making room for different
experiences and perspectives?

How do we balance innovation with accessibility, advocacy with
accountability, and enthusiasm for new technology with thoughtful
examination of its limitations?

What responsibilities do content creators, technology developers,
advocates, and community members have in shaping the conversations
that influence our collective future?

These are questions without simple answers, but they're conversations
worth having.

And we certainly had plenty to say!

In fact, we had so much ground left to cover that we've already begun
discussing a follow-up conversation.

Because sometimes one episode simply isn't enough.

Anthony Corona Media is proud that Sunday Edition with Anthony Corona
is one of the featured programs on Double Tap Live, joining a growing
collection of voices dedicated to informing, entertaining,
challenging, and connecting audiences.

We're excited about the possibilities this new network represents and
delighted to be part of its journey.

This episode is more than a look back at ten years of Double Tap.

It's a conversation about friendship, collaboration, change,
innovation, community, and the future of accessible media.

And perhaps most importantly, it's a reminder that behind every
microphone, every technological breakthrough, and every ambitious new
venture are people with stories worth hearing.

Join Anthony, Steven, and Shaun for the first of what we hope will be
many great conversations.

Because after ten years of Double Tap, it seems the conversation is
only getting started!

Presented by Anthony Corona Media, home of the Sunday Edition Family

of Podcasts and Digital Media Content Services.

Stop the presses! Break out the confetti! And get ready to celebrate a

remarkable moment for accessibility! 🎉

HapWare has been named one of TIME Magazine's Best Inventions of 2026!

That's right! An innovation born from the desire to make the world

more accessible is receiving recognition on one of the world's biggest

stages for innovation.

And when news this exciting breaks, you know Sunday Edition isn't

going to let the moment pass without a celebration!

Anthony Corona welcomes HapWare cofounder and CEO Jack Walters, the

fabulous Blindy Girl herself, Serina Gilbert, HapWare's Social Media

and Community Engagement Manager, and Mac, a beta tester who has been

part of the HapWare journey almost since the beginning.

Together, we're celebrating the people, the passion, the perseverance,

and the possibilities behind this extraordinary achievement.

For those just discovering HapWare, its groundbreaking ALEYE

technology uses wearable innovation and haptic feedback to help

communicate visual information, including nonverbal cues, in ways that

can open new possibilities for blind and low vision users.

But this conversation is about so much more than technology.

It's about an idea that became a mission.

It's about a team that believed accessibility deserved something extraordinary.

It's about the people who rolled up their sleeves, tested the

technology, shared their experiences, and helped shape what HapWare is

becoming.

And it's about what happens when innovation, collaboration, and the

lived experiences of the blind and low vision community come together.

Mac brings a particularly fascinating perspective, having witnessed

the evolution of the technology from nearly its earliest days.

Serina brings her unmistakable enthusiasm, community perspective, and

passion for connecting people with possibilities.

And Jack? Well, Jack has plenty to celebrate, plenty to share, and a

few surprises up his sleeve!

🎁 WAIT! DID SOMEBODY SAY SPECIAL OFFERS?

You bet we did!

Jack didn't come to this Sunday Edition celebration empty-handed!

There are special opportunities for listeners, and we're not talking

about them here!

No spoilers. No giving away the surprises. No unwrapping the presents

before the party!

Want to know what Jack brought to the celebration? Want to discover

what might be waiting for you?

You'll have to listen to the podcast!

And trust us, you don't want to miss that part of the conversation!

🏆 A MILESTONE FOR HAPWARE. A MOMENT FOR ACCESSIBILITY.

Recognition from TIME Magazine is a tremendous achievement for any innovator.

But when that recognition shines a spotlight on technology designed

with accessibility at its heart, the celebration takes on an entirely

different meaning.

It reminds us that accessibility innovation belongs in the mainstream

conversation.

That blind and low vision voices belong in the development process.

And that technology designed to expand possibilities deserves

recognition, investment, attention, and applause.

There is still so much to discover, so much to develop, and so much to

look forward to.

But today, we're celebrating how far HapWare has come and imagining

just how far it might go.

An exciting time for accessibility.

An exciting time for wearable technology.

An exciting time for HapWare.

And a wonderful reason for the Sunday Edition family to come together

and celebrate!

🎙️ JOIN THE CELEBRATION!

Hear the stories behind the technology, the experiences of an early

beta tester, the excitement surrounding this TIME Magazine

recognition, and the surprises Jack Walters brought along for our

listeners.

The news is big.

The possibilities are exciting.

And the celebration is just getting started!

A LITTLE HAPWARE HISTORY FROM THE SUNDAY EDITION ARCHIVES! 🎙️

Want to understand the technology behind the celebration? Curious

about where it all began and how HapWare evolved into the innovation

being recognized today?

Sunday Edition has been following this remarkable journey for nearly

two years, and we invite you to revisit two earlier conversations with

Jack Walters and Dr. Bryan Duarte.

NOVEMBER 3, 2024.

IS HAPTIC TECHNOLOGY ABOUT TO BRIDGE THE GAP OF SENSORY IMPRESSIONS

AND NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION?

This is where our HapWare journey began!

Anthony welcomed Jack Walters and Dr. Bryan Duarte, then representing

HapChic, for an introduction to technology designed to translate

facial expressions, gestures, and other nonverbal communication cues

into tactile feedback.

We explored the science of haptics, the possibilities of sensory

substitution, and what this emerging innovation could mean for blind

and low vision individuals navigating everyday social interactions.

It was an exciting first look at an idea with extraordinary potential.

REWIRING THE MIND, REFRAMING THE JOURNEY A Personal Conversation with Melissa Archer Introducing her revolutionary new APP NeuroRewire: Rewire & Reframe 14 oct. 202601:18:18

SUNDAY EDITION WITH ANTHONY CORONA 🎙️🧠💙

REWIRING THE MIND, REFRAMING THE JOURNEY

A Personal Conversation with Melissa Archer

Introducing her revolutionary new APP  NeuroRewire: Rewire & Reframe

Presented by Anthony Corona Media, Home of the Sunday Edition Family of Podcasts and Digital Media Content Services.

What if some of the reactions we have carried for years are not permanent parts of who we are?

What if the stories we tell ourselves can change?

And what if the brain can learn another way?

This week on Sunday Edition, Anthony Corona welcomes actress, web developer, entrepreneur, and self-proclaimed nerd Melissa Archer for a deeply personal, revealing, and sometimes wonderfully unexpected conversation about neuroscience, resilience, emotional well-being, and the remarkable possibilities of learning to think differently.

Of course, millions of daytime television fans know Melissa from her unforgettable performances as Natalie Buchanan on One Life to Live and Serena Mason on Days of Our Lives.

We spend a little time revisiting her career, but this conversation takes us somewhere very different.

For the full exploration of Melissa's acting career, memorable characters, and experiences in daytime television, we encourage listeners to enjoy our earlier Next Generation Entertainment Soaps special, A Dramatic Evening with Melissa Archer.

This time, we're going beyond the characters and behind the curtain.

We're talking about the woman herself.

The creator.

The thinker.

The woman who found herself asking difficult questions about her own mind and ultimately decided to do something with the answers she was discovering.

And yes, we discovered something else along the way.

We share a mutual love of Stuart Smalley, the unforgettable Saturday Night Live character whose daily affirmations reminded us that we are good enough, smart enough, and, doggone it, people like us!

There is plenty of laughter in this conversation.

But there is also a remarkable amount of truth beneath the humor.

Because sometimes the most difficult conversations we have are the ones taking place inside our own heads.

TWO DIFFERENT JOURNEYS. SOME REMARKABLY SIMILAR DISCOVERIES.

Melissa opens up about anxiety, performance, neurodivergence, confidence, difficult auditions, and some of the deeply personal experiences that led her to examine how her brain responds to the world.

She shares intimate details about challenging periods in her life, the emotional patterns she began recognizing, and the questions that eventually led her to explore neuroscience, neuroplasticity, and the practice of reframing our thoughts.

Anthony comes to this conversation from a very different journey, including the experience of sudden blindness and the continuing process of learning, adapting, and discovering who he wants to become.

Different lives.

Different circumstances.

Different reasons for asking some of the same questions.

Yet both have found themselves exploring the possibility that some of our most familiar reactions can be challenged, reconsidered, and gradually reshaped.

What happens when we recognize an automatic response before acting on it?

Can we learn to approach an uncomfortable situation differently?

How much of what we tell ourselves is based on what is happening today, and how much comes from experiences we have carried for years?

And how do we begin changing those patterns without pretending that the difficult things we have experienced never happened?

These are not abstract questions for either of us.

They are part of our lives.

FROM PERSONAL DISCOVERY TO NEUROREWIRE

Melissa's journey eventually led her to create NeuroRewire: Rewire & Reframe, an app designed to help people recognize negative thought patterns, practice reframing, and develop a more intentional relationship with their thoughts and emotional responses.

Drawing upon concepts associated with neuroscience and behavioral practices, the app introduces exercises involving breathing, emotional labeling, positive evidence, affirmations, reflection, and repetition.

But this is not simply a conversation about technology.

It's about the personal experiences that inspired the technology.

Melissa shares what led her to begin researching these ideas, how her background as a developer helped her turn those discoveries into something practical, and why creating NeuroRewire became such a meaningful project.

Perhaps most importantly, she explains why she wanted the app to remain free.

Not a brief trial that eventually demands payment.

Not a collection of essential features hidden behind a subscription.

A tool people could download, explore, and use without a financial barrier.

An optional tip jar allows people to support the project, but the app itself is free.

For Melissa, making these tools available to people matters.

And for Anthony, who approaches technology through the lived experience of blindness, that commitment opens an important conversation about accessibility, inclusion, and the different barriers people encounter when searching for useful resources.

ANTHONY'S OWN 30-DAY JOURNEY

Anthony has been using NeuroRewire for a little over 30 days.

And he has noticed a difference.

A real difference.

In his initial reactions.

In his response times.

In the way he processes certain thoughts, emotions, and situations before deciding what to do with them.

He's learning to recognize familiar patterns, question automatic responses, and give himself an opportunity to choose another approach.

Does that mean he has suddenly figured everything out?

Of course not!

But the experience has encouraged him to keep exploring what it means to become more of the person he wants to be.

NeuroRewire has become another useful tool in that personal toolbox.

And that is an important distinction.

Neither Melissa nor Anthony is suggesting that an app can magically solve life's problems, erase trauma, or replace individualized mental health care when it is needed.

This is about exploring practical exercises, practicing new habits, and recognizing that meaningful change can take patience, consistency, and time.

Sometimes the first step is simply noticing what is happening inside our minds before deciding how to respond.

And sometimes that small moment of awareness can open the door to something bigger.

THE CONVERSATION CONTINUES

We also discuss what Melissa hopes people will discover through NeuroRewire, the importance of making wellness resources approachable, and what she has learned about herself through the process of creating something intended to help others.

And we want to invite you into this exploration.

Download NeuroRewire.

Give it two weeks.

Explore the exercises.

Spend some time with the process.

Then come back and tell us what you discovered.

Did you notice anything about your automatic reactions?

Did certain exercises resonate with you?

Were there things that worked particularly well?

What didn't work?

And what questions would you like us to explore in future conversations?

Everyone's experience will be different, and we are interested in hearing those experiences, including the challenges and the questions.

Sunday Edition has more planned in our Mind Wellness arena, including personal conversations, practical resources, and Tech Spotlight explorations of technology that may help us better understand ourselves and the world around us.

Because this is not the end of a conversation.

It is another beginning.

Join Anthony Corona and Melissa Archer for an intimate, thought-provoking, and occasionally hilarious exploration of the human mind, the stories we tell ourselves, and the possibilities that emerge when we begin asking whether those stories can change.

And somewhere along the way, don't be surprised if Stuart Smalley makes another appearance!

After all, perhaps learning to believe in ourselves is one of the most interesting journeys we can take.

The Woo-Woo leads back to You: Jamie Roth on Sunday Edition12 oct. 202601:08:58

SUNDAY EDITION WITH ANTHONY CORONA

THE WOO-WOO LED YOU BACK TO YOU

A CONVERSATION WITH JAMIE ESTELLE ROTH

Sunday, October 11, 2026

1 PM Eastern

On Corona FM and 2020 The Beacon

Sometimes the journey we begin is not the journey we end up taking.

And sometimes, when we are desperately searching for a way back to the

life we once knew, we discover something entirely different.

We discover ourselves.

This Sunday, Anthony Corona welcomes bestselling author, podcast host,

and fellow traveler on the unexpected journey of sight loss, Jamie

Estelle Roth.

Jamie was in her fifties when she woke up one spring morning having

lost the vision in her left eye. What followed was a devastating

progression of sight loss that would change her life, her

relationships, her plans, and ultimately, her understanding of

herself.

Like so many of us who have experienced sudden, life-altering

circumstances, Jamie went searching for answers.

Traditional Western medicine. Eastern medicine. Alternative therapies.

Spiritual exploration. Metaphysical practices.

And what Jamie affectionately calls the "woo-woo."

She was searching for a cure. Searching for relief. Searching for

something that might restore what she had lost.

But somewhere along the way, something remarkable happened.

As Anthony observed during their conversation, the woo-woo did not

lead Jamie to a cure.

The woo-woo led her back to herself.

"THE WOO-WOO LED YOU BACK TO YOU."

And that realization became one of the defining moments of a

conversation filled with humor, vulnerability, honesty, and unexpected

connections.

Anthony and Jamie share different stories, but there are striking

similarities in their experiences of sudden blindness, grief,

adjustment, acceptance, and the sometimes complicated process of

rebuilding a life we never imagined having to live.

Together, they explore what happens when the answers we desperately

want are not necessarily the answers we receive.

How do we move from searching for a cure to discovering a new sense of purpose?

What does surrender really mean?

Can acceptance and hope exist in the same space?

And can we embrace spiritual exploration while still asking questions,

maintaining skepticism, and recognizing the realities of our

circumstances?

Jamie shares the journey behind her bestselling memoir, "Should've

Seen That Coming! Navigating the In-Between Moments of Acceptance,

Surrender, and Resilience."

With the book's second anniversary arriving tomorrow, Monday, October

12, we also talk about the experience of bringing her own words to

life by narrating the audiobook herself.

There is something especially powerful about hearing someone tell

their own story, in their own voice.

We also explore Jamie's podcast, "My Higher Self Has Questions," where

she brings curiosity, humor, and a healthy dose of skepticism to

conversations about mysticism, intuition, spirituality, and personal

growth.

And don't we all have questions for our higher selves?

Beyond her writing and podcasting, Jamie creates spaces for women

navigating the transitions of midlife, including menopause, empty

nesting, changing identities, and the conversations that too often go

unspoken. Through her in-person gathering circle, The Gathering, she

encourages honesty, connection, and the freedom to explore life's

complicated chapters.

For Anthony, this was more than an interview.

It was a conversation between two people whose lives took unexpected

turns, who recognized pieces of their own experiences in one another,

and who discovered that even when our stories are different, the

emotions and questions surrounding them can be remarkably familiar.

It is a conversation about blindness, certainly.

But it is also about resilience, identity, humor, healing,

spirituality, and finding our way forward when the map we once

followed no longer exists.

And perhaps, somewhere along the way, finding our way back to ourselves.

INTIMATE EVENING WITH MONICA 06 oct. 202602:13:46

AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH MONICA 🎶

One woman. One life. Twelve songs. And a whole lot of stories between the notes.

Every life has a soundtrack.

For Monica, music has marked beginnings, carried her through unexpected turns, connected her to faith and family, and given her another way to tell her story.

In this very special An Intimate Evening, Monica invites us into that story.

And what an evening it became.

So many friends and members of our community showed up to cheer Monica on, listen to her story, laugh with her, and surround her with the kind of warmth that made this conversation feel less like an interview and much more like a room full of people getting to know someone they thought they already knew.

Monica is modest. She is funny. She is wonderfully spunky. And underneath all of that is a woman who knows herself remarkably well and who was willing to be vulnerable about the experiences that helped her become that woman.

We travel back to Monica's childhood in New York City, where she grew up as the oldest of four children and the only blind person in her family. We talk about her Dominican heritage, growing up speaking Spanish and English, and beginning violin lessons at just six years old at the New York Lighthouse for the Blind.

And, yes, we make our way to Sesame Street. 💚

Monica shares memories of being that bright little girl appearing alongside Oscar the Grouch, teaching him about Braille, playing Vivaldi on her violin, spending time at Mr. Hooper's store, and appearing with Aristotle, the blind Muppet.

Nearly fifty years later, those memories look a little different.

The little girl simply lived them.

The woman now gets to understand what they meant.

But this evening became about much more than childhood memories.

Monica speaks beautifully and openly about faith, including the journey that led her to really find her own footing spiritually while she was in college.

We talk about education, family, independence, career, love, and the people who arrive in our lives and quietly change their direction.

That includes the college roommate who introduced Monica to a man named Tom. ❤️

And Tom joined us.

Monica's husband of 24 years came aboard to share some very funny memories, but also some deeply loving and touching reflections on the woman who is very clearly still his lady love.

Our Behind the Music cohost Tim was there as well, doing what Tim does so well, listening, reflecting, and adding his own perspective as Monica's story unfolded.

We had planned to spend much more time getting inside Monica's recording process and talking about how she selects songs, interprets them, and creates the performances we have come to enjoy through Behind the Music.

We barely got there.

There was simply too much life to talk about.

Instead, the music Monica personally selected became our roadmap through conversations about childhood, blindness, family, Sesame Street, college, faith, marriage, friendship, and discovering who you are along the way.

Barbra Streisand. Whitney Houston. Mariah Carey. INXS. CeCe Winans. Music from The Greatest Showman. And more.

Twelve songs serving as guideposts through one extraordinary life. 🎵

There is laughter here.

There is vulnerability.

There are memories that haven't been visited in a very long time.

There are moments of faith, love, reflection, and the comfortable chaos that happens when a planned interview gives way to a genuine conversation.

And somewhere along the way, An Intimate Evening with Monica became exactly what this series was created to be.

Not a biography.

Not an interview.

A journey.

And then, because Monica is the generous, loving person she is, she decided to share the spotlight. 🎤

Monica and I recently experimented with one of those love songs almost everyone remembers.

Only we flipped the script.

Literally.

And we close out this very special evening with Monica's generosity, a little surprise, and our duet of Always by Atlantic Starr. ❤️🎶

Come meet Monica between the notes.

Manipulation: The Good, Bad and the Ugly28 sept. 202601:52:40

MANIPULATION: THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Presented by The Sunday Edition Family of Podcasts

When does persuasion become manipulation? When does influence cross

the line into control? And is manipulation always a bad thing?

Izzy leads a candid Sunday Edition conversation about the ways

manipulation shows up in relationships, families, advocacy,

organizations, and everyday life.

Anthony joins as co-host, with panelists Lavette, a.k.a. Weevie

Wonder, Ahmed, and Jeremy bringing their own experiences and

perspectives to a conversation that moves beyond simple definitions

and into the complicated gray areas of human behavior.

We also welcome Lavette, a.k.a. Weevie Wonder, as a new contributor to

the Sunday Edition family and a creative content provider in her own

A Sunday Edition conversation about persuasion, influence, boundaries,

intention, control, advocacy, relationships, and that sometimes very

thin line between getting someone to see your point of view and

manipulating them into it.

The Toast: A Journey of Love, Life and the spaces between us23 sept. 202600:57:49

THE TOAST

Some stories are meant to be heard.

Others linger.

And some, apparently, refuse to leave you alone until you finally let them out into the world.

The Toast is lush, romantic, funny, tender, and occasionally heartbreaking, a story about love, life, the choices we make, and the moments we don’t realize will matter until long after they’ve passed.

Three men and a little lady. A pack of absolutely adorable dogs. And one rather complicated question: Who belongs with whom, who belongs to whom, and who deserves a happily ever after?

Surround them with friendship, romance, laughter, heartbreak, complicated histories, unexpected turns, and those wonderfully ordinary moments that somehow become the ones we remember most.

There are life lessons tucked between the laughter. Heartbreak hiding around a few corners. Dogs who understand considerably more than anyone gives them credit for. And at the center of it all, people trying to navigate love, loss, hope, friendship, family, and everything that happens in between.

This story came back to me.

Not all at once. Not with some grand announcement. It simply began nagging at me again, quietly at first and then persistently, as though these characters had decided they’d waited long enough.

The Toast is not based on anyone’s lived experience. These characters are mine. The story is mine.

But some of the feelings are borrowed.

The original spark came from a real-life, full-circle story of love that touched me deeply. Something about it stayed with me, and eventually those feelings found their way into fictional characters, different lives, and a story entirely their own.

I wrote The Toast years ago and then put it away.

At the time, I don’t think I had found the voice to give the story the meaning I felt it deserved. Sometimes the writing is finished before the writer is.

Maybe some stories have their own timing.

Maybe we don’t always understand why something from our past suddenly reaches forward and asks to be looked at again.

Whatever the reason, this one wanted another life.

So I listened.

And now, after all these years, The Toast is finally being birthed into life.

We don’t want to tell you too much.

This is one of those stories best entered without a map.

Pour something you love. Find a comfortable place. Put on your headphones and give yourself permission to disappear for a while.

Meet three men, a little lady, and a pack of dogs.

Stay for everything that happens when lives become tangled together.

Because The Toast isn’t simply about what happens.

It’s about what remains after it does.

It’s about the people who change us. The moments that stay with us. The things we understand only after enough life has happened to teach us how to understand them.

And when the final words have been spoken, don’t be surprised if you sit there for another moment before reaching for the stop button.

The Toast.

A story that may leave you thinking.

But more importantly, feeling.

And maybe, somewhere in there, remembering a story of your own. Actions available

The Truth That Matters... A Guest Audio Dramatic contribution22 sept. 202600:36:58

THE TRUTH THAT MATTERS

An Original Audio Drama

By: SUEELLEN MELO

A writer.

A photographer.

And a night of violence.

When you fear the end is near, you get real about yourself and your world.

As a writer and photographer go in search of one truth, they find others about the world, themselves, and each other.

The Truth That Matters is the latest original audio drama from writer SUEELLEN MELO, taking a search for truth and placing it against a night when suddenly much more than the story itself is at stake.

What begins with two people looking for answers becomes something far more personal.

What do we discover about ourselves when circumstances strip away the things we use to protect ourselves?

What truths become impossible to avoid when we begin to believe there may not be a tomorrow in which to deal with them?

And what happens when the truth we thought we were searching for is not necessarily the truth we find?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

SUEELLEN MELO is a writer, performer, podcaster and frequent contributor across the Sunday Edition Family of Podcasts and Digital Media Content Services.

Her creative life has included writing for a student newspaper, published poetry, song lyrics, theater and performance. She also co-authored transitional songs for a production of California Suite.

During the COVID era, SUEELLEN became involved with Community Karaoke, which eventually led her to Behind the Music and then to Next Generation Entertainment Soaps, where she fulfilled a longtime dream of becoming a podcaster.

Today, she is one of the co-hosts of Next Generation Entertainment Soaps and a familiar voice throughout the Sunday Edition family.

But SUEELLEN is also a writer in her own right.

Her contributions have explored disability, advocacy, accessibility, entertainment, human relationships and the complicated spaces where all of those things sometimes collide.

The Truth That Matters gives us another opportunity to experience that storytelling in a completely different form.

EDITOR'S NOTE

We love SUEELLEN's contributions to the Sunday Edition family.

Yes, she is one of our co-hosts on Next Generation Entertainment Soaps.

Yes, she is a frequent contributor throughout our programming.

But she is also a terrific writer in her own right, and The Truth That Matters is another reminder of exactly that.

The story is fascinating and nicely paced, with a whole lot of atmosphere.

It takes its time when it should, moves when it needs to and allows the tension to build around the characters rather than simply announcing itself.

And then there is the production.

Working in collaboration with Danielle and The Amirra McCoy Project Audio Drama Podcast, the production work gives SUEELLEN's story room to become something more than words being read into a microphone.

It becomes a lush audio drama.

Those familiar with the Sunday Edition presentation of Under Candlelight already know what Danielle and The Amirra McCoy Project can do with audio storytelling.

Atmosphere matters.

Sound matters.

Silence matters.

Pacing matters.

And when all of those elements are allowed to work with the writing instead of fighting for attention, audio storytelling can build an entire world without showing us a single picture.

That is what makes this one such compelling listening.

So turn down the distractions.

Put on the headphones if you have them.

And spend some time with a writer, a photographer and a night when searching for one truth may uncover quite a few others.

The Truth That Matters.

Written by SUEELLEN MELO.

Produced in collaboration with Danielle and The Amirra McCoy Project Audio Drama Podcast.

Behind the Music AI Edition20 sept. 202602:27:53

THE SUNDAY EDITION FAMILY OF PODCASTS PRESENTS

BEHIND THE MUSIC: THE AI EDITION

Hosted by Danielle, Amethyst and Mark

We are so thrilled to present the premiere of a brand new addition to the Sunday Edition family, Behind the Music: The AI Edition.

And this one is something very different.

Anthony Corona was more than happy to pass the mic to Danielle, Amethyst and Mark for a fascinating, creative and wonderfully entertaining exploration of what happens when human imagination meets artificial intelligence.

The AI Edition brings together AI generated music, audio drama clips, soundscapes, storytelling, conversation and a look behind the curtain at the creative process itself.

Danielle, Amethyst and Mark share some of their own processes, exploring how an idea moves from the mind to the mouth, from fingertips to technology, and ultimately into music, drama and sound.

Several contributors joined us as well, sharing their creations and, just as importantly, the journeys behind them.

How did the idea begin?

What tools were used?

What changed along the way?

And what happens when technology becomes another instrument in the creative toolbox?

The results are fascinating.

The music is fabulous.

The stories are compelling and entertaining.

And the conversations about process are educational, accessible and inspiring.

Behind the Music: The AI Edition is designed to be a creative and supportive environment where people can experiment, share, learn from one another and have some fun along the way.

And the Sunday Edition family of podcasts and digital media content services could not be more proud or excited to provide a home for it.

The AI Edition will return once a month as a gathering for creators, storytellers, experimenters and anyone curious about what can happen when an idea meets a new set of creative tools.

And there is room for you at the microphone.

Want to participate in a future AI Edition?

Or perhaps our regular Behind the Music is more your speed, featuring karaoke performances, original music, instrumental pieces, spoken word and other creative contributions.

We would love to hear what you create.

Rosanna Arquette Joins Anthony and Pam on Take 2 Radio 17 sept. 202600:46:24

Take 2 Radio, in partnership with Sunday Edition, welcomes acclaimed actress, director, producer, and activist Rosanna Arquette for a candid conversation spanning more than four decades of film, family, creativity, friendship, and advocacy.

Rosanna reflects on growing up in an extraordinary artistic family. Both of her parents were in the business, and creativity was woven throughout the Arquette household.

She shares some of her earliest artistic influences, including seeing The Red Shoes as a young child and dreaming of becoming a ballerina.

Rosanna also takes us back to early in her career and shares memories of working with the legendary Bette Davis. She reflects on the lessons she learned from another powerful woman who was willing to stand up against the Hollywood studio system, even when doing so could have cost her everything. That courage, combined with Davis's undeniable talent and drive, left an impression Rosanna still carries with her.

She also shares personal memories of working with and becoming friends with David Bowie. Rosanna takes us beyond the icon and introduces us to a side of Bowie the public did not always get to see. She remembers his kindness, generosity, and the ways he quietly served as a mentor, sponsor, and friend to artists who needed encouragement, opportunity, or support. She reflects on their friendship and the lasting influence he continues to have on her life.

Of course, no conversation with Rosanna would be complete without Desperately Seeking Susan. She shares memories of working with Madonna and director Susan Seidelman, and talks about the bond she and Susan formed through the film that continues today. Rosanna also remembers celebrating the 40th anniversary of Desperately Seeking Susan with Susan in Italy last year and reflects on the remarkable life the film has had across generations.

The conversation turns to the Arquette family. Rosanna explains that she and her siblings generally do not spend much time talking about their work when they are together, but her pride in them is unmistakable. She reflects on Patricia Arquette, David Arquette, and Richmond Arquette, as well as the late Alexis Arquette.

Rosanna remembers Alexis with particular love and pride, honoring her work and advocacy for transgender people and the broader LGBTQIA plus community.

Rosanna is equally candid about her own career behind the camera. She discusses directing and producing Searching for Debra Winger, her acclaimed documentary exploring the complicated choices, pressures, expectations, and realities faced by women working in Hollywood.

Those themes lead naturally into a larger conversation about activism. Rosanna has long used her voice to advocate for women, equality, safety, and accountability in the entertainment industry. She speaks frankly about harassment, inequality, the pressures women continue to face, and what she sees as a growing refusal by women to quietly accept oppression.

The conversation also touches on balancing career and family, her admiration for Dolly Parton, recent and upcoming projects, and her experiences meeting fans at conventions and discovering just how deeply some of her work continues to resonate.

It is a conversation about much more than a celebrated career.

It is about family.

It is about friendship.

It is about the artists who influence us and the people behind the icons.

It is about the movies and people that stay with us.

And it is about finding your voice, using it, and refusing to surrender it.

Join Take 2 Radio and Sunday Edition for a wide ranging and deeply personal conversation with Rosanna Arquette.

The Practice of Happy Practical Applications13 sept. 202602:05:39

Sunday Edition Presents: THE PRACTICE OF HAPPY

CONVERSATION FOUR

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS

Over the past four weeks, The Practice of Happy has explored happiness from several different directions.

What is happiness?

How do we recognize it?

How can happiness exist alongside grief, anger, frustration, fear, disappointment, joy, hope, excitement and everything else that makes up a full emotional life?

How do relationships, expectations, outside influences, internal reactions and the voices in our own heads shape the way we experience a moment?

And perhaps most importantly, what do we actually do with all of that?

In this final conversation, we move from discussion into practice. ❤️🧠🪞🗺️

Anthony Corona is joined by panelists Judy, Mark, Lorna and Gabriel for a practical exploration of the exercises, checklists and internal conversations developed throughout this series.

Special thanks to Holly for taking care of the recording and helping keep everything moving behind the scenes. 🎙️❤️

This conversation is built around one important understanding.

No two people are the same.

These exercises are not rules.

They are not written in stone.

They are not instructions for the right way to feel, think, react or respond.

They are a roadmap.

A set of guidelines.

A collection of tools you can adapt, change, combine, simplify or completely reshape to form your own internal checklist and your own conversations.

The goal is not uniformity.

The goal is awareness.

To create a little more room between reaction and choice.

To better understand what we are feeling.

To recognize what may be influencing us.

To decide what we actually want.

And then to consider what response might move us closer to that outcome.

During this conversation, we explore several practical concepts and exercises.

🪞 THE MIRROR AND THE MAP

We begin by asking one of the largest questions possible.

Who am I?

Using 4, 2, 6 breathing as a reset, we look at the emotional and practical skills that are already working, the areas we may want to strengthen, the things that may be blocking us and the qualities we know to be good and true about ourselves.

Then we create our own internal mirror statement.

A personal mantra.

Something honest.

Something useful.

Something that belongs entirely to us.

🧠 THE INTERNAL CONVERSATION

Sometimes there is more than one voice responding to what is happening.

Anger.

Fear.

Sadness.

Frustration.

Instinct.

Experience.

Hope.

Need.

Expectation.

The goal is not to silence any of them.

Instead, we listen.

We identify the strongest voice.

We ask whether the loudest voice is actually capable of leading.

Then we create an impartial internal leader who can hear the full conversation and help decide what deserves attention, what can wait and what action, if any, should come next.

😊 THE EMOTIONAL TABLE

Inspired by the concept behind Inside Out, we imagine our emotions taking seats around an internal table.

Who grabbed the biggest chair?

Who is dominating the room?

Who keeps interrupting?

Who has been ignored?

Who have we refused to invite?

Each emotion gets a voice.

Each emotion may get a vote.

But no single emotion automatically gets control.

The most important person eventually takes the head of the table.

You.

🦮 INSIDE OUT AND THE GUIDE DOG DENIAL

We bring the emotional table into a real world disability scenario.

A Guide Dog handler waits for an Uber.

The driver arrives.

The driver says no dogs.

The handler explains that this is a trained Guide Dog.

The driver repeats no dogs and pulls away.

Now what?

Anger may show up.

Frustration may arrive.

Fear.

Disappointment.

Embarrassment.

Determination.

Problem solving.

Maybe several at once.

The exercise asks whether Anger can sit beside Reason.

Whether Fear can sit beside Confidence.

Whether Frustration can sit beside Problem Solving.

Whether disappointment can exist alongside the memory of the wonderful evening that came before the denial.

Again, the goal is not to remove emotion.

It is to put emotion into proportion.

📋 THE THREE CHECKLISTS

We also bring together three practical inventories designed to help slow down the progression between feeling, reaction and action.

The Emotional Inventory asks.

What am I feeling?

Why am I feeling it?

What is contributing to it?

What may be inflaming it?

Which feeling is strongest?

Which feeling may actually deserve the most attention?

The Internal Behavior Inventory asks.

What is my immediate reaction?

What happens if I wait five minutes?

Ten minutes?

Overnight?

Am I reacting to what actually happened or to what I think happened?

Does my proposed response support the outcome I actually want?

And what response will I still feel comfortable owning tomorrow?

The Influence and Manipulation Inventory asks us to look at the forces around us and within us.

What outside factors are shaping how I feel?

What story am I telling myself?

What assumptions am I making?

What do I want?

What might someone else want?

Are those motivations compatible?

Can I influence the situation in a more constructive direction?

And ultimately.

What influence do I want to have on what happens next?

💬 THE ACCESSIBILITY POST

The conversation begins and ends with the same scenario.

You post about an accessibility problem.

Most responses are helpful.

Two are sarcastic, passive aggressive or dismissive.

Suddenly those two comments are taking up more emotional space than everything else.

We capture the initial reaction.

Then we work through the exercises and concepts.

At the end, we return to the same situation and ask.

What do I feel now?

What is influencing me?

What do I want?

What would I do?

Did anything change?

Maybe it did.

Maybe it did not.

Neither answer is the goal.

The goal is noticing whether understanding ourselves more clearly changes what happens between reaction and choice.

THE PRACTICE OF HAPPY

The Practice of Happy is not about pretending everything is wonderful.

It is not about suppressing anger, sadness, frustration, disappointment, fear or grief.

It is about becoming more aware of what happens between emotion and action.

Feeling.

Understanding.

Pausing.

Sorting.

Choosing.

Responding.

Sometimes we may write these answers down.

Sometimes we may talk them through with someone we trust.

Sometimes the entire process may happen inside our own heads while walking the dog, sitting in traffic, lying in bed or staring at a text message we probably should not answer quite yet.

The more often we practice the process, the more familiar it becomes.

And perhaps that is where the word practice matters most.

Happy is not necessarily a permanent destination.

Sometimes happy is something we make room for by understanding everything else already in the room.

A SEPARATE PRACTICAL APPENDIX IS COMING

There will also be a separate podcast posting featuring the appendix recording of the exercises, checklists and concepts from this conversation.

That companion recording is designed as a practical facilitation tool.

You can use it to outline your own conversation.

Adapt individual exercises.

Build your own roadmap.

Use selected questions as personal reflection prompts.

Or use the material exactly as presented to facilitate a conversation with a group, organization, classroom, team, support network, family or circle of friends.

The tools belong to you now.

Shape them into something that works for your life.

THANK YOU

Special thanks to Holly for handling the recording. ❤️🎙️

And thank you to our Conversation Four panelists.

Judy.

Mark.

Lorna.

Gabriel.

Most of all, thank you to every person who contributed their thoughts, stories, questions, experiences and perspectives throughout all four weeks of The Practice of Happy.

We are incredibly proud of where these conversations have taken us.

And after four weeks of exploring the ideas, emotions and influences behind happiness, we are finally bringing it all into practical application.

Not a rulebook.

Not a formula.

A roadmap.

A starting point.

And an invitation to form your own Practice of Happy. ❤️🧠🪞🗺️

The Practice of Happy Appendix, Conversation Guide13 sept. 202600:38:27

THE PRACTICE OF HAPPY

APPENDIX

PRACTICAL TOOLS FOR CONVERSATION, REFLECTION AND FACILITATION

This appendix is exactly what it sounds like.

A tool.

A resource.

A conversation guide.

A collection of concepts, exercises, questions and practical prompts created through The Practice of Happy series and presented by the Sunday Edition Family of Podcasts and Digital Media Content Services.

This recording brings together the exercises and guided questions explored throughout our final conversation and places them in one practical companion resource.

Use the appendix in its entirety to create your own event or facilitated conversation, select individual exercises for personal or group reflection, or adapt the material to meet the needs of your community.

The goal is exploration.

The appendix includes practical tools for examining emotional management, internal reactions, outside influences, personal decision making and the space between reaction and response.

It asks us to think about several important ideas.

Defining the space.

Cleaning the space.

Owning the space.

Owning our own reactions.

Understanding what we are feeling.

Recognizing what may be influencing those feelings.

Examining what happens internally before we respond.

Identifying the outcome we actually want.

And choosing what we want to do next.

The exercises include guided emotional inventories, internal behavior questions, influence and manipulation checklists, the emotional table, internal conversation exercises, mirror and map reflections and practical scenarios designed to bring the concepts into real life.

These are not rules.

They are not prescriptions.

They are not written in stone.

No two people process emotion, conflict, happiness, grief, frustration, joy or outside influence in exactly the same way.

Together, these concepts can help you develop your own roadmap.

Your own checklist.

Your own internal conversation.

Your own Practice of Happy.

As a facilitation tool, the recording provides the questions, exercises and conversation guidance needed to lead participants through the process.

Pause when conversation needs room.

Explore the responses.

Spend more time where the discussion takes you.

The goal is not to arrive at the same answer.

The goal is to create enough space to understand ourselves and one another a little more clearly.

If you would like Anthony or one of the panelists from The Practice of Happy to facilitate this discussion for your group, organization, meeting or event, reach out to Sunday Edition.

The Practice of Happy is not about pretending everything is positive.

It is not about ignoring anger, sadness, fear, grief, frustration, disappointment or conflict.

It is about recognizing what is in the room.

Understanding what deserves attention.

Deciding what influence we want those feelings to have.

And remembering that our first reaction does not always have to become our final response.

Feel it.

Name it.

Understand it.

Sort it.

Own it.

Choose what comes next.

This appendix is presented by the Sunday Edition Family of Podcasts and Digital Media Content Services as a practical tool for further exploration of emotional management, defining the space, cleaning the space, owning the space and owning our own reactions.

Im Am Blind Not Deaf...11 sept. 202600:02:41

🎶 I’M BLIND. I’M NOT DEAF. 🎶

A Public Service Announcement from the Sunday Edition Family of Podcasts and Digital Media Content Services.

Sometimes a song entertains us. Sometimes it makes us think. And sometimes it manages to do both while delivering a message that needs to be heard. 🎤🎶❤️

The Sunday Edition Family of Podcasts and Digital Media Content Services is pleased to welcome Weevie Wonder as a guest contributor and to share her original lyrics and AI generated creation, I’m Blind I’m Not Deaf.

Thank you, Weevie, for sharing your creativity, your perspective, and your voice with our Sunday Edition family. ❤️👏

I’m Blind I’m Not Deaf takes on some of the assumptions, awkward interactions, and frustrating moments that blind and low vision people experience every day.

A white cane does not mean someone needs you to raise your voice. 🦯

A blind person sitting at a restaurant table can order their own meal. 🍽️

A blind patient walking into an office can answer questions about their own appointment. 🩺

And blindness does not erase a person’s voice, intelligence, independence, personality, or ability to speak for themselves.

The message is simple.

I’m blind.

I’m not deaf.

Talk to me. ❤️

Weevie wrote these lyrics because she wanted herself and her fellow members of the blind and low vision community to be heard, while giving the sighted community an opportunity to listen, learn, and perhaps reconsider some everyday assumptions.

Then she used artificial intelligence to help turn those words into music. 🤖🎶

And that makes I’m Blind I’m Not Deaf a perfect preview of something brand new coming to Sunday Edition.

🎧 BEHIND THE MUSIC. THE AI EDITION. 🎧

Friday, September 18 at 7 PM Eastern.

Hosted by Amethyst, Danielle, and Mark.

Behind the Music. The AI Edition will explore what happens when human ideas, imagination, storytelling, advocacy, humor, lyrics, and creativity meet the rapidly expanding world of artificial intelligence. 🤖🎤🎹🎶

We will hear AI generated creations, meet some of the people behind them, talk about how they were made, and explore the possibilities and questions surrounding this rapidly changing creative playground.

More details are coming soon. 👀🎧

In the meantime, enjoy I’m Blind I’m Not Deaf as both a public service announcement and a little taste of what is coming September 18.

And please share it. ❤️ Share it with your friends, your family, your coworkers, your colleagues, and anyone who might benefit from hearing the message. Sometimes changing a perspective begins with simply pressing play. 🎶🦯❤️

Your voice might just inspire our next conversation. 🎤💡❤️

I am officially immersed on the dance floor. Are you?

This one is pure labor of love, tribute and celebration.

I recorded my own little salute to Confessions on the Dance Floor… Part Two, featuring my covers of Bizarre, Love Sensation and I Feel So Free, plus a throwback to a Madonna classic that still demands its place under the disco ball… Vogue.

Along the way, I talk about influence, inspiration and why this era has me thinking about Madonna’s music in some very interesting ways.

And if you want to go even deeper, check out my Madonna articles on Substack, including my ranking of all 16 songs on the new album. You can find the link at www.anthonycorona.com.

Intimate Evening with Sue Ellen Melo 08 sept. 202602:23:06

AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH SUE ELLEN

Monday night at 8 PM Eastern

Every life has a story.

Some stories travel through cities, careers, friendships, heartbreak, advocacy, creativity, music, theater, and more than a little karaoke.

Monday night, we spend An Intimate Evening with Sue Ellen.

Born in Massachusetts and blind since birth, Sue has built a life that has taken her from New England to New Mexico, Ohio, Florida, and ultimately Kentucky.

Along the way she has been a writer, advocate, performer, community leader, actor, singer, museum educator, theater professional, and podcaster.

But those are only the labels.

Monday night, we want to meet the woman behind them.

We will talk about growing up blind, finding her voice, navigating education and employment, discovering advocacy, chasing creative dreams, relationships and loss, the places she has called home, and the role music has played throughout her life.

We will also explore the unexpected roads that eventually brought Sue back to performing, into the world of community karaoke and Behind the Music, and finally to Next Generation Entertainment Soaps, where a longtime dream of becoming a podcaster became reality.

There will be laughter.

There will be music.

There will be memories.

And there may be a few stories even those of us who know Sue have never heard before.

This is not an interview.

It is a conversation.

It is a journey.

It is An Intimate Evening with Sue Ellen.

Presented by the Sunday Edition family of podcasts and digital media content services.

Sunday Edition Presents: Loosing Sight Midlife Getting to Know Jennifer Frederick 06 sept. 202600:59:24

SUNDAY EDITION WITH ANTHONY CORONA

THIS SUNDAY AT 1 PM EASTERN

LOSING SIGHT MIDLIFE

NAVIGATING THE SERVICES, THE GRIEF AND THE ROAD FORWARD

What happens when the life you knew changes in the middle of living it?

This Sunday on Sunday Edition, I sit down with Jennifer Frederick for an open, candid and deeply personal conversation about losing sight in midlife, navigating the maze of services available to newly blind adults, working through grief and frustration, finding the right balance between accepting help and reclaiming independence, and ultimately beginning to come out the other side.

Jennifer Frederick is a midlife professional turned disability rights advocate from New York’s Capital Region.

After a career in insurance and corporate emergency communications, Jennifer lost most of her vision in her early forties as a result of diabetic retinopathy.

She had to rebuild.

Today, Jennifer uses that lived experience as a blind peer supporter, helping other adults navigate benefits, services and the emotional realities that can accompany losing sight.

During our conversation, Jennifer is remarkably open about the struggles.

The uncertainty.

The frustration.

The grief.

The practical challenges of figuring out which services exist and how to access them.

And the sometimes complicated process of learning how to live differently without allowing blindness to become the entirety of who you are.

But we also talk about strength.

Where do you find it when the life you expected suddenly looks very different?

How do you keep moving when you are still grieving what you lost?

And eventually, how do you take everything you learned while finding your own way and use it to make someone else’s road a little easier?

That last question is especially important to Jennifer.

She wants to pay it forward.

And that may be where this conversation leads next.

Jennifer and I are currently discussing the possibility of developing a new podcast under the Sunday Edition Family of Podcasts and Digital Media Content Services devoted specifically to the newly blind experience.

The concept would bring professionals and people with lived experience together to take the journey topic by topic and episode by episode.

Navigating Social Security.

Finding rehabilitation services.

Discovering assistive technology.

Learning orientation and mobility.

Understanding benefits and resources.

Finding peer support.

Dealing with the emotional realities of vision loss.

And tackling all of those questions many of us remember having when we were first dropped into this strange new world and did not yet know what questions we were supposed to ask.

It is still a conversation and a concept in development.

But sometimes the best ideas begin with two people talking about what they wish had existed when they needed it most.

And this Sunday, you will hear where that conversation began.

IN OUR SECOND HOUR

We will also highlight an episode of Take 2 Radio The Remix featuring a conversation with actress, executive producer and activist Deborah Twiss.

The Practice of Happy: External Influences04 sept. 202602:37:16

SUNDAY EDITION PRESENTS

THE PRACTICE OF HAPPY

CONVERSATION THREE

THE EXTERNAL INFLUENCES

In Conversation Three of The Practice of Happy, Anthony Corona is joined by Lorna, Mark, Gabriel, Renae and Judy as the group turns its attention outward.

In our first conversation, we explored choosing happy and allowing happy to happen.

In Conversation Two, we explored the reality that joy, sadness, anger, grief, gratitude and happiness can all exist in the same heart at the same time.

This time, we asked a different question.

What happens to our practice of happy when the outside world gets involved?

Because none of us practices happy in a vacuum.

Throughout this candid and wide ranging conversation, the panel explores the people, circumstances and unexpected moments that can influence our emotional lives.

What happens when disability or an accommodation issue completely changes the day we planned to have?

How much do the moods of our partners, family members and friends influence our own?

What about the people who occupy that strange middle ground between friend and stranger?

The coworker we see every morning.

The neighbor we talk to across the fence.

The barista who knows our order.

And what about the people we do not choose?

Bosses.

Coworkers.

Caseworkers.

Customer service representatives.

Strangers.

People on social media.

A thirty second interaction with one person can unexpectedly brighten an entire day.

Another thirty second interaction can leave us irritated for hours.

Why?

How much power do external influences actually have over our happiness?

How much power do we give them?

How much should we give them?

And when something or someone disrupts our happiness, how do we find our way back without pretending the frustration, anger, disappointment or hurt never happened?

As always, The Practice of Happy is not a lecture, a class or a group of people claiming to have figured everything out.

It is a conversation.

It is people sharing experiences, challenging themselves and one another, laughing, questioning assumptions and continuing to explore what practicing happy actually looks like in real life.

And Conversation Three sets the stage for where we go next.

In our next conversation, we move from discussion into practice.

Each member of the panel will lead the group through an exercise connected to one of the core concepts we have developed throughout Conversations One, Two and Three.

We have talked about happy.

We have questioned happy.

We have examined what happens inside us and what influences us from the outside.

Next, we begin putting some of it into action.

The Practice of Happy continues.

Not because we are trying to figure out how to be happy all the time.

We are figuring out how to make a little more room for happy when it shows up.

The Day The World Went Blind 01 sept. 202600:15:52

A Sunday Edition Audio Drama Reflection THE DAY THE WORLD WENT BLIND

By Anthony Corona

It was an ordinary March day.

Until it wasn’t.

Nothing warned us.

Nothing announced what was coming.

And it only took 7.5 seconds.

A solar flare changed the rules, and suddenly humanity had to learn something millions of people already knew.

How do you navigate a world when the way you have always navigated it changes in an instant?

And who becomes the expert when almost everyone else is asking the questions?

The Day the World Went Blind is a fictional reflection about blindness, disability, accessibility, adaptation, and the people who suddenly find themselves becoming the teachers.

But beneath the story is a question for all of us.

What happens when the world you understand becomes a world you no longer recognize?

And what might we learn from the people who already know how to adapt?

Come with me into this world for a little while.

Listen to The Day the World Went Blind.

And when those 7.5 seconds are over, you may find yourself thinking a little differently about the world we are living in right now.

Amos Miller shares the Glide Journey: Where we are now and where we are Going 31 août 202602:11:40

GLIDE, WHERE WE ARE AND WHERE WE ARE GOING

A Sunday Edition Conversation with Amos Miller

What is Glide today?

What is it not?

When will people actually begin receiving it?

And how far could this technology eventually go?

On this edition of Sunday Edition, Anthony Corona sits down with Amos Miller, Founder and CEO of Glidance, for a candid, wide ranging, and refreshingly honest conversation about Glide, the emerging mobility device designed for Blind and low vision travelers.

But before we talk about the technology, we spend a little time getting to know the person behind it.

Amos shares some of his own journey with blindness, his experiences in the world of technology, where the inspiration for Glide came from, and the path that has taken an idea through years of development toward becoming a product that Blind and low vision people may soon be using in their everyday lives.

That is only the beginning of the conversation.

From there, we get into where Glide actually stands today.

Amos talks openly about what the company has learned during its development and the road ahead for Founders, early adopters, and the larger Blind and low vision community.

We discuss tentative delivery timelines, next steps, supply chains, production, pricing, and some of the very practical realities involved in moving an ambitious accessibility technology from an idea and prototype into the hands of actual users.

We also address some of the bumps along the road.

Amos acknowledges that mistakes have been made in communication and in some presentations of Glide. We talk about those moments, the concerns they created, how they were addressed, and the importance of continuing to listen when the community raises questions.

Throughout our conversation, Amos is transparent about something equally important.

What Glide is.

And what Glide is not.

There is a clear vision for what users should expect from the device being delivered, but there are also things people should absolutely not expect it to do right now.

We talk about those distinctions, what capabilities are expected sooner, what may come later, and why managing expectations matters when excitement surrounding new technology begins racing ahead of the technology itself.

Then, toward the end of our conversation, we allow ourselves to look farther down the road.

What happens as artificial intelligence becomes more deeply integrated into mobility technology?

Could Glide eventually incorporate more robust finding capabilities?

What might deeper integration with maps make possible?

What about a follow feature?

And what other possibilities begin opening when AI, navigation, environmental information, and mobility technology start working together?

Some of those ideas belong to the future.

Others may be closer than we think.

But throughout the conversation, we keep returning to the distinction between possibility and promise.

This is a conversation about Glide as it exists now, Glide as it moves toward the hands of consumers, and the larger vision of what it might eventually become.

It is also a conversation about accessibility innovation itself.

About listening to the community.

About acknowledging mistakes.

About correcting them.

About transparency.

About being willing to say yes when the answer is yes, no when the answer is no, and not yet when the answer is not yet.

And ultimately, about what can happen when Blind and low vision people are not simply waiting at the end of the innovation process to receive whatever someone has built for us, but are active participants in shaping where that innovation goes next.

Join Anthony Corona and Amos Miller for an honest exploration of Glide, mobility, artificial intelligence, expectations, possibilities, and the evolving future of independent travel.

You Are The Medicine 29 août 202600:11:26

💫 YOU ARE THE MEDICINE 💫

A Sunday Edition Audio ReflectionBy Anthony Corona

What if healing is not only about what we take, who we see, or the treatment we receive?

What if part of the medicine has been within us all along?

In this deeply personal Sunday Edition audio reflection, Anthony Corona explores the extraordinary relationship among mind, body, spirit, and self, and the power we may discover when we learn to listen more closely to all three.

This is not an argument against doctors, therapy, medication, treatment, or science. It is not a promise that positive thinking can cure disease, erase pain, or protect us from the realities of being human.

It is an invitation to consider something different.

What if healing and curing are not always the same thing?

What if our bodies are telling us more than we realize?

What if our minds can participate not only in suffering, but in healing?

What if faith, spirituality, movement, music, laughter, rest, connection, and even wonder can change our relationship with what we cannot change?

And what happens when we stop thinking of ourselves simply as bodies that life happens to and begin recognizing ourselves as active participants in the lives we are living?

You cannot control the wind.

But you can learn to raise the sails.

You are not always the cure.

But perhaps you are always part of the medicine.

🎙️ YOU ARE THE MEDICINE

A reflection on healing, self knowledge, science, spirituality, acceptance, and the power that may still belong to us when life reminds us just how much we cannot control.

Sunday Edition Presents: Practice of Happy, Joy and the Human Heart28 août 202601:46:38

🌟 THE PRACTICE OF HAPPY 🌟

Conversation Two

Joy, Happiness, and the Human Heart

A Sunday Edition Special Conversation Series

What if happiness and sadness do not have to take turns?

What if grief can have its chair, frustration can have its chair, anger can have its chair, and joy can still walk into the room and find a place to sit?

In Conversation Two of The Practice of Happy, we continued the journey we began with Choosing Happy and Letting Happy Happen and moved deeper into the complicated, beautiful, sometimes contradictory territory of the human heart.

Anthony was joined by Gabriel, Lorna, Mark, Judy, and new friend Renee for a thoughtful, personal, and wonderfully honest conversation about happiness, joy, gratitude, grief, frustration, emotional honesty, and our ability to hold more than one feeling at the same time.

Each person brought a different perspective to the questions being asked, weaving personal experiences, stories, reflections, and feelings from their own lives into the larger conversation.

We began by asking what happiness and joy actually mean.

Are they the same thing?

Are they different?

Can we choose them?

Can we nurture them?

Or is part of the practice simply learning to recognize them when they arrive?

From there, the conversation moved into what we called the AND of the human heart.

Can we be happy AND sad?

Grateful AND frustrated?

Grieving AND joyful?

Can laughter exist in the middle of loss?

Can something beautiful happen during an incredibly difficult day without diminishing the difficulty of that day?

And why do we sometimes feel guilty when happiness manages to find us during a season when we believe we are supposed to be feeling something else?

That brought us to emotional honesty and an important possibility.

Maybe choosing happy does not require denying anything else.

Maybe sadness does not have to leave before joy is allowed inside.

Maybe acknowledging anger, grief, fear, disappointment, and frustration is not a failure of the practice.

Maybe that honesty is part of the practice.

We also explored what it means to recognize and nurture happiness without grabbing onto it, manufacturing positivity, or demanding that happiness somehow fix everything else.

Can we become better at noticing the smaller moments?

Can we recognize happiness while it is happening instead of realizing hours, days, or even years later that it had been there all along?

There were far too many nuggets of wisdom in this conversation to pull out only a handful without potentially slighting some of the extraordinary thoughts that were shared.

So we will not try.

This is a conversation worth experiencing.

What we can say is that Conversation Two became a natural extension of our first gathering and, perhaps without any of us deliberately planning it, the perfect bridge into where we are headed next.

Because Conversation One gave us two ideas.

Choosing happy.

Letting happy happen.

Conversation Two may have given us a third.

Noticing happy.

I am sad AND something just made me laugh.

I am frustrated AND I am also grateful.

I am grieving AND I just experienced joy.

I am struggling AND something beautiful happened today.

Both things can be true.

Perhaps joy does not need the whole room.

Perhaps it simply needs us to notice when it walks in.

And that brings us directly to Conversation Three.

Next week, we turn our attention outward and ask what happens when happy goes sideways.

What happens when other people, relationships, expectations, circumstances, accessibility, barriers, validation, and the world around us begin influencing where we believe our happiness should come from?

We will explore dependence and interdependence, people pleasing, boundaries, validation, accessibility, independence, and what happens when we give something outside ourselves too much responsibility for what happens inside us.

The Practice of Happy is not a lecture.

It is not a prescription.

And it certainly is not an instruction manual for being happy.

It is a conversation.

One that we hope keeps growing.

One that we hope you will continue having with us.

And perhaps, after listening to this conversation, you will ask yourself the same question we used to close the evening.

Today, I noticed happy when...

Do We Question GOD: Dare we be Angry With GOD27 août 202600:19:32

Do We Question God?

Dare we allow ourselves to be angry with God.

By Anthony Corona

I recently turned this reflection into an audio recording about anger, faith, and the world we are living in.

It is about giving ourselves permission to grieve, to hurt, to question, and even to be angry.

But it is also about understanding where that anger is really directed.

Sometimes we believe we are angry with God when what we are actually angry with is a church, a religious institution, a leader, or an organization that claimed to speak for God and failed us.

Those are not necessarily the same thing.

Our churches, denominations, traditions, priests, pastors, teachers, and religious organizations can help us understand God. They can give us community, language, ritual, and connection.

But they are still human filters.

The institution is not God.

That distinction feels especially important in the divided and often ugly world we are living in today. We see faith and scripture used to separate people, judge people, and sometimes justify cruelty toward people.

I keep coming back to the Trinity.

The Father reminds us that there is something greater than ourselves.

The Son reminds us that God entered directly into human suffering, rejection, grief, and pain.

The Holy Ghost reminds us that God is still moving within us and among us, far beyond the walls of any church or institution.

Faith does not require us to deny our anger.

We can feel it.

We can name it.

We can grieve.

We can question.

We can wrestle.

But eventually, if we want to be free, we have to decide what we are going to do with it.

For me, the answer is surrender.

Give the anger to God.

Not because anger is always wrong, but because carrying it forever can change us. It can isolate us. It can harden us. It can make us resemble the very things that wounded us.

Maybe faith is not the absence of anger.

Maybe faith is trusting God enough to hand Him our anger and believing that He can transform it into understanding, compassion, courage, forgiveness, peace, and love.

This audio reflection is about that journey.

It is about questioning God, questioning the institutions that claim to represent Him, and trying to find faith, hope, and connection in a world that seems increasingly determined to divide us.

What Happens when the Bad Boy of Blind meets the Bubbly Beauty Blindy Girl?23 août 202601:34:21

🎪🎙️ LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. FRIENDS AND FAMILY. BLIND FOLKS, SIGHTED FOLKS, AUDIO DESCRIPTION SNOBS, ADVOCATES, TROUBLEMAKERS, AND EVERYONE IN BETWEEN. 🎙️🎪

STEP RIGHT UP. THIS SUNDAY  , THE BIG TOP IS OPENING.

After years of somehow circling around one another without ever actually sitting down together, the long anticipated conversation has FINALLY happened.

In one corner.

🥊 The Bad Boy of Blind, Anthony Corona.

And in the other.

🥊 The bubbly beauty behind Blindy Girl, Serina Gilbert.

What happens when you put two fired up personalities, two advocates, two people who are not particularly interested in keeping their opinions tucked neatly inside the lines, and two microphones together?

Apparently you get part Fourth of July fireworks. 🎆

Part advocacy rally. 📣

Part therapy session.

Part comedy show. 😂

And a WHOLE lot of fun.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Conversation One.

Yes. Conversation ONE.

Because somewhere along the way, Serina and I realized there was absolutely no chance we were getting everything into one conversation.

And believe me, we tried.

Serina shares her journey with retinitis pigmentosa and what it meant to grow into her identity as a blind woman.

We talk about family, acceptance, independence, employment, vocational rehabilitation, advocacy, and the complicated business of figuring out exactly who you are when the world has plenty of opinions about who it thinks you should be.

We talk about representation.

We talk about Nothing About Us Without Us.

We talk about Blindy Girl and how humor, honesty, lived experience, and a strategically deployed little bit of snark can educate, challenge assumptions, and build community.

And then we enter one of my favorite rabbit holes.

🎧 AUDIO DESCRIPTION. 🎧

Serina takes us behind the curtain of her work as a blind Audio Description Quality Control Specialist and explains why blind people belong inside the creative and quality control process, not simply waiting at the finish line to consume what somebody else has decided is good enough for us.

We talk about what makes audio description work.

What makes it fail.

Why Serina proudly calls herself an Audio Description Snob.

And what Nothing About Us Without Us really looks like when blind professionals have meaningful seats at the table.

We laugh.

We get serious.

We wander off course.

We find our way back.

And occasionally we discover that going off course was actually where the good stuff was hiding.

Basically, it is Sunday Edition exactly the way Sunday Edition is supposed to be.

Serina is vulnerable, funny, thoughtful, passionate, and wonderfully willing to go wherever the conversation takes us.

And by the time we were finished, there was only one conclusion.

We are absolutely doing this again.

🎪 So step right up, folks.

The Bad Boy of Blind meets Blindy Girl.

Anthony Corona and Serina Gilbert.

Conversation One. This Sunday at 1 PM Eastern  .

You can find the listening links at   www.anthonycorona.com  .

You can listen wherever you listen to podcasts. Just search for Sunday Edition with Anthony Corona.

Or by clicking here:

Bring your popcorn. 🍿

Bring your opinions.

And maybe bring some protective eyewear.

Because when these two personalities collide, there are going to be sparks. 🎆🔥🎙️

Catching up with Lorenzo Lamas 21 août 202600:48:03

🎙️ Sunday Edition in partnership with Take 2 Radio presents Lorenzo Lamas.

Thirteen years later, we are taking another ride with Lorenzo Lamas.

After 13 years, Pam and Anthony welcome Lorenzo back for a wide ranging, relaxed, and wonderfully candid conversation about more than four decades of television, movies, family, adventure, and life beyond the screen. 🎬🏍️✈️

Of course, we had to go back to Falcon Crest. Lorenzo reflects on the complexities of playing Lance Cumson, the character audiences loved, hated, and sometimes loved to hate. He shares memories of working with the legendary Jane Wyman and looks back at the extraordinary television phenomenon Falcon Crest became.

Then we trade the vineyards for the open road and talk Renegade, a series that continues to have an incredibly loyal following all these years later.

But there is a whole lot more to Lorenzo Lamas than Lance Cumson and Reno Raines.

We talk motorcycles and his connection to the Boozefighters. 🏍️ We talk about his love of flying. ✈️ We explore why independent filmmaking continues to excite him and why there are still new characters, new projects, and new stories worth chasing.

Lorenzo also catches us up on his latest projects, including A Christmas Persuasion, President Down, and Checkmate, along with upcoming fan appearances at 90s Con and Monopoly Events.

And because you know us, we go beyond the resume.

We talk family. Hollywood legacy. The stories Lorenzo may still want to tell. The lessons that come with a career spanning generations. And what life looks like when the cameras are not rolling.

Thirteen years after our first conversation, there was a lot to catch up on.

So come spend some time with Lorenzo Lamas, Pam and Anthony. 🎙️❤️

Choose Happy... A Sunday Edition Practicing Happy Conversation16 août 202601:46:19

The Practice of Happy

Conversation One: Choosing Happy

What does happiness actually mean to us?

Is happiness something that happens when life cooperates, or is it something we can choose, practice, notice, and make room for even while other emotions and experiences are present?

In Conversation One of our four part series, The Practice of Happy, host Anthony is joined by panelists Lorna, Mark, Gabriel, and Judy, with special contributions from Dr. Lynn, for an intimate and wide ranging exploration of what happiness means to each of us and how we find our way toward it through everything else that makes us human.

We began with personal reflections on happiness and quickly discovered just how different our relationships with the idea can be.

Gabriel introduced us to the concept of choosing happy. Not choosing happiness instead of everything else we feel, but recognizing that happiness can sometimes be an intentional choice we make for ourselves.

Anthony reflected on the idea of letting happy. What happens when we stop chasing happiness, defining it too narrowly, or waiting for permission to experience it, and simply allow happiness to find its place alongside everything else?

Judy reminded us about the importance of feeling what we actually feel. Sadness does not have to be replaced with happiness. Anger does not need to be covered with positivity. Fear, frustration, grief, disappointment, and uncertainty deserve to be acknowledged rather than pushed aside in an attempt to manufacture some version of happy.

Together, we discussed the possibility that more than one feeling, thought, or emotion can be true at exactly the same time.

We can be grieving and grateful.

We can be frustrated and hopeful.

We can be overwhelmed and still experience a moment of joy.

We can be disappointed by something happening in our lives and still recognize something else that makes us happy.

Happiness does not necessarily require the absence of everything that is difficult.

Mark offered another perspective, reflecting on how our jobs, advocacy, volunteerism, responsibilities, commitments, and the many roles we take on can create layers of buffering between ourselves and our happiness. Sometimes we become so busy doing, helping, producing, advocating, solving, and showing up that we forget to ask ourselves a deceptively simple question.

What makes me happy?

Throughout Conversation One, we kept returning to the idea of finding happy through the other emotions and situations we encounter every day rather than waiting for those emotions and situations to disappear.

And we are only beginning.

We closed our first conversation by moving from choosing happy and letting happy toward the larger idea at the heart of this series.

Practicing happy.

In Conversation Two, Happiness, Joy and the Space Between, we will explore happiness and joy. Are they the same thing? How are they different? Can one exist without the other? And what lives in that fascinating space between them?

We also teased where the rest of our journey will take us.

Conversation Three will explore what happens when life happens. We will look more closely at the stressors, disappointments, losses, responsibilities, pressures, and unexpected circumstances that can challenge our relationship with happiness, and how we navigate them without denying what we genuinely feel.

Then, in our fourth and final conversation, we will bring everything together through practical application. How do we take the ideas, experiences, questions, and perspectives explored throughout the first three conversations and actually put them into practice in our everyday lives?

Because perhaps happiness is not simply something we find.

Perhaps it is something we choose.

Something we allow.

Something we make room for.

And something we practice.

You Think I am Blind, You have No Idea What I Can See 15 août 202600:02:53

You Think I Am Blind. You Have No Idea How Much I Can See.

By Anthony Corona, founder of the Sunday Edition family of podcasts and digital media content services.

What do you see when you look at a Blind person?

The cane. The hesitation. The moment they need help. The stain on a shirt. The hand searching for a door handle.

But what are you missing?

In You Think I Am Blind. You Have No Idea How Much I Can See, Anthony Corona turns the idea of blindness around and asks a deceptively simple question.

Who is actually failing to see?

This personal reflection explores the enormous distance between what sighted people sometimes assume about blindness and the reality of living, adapting, learning, struggling, thriving, and building an independent life without sight.

It is about the hundred successful moments that can disappear behind the one moment when assistance is needed.

It is about learning to experience the world through sound, touch, instinct, memory, laughter, love, and compassion.

And it is about refusing the idea that blindness makes a person less whole, less capable, less happy, or somehow the inhabitant of a smaller life.

I have set this piece to audio using artificial intelligence and invite you to listen.

Because sometimes the person you assume cannot see may be noticing far more than you realize.

You Think I Am Blind.

You Have No Idea How Much I Can See.

Under CandleLight A Lush Audio Drama14 août 202600:41:58

Under Candlelight

An Audio Drama by Danielle Puderer

From The Amirra McCoy Project Audio Drama Podcast

A candlelit dinner in Paris.

Two men.

A conversation that lingers just a little longer than expected.

A walk along the Seine where what remains unspoken may matter more than anything either man can bring himself to say.

Under Candlelight is a lush, intimate romantic audio drama following Alain and Andre as something quietly extraordinary begins to unfold between them.

But this is a world where love does not exist in isolation.

There are expectations.

There are obligations.

There are lives waiting beyond the candlelight.

And there are feelings that cannot always be spoken aloud.

Through intimate conversations, stolen moments, memory, art, distance, and the haunting presence of words left unsaid, Under Candlelight asks what becomes of a love that cannot easily be lived in the open.

Can something hidden still leave a mark.

Can memory preserve what time tries to erase.

And can art give voice to a story that once had to remain silent.

We are not going to tell you what happens.

Instead, dim the lights, put on your headphones, and allow Danielle Puderer to take you to Paris and into the world of Alain and Andre. 🕯️❤️🎧

A Note From The Executive Producer Of The Sunday Edition Family Of Podcasts

Guest contributor Danielle Puderer has shared this beautiful audio drama with our audience, and we are thrilled to welcome Danielle to the Sunday Edition family of podcasts.

Secret Crush A Romantic Mystery 14 août 202600:15:32

Secret Crush. A Romantic Mystery.

By Anthony Corona

What happens when a stranger seems to know exactly what makes your heart beat a little faster.

Josh is going about an ordinary life when he notices a mysterious young man watching him from across the way. Then the stranger appears again. And again.

Soon unexpected gifts begin arriving at Josh’s desk. A treasured childhood book. Favorite music. Chocolate covered cherries. Each one chosen with an unsettling amount of care. Someone knows what Josh loves. Someone has been listening. And whoever it is seems determined to bring a little old fashioned romance back into his life.

But who is his secret admirer. How does he know so much about Josh. And what happens when Josh finally discovers the man behind the mystery.

Secret Crush is a romantic story about attraction, surprise, longing, and two young men discovering that sometimes getting swept off your feet begins with simply being noticed.

I have created an audio version of Secret Crush, so settle in and give it a listen. 🎧❤️

Authors Note

I pulled this one out of the vault and used AI to narrate the audio version.

I originally wrote Secret Crush in my mid 20s, in the early 2000s, when we were still burning CDs, buying DVDs, and transitioning from beepers and pagers to cell phones. Yes, there are CDs, DVDs, Starbucks dates, and a world before our entire lives lived inside our phones. 💿📱

I did a little editing and cleaning up, but I deliberately did not try to turn it into something I would write today. This is where I was as a writer and as a young gay man around 25 years ago.

Reading it again all these years later surprised me. For all the little time capsules tucked inside it, I think the heart of the story has held up remarkably well.

Mystery. Romance. That delicious uncertainty of wondering whether someone likes you. And the wonderfully ridiculous lengths we sometimes go to when we really want to make someone’s heart flutter.

I hope you enjoy Secret Crush. ❤️

And if it leaves you wondering whether romance could be waiting on a park bench, in the mailroom, or just outside your line of sight, then maybe young me still knew a thing or two. 😉

Measure of Heart A Modern Day Parable11 août 202600:14:00

THE MEASURE OF A HEART

A New Parable by Anthony Corona

It began with the sunrise.

No announcement. No warning. No explanation.

Across the world, humanity awakens to discover that something has changed.

Something is measuring us.

No one knows where it came from.No one knows who created it.No one knows whether it is science, judgment, evolution, God, or something humanity has never encountered before.

They call it The Measure.

And suddenly, everything we thought determined human worth is being questioned.

Money. Power. Status. Religion. Success. Justice. Even the stories we tell ourselves about who we are.

What is The Measure?

Why has it come?

And what happens to humanity when there is nowhere left to hide from what lives inside the human heart?

The Measure of a Heart is an original parable written by Anthony Corona and presented as a special audio production using a custom created AI narrative voice.

Listen at www.anthonycorona.com and across the Sunday Edition family of podcasts and digital media content services.

The Measure has arrived.

What would it see in you?

Convention Crossroads: Un Packing the ACB and NFB experience10 août 202601:50:42

Sunday Edition with Anthony Corona.

Convention Crossroads 2026.

What Did We Learn. Where Do We Go From Here.

Two national conventions. Two organizations. One community.

This week on Sunday Edition, we brought together an honest, respectful, and thoughtful conversation reflecting on our experiences at the 2026 National Federation of the Blind and American Council of the Blind conventions.

Throughout the discussion, we celebrated the many strengths of both organizations. We explored the programs, traditions, advocacy efforts, educational opportunities, leadership, and sense of community that each convention brings to thousands of attendees every year. We also discussed areas where both organizations have opportunities to continue growing and evolving as they work to better serve an increasingly diverse blindness community.

One of the most engaging conversations centered around the future. What if both organizations found ways to collaborate while maintaining their unique identities? We explored the possibility of hosting conventions in the same city during the same week, creating opportunities to share technology exhibit halls, vendor spaces, selected educational sessions, social events, and networking opportunities while preserving each organization's independent governance and culture.

The conversation also examined what it truly means to create welcoming community spaces. We discussed the importance of fostering environments where people across the entire blindness spectrum feel respected, valued, heard, and included. From first time convention attendees to longtime members, from guide dog users to white cane travelers, from blind individuals to those with low vision, every voice deserves a place within our community.

We spent time discussing the low vision experience and the importance of recognizing that blindness exists across a broad spectrum. Accessibility is not one size fits all, and meaningful inclusion requires understanding the different perspectives, needs, and experiences that people bring with them.

Most importantly, this conversation was never about declaring winners or losers. It was about listening, learning, sharing ideas, and imagining how our community can become stronger by recognizing the strengths found throughout both organizations.

This conversation is only the beginning.

Based on the thoughtful feedback and ideas shared during the live event, we will be scheduling Part Two in the coming weeks to continue exploring these important topics and to welcome even more voices into the discussion.

Thank you to everyone who joined us live, shared your experiences, challenged our thinking, and helped make this one of the most meaningful conversations of our convention season.

Sunday Edition. Special Bonus Episode. A Second Act Through Storytelling, American Sign Language, and Inclusion10 août 202600:45:02

Sunday Edition. Special  Bonus Episode.

A Second Act Through Storytelling, American Sign Language, and Inclusion.

What happens when a love for a grandchild, a passion for education, and a belief in inclusion come together?

In this special Sunday Edition bonus episode, Anthony Corona welcomes award winning author and ASL advocate Kathleen Marcath for an inspiring conversation about purpose, creativity, and what she describes as her remarkable second act.

Inspired by her grandson's love of monster trucks and her lifelong commitment to the Deaf and hard of hearing community, Kathleen created the bestselling children's book My Monster Truck Goes Everywhere with Me. More than just a story, the book introduces children and families to American Sign Language in a fun, engaging, and accessible way. Along with a companion workbook and delightful educational videos, Kathleen is helping families, classrooms, and communities discover that learning ASL can become a natural part of story time and everyday life.

During this conversation we explore the many benefits of learning American Sign Language beyond communication alone. Kathleen explains how learning ASL stimulates multiple language centers in the brain, supports literacy and cognitive development, and can positively impact educational achievement. We also discuss the research connecting second language learning and music to stronger academic outcomes and lifelong learning.

Together we examine the importance of inclusion, representation, and creating opportunities for Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing children to learn, play, and grow together. We discuss how introducing ASL at an early age builds empathy, strengthens family connections, and helps children better understand that people experience the world in many different ways.

Whether you are a parent, grandparent, educator, librarian, therapist, or simply someone who believes every child deserves to feel seen and included, this conversation is filled with inspiration, practical ideas, and hope for the future.

Join us for a heartfelt discussion about books, family, education, inclusion, and the extraordinary difference one person can make by following a simple idea born from love.

My Monster Truck Goes Everywhere with Me.

With special guest Kathleen Marcath.

Only on Sunday Edition with Anthony Corona.

When the Whole World Dreamed: A modern Day Parable 04 août 202600:10:32

When the whole world dreamedA modern day parable.

By: Anthony Corona founder of the Sunday edition family of podcast.

From time to time, a story arrives that is not meant to answer every question. It is meant to ask one.

What if, for just one night, every person on Earth shared the very same dream.

A dream of a breathtaking garden. A dream of Jesus speaking not with anger, but with love. A dream where compassion rose above fear, mercy outshined judgment, and humanity remembered that dignity belongs to everyone.

When the Whole World Dreamed is not about proving theology. It is about exploring hope. It is an invitation to imagine what might happen if we all awakened carrying the same message.

Would the miracle be the dream.

Or what we chose to do after we woke.

Read the full story and discover more articles, podcasts, conversations, and original content at www.anthonycorona.com.

What do you think. If the whole world shared the same dream tonight, what message do you hope we would all remember.

Leadership with Intention; Leading with Integrity 12 juil. 202601:20:53

Sometimes the most meaningful conversations happen when people with different perspectives choose to listen before they speak.

This week, Anthony Corona passes the microphone to someone he deeply respects, Ray Campbell, for an honest, thoughtful, and timely conversation with Gabriel Lopez Cafati about leadership.

Throughout this year, and indeed throughout nearly seven years of Sunday Edition, we have continued to create space for meaningful conversations about leadership from many different perspectives. At a time when those conversations may be more important than ever, we invite you to pull up a chair and join us.

What makes a great leader.

How do we navigate disagreements without losing our humanity.

Why do authenticity, integrity, transparency, and respect matter more than ever.

Gabriel shares his remarkable journey from studying law and becoming a corporate attorney in Honduras to coming to the United States to learn the blindness skills that would shape the next chapter of his life. It was here that he discovered the American Council of the Blind, where a second act of his leadership journey truly began. Along the way, he reflects on the mentors who helped shape him, the opportunities leadership has opened for him, how leadership itself has transformed him, and why creating opportunities for others while honoring every voice across our community remains one of the greatest responsibilities any leader can embrace.

The conversation also explores building common ground during difficult moments, preparing the next generation of leaders, and why healthy organizations depend on democratic processes, accountability, and the willingness to move forward together.

Whether you are a current leader, an aspiring leader, or simply someone who cares about the future of our community, this is a conversation that reminds us leadership is not about titles. It is about people.

Your Golden Toilet Bowl cannot Buy your way past the Pearly Gates04 juil. 202600:10:05

Your Golden Toilet Bowl Can’t Buy Your Way Through the Pearly Gates

What happens when power, politics, and eternity collide?

In this thought provoking Sunday Edition Spotlight, Anthony Corona imagines an extraordinary conversation at the gates of Heaven as Presidents Joe Biden and Donald Trump arrive together to face the same final judgment.

Through satire, humor, and spiritual reflection, the story explores themes of leadership, humility, compassion, accountability, and the consequences of the words we choose while wielding influence. At its core, this is not a political endorsement or condemnation of any individual. It is an invitation to consider what truly matters when wealth, fame, power, and public opinion are stripped away.

Can success on Earth purchase redemption? Does applause outweigh character? Can a damaged conscience still be restored?

Blending wit with moments of genuine introspection, this fictional parable reminds us that history may judge our accomplishments, but our humanity, our compassion, and the way we treat one another may ultimately matter far more.

First They Came For... Now they are at our Door! A reflection on the state of Disability Advocacy03 juil. 202600:15:09

What happens when the warning signs of history begin to feel uncomfortably familiar?

In this powerful Sunday Edition Spotlight, Anthony Corona reflects on the enduring message of Martin Niemoller’s “First They Came” and explores how fear, division, and the gradual erosion of rights have shaped generations of American political and social discourse.

Moving through the experiences of women, LGBTQIA plus people, immigrants, and the disability community, Anthony examines the ways marginalized groups are often targeted one at a time while the rest of society is encouraged to look away. Rather than focusing on any single issue, this commentary asks listeners to consider a broader question. What happens when communities remain divided while fundamental rights and human dignity are increasingly challenged?

At its heart, this is a call for coalition, solidarity, and vigilance. It is a reminder that disability rights are human rights. LGBTQIA plus rights are human rights. Women’s rights are human rights. Immigrant rights are human rights. Civil rights are human rights. When one community is weakened, every community becomes more vulnerable.

Whether you agree, disagree, or find yourself somewhere in between, this Spotlight invites thoughtful conversation about history, empathy, civic engagement, and the responsibility we all share in protecting one another.
