015 | How Optimism And Mindfulness Heal After A Devastating Diagnosis | Interview with Bizette Gailewicz 03 Apr 202000:37:31

Hey Warriors-

I hope you are staying healthy and safe during this unprecedented and crazy time.  We are all navigating unchartered waters, with worry and fear driving our thoughts each day. Now, more than ever, we need to focus on our mental wellness and daily practices to stay mentally strong.

In this episode, mindful mommy Bizette Gailewicz, shares her health journey with us and how focusing on positivity and mindfulness helped her heal.  At 27 years-old she was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder. She then battled pre-eclampsia during pregnancy, cardiac and kidney failure, and years of major flare-ups of lupus.  Throughout her journey, she refused to accept the diagnosis she was given and was determined not to let it define her.  She reached out to holistic healers and used practices such as mindfulness and meditation to help guide her through her journey.  Today, she is healed and has dedicated her life to empowering children to help control big emotions so they grow into healthier and happier adults. She teaches meditation to children and has written a children’s book on meditation. She believes giving them the tools they need at a young age will help them to deal with the challenges that we all inevitably experience in life. I couldn’t argee more! Take a listen to this inspiring episode to hear how Bizettte healed herself by focusing on what she could control in her life, her mindset!

014 | How Two Badass Business Owners Warrior Up During a Shutdown 31 Mar 202000:36:54

Hey Warriors-

I hope that everyone is staying healthy, safe, and sane as we all adhere to social distancing and do our best to support our local healthcare providers and all essential workers at this time.  They are truly our heroes, keeping business moving and leaving their homes so that we can have food, medicine, and all the essentials that we need. We are extremely grateful for you!

This is a scary and devastating time for many business owners. Many of us live in a small town where the local businesses are the heart and soul of our town.  They are there for us, supporting our community, and brining us together through their food, services or entertainment.  In this weeks special episode of Suburban Warrior Podcast, I interview two small business owners from very different businesses.  Sean Coyle, owner of The Goat's Beard Restaurant in Manayunk and Wayne, PA and Maureen Doron, owner of SKIRT Fashion Boutique in Bryn Mawr & Philadelphia, PA and Stone Harbor, NJ.  Two very different businesses, both forced to reevaluate how they do business during a shut down.   These brave owners share their journey of how they had to instantly and consistently pivot their business model just to keep the lights on.  And not only are they thinking outside the box as to how they can still serve their customers, but they are giving back to the community as well, putting those less fortunate first and extending a hand to neighbors in need.  A true example of what it means to be a small business and support a community.  Take a listen!  My hope is that if you own a business of your own, this may help you to think differently as to how you can support your customer base and if you are a customer or a client, please consider supporting a small business if you can.  Now more than ever, they need us just as much as we've always needed them.

005 | Conversations with Spirit | How to Listen to Your Intuition | Interview with Medium Michelle Young 28 Jan 202000:41:54

Hey there warriors!

You may think this is all woo-woo, but we all have an inner voice that sometimes we choose to block out...and sometimes we listen.  What if we all knew how to better communicate with that inner voice?

Michelle Young is an enlightened woman. Her gifts started presenting themselves in childhood and were always prevalent in her life. Recent events that impacted Michelle involved the death of a family friend. Michelle was aware of extenuating circumstances around this tragic event. As spirit would have it, Michelle found a wonderful mentor to help her understand her gifts and how to nurture and develop them. One mentor lead to another, and step by step, Michelle has been guided both with personal mentorship and spiritual mentorship with her pen.  She is a medium, a mom, a reiki practitioner and she channels messages from heaven.

Michelle believes that we are all enlightened.  That each and every one of us has gifts and we can learn to tap into them, to listen to our inner voice/intuition.  Going deeper and learning how to tap into that place inside all of us all gives us the ability to develop, nurture, and thrive in all areas (physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually) all the days of our lives.  Giving us the ability to show up as our most authentic selves.

004 | How To Reclaim Your Power Over Weight Gain | Interview with Dr. Mary Claire Haver 21 Jan 202000:39:52

Hey Warriors!

In this episode, Dr. Mary Claire Haver, Board certified OBGYN and creator of The Galveston Diet tells us how she unlocked the secret to combating middle-age weight gain through her own life struggles.  When Dr. Haver was experiencing the weight gain associated with menopause she decided that the solutions available were unacceptable and she had to discover another, more effective way! The Galveston Diet has helped thousands of women who battle weight gain to due to menopause but certainly translates to anyone experiencing battles with their weight.

Dr. Mary Claire Haver is a wife, mom, physician, and entrepreneur who has devoted her adult life to women’s health. As a Board Certified OBGYN in the Houston area, Dr. Haver has delivered thousands of babies, completed thousands of well-woman exams, counseled patients, taught residents and did everything an academic professor and OBGYN could do. As her patient population aged, she was overwhelmed with the number of complaints and concerns her patients had with weight gain while going through menopause. For years, she told her patients to eat less and exercise more. It wasn’t until she, too, experienced the changes of menopause that she realized this advice doesn’t work.

Dr. Mary Claire Haver is the founder and creator of The Galveston Diet, the first and only nutrition program in the world created by a Female OBGYN, designed for women in menopause. The Galveston Diet is dedicated to helping women reach their health and wellness goals through an anti-inflammatory approach to nutrition.  In an effort to learn as much as she could about medical nutrition, she became certified in Culinary Medicine in 2019.

She has been married to her husband, Christopher Haver since 1996 and they are raising two teenage girls, the loves of their lives.

087 | How to Enter the Realm of Ease & Joy | Daniela Sulek02 May 202300:35:35

We weren’t put on this earth to grind, hustle, be stressed all the time, and work ourselves into the ground. What if we let go of the need for constant self-improvement and the control to have everything turn out a certain way?

Daniela Sulek helps renowned leaders of the business and spiritual world move into a permanent state of ease and joy. By transcending from the conditioned human to the consciousness of the true self, they shift into effortlessly creating by being instead of by doing.

Our minds create the illusion of control. The challenges we face are not there to punish us; they are there to realize we have no control over them. We need to be aware of our emotions but not control them.
