| 37 Dealing with deep hurts, how to forgive and set boundaries | 13 Oct 2021 | 00:32:03 | |
We have all been hurt by someone at some point. Sometimes we have not quite healed, dealt with, set boundaries or forgiven those that have hurt us. Some of our hurts are deeper than others and it takes Christ and some intentional choices on our part to heal. In this episode, I am covering a topic that was submitted by someone else. I did my best to address this topic from personal experience and I hope it's helpful. If you have a topic you would like me to discuss on a future episode let me know by sending an email, or a DM on Instagram and I will do my best to discuss that topic. | 35 You can not do it all and trying to may hinder your ability to Steward well. | 29 Sep 2021 | 00:27:56
When it comes to Stewardship and being a responsible Steward in general we have to be intentional. We have to be diligent about managing what is in our hands and our personal lives.
Different seasons call for different things to manage. Discerning what season we are in is vital so that we know what we should be managing in each season that we are in.
We can say yes to A LOT of things and we can fill our plates with every request that comes our way. But, in doing so we may hinder what we should truly steward.
We can not do it all.
But we can discern what we have been given and use our energy wisely. We can manage with intention and discernment.
Listen to episode 35 of the Style and Stewardship Podcast as I talk about the [how] of stewarding and so much more that we can learn from the Parable of the Talents.
I hope it encourages you.

| 34 You don’t have to do it all, and some other truths about identity and stewardship. | 22 Sep 2021 | 00:14:00 | |
On this episode of The Style And Stewardship Podcast, I wanted you to be encouraged by the truth that you do not have to do it all. You don't have to be good at everything. There is freedom in your limitations. There are things you don't have to know, understand, or have all figured out. You don't have to be good at what everyone else is good at in order to be great at what God has equipped you to do. This episode is about the freedom to be the person God created you to be according to His specific design. I'm also touching on the importance of contentment and of course how this all comes back to stewardship!

| 31 How to get out of Debt. Our debt-free journey financial stewardship Part 2 | 01 Sep 2021 | 00:20:31 | |
This is part 2 of our financial Stewardship story. When it comes to how to get out of debt we have to take some very intentional efforts. I shared our debt-free journey and the steps we took in this blog post. We got out of debt several years ago but I wanted to share that here on the podcast. I know many have found this podcast because they searched "stewardship." And many times that word is used in conjunction with managing finances God's way. Even though this podcast is about much more than financial stewardship I had to share some helpful tips when it comes to paying off debt and being an intentional financial steward. I shared some thoughts and some of our beliefs and experiences with money and how we started our debt-free journey in Part 1 Episode 30. This episode (31) is to give some insight on specific efforts that we made and some tips I hope will be helpful if you are on a debt-free journey. Some of the tips I shared also include how I save on some healthy snack options for example in this YouTube video.
Thank you so much for listening and I truly hope this episode is helpful!

You may have found the Style and Stewardship podcast by looking up financial stewardship and money management. As believers, we can steward everything to the glory of God and this Pod exists to point you to do that in your own way. We can be responsible and intentional stewards in every area. Episode 29 Thinking out loud about "self-care," and "self-love." Part 2 This episode piggybacks off the last with a bit more to say about these self-concepts and their popularity. I'm no expert just a woman pondering on how, or if something falls in line with the word of God. Wondering aloud if we should adopt all the "buzz words" that are circulating in our culture. Honestly, regardless of whether other Christians or popular people agree or not, it all has to be found and confirmed from a Christian worldview.

What does God actually say about food — and does it matter what's on your plate as a Christian? In this foundational episode, we're going into what Scripture reveals about stewardship of the body, why your physical health is a spiritual matter, and how honoring God's design for food is an act of worship and obedience. This is part one of a two-part series. Be sure to follow up with episode 117. In this episode:

| 28 The Problem With Self Care, and Self Love | 11 Aug 2021 | 00:19:33 | |
In this episode of the Style and Stewardship Podcast. I'm thinking out loud about "self-care" and "self-love." To be honest I don't particularly believe we struggle with the right priorities. When you look at your life do you believe that self-care or self-love are what you need more of?
Do these phrases really sum up and articulate what you are [actually] missing and needing?
Spoiler alert! I don't think the issue most of us have actually has much to do with these two buzz-words at all.

| 23 What is your worth, value, and identity placed in? | 07 Jul 2021 | 00:21:46 | |
Our identity can be placed in what other people deem worthy and valuable. If it is in those things it is shakable, unstable and it’s a cage. Our value is in something so beyond and transcendent of what we see in the form of the opinions of others and the “value” they place. The value and worth we have is Not within what we do. Our worth, value, and identity is NOT in what others esteem, praise, or lift up. Listen to this episode as we discuss Value, Identity, Worth, and Worthiness. | 22 Take the doubts with you and keep going until God tells you to stop | 23 Jun 2021 | 00:14:27
It's so easy to get caught up in the enemy's trap. He uses some pretty simple devices that are repeatedly successful if we are not discerning what he's using. At times doubts scream louder than truth. Fear and doubts have their role but so do we. We can take the doubts with us and do what God has prompted us to do. I wanted to encourage you, me, us to keep going until God tells you to stop. Remember who you are working for. Do all things for His glory and allow your faith to grow step by step. He's with you and won't forsake you. Scriptures referenced via biblegateway.com

| 19 Go Where There is Freedom Steward Where You Are | 02 Jun 2021 | 00:17:11 | |
Go where there is freedom that was what God laid on my heart. It's so easy to think that just because we are a certain way that God is somehow unaware. But He knows us completely and all of our ways are plain before Him.
There are times when we can lose clarity, peace and neglect to rest and see the freedom that we have in Christ.
We can get in our own way and make things more complicated than they need to be. Our personalities and propensities sometimes can get in the way.
We still have to leave space for God to work in our lives. It can be hard to wait but Peace and Freedom only come in and through God's plan and our obedience to it.
In this episode we speak about
-Clarity
-Peace
-How our personality plays a part in our cloudy vision
-"wrestling with God"
- and Freedom
"So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free." John 8:36

| 17 Poor Stewardship, Impact, Legacy and Gifts | 18 May 2021 | 00:26:32 | |
Welcome to episode 17 of the Style And Stewardship Podcast. In this episode, I'm speaking on a few topics. | 16 Diversity is a Beautiful Thing | 12 May 2021 | 00:07:27
Diversity is a beautiful thing! God has made us all in such unique and distinguishable ways. However, God made us for the same [ultimate] purpose. The variance of God’s creation and the way were are made is a Beautiful thing. No two people are identical and God was purposeful when He created each of us. I believe we miss so much of who God is because we deny the worth and worthiness of His creation. Nature cries out in its beauty and incomprehensible wonder. The cells in our body, the hair on our head, the Galaxy, and everything we see and don’t see… God Created. We can not comprehend the magnitude and Glory of our God nor can we deny it. In this episode, we touch on topics of:

| 14 What is Your Calling Are you Hiding and Shrinking From Your Calling? | 28 Apr 2021 | 00:15:34 | |
Are you hiding and shrinking from your call? Do you believe what God is sending you out to do? As I was reading the OT with my son one morning something really stuck out to me. It was this thought that centered around hiding, and or shrinking. Not your ordinary, average "hiding," or inferiority issue, but hiding from God.
I don't know about you but I want to live fully as God has called me to. I know this, whatever God has called you to Steward, you can't do it without him.
God wants you to make an impact and the enemy would love to "steal, kill, and destroy" that. If he can get you to shrink from ever doing anything impactful for the kingdom of God he will strike that blow.
He will use whatever means we allow him. So let's not allow inaction to be a tool he can use against us.
I'm praying and rooting for you, and reminding myself!

| 13 How To Reduce Stress Does Your To Do List Fit Your Life? | 21 Apr 2021 | 00:29:13 | |
We ladies sometimes want to do too much and we have great intentions to do "good" things.
The problem is we tend to add things to our plate that don't necessarily fit our lives or our personalities at all.
Many times our to-do list and goals take on a life of their own and drain our lives as a whole.
Lists are not bad in and of themselves and neither are goals.
But do we always have the right perspective and do we consider not just what we want to do, but if we are "made" to do "it" like "that?"
That's what I'm discussing in this episode of the Style And Stewardship Podcast.
Do your to-do's, goals, and habits actually fit your life? The life you actually live?
Stewarding our lives starts with Stewarding our thoughts, and the time we have been given.
Everything doesn't deserve your attention, focus, or energy. Depending on how God created you your lists may be defeating your time.
I hope this episode encourages you and challenges you to get fiercely determined about your time with the Grace only God provides.

| 12 Do You Believe God is Keeping Something Good From You? | 14 Apr 2021 | 00:13:20 | |
Do you believe that God is keeping something good from you? The enemy always wants you to believe that God is holding out on you. But this is a lie that we have to recognize.
Because the word says that if we are living rightly there is no good thing that he will keep from us.
“For the Lord God is our sun and our shield.
He gives us grace and glory.
The Lord will withhold no good thing
from those who do what is right..”
Psalm 84:11
Many times when we are approaching and attempting to do something for God the enemy likes to whisper that what’s on the other side won’t even be good. He will tempt us to believe that it isn’t worth waiting for or working towards. He always wants you to give in to doubt and get you to believe a lie about God.
But, again, that’s a lie.
In this episode that’s what I’m discussing because I want you to know that whatever God is prompting you to do will always be worth it.
Obedience to the one who calls you is always worth it.

Thanks for tuning in to this episode of the Style And Stewardship Podcast. In this episode, I literally just grabbed my phone and began recording what God laid on my heart. Of course, this isn't the first, nor the last time that I've created an episode in that way. But the question on my heart was... Who are you giving your best to?
I touch on this question as I am pondering it myself. My hope is that it prompts you to ask yourself that question. Some days my prayer is simply that God would help direct my heart in the right direction.
You, my friend, are also called to Manage (Steward) your life in a way that is honoring to God.

| 10 What is Style and Stewardship? | 22 Feb 2021 | 00:17:35 | |
Have you ever wondered where the title Style and Stewardship came from? In this episode, I wanted to share the heart-beat and intention behind the Blog and everything I'm doing here.
Stewardship is not necessarily an everyday word. When the word is used it is typically used in reference to finances, tithing, and money management.
I believe however that Stewardship is all-encompassing to the Believer and directs our hearts to more than Money Management. Though that is important too!
You, my friend, are also called to Manage (Steward) your life in a way that is honoring to God.

| 08 Going into a New Year (2021): Do You Even Need All That? | 28 Dec 2020 | 00:12:40 | |
Can you believe it's almost 2021?! On this episode of the Podcast I was driving home and I felt the need to speak what was on my heart. As usual, it's not some random thought but a thought that has been ruminating in my mind for some time. Questions that God has laid on my heart and I hope that it inspires you for the New Year ahead. Have you ever attempted to do something that felt really BIG? You knew you were supposed to walk forward and take action. You knew it was God prompting you to move forward. However, instead of walking forward, you spent a lot of time and energy collecting, consuming, and acquiring things you "needed" to move forward. This is the episode for you if you are struggling with moving forward. The only thing we really need to do to move forward is taking a step. I'm not an expert but I can say that I've learned (and I'm learning) that you don't need as much as you think you do to do what God is telling you to do.
