| (2021) The War on Pornography: Fear Mongering, Sex Education and the Role of Schools and Parenting with Carlie McPhee of The Whole SHEbang | 19 May 2024 | 01:11:07 | |
***TW: mention of sexual assault in this episode.*** We’re taking a bit of a turn this week as I excitedly bring on my colleague from one of my vanilla gigs, Carlie McPhee, a sexual health educator based in Vancouver, Canada to speak to us about the so-called effects of pornography on children. We analyze the newly-released documentary, “Raised on Porn”, as requested by one of you listeners (thanks @gallegosmash!). He wanted to know if this film was based on factual merit or evidentiary research or if it was sensationalism at its finest. If you’ve been a long-time listener of the show, you may know that us sex workers get the brunt end of stigmatization, tasteless jokes, the short end of the stick when it comes to policy and acknowledgement, and the list can go on. I bring on Carlie this week to dissect the unintentional role pornography plays in kids’ lives when growing up: as a sexual education tool. We also discuss sexual health education in schools and at home and discuss where the responsibility should lie amongst our kids and youth. With porn being so accessible nowadays, where does it belong? What should we do about it? Share your thoughts with us! Find Carlie online at : Don't forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW and SUBSCRIBE!

| #128 – Sex Work and Disability: Coping, Navigating and Incorporating Disability into Your Work w/ GoAskAlex | 17 Jul 2022 | 01:00:06 | |
I’m still pinching myself that I scored an interview with reknowned adult performer and sex work advocate, GoAskAlex, this week! GoAskAlex is an ostomate and if you don’t know what that term is, you’ll soon learn what that is on the show. After a life-changing surgery, she had a permanent medical device placed on her body. Due to the nature of our jobs and the use of our bodies, this one was near impossible to conceal. Alex shares her story of living with a disability and how she was able to live and incorporate her disability into her own sex work. We also dive into her advocacy work for underrepresented bodies in the adult industry, the severe lack of BIPOC sex workers in porn and the current arising problems she sees within the industry. | #127 - The Many Sides of Human Trafficking w/ London Bridges | 10 Jul 2022 | 01:21:28
***TRIGGER WARNING*** Mention of sexual assault, human trafficking, sex trafficking and rape. We're dipping into some heavier content today. I speak with sex trafficking survivor, burlesque dancer, and spiritual guide, London Bridges, on today's episode. I recently heard London's story on another well-known podcast but was shocked at the lack of sensitivity training that the hosts had when they interrogated her during her interview and the blatant disregard that was comment section on their Instagram. I was maddened by how so many people invalidated London's experience, claiming that trafficking only looks a certain way. It does not. Trafficking rears its ugly head in many different forms which we go over in depth during this episode and we go over London's story on how she was groomed and tricked via spirituality which ended up with her being trafficked by an abuser. Please listen to London's story with an open mind. Watch the video exclusive only on Patreon: https://patreon.com/strippedbysia Don't forget to LIKE, RATE, COMMENT, SHARE and SUBSCRIBE!

So excited to bring this one onto the show this week for some fun, lighter material! This week, I bring to you cam model, Kiley Corrupt, who specializes in cosplay and elf content. I met Kiley when I was in Tempe, AZ for the YNOT Reunion this past April and knew I just wanted to bring her onto the show at some point. Kiley is a YNOT and XBIZ-nominated cam model on Streamate who speaks to us about her very specific content, how the adult industry has worked for her thus far, the pitfalls that we need to actively avoid and how she is on the up and up to rise to success. We speak about her humble beginnings and how that it's sometimes trial and error when you are first starting out in the biz. Kiley also shares with us some valuable insight on how she stays genuine and why that's worked for her. | #125 - A Historic Win: Decriminalization of SW in Belgium w/ Quentin Deltour of Espace P | 26 Jun 2022 | 01:33:32
I've got to say, I was a little nervous yet super excited to record this week's episode. I had a riveting conversation with Brussels-based, Espace P, a non-profit organization which helps and protects sex workers in Belgium. I got the opportunity to speak with their public relations representative, Quentin Deltour, to learn more about the organization, the history and who Espace P helps, and how much of a resource they are for sex workers based in Belgium. Although it is a small country, Belgium became the first European country to decriminalize sex work back in March of this year. We speak about the struggles that sex workers have experienced in Belgium, what this decision may mean and what will happen moving forward for sex workers and clients. English is not Quentin's first language so please practice patience with him as he navigates throughout our conversation. | #124 - Porn Debunked: Imposter Syndrome, Reality vs. Fantasy and Defining "Ethical" Porn w/ Alison Rey | 19 Jun 2022 | 01:07:16
Folks, I am so stoked to bring on this week's guest onto the show! If you haven't heard of Alison Rey, she is a longstanding adult performer and producer in the industry who will be giving us an insight on the porn industry. Alison shares with us her story on how she got into porn, having the choice to say no to scenes you don't want to do, challenging certain storylines in porn and how she went from performing to producing...and back to performing. She lays it all down for us this week in debunking some myths about squirting and performers using enhancements and gets real vulnerable with us in struggling with imposter syndrome, questioning what "ethical porn" really is and acknowledges just how fun filming cheesy porn is. It's a packed episode that really gives us insight on how the industry work from someone who has been both in front and behind the camera. | #123 – “I Can Be Myself Again: Returning to SW After Being Trafficked w/ Maya Romero | 13 Jun 2022 | 01:32:20
***TRIGGER WARNING: Mention of human trafficking, sex trafficking*** It’s a heavier episode this week as I speak with Maya Romero, a fellow cam model, on her story on how she was sex trafficked. What started as a seemingly harmless encounter with her then-boyfriend, turned into a nightmare. “Have you ever heard of OnlyFans?”, said her abuser. Little did she know what she would encounter and ensue over the next six months would have a hold on her life. We speak about warning signs and red flags, grooming, manipulation, how she was able to escape and flee, and what she would tell other victims in similar situations. It’s a riveting and raw episode and it might be advisable to break this episode into chunks as it was quite triggering. | #122 – Dissecting Artificial Intelligence: Being Aware of the Impact that Algorithms, Apps and Platforms May Have on You w/ Dr. Mistress Snow | 05 Jun 2022 | 01:09:23
I have been patiently awaiting for this episode to be released! I am really excited to pair my nerdiness on artificial intelligence and sex work on this episode with fellow dominatrix, researcher and professor, Dr. Mistress Snow, onto the show this week! Dr. Snow is an adjunct professor and researcher at NYU at the AI Now Institute and the UCLA Center for Critical Intelligence and as a sex worker, she understands the many discriminatory practices through artificial intelligence that major platforms and companies adopt to prevent sex workers from doing our jobs. Dr. Snow opens up about her current research, shares her thoughts on the recent acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk and what that might mean for sex workers, and ways that artificial intelligence works in ways that do not allow us to thrive. It is a completely fascinating conversation (atleast for me!) that absolutely affects our livelihood and how we conduct business. | #119 – A Review on the Shift in Language and Terminology Amongst the Trans Community w/ Velvet Steele | 15 May 2022 | 01:15:14
With so much emphasis on the trans community in recent times regarding gender affirming surgery and trans rights, I think it was time to have an overdue conversation with trans activist, Velvet Steele. Velvet is a longtime educator, advocate, SWer and icon in the queer community in Vancouver who I’ve been looking forward to having on the show. Velvet provides her crystal clear perspective on how language has shaped, impacted and harmed the community. Going from the past to present, we discuss problematic terms such as a sex reassignment surgery to outdated and offensive terms like “shemale” and how other buzzwords have discriminated and harmed the trans community. We speak about the importance in language and how its become more trans inclusive, shying away from terms we had once used in the past. Velvet took so much time to answer many fan questions and gives us a crash course on trans history – a fantastically educational episode that you don’t want to miss. Despite her many accolades, I get the opportunity to speak to BADKITTYYY about her more vulnerable side. She opens up about why she waited so long to get into sex work, body issues that she’s struggled with before, and her battle with binge eating. She brings up an important point that BBWs can also suffer from eating disorders too. It’s important to speak about this and I am so glad that we were able to touch on so many subjects that she had never spoken about before. Watch the video exclusive on Patreon! | #210 - Your Guide to All Things Chastity with Mx Tomie | 12 May 2024 | 00:54:20
Yay, I get to be a student again! Excited to bring you all the LAST EPISODE of Season 6! To close things off this season, I bring on NYC-based dominatrix, Mx Tomie, onto the show this week to teach us a little thing or two about chastity. Having gone some new chastity subs and harbouring my own curiosity, I invited Tomie to give us a breakdown on what chastity is, why it might appeal to some folks, and get real nerdy on the details around equipment. Since most of Tomie's clients are cis-het men, we speak primarily on cages designed for penises, the different types of material used on them, comfortability, and general hygiene on how to clean them. Of course, no fetish or kink topic can go on without discussing potential harm and general safety guidelines on how to practice chastity play safely with your clients. We also touch on remote chastity play and her thoughts on that as well as the many questions that Tomie's fans have written in. A thoroughly in-depth episode that barely just skims the surface on the topic of chastity but hopefully provides a great introductory lesson on this fun kink. Mark your calendars: Season 7 drops on Sunday, July 7th, 2024 @ midnight PST. Don't forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW and SUBSCRIBE!

***TRIGGER WARNING: Mentioning of bi erasure, invisibility and biphobia.*** Sorry for the delay on this episode, folks! Been an extremely busy time constantly trying to play catch up and starting to feel a bit of burnout which I need to address. BUT I do have this week’s episode and it’s our very first fan-requested episode! A fan really wanted me to try and get this week’s guest, Amber Stark, on the show and I reached out to her and her manager and voila, an episode was born! It was really great getting to know Amber during our conversation and we speak about her relatively new entry into porn and the pitfalls of entering the porn industry as a student. The main bulk of the episode centers around Amber’s sexuality. Amber identifies as bi, and we discuss her sexuality, what it was like coming out to her close peers and family, and the animosity that comes with her identifying as bi. We speak about all of the bi deniers out there, where it mainly comes from, the dichotomies that are ever-present when speaking about sexuality, and how she copes with it all. Really stoked to bring on cam model, TikToker and YouTuber extraordinaire, Emily Jones, onto the show this week! Emily started off on Cam Soda as a cam model having zero clue on what it was. Soon after, she migrated over to Chaturbate and never looked back! This episode focuses on the virality and success she’s had on TikTok and how we, as SWers, can use that platform to our benefit. As with most mainstream platforms, there are Terms and Services that we must abide by to be allowed on these sites and Emily so graciously shares with us her tips and tricks on how she manages to stay relevant, how to get on the FYP feed, and how she navigates the platform without getting banned. Emily, a seasoned streamer, also is excitingly about to launch her new enterprise, The Streaming Site, which is like Amazon, but she’s done all the heavy lifting for us and has streamlined all the best products and equipment to make your stream a success. | #112 - Virtual Assistants: Why It's Great for SWers, Sex Positive Businesses and Why You Need to Hire One w/ Dabby Longlegs of Living Deliciously Podcast | 27 Mar 2022 | 01:04:27
I've been dying to do an episode on virtual assistants for a while but never got the chance to connect with anyone that was a right fit for the episode...UNTIL NOW. I am extremely pleased to introduce Dabby Longlegs to the podcast this week! Dabby is a multidisciplinary artist and sex worker who, as one of many of the gigs they have, works as a virtual assistant. Having equally worked their fair share in stints in sex work as well as the vanilla world, Dabby stumbled across a TikTok on how to become a virtual assistant. And in the digital world, that's where a lot of work is going! With many sex workers turning their work online, comes with an immense new threshold of mundane work that we just can't manage...which is where virtual assistants come into play. Dabby shows us the ropes when it comes to being a virtual assistant - what tasks are generally expected, what and who they like to look after, and the services they offer. Dabby also so graciously breaks down pricing and rates that they have personally adopted and to give insight on those who are looking for an assistant (including me!). Lastly, we go into the many transferrable skills that sex workers have and why this can be an excellent line of work for those who are choosing to exit the industry. | #109 - Managing Your Finances: Making an Effective Life Plan for SWers with Lindsey Swanson of Stripper Financial Planning | 06 Mar 2022 | 01:09:47
Really excited to bring this week's guest on the show to speak about money management. Sure, we, as sex workers, have the potential to make a lot of money. But what do we do with that? Some of us have short-term goals of buying that purse or pair of shoes we've always dreamed of and some of us have long-term goals like buying our first home or a car. The thought may be daunting whether or not you're in sex work and can overwhelming which is exactly the reason why I invited our guest, Lindsey Swanson of Stripper Financial Planning. Lindsey started her firm, Stripper Financial Planning after getting fed up with the corporate world and really wanting to help people who really needed it. Her goals didn't align with the old school, old boys' style of financial corporations so she left and started her own company. | #209 - The Roots of Feminism and How It's Impacted the Lives of Sex Workers with Dr. Brandy Wiebe | 05 May 2024 | 01:10:53
It's rare that my vanilla world and SW world collide...so you'd best believe I was absolutely thrilled when my colleague and friend, Dr. Brandy Wiebe, pulled me aside at one of our work get-togethers and asked if she could chat with me on the podcast. As a professor at UBC in the Department of Sociology, Brandy is esteemed academic with research specializing in sex, gender and sexuality and feminism. We speak about the history of feminism and how the roots its had in contemporary laws that condemn SW and the impact its had. We discuss the roots of where anti-SW was formed, where it's based and we can kind of see a cyclical repeat happening to our community through general whorephobia. I had such a great conversation with Brandy and we will likely be chatting about this again at our next gettogether! Don't forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW and SUBSCRIBE!

How a random job at a small porn production got Kate hired in Portland, Oregon, working behind the scenes, into her taking her first baby steps in front of the camera. Kate loved it so much that she eventually packed her bags and headed for sunny LA. There, Kate racked up many awards and nominations for her work in porn, slowly rising the ranks in the porn scene until COVID-19 shut her dreams down. Dabbling in stand-up comedy, Kate was able to share her experiences, both good and bad, as a comedy goldmine for material, gracing many of Hollywood’s oldest stand-up stages. It was such a pleasure to have Kate onto the show this week to lighten the load. Be sure to catch her on her various channels – she’s a total gem! | #104 - Embracing Human Touch: Introducing the World of Professional Cuddling w/ Felicity Azura of Pro Cuddle Hustle Podcast | 30 Jan 2022 | 01:13:07
***TRIGGER WARNING: Mention of sexual assault.*** I’ve always been curious about professional cuddling. I had heard of the service years ago but never knew of anyone that offered it…until now. I’m so excited to bring on and introduce Felicity Azura of the Pro Cuddle Hustle Podcast onto the show this week! I know Felicity through Twitter and this outspoken sex worker speaks of her quick entry point into sex work. We go on about what professional cuddling entails, whether or not it can be considered as sex work and the hurdles she goes through by offering this type of body work. Felicity also goes over the different cuddling website platforms out there, how they may or may not appear to be as sex worker-friendly as they seem, and we also go over the not-so-nice things that come with this line of work. It was a fascinating conversation and a sneak peak into this very niche corner of sex work. Don’t forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW and SUBCRIBE!!!
| #103 - The Boobs, the Brains and the Business: Running a Strip Club in 2022 w/ Jade of Shakerz Show Lounge | 23 Jan 2022 | 01:24:26 | |
I've given a fair bit of time dedicated to dancers in strip clubs on the show because hey, that's where I spend a lot of my time! But we also need to take a look at another angle: what is it like to run a strip club? How do you navigate operations during a pandemic? How do you keep the staff, patrons and the dancers safe? What are the challenges that we face in a time when strip clubs are closing down right, left and center? I couldn't think of a better guest to bring on than Jade, owner-operator of Shakerz Show Lounge based in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Jade speaks about her she found herself at the club - turns out it was a family affair! Starting with her grandma, she goes into the history of the club, where its roots grew and how it looks today. She talks about the struggles she's had trying to create an environment, enjoyable and employable atmosphere whilst instilling her family values in how she runs the club. We also speak about what it's like to be a woman owner in a sea of male owners and management that's littered throughout the industry. It's a jam-packed episode with Jade who is full of meaningful insight. PS. Shakerz Show Lounge has finished its renovations and is currently OPEN for business! | #102 - Scam, Scamming, Scammer, Scammed w/ Alexis | 16 Jan 2022 | 01:01:08
***TRIGGER WARNING: Mention of rape and substance use and addiction.*** This week, I am joined by former FSSWer, Alexis, who heard my recent AMA which resonated hard with her on getting scammed that we connected shortly after and just had to do an episode together! I had originally planned to do an episode dedicated to scamming back in Season 3 which didn’t work out so I am thrilled to have Alexis on to speak about this. Scamming. We’ve all been there. Didn’t get the money upfront? Scammed. Picture didn’t match his profile? Scammed. Client left you high and dry with something other than the money promised? Scammed. It’s shitty when it happens but hopefully – just hopefully – we all learn our lessons after. But when we bring up the topic of scamming, it’s hard to ignore that sometimes, we, as SWers, scam our clients. I really think it’s important to mention the intent and motive here for context because hey, it’s our job to provide services rendered for our clients in exchange for payment but some honesty may be lacking here when it comes to questionable work ethic. And let’s not forget the unfortunate attacks that may happen from within our community. I hate to mention it but I’d be doing my own podcast a disservice if we don’t mention the whorearchy and the danger behind other SWers attempting to scam other SWers and the attempts of pimping that sometime happen in our industry. There’s shame and there’s plenty of stigma, but we’re here to have a transparent discussion about it. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the episode. As Alexis is no longer an active SWer, she would like to hear your thoughts! To respect her privacy, please kindly DM me and I would be happy to connect you with Alexis. | #101 - The Gig Economy and Advocating for Strippers' Labour Rights w/ Reese Piper | 03 Jan 2022 | 00:59:46
I'm back, baby! Sorry for the tardiness this and last week - I am FINALLY back on Canadian soil and I am beyond excited to kick off Season 4! Again, very rarely do I ever bring back guests onto the show but you all loved Reese Piper back in Season 3 when she spoke abut autism and sex work that I had to bring her on for round 2! As a former stripper, Reese brings to the table a plethora of experience to share with us. The focal point of this episode would centre around her passion for advocating for strippers' labour rights. After experience raids in the strip clubs in the USA and witnessing so many of her peers face and succumb to exploitation tactics of owners and poor management, she got curious about the very little we may or may not know about our labour rights as independent contractors. Tired of hearing of fellow dancers get attacked, stalked and even murdered, Reese brought it upon herself to help educate her dancer colleagues and because this is such an important topic to talk about, I had have her back on the show to give us a lesson in labour rights 101. | #99 – Should I Stay or Should I Go? Agency Work vs. Going Indy w/ Elizabeth Weisz | 19 Dec 2021 | 01:25:09
I’ve been waiting SO LONG to bring this guest onto the show and having had some comments and curiosities surrounding the agency side of full service work, I think it was about time to bring our guest on. I am so excited to finally bring on Elizabeth Weisz onto the show this week. Elizabeth is a companion currently (at the time of recording) based in Ottawa, Canada who has been so generous to share her experience on working in escort agencies and how she finally came to the decision to go “indy”, or independent. Yes, we’ve heard of the horror stories of working in agencies but Elizabeth also speaks about the positives. She also shares about the “bait”-style agencies which, when she explains it, almost sounds a bit like a catfish situation for clients, and safety and security measures (are there any?) that agencies claim that they offer. She speaks about her challenging time transitioning from working in an agency and getting her foot started as an independent escort which she couldn’t have done without help from the collectives – something that I had no idea even existed! Elizabeth is simply just a wealth of knowledge, intelligent and extremely personable. You don’t want to miss the penultimate episode of Season 3! | #208 - The Parallels of Queer Rights and Sex Worker Rights with Sinn Sage of Sage Advice | 28 Apr 2024 | 01:18:34
I was really stoked when Sinn Sage of Sage Advice Podcast messaged me that she'd like to come onto the podcast. Sinn is a veteran of our industry, a podcaster like myself, an intellectual, an advocate. She does so much in and for the industry that I was honoured that she wanted to speak her truth on the podcast. We speak about the intersectionality of queer rights and SWer rights and how closely related they have been. The crusade against queer and trans folks is eerily similar to the witch-hunt that is also happening to SWers. We look back on history and compare to what's happening in this current day and age. I shared such an incredible conversation with Sinn and we hope that you enjoy the episode as much as we did recording it! Don't forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW and SUBSCRIBE!

| #98 – The Misconceptions Behind Nude Life Art Modeling w/ Marcel Canuck | 12 Dec 2021 | 00:53:27 | |
I am so thrilled to be doing my first in-person interview in a year and a half! I am absolutely ecstatic to bring on my friend and student, Marcel Canuck, onto the show this week as we go a little left field (as I always love to do!) as we speak about life art modeling. Marcel is a longtime life art model who has modeled all over North American and Europe. He brings to the show his years of experience as a model, most commonly asked questions and of course, misconceptions about what life art modeling is. If you aren’t aware, life art modelig is nude modeling. It’s an expressive art form used in visual effects schools to learn how the body moves and to better understand how to demonstrate mobility onscreen. Because of the nature of the job, Marcel is often subjected to misogynistic comments, unsolicited dick pics and assumptions that surrounds this type of art. Did you know how un-erotic this type of art is and how physical this profession is? We also discuss the shame and stigma of the naked body in the North American context, dealing with stalkers and online harassment, and how to get started as a model. | #97 - Pimped: A Story of Manipulation, Power, Control, Abuse and Sex w/ Cougar Nikki | 05 Dec 2021 | 01:28:34
***TRIGGER WARNING – Mention of sexual assault, substance abuse, physical abuse, pimps.*** Huge episode this week. It’s been a while since we’ve had a long-form episode on the podcast, eh? Well, this week is certainly deserving of the length as it is a fascinating and heartbreaking episode that I have had the pleasure to share. I speak with fellow full service sex worker, Cougar Nikki, this week on the podcast to tell us her story on how she was pimped as a young teenager and then trafficked across Canada by her pimps. She tells us of her backstory, how she ended up on the “tracks” of Winnipeg, Canada, the emotional and physical abuse she’s had to endure, the manipulation tactics of her pimps, the power of control, and how she was able to finally get out. Nikki’s story, which occurred in her teenage years during the 90s, is a riveting one, eye-opening, and a different landscape compared to how it is now. It’s a longer episode but well-worth the listen! Please note that a number of names and affiliations were censored in this episode due to protection and to ensure anonymity as Nikki’s former pimps are still around, to her knowledge. Please excuse the number of censored beeps in this episode. Resources:

| #96 - Human Trafficking: What It Can Really Look Like w/ Brandi Wood | 28 Nov 2021 | 01:09:35 | |
***TRIGGER WARNING: Human trafficking*** This week, I sit down with full service sex worker, Brandi Wood, whom I connected with recently to touch base on the topic of human trafficking. Often times, when we think of somebody being trafficked, images of children in Southeast Asian with older men might come to mind, or perhaps images of Eastern European or Asian women may flash through your head. These are images that are fed to us through mass media. I, too, fell prey to this and I am still working on unwiring my brain to think differently because I was able to sit down with someone who was trafficked as a teen. My guest this week, Brandi Wood, was trafficked as a teenager. She was introduced to an opportunity "to make some money" by one of her family members, another victim of trafficking, and it wasn't until very recently that Brandi even realized that she was trafficked. She was made to work in a massage parlour in Buffalo, NY. Although the working conditions were described as safe, Brandi had no idea that she was being trafficked into the sex trade. Human trafficking can take form in many different ways and this is just one of them. Thank you so much, Brandi, for coming out the show and sharing your story. | #95 – Decriminalization: Is the New Zealand Model the Ideal Model to Protect Sex Workers? w/ Vixen Temple | 21 Nov 2021 | 01:00:37
We all dream about decriminalization (atleast here in North America and in other parts of the world)! It seems like a dream for many countries as sex workers are a widely marginalized and unprotected group by most governments. There is only one country in the world where sex work is decriminalized and that is New Zealand. I invite the ever-so-knowedgeable, Vixen Temple, a sex worker based in Aotearoa, New Zealand, onto the podcast this week to speak about the decriminalization of sex work in her country, sometimes known as the New Zealand model. We speak about how this decision came to be, the history behind it, who is affected and who the law covers and protects, mandatory condom use, if charges can be laid and be upheld and to whom and how this model could be applied in other countries. Vixen is an exceptionally-talented human being, activist, performance artist and of course, sex worker, and shares so much of her knowledge and expertise on this week’s episode. | #94 - Privilege in Sex Work w/ Jessie Sage of the On the Whoreizon Podcast | 14 Nov 2021 | 01:17:42
It’s time to have a conversation about privilege within our community. What does that mean to you? What does that mean? It’s such a huge and hot topic within our industry that people either love or loathe talking about but after a brief tweet went viral, I’m here to start a discussion about it. I am joined by Jessie Sage of On the Whoreizon who I’ve had on the show before (go check out Episode 71!) to help me tackle this behemoth of a topic. We do our best in addressing our own privileges – being white, being cis, being educated, the ability to hold a civ job, being in North America – as we try to untangle what privilege can mean to so many in our community. I was so wrong with when I said that face out could be seen as a privilege and was presented with varying situations where it was out of their control and not their choice. We speak about the challenges of varying dichotomies of being face in vs. face out, contact vs. non-contact work, virtual vs. in-person work, thin vs. fat bodies, white vs. POC, heterosexual vs. LGBTQIA2S+, regionality, experience vs. inexperience. We barely even scratched the surface. An hour just isn’t long enough to fully dissect privilege but alteast we have gotten a conversation going. A big thank you to those who contributed to the show via voice memos. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and stories. Voice memos:

| BONUS - Stripping Down the Sex Industry (Virtually LIVE from Florida State University) | 31 Oct 2021 | 01:10:15 | |
Hi folks! I’ve just recently come back from a much-needed vacation and have been busy catching up with work here this week. I also was invited to speak, yet again, at Florida State University in one of their Human Sexuality classes (thanks again, Alicia!). I thought this would be a great opportunity to share a little bit about myself (especially if you’re brand new here), to provide insight to these students, some of whom who have never spoken to a sex worker or don’t even know or realize what sex work entails, and to give a real-life account on our lives. I speak about the current landscape that us sex workers live in including laws that affect us, recent ongoing issues like labour rights, organizing in unions and the OnlyFans scandal and answer all of the student questions that I could within our alotted time slot. I was a great conversation to be had and although I was extremely tired (not my best speaking gig!), I feel incredibly humbled to be given this space to educate and spread the word. | #92 - The War on Pornography: Fear Mongering, Sex Education and the Role of Schools and Parenting w/ Carlie McPhee | 24 Oct 2021 | 01:09:28
***TW: mention of sexual assault in this episode.*** We're taking a bit of a turn this week as I excitedly bring on my colleague from one of my vanilla gigs, Carlie McPhee, a sexual health educator based in Vancouver, Canada to speak to us about the so-called effects of pornography on children. We analyze the newly-released documentary, "Raised on Porn", as requested by one of you listeners (thanks @gallegosmash!). He wanted to know if this film was based on factual merit or evidentiary research or if it was sensationalism at its finest. If you've been a long-time listener of the show, you may know that us sex workers get the brunt end of stigmatization, tasteless jokes, the short end of the stick when it comes to policy and acknowledgement, and the list can go on. I bring on Carlie this week to dissect the unintentional role pornography plays in kids' lives when growing up: as a sexual education tool. We also discuss sexual health education in schools and at home and discuss where the responsibility should lie amongst our kids and youth. With porn being so accessible nowadays, where does it belong? What should we do about it? Share your thoughts with us! Don't forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW and SUBSCRIBE!
| #91 - Sexting: Sensual Communication for your Partner and Clients w/ Elizabeth Dell of Amorus | 17 Oct 2021 | 01:13:14 | |
Very excited for the episode this week! I bring on Elizabeth Dell of Amorus, a partner intimacy app and we speak about sexting, the importance of the essentials of communication and startups. We speak about communication and how that is so key in any relationship, working, romantic or otherwise. We delve further into communication and into the niche category of sexting - best practices on how to sext, tips and tricks and scenarios that may be useful. We then get into talking about Elizabeth's new intimacy app, Amorus, and how it can be used as a valuable resource to strengthen partnerships, increase intimacy and even be used in provider and client relationships. | #90 - The Black Male Experience on Escorting, Porn, Music and Journalism w/ Malcolm Lovejoy | 10 Oct 2021 | 01:12:25
I catch up with Malcolm Lovejoy, a fellow sex worker whom I’ve connected with on Twitter recently, to bring him onto the show to speak about a plethora of topics today in relation to sex work. Malcolm has juggled some very successful careers, both in journalism and in the music industry (you may know him as Mindbender Supreme!). Soon, he was writing pieces on activism and the injustices in the world both in his journalistic career and in his music but a lightbulb went off his brain: how can I write and preach about this stuff but not be fully immersed in it? It was at that point he made the career jump into sex work. Malcolm works and creates pornographic content and works in the Toronto area as a male service provider. We speak about each of these avenues and introduce and tackle the topics of his identity, Black masculinity, double standards and so much more. Listen in to this fun episode – it was a great conversation to be had.

| #89 - Taking the “Revenge” Out of Revenge Porn w/ Erika Smith of Take Back the Tech | 03 Oct 2021 | 01:13:39 | |
***TRIGGER WARNING: Mention of rape and sexual assault in this episode.*** Such a juicy topic today and one that I have literally been DYING to report on forever. This week we discuss “revenge porn”. It’s a term that you’re likely familiar with but we actually don’t call it that anymore. Gender-based internet violence or non-consensual image distribution is the correct term that we are using to describe it nowadays and I bring on Erika Smith of Take Back the Tech, a global organization working end violence against women (especially harms that are conducted online!), reporting in from Mexico to teach us all a lesson today on what is popularly known as “revenge porn”. There are so many different types of gender based internet violence which we discuss in depth during our time together. We speak about on who it targets, how images or videos may be distributed, how it affects sex workers and what we can to get our content off and how we, as allies, can help.

| #88 - When True Crime Meets Stripping: A Story of Obsession, Misogyny, and Murder w/ Adam Heath Avitable of The Angel at the Starlite Motel | 26 Sep 2021 | 01:06:01 | |
We are going a little left field this week as I invite my guest, Adam Heath Avitable of The Angel at the Starlite Motel and Dating Kinda Sucks podcasts onto the show. Even if you haven’t heard or listened to Adam’s podcasts, we dive deep into troubling intersectionalities that need to be discussed in sex work: misogyny, obsession, underage prostitution, stereotypes and stigmatization which all contribute to how sex work is seen in a negative light. Adam’s podcast, Angel at the Starlite Motel, tells the story of a dancer, Mandi May Jackson, and a client who was obsessed with her. After being tangled up in the murder of her former boss, strip club owner, James Mulrenin, her client, who only goes by the name of David, wrote a book dedicated to proving her innocence which Adam reads excerpts from every week with commentary. Adam, a self-described “reformed misogynist” and I discuss the problematic, and sometimes dangerous, concoction of money, obsession, drugs and sex and how it can entangle you in areas you wish you never would want to be. | #87 - The Art of Humiliation, Ethical Domination and Slavework w/ Miss Quail Avara | 19 Sep 2021 | 01:16:15
Because you all LOVE learning about dominatrices and the kink and fetish life, I just had to bring another one on this week! I am so excited to bring on Miss Quail Avara onto the show this week. She is a dominatrix hailing from Georgia, USA who I had the opportunity to connect with over a recent episode that was recorded previously. We speak about about virtual domming, busting myths about what we stereotypically know about doms, and at what point does domming cross the line. We also learn about what is expected out of a responsible dom and how it goes hand-in-hand with fetish and kink work. We also delightfully discuss how her and her “husboy” met (who I mention was her former slave!), how that relationship grew and what the past and current slave/dom dynamics work in her household. Last but not least, Quail doesn’t hold back on her hate for OnlyFans and expresses her love for AVN Stars. Amidst everything that’s been going on, it sounds like a great option if you haven’t diversified already! Don’t forget to LIKE, RATE, SHARE, REVIEW, and SUBSCRIBE!
| #86 – Livestreaming on Twitch: Talking Influencers, Affiliate Status and Growing Your Brand w/ Chloe | 12 Sep 2021 | 01:08:46 | |
So excited to bring on my friend, Chloe, who I’ve seen just SKYROCKET over the pandemic on the livestreaming platform, Twitch. We learn about her story, how she got started, and how playing videogames became her new gig. Her transformation from gamer to lifestyle streamer has been an admirable journey. Chloe, or as her fans like to call her, “Coco”, has catapulted her livestreaming career on the platform and has reached Affiliate status. So how does this all play into sex work? Well, we discuss the similarities of camming and livestreaming, the type of content she creates in her livestreams, giving into fan requests, collaborating with other creators, and dealing with problematic viewers. Fair warning – Twitch has very strict rules when it comes to nudity and sexual content and Chloe explains it all in detail so you don’t have to. Ever thinking about getting into camwork but want an alternative? If it fits your brand, this might be the platform for you to dabble in.
