Richard Garnett: Eternal Treasure
15 sept. 2024
00:21:14
We were due to film with the remarkable Richard Garnett this week. Very sadly, Richard passed away a few days ago.
As a team, we've been incredibly blessed by the research and preparation we were able to do for this shoot. Richard had a rare and profound insight into how God desires for us to view our finances, after practicing decades of sacrificial giving. This video was filmed last year and not only captures the testimony of a man joyfully surrendered to God, but also illuminates the importance of thoughtfully stewarding what we've been entrusted with.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and all who knew him. We are praying that the God of all comfort will be near, and that the ache of his absence will remind you of the love shared—a love that, before long, will be joyfully reunited.
With thanks to The Maclellan Foundation for giving access to this recording.

Amanda Cook shares openly about the riskiness of hope, how grief is proof of love, how it’s human to feel disappointment, and how God shows up for us when we are at the end of ourselves. She also shares how music was a personal way to self-regulate and meet with God and the difficulty of such a private practice becoming a stage-oriented career.
Amanda Cook is a Canadian writer and musician based in LA. She is best known for writing worship songs such as “You Make Me Brave” and “Extravagant.” Her recent solo albums, House on a Hill and State of Union, explore themes of grief, doubt and faith, while her 2023 EP, Survey: Part 1, delves into her journey of discovering what remains when everything is stripped away. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
