| Storme Diaries - Rob Swaine Ep. 14 | 18 Aug 2026 | 00:55:44 | |
Welcome back to Storme Diaries 🤍 This week's episode is a conversation full of honesty, openness and real conversations about parenthood, relationships, health and life as a dad with my 14th guest, Rob Swaine. Rob is a coach, dad and someone who isn't afraid to speak openly about his experiences. In this episode, we talk about the reality of parenting, the fact that there is no manual for raising children, and how every stage brings its own challenges. Rob opens up about his wife's pregnancy and birth experiences, including their journey through IVF to have their first child. We also talk about their second child being naturally conceived as a surprise, and how he was born on the exact day they moved into their new house. We talk about the reality of having a threenager and a terrible two, the highs and lows of raising young children and why parenting can be completely relentless. One conversation I particularly loved was around the role of dads at home. Rob shares his thoughts on why men absolutely can — and should — help with the housework, and why being a stay-at-home mum is a full-time job that deserves far more recognition. We talk about how important it is for mums to have a break, ask for help and remember that looking after the children all day is hard work. Rob also talks about his coaching business and his own approach to health, fitness and feeling good, rather than simply focusing on how you look. We get into some of the biggest conversations happening in the health and fitness world right now, including peptides and weight-loss injections, Rob's thoughts on them, and the importance of understanding your health rather than simply chasing a number on the scales. As always, no Storme Diaries episode would be complete without talking about everything in between. We dive into parenting, IVF, pregnancy, birth, marriage, fatherhood, health, fitness, body image, relationships, supporting your partner and the everyday challenges that come with raising children. This episode is honest, relatable and refreshingly real. Rob brings a dad's perspective to conversations that often focus heavily on mums, and reminds us that there really is no perfect way to do this parenting thing. ✨ In this episode we discuss: • The reality of parenting when there is no manual This conversation is full of honesty, vulnerability and important conversations. Whether you're a parent, going through IVF, navigating the toddler years, a stay-at-home mum, a dad trying to find your feet, or simply interested in health and fitness, I think there will be something in this episode for you. | Storme Diaries - Hollie Dowding Ep. 13 | 11 Aug 2026 | 01:34:59
Welcome back to Storme Diaries 🤍 ⚠️ Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussions around domestic abuse, violence, cancer and serious illness. Please listen with care. 🤍 This week's episode is an incredibly powerful, honest and emotional conversation with my 13th guest, the amazing Hollie Dowding. Hollie is a mum of two, business owner and advocate for domestic abuse awareness. Throughout this conversation, she opens up about some of the most difficult experiences of her life, but also how she has turned so much of that pain into something incredibly powerful to help other women. Hollie talks about her two children and what co-parenting with two different dads looks like for her. She shares the story of her first partner going to prison when her baby was just six months old and the challenges that came with navigating motherhood through such a difficult time. We also talk about Hollie's family and the devastating news her mum received when she was diagnosed with cancer. Hollie shares how her mum got up every single day, told herself she was healed and whole, and continued to live her life with incredible strength. Her mum is now 10 years all clear, which makes this part of the conversation incredibly special. Hollie also opens up about her dad's health journey, including undergoing two kidney transplants, and the impact his health challenges had on their family. Alongside all of this, we talk about Hollie's career journey, her clothing business, network marketing and the different paths she has taken to build a life and career around her family. But one of the biggest parts of this conversation is Hollie's experience of domestic abuse. She bravely opens up about the relationship that became abusive, the control and violence she experienced, and ultimately how she found the strength to put her abuser in prison. What I found so incredibly inspiring about Hollie's story is what she has done with something so traumatic. She has taken one of the darkest chapters of her life and turned it into something so powerful, using her experience to help, educate and support other women. Hollie has since created House of Her, a free, trauma-informed hub designed to support women navigating domestic abuse — whether they're questioning their relationship, planning to leave or rebuilding their lives afterwards. As always, no Storme Diaries conversation would be complete without talking about everything in between. We dive into motherhood, co-parenting, family, business, resilience, relationships, healing, domestic abuse and finding the strength to rebuild your life after trauma. This episode is raw, emotional, honest and incredibly inspiring. Hollie's story is a reminder that the things we've been through don't have to define us — sometimes they can become the very thing that gives us the strength to help someone else. This conversation is filled with vulnerability, strength, honesty and so many important conversations that need to be heard. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, Hollie has created House of Her to help women navigate their journey, whether they're questioning their relationship, planning to leave or rebuilding their lives afterwards. You can find Hollie on Instagram and TikTok at @holliedowdingx and follow her domestic abuse awareness platform @houseofher__. You can also find House of Her at www.houseofherhub.com. Sian is a lash artist, mum of two and someone who isn't afraid to speak her mind. From becoming a mum at just 17 to navigating motherhood and raising children in today's world, this episode covers so many important conversations whilst still being full of humour. Sian shares what it was like having her first baby at 17 and why she had to fight to have the home birth she knew she wanted. Matt's daughter, Sammy Jo, sadly passed away at just 29 years old after her breast cancer returned and became terminal. | Storme Diaries - Dean & Michelle Ep. 6 | 23 Jun 2026 | 01:51:17
Welcome back to Storme Diaries 🤍 This week's episode is one that will stay with you long after you've finished listening. I sit down with the incredible Dean and Michelle, a couple whose story is filled with love, heartbreak, resilience and hope. Their journey together hasn't always been easy, but through some of life's darkest moments, they found a way to come through stronger than ever. We talk openly about addiction, the devastating impact it can have on relationships and family life, and the reality of loving someone who is battling their own demons. Dean bravely shares his experience with drug addiction, the choices he made, the consequences that followed, and the life-changing moment that forced him to look at everything differently. At the heart of this conversation is Michelle's story too. The woman who stood by the man she loved through the highs and the lows. The woman who supported, protected and fought for her family when it mattered most. Michelle opens up about the difficult reality of loving someone with an addiction, the fine line between helping and enabling, and finding the strength to put herself and her children first. Together, they share the heartbreaking loss of their unborn baby, a moment that changed their lives forever. Whilst no loss can ever be justified, Dean reflects on how this tragedy became the turning point that made him realise the true value of life and gave him the strength to walk away from addiction for good. This is a story about second chances. A story about grief, forgiveness and growth. A story about what happens when two people refuse to give up on themselves, their family and each other. Most importantly, it's a reminder that no matter how dark life may feel, there is always hope. And for the first time ever on Storme Diaries, my husband John makes a special appearance as we take on our very first "all couples" episode. Whilst Dean and Michelle share their incredible journey, John joins the conversation from the husband's perspective... although it wouldn't be a proper family podcast without a little chaos. Keep an ear out for the unexpected technical interruption when John's nan decides to call him around ten minutes into the recording – proving that no matter how deep the conversation gets, family always finds a way to make an appearance too! 🤍 ✨ In this episode we discuss: * Falling in love and building a life together * Drug addiction and its impact on family life * The challenges of loving someone through addiction * The difference between supporting and enabling * The heartbreaking loss of an unborn baby * Turning pain into purpose * Recovery, healing and personal growth * Finding strength through adversity * Protecting your children during difficult times * Rebuilding trust and relationships * The power of forgiveness * Navigating life as a couple through challenging seasons * Why true love is sometimes choosing not to give up This conversation made me laugh, cry and reflect on just how powerful the human spirit can be. Dean and Michelle's story is proof that even when life throws its hardest challenges your way, healing is possible, change is possible, and love really can overcome more than we ever imagine.
