Our inaugural episode features Mark Etzel’s interview with his father, Tom Etzel. Tom is analtruist and philanthropist and the author of the book, Within Our Grasp: Changing Ourselvesand the World. Tom’s niece, Katie McCloskey, and his high-school friend and classmate, Ken Waldie, were killed on 9/11. In the aftermath of this tragedy, Tom channeled his grief into action. Taking a profound leap of faith, he was able to walk the path of healing and compassion and work to change the lives of children and youth all over the world. He is the founder and executive director of the Global Peace Building Foundation (GPBF), a nonprofit organization that empowers young people to become positive change makers in their communities.
