Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 Episodes 9 and 10: The Devourer of All Things Parts I and II. You are in for a treat in these two episodes as we learn the identity of the secret benefactor (guest Will Wheaton) and we get an explanation of what is going on with the timeline. And as an added bonus, Action Janeway turns up to kick butts and take names.

We finally learn the identity of the person who has been helping us and it's not entirely a surprise, but it is a lot of fun. Wesley Crusher is here to save the timeline (and his mom) but he is a little bit wacky and can't quite keep his mind on one thing at a time. There is a lot of action in these episodes as we meet the very unpleasant and unforgiving Loom. Wesley tries to save the crew from the time scavengers but when they get backed into a corner, it's Action Janeway to the rescue when the tank top and the phaser rifle come out!

Today's lesson: tank top Janeway is the best Janeway.

Our kid correspondent Maahi is here with an update toward the end of the pod. Hear what she has to say about her first introduction to Wesley Crusher.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 Episodes 7 and 8: The Fast and the Curious and Is There in Beauty No Truth. In these episodes we run into an evil computer in the first episode and some mysterious non corporeal beings in the second. Neither maybe has our crew's best interest at heart!

In episode 7 we run into some old villains in the Kazon, but not everything is as it seems. The same holds true in episode 8 when we find a planet of non corporeal beings that are maybe keeping a secret of their own. In the first episode, Dal and Gwyn get into a little race for freedom while in the second episode Zero makes some new friends and experiences some new sensations.

Today's lesson: ask more questions.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 16: Preludes. In this episode we learn a bit more about our main characters and Janeway is rudely introduced to a naked Drednok and the Diviner.

This week the crew is working on fixing the Protostar while safely tucked into the Neutral Zone. We get some flashbacks to fill in some of the gaps in the history of Zero, Rok and Jankom Pog. Meanwhile back on the Dauntless, Janeway walks in on a secret meeting between Drednok, the Diviner and the Vindicator (previously known as Ensign Tahani).

We had a few people ask just who the heck is Ensign Tahani and it's just Kim borrowing the name of a previous character portrayed by Jameela Jamil. But now with a name like THE VINDICATOR, we might actually start calling her by her real name on the show. Don't count on it, though.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 15: Masquerade. In this episode we are in for some very big reveals. Brace yourself as the crew visits a shady star port in the Neutral Zone and we are going to see behind a few masks. (Why are they listening to Okona?)

This week the crew stops off at The Noble Isle star port to try and obtain spare parts for their damaged ship. While there, they visit a shady geneticist named Dr. Jago who has some important info to reveal about Dal's origins. Meanwhile, the Romulans are sneaking onto the Protostar to try and take possession of Starfleet's ship! But that's not the end of the surprises in this episode!

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 14: Crossroads. In this episode the Protostar crew accidentally bumps into the real Vice Admiral Janeway and that leads to a lot of action.

This week the crew actually makes a pretty decent plan, but it goes horribly wrong when Barnis Frex (remember him?) turns up in an unexpected place. Dal nearly gets the important message to Vice Admiral Janeway before everything falls apart and they end up being chased by the Dauntless. It's an exciting action-packed episode with a big cliff hanger!

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 13: All the World's a Stage. In this episode the Protostar answers a distress call which lands them on a planet full of people who have incorporated Starfleet into their lives...only it's not exactly right. The colors are wrong, the uniforms are badly stitched together and everything is a bit primitive.

This week the crew finds a small colony of quirky green-faced aliens who have spent over 100 years passing down the stories of a Starfleet Ensign who crash landed on their planet. Everything is just slightly off as they talk about StarFlight, JamesT, Sprok and Huur'A and they can't quite get the Vulcan greeting down. They seem friendly enough but somehow they've gotten their hands on a Starfleet phaser and communicator. This seems like a prime directive conundrum!

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 12: Let Sleeping Borg Lie. In this episode, our crew bumps into one of the scariest alien enemies in Trek history! Yep, time to deal with those crazy leather-clad drones flying around in a square space ship! Look out kids, it's the Borg (no, they are not Swedish)!

This week we bump into a dormant Borg ship and rather than do the sensible thing and run away, we decide to pay it a visit! BAD DECISION! Not only do we nearly all get assimilated, but we also nearly hand over our newly discovered weapon the living construct! Hopefully if nothing else, we have learned an important lesson: ALWAYS LISTEN TO JANEWAY.

And also, don't be a Borg.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 11: Asylum. Season 1 continues in this action-packed episode where the crew seeks asylum on a remote Starfleet Comm Station manned by a single officer. You know this isn't going to be as easy as our crew hopes.

In this week's episode, the Protostar approaches a deep space communication relay station named CR-721. The lone crew person Lt Jr Grade Barniss Frex is very friendly until he scans the Protostar and the Diviner's secret weapon kicks into overdrive. Now the crew must scramble just to survive as the station begins to tear itself apart.

No Caitian to save in this episode, but plenty of Janeway (real and holo) and even a little nod to the Voyager theme song for the geeks (like us).

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 10: A Moral Star, Part 2. This is the second of a two-parter which feels like the end of season 1, but apparently it's actually a mid-season break that will lead us into 10 more episodes later this year. Either way, it was a big flourish of an ending with so many exciting things to discuss. If for some reason you haven't watched it, YOU MUST. Get thee to a streaming device post haste! That was weird, I don't know why I said that.

In this week's episode, we learn so many things! We learn that the crew was prepared for this entire eventuality and they are ready to get the miners/prisoners off the asteroid and take back their ship. Gwyn and Hologram Janeway were ready for the possibility of the Diviner trying to reprogram Janeway. But what we weren't ready for was the reason behind all of this. We finally get some answers of how we ended up here. This is a must watch episode with some real surprises and a bonus for Trek fans at the end.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 9: A Moral Star. This is the first of a two-parter taking us into the end of Season 1 already! This week the crew heads back to their prison on Tars Lamora to make a deal with the Diviner. We've got secret plans, a cute pink cat, new Starfleet Uniforms and Kim shouting JERKS at the TV. Listen in to our discussion!

In this week's episode, the crew gets a threatening message from the Diviner. He threatens all of the lives of the unwanted in exchange for his precious Protostar. So the team montages their way through a secret plan and then heads back to the mines. But when they arrive, the Diviner immediately changes the terms of the deal and everything starts to go haywire....but wait....our crew isn't quite as naïve as they were a few episodes ago!
