A life of adventure:

As a boy, living among the Indians of New Mexico, Bob learned early to follow the old ways of the Navajos and Pueblos. Their teaching about how Great Spirit moves in all things eventually helped him survive poverty, street gangs of housing projects and the fists of his drunken stepfather. His understanding of that truth galvanized in him the clarity, courage and confidence to become efficient in the uplifting and enriching of lives around the world. Bob Trask’s life has been one of constant adventure, accomplishment and self-discovery. His multiple careers, starting at age 12 have each taught and molded his thinking.

In 1976, as a Master Sea Captain, he brought his vessel and passengers safely through a deadly hurricane and this event became a catalyst in discovering his life’s purpose in helping uplift and enrich the lives of others through their understanding of their spiritual power.

In 1979 Bob created the non-profit ARAS Foundation. Under that umbrella he, his wife Mary Trask and their team have fed and clothed thousands of poor and homeless families, sent more than 6000 bicycles to African villages and regularly support orphanages, children’s hospitals and other excellent organizations.

Bob Trask has four successful books: Living Free in English, Spanish and Portuguese; God’s Phone Number in English and Portuguese, Romancing the Soul in Japanese and English and Tulipp The Layman’s Guide to Emergency Medical Rescue in English. And ready for publication are three new works: the children’s series: Tales from the Great Meadow, the instructive: The Be, Do, Have Triangle, and the novel: Night Lady.

To date, Bob has designed and taught personal success programs to hundreds of thousands in thirteen countries and now brings his expertise and experience to his role as minister of Unity Spiritual Center.

Interview With International Medium Tony Stockwell

Joining Cynthia Rose on the show this week is Tony Stockwell. What a treat to have him join the show. He is a busy man and I’m grateful he’s made time for this show interview.. We will talk about mediumship and no doubt it will be uplifting, thought provoking and insightful.

Tony Stockwell is an international Psychic Medium, Author, Teacher and Speaker with a career spanning 30 years.

He is a CERTIFICATE holder of the SPIRITUALIST NATIONAL UNION award (CSNU) in Teaching, Demonstrating and Speaking, a recognition he is very proud of after examinations and assessments by the Spiritualists National Union.

Even as a child Tony knew he was different from other children. From an early age he was aware of seeing people before him that others could not see. It was common for him to hear his name being called by someone unseen, and also common for him to be aware of events before they actually happened. To him, all this was perfectly normal.

Born in the East End of London and part of a close, extended family, much of Tony’s early childhood was the same as any other. All through his early school years and into teenage hood the most amazing paranormal events happened to, and around, Tony.

When he was 16 years old he was invited by a friend to attend a local Spiritualist church to observe a Medium work and from the minute he set foot inside the door he knew this was what he wanted to do with his life and what was expected of him. This was the beginning of Tony’s journey to becoming one of the country’s most well-known and respected Psychic Mediums.

Elephant In My Kitchen with Francoise Malby Anthony

Francoise joins me on the show today from South Africa. We will talk about her continued efforts at Thula Thula and her upcoming book and of course the elephants!

Francoise was born in the south of France and after her studies in business administration at the University of Montpellier lived in Italy, Venezuela, London and the USA before moving to Paris in 1981. Francoise worked as head of the international department of a Chamber of Commerce in the north of France until she met her future husband Lawrence Anthony in London in January 1987 and they moved to South Africa in December 1987. Lawrence and Francoise were based in Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal.

In 1998, Lawrence and Francoise bought a rundown hunting game reserve in the heart of Zululand. After Lawrence wrote the best seller “The Elephant Whisperer” in 2010, the emotional story of how he saved a herd of wild elephants from death by rescuing them at Thula Thula Game reserve and bringing trust into humans for the first time, he became recognised as an international best-selling author and conservationist.

Lawrence passed away on the 2nd of March 2012 from a heart attack. Francoise carries on his conservation work at Thula Thula game reserve as well as the running of both lodges. In August 2012 she created the Thula Thula Rhino Fund, after one of her orphan rhinos were shot at by poachers just 2 weeks after Lawrence passed. The Rhino Fund initiated several projects aimed at the protection of the rhinos and the creation of a Rhino rehabilitation centre for rhinos who have been orphaned from poaching. In 2016, Francoise founded the South African Conservation Fund, Thula Thula non-profit organisation, which incorporated the Rhino fund and wildlife protection actions, as well other conservation projects as the expansion of Thula Thula for the elephant habitat, as the herd from seven elephants on their arrival in 1999 is now twenty nine and they are in great need of additional space, the Thula Thula Wildlife rehabilitation centre where orphans or wounded wildlife is being taken care of before being rehabilitated into the wild where they belong, and the Thula Thula Volunteers Academy, where people from all over the world come to work and be educated into the world of conservation in an African game reserve. The volunteers Camp academy will open on the 1st of July 2018.

Francoise runs Thula Thula with her team of 50 loyal employees. As hunting is not permitted, all funds for conservation are generated by the two safari lodges at Thula Thula that Francoise created in 2000 and 2006. These lodges welcome international guests for eco and photo safaris. Thula Thula also relies on the generosity of donors to the South African Conservation Fund.

Francoise book AN ELEPHANT IN MY KITCHEN, the sequel of THE ELEPHANT WHISPERER by Lawrence Anthony, will come out on the 26th of July in the UK, Australia, India and New Zealand and Canada, on the first week of September in South Africa, and 1st of November in the US.

Lawrence’s legacy lives on thanks to the passion for the conservation of wildlife and nature he instilled in all of us and this is what we all live for here at Thula Thula.

Conscious Gifts For Our Children with Children’s Author Andrew Newman

Our children are our future and I’m pleased to have children’s author Andrew Newman join the show today. He has authored twelve books for children. Andrew believes that the last 20 minutes of every day are precious.

His latest project, The Conscious Bedtime Story Club, is a culmination of all of these areas of experience, intended to bring parent and child into deeper connection and spiritual union with each other.

My first story was simply a poem that needed some pictures. The book is called A Little Light.

I was amazed to see how a colorful picture book brought to life some of the detailed psychological and spiritual understanding that I’d had spent years studying. When I showed it to my therapy clients many of them said “I wish I had this when I was younger. It would have saved me many years of painful misunderstanding”So I decided it is better to help parents nurture the spirituality of their children before their attitudes, beliefs and behaviors are fully formed, and hopefully the next generation do not need to repeat the same painful path that so many of us had to.

Andrew Newman has followed his deep longing for connection and his passion for spiritual development in a 12 year-long study of healing. He is a graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing and a qualified Non-Dual Kabbalistic healer. Andrew has been actively involved in men’s work through the Mankind Project since 2006.

His portfolio of work alongside his therapy practice includes; publishing over 2500 donated poems as the PoemCatcher, volunteer coordination for Habitat for Humanity in South Africa and directing Edinburgh’s Festival of Spirituality and Peace.

Risking the Rapids: How My Wilderness Adventure Healed My Childhood with Irene O’Garden

Irene O’Garden has won or been nominated for prizes in nearly every writing category from stage to e-screen, hardcovers, children’s books as well as literary magazines and anthologies. Her critically-acclaimed play Women on Fire (Samuel French), starring Judith Ivey, played to sold-out houses at Off-Broadway’s Cherry Lane Theatre, and was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award. Her new play, Little Heart, won her a Berilla Kerr Playwriting Fellowship and was awarded full development at the New Harmony Play Project. O’Garden was awarded a Pushcart Prize for her lyric essay “Glad to Be Human,” (Untreed Reads.) Harper published her first memoir Fat Girl and Nirala Press recently published Fulcrum: Selected Poems, which contains her prize-winning poem “Nonfiction.” On January 31, 2019 O’Garden’s upcoming memoir, Risking the Rapids: How My Wilderness Adventure Healed My Childhood is being published by Mango Publishing.

O’Garden’s poems and essays have been featured in dozens of literary journals and award- winning anthologies (including A Slant of Light, USA Book award Best Anthology), and she has been honored with an Alice Desmond Award and an Oppenheimer for her children’s books.

A seasoned and entertaining presenter both on stage and video, O’Garden has appeared at top literary venues: including The Player’s Club, the Bowery Poetry Club, Nuyorican Poetry Café, and KGB in Manhattan; The Poetry Café, Mycennae House and Vinyl Deptford in London, and all throughout the Hudson Valley. O’Garden has presented at children’s literature conferences at Vassar and NYU and teaches poetry workshops at New York City schools.
