A native of Dakar, Senegal, Remy came to the United States as a part of the Sports for Education and Economic Development (SEEDS) program in Senegal from 2005 to 2008. After graduating from Lake Forest Academy high school in 2010, Remy attended college at Dallas Baptist University (DBU). Following his graduation from DBU in August of 2014, Ndiaye worked in Rwanda for NBA Africa and the Shooting Touch program. During his 10-month stay in Rwanda, Remy helped kids develop their skills on the basketball court, taught health education classes, and led Bible studies. Remy's journey in sports management started with an internship for the NBA Summer League, which led to his first position with the Philadelphia 76ers as a Video Coordinator Intern and then a role as Player Development Specialist. After graduating, Purcell became a skills trainer/coach with the National Basketball Academy in Cleveland, OH. In 2009, when the Academy began a business relationship with the then-New Orleans Hornets, Purcell was selected to run the operation in Louisiana. While at The Academy, Dan grew the program into the largest in the state. Notable players during his tenure at the Academy were Terry Rozier (CHA), Jared Butler (UTAH), and Thon Maker (MIL, CHI). Four years later, he was hired as the Hornets Basketball Operations Assistant. After a successful stint, he was promoted to Basketball Operations Manager. | |||
