Khalila Lister is a dynamic speaker and entrepreneur recognised for her influence and dedication to empowering Muslim communities globally. She has been awarded the prestigious title of top 50 Most Influential Muslims in Europe for two years running: 2023 and 2024 and has hosted events in front of thousands of Muslims at iconic venues such as the ExCeL London and Athena Theatre. Her growing prominence in the international Dawah scene has seen her speak at major conferences, passionately advocating for the spread of Islamic values.
As the founder and CEO of Power Of Voice Academy, the world’s first public speaking academy for Muslims, Khalila is transforming the way Muslims communicate and share their stories. Her career began after graduating from stage school and studying storytelling at Goldsmiths, University of London, but it was her journey into entrepreneurship as a Muslim revert that gave her the platform to combine her training with her Islamic values.
Khalila has spoken at TEDx events and now coaches speakers for the TEDx stage as a licensed curator of TEDx Bethnal Green Road. She has trained under leading public speakers but, dissatisfied with approaches that conflicted with her beliefs, she created her own successful method. Her approach is empowering Muslim entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and professionals to use their voices to increase impact and success, while staying true to their Islamic principles.
A recipient of numerous accolades, Khalila is a winner of the She Awards’ Glass Ceiling Breaker award. She has also been recognised as one of the Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs in the world by Global Women, a platform founded by Mirela Sula. Khalila's mission is to empower Muslims, especially women, to excel in entrepreneurship and public speaking without compromising on their Islamic values.
