GHOSTS!  In this part 2 episode, I continue talking ghosts.  Full disclosure the podcast ghost was back.  I had a slight interruption in recording though it was quite easy to fix.  It is no coincidence that the subject matter is ghosts - they like to mess around at times.  I do not have ghosts in my home though they do know that I can tune in and sometimes follow me around.  It makes sense to me that just talking about ghosts sort of called them in.  I have never experienced the type of recording disruption before until the topic was ghosts.  

In this episode, I answer a few quick questions.  A listener story is shared.  Deeper philosophy around ghosts is explained.  Over the last two years I have been learning about ghosts as it has been a topic of interest for me.  Spirit has provided insight in various ways.

Hello Spirit Talkers!  I get personal in this one, explaining that anxiety has been a teacher to me.  Anxiousness showed me it was time to change.  Then the Universe conspired and had my husband's interest in fasting for physical optimization be the answer I would have never chosen for myself.  He and I did an 86 hour fast together where we only had water, electrolytes, and a little bone broth.  In this episode, I get into my personal experiences and:

Fasting:  The physical benefits. (some science stuff).

The spiritual history of fasting. 

The lessons I got about my own spiritual abilities and how to adapt them.  I now use a dimmer switch instead of just an "on/off" switch.

In this episode we dive into the history of Halloween and it's ties to Samhain, the Celtic pagan tradition the modern day holiday was derived from with the help of the Catholic church.  

While Celtic pagans started the traditions based on their end of year celebrations, it wasn't until immigration during the potato famine when pagan practices made their way to North America.  That is what finally birthed the current tradition of the phrase used on Halloween, "trick or treat?" and the modern version of Halloween.

Have you heard the term "the veil is thinning"?  The Celts believe the veil was thin during Samhain.  Sharing what I have learned about Halloween traditions inspired me to talk about the veil.  What is it and what does it mean when it's thin?  With help of my spirit guides, I describe what affect a thinning veil can have on us and different circumstances that lead to a thinner veil.

In this episode, I talk about spiritual burnout.  What it is, what can lead us to burnout, and how to get out of or avoid burnout.  In a state of vulnerability, I share that I have recently experienced a few of the symptoms of burnout and was definitely headed toward total burnout.  With the help of my guides, the self work I have done in the past, and people who are close to me, I was able to course correct and am happy to report that I have my zest for life back.

This month is pure magic friends!  At least it feels like as I tune into the collective energy.  This month, we are being called to enjoy ourselves and let the beautiful energy wash over us.  The energy this month is in stark contrast to May and June this year, in that it is about abundance, and us riding the wave to level up and ascend. 

Ever had telepathic communication?  If not, you probably will this month.  Telepathy (and other psychic abilities) are amplified this August. 

What do owls mean to you?  I have been getting owls as a sign/totum/msg over and over.  It is a sure indicator that we are being given divine guidance and downloads and information is coming to us quickly and clearly.  We are receiving Universal Truths!

This episode is a big riff about timeline jumping.  Not so much the precision of it all (I will leave that to the quantum physicists) but more so from a zoomed out, spiritual perspective.  I explain how I view timeline jumping and that we are all doing a lot of it right now and collectively jumping together.  

Are you familiar with the Mandala effect?  It's my thought that it stems from timeline jumping.

Did you know our planet has a heart beat?  It does!  That's a fun way of referring to the Schumann resonance.  And after doing a bit of research, I have lots to share about it.  This is an episode where science meets spirit.   In this episode, I discuss:

• The Schumann resonance has been popping up in my social media, in discussions with friends and more.  This got me to thinking and researching.

• I also discuss what I have found in my own internet research and it's fascinating.  As it turns out, our hearts and brains can synch with our planet's atmosphere, specifically the Schumann resonance.
• From there, I make a few leaps and talk about my own theories in working with Spirit and their higher vibration.  I have had experiences where my heart beat speeds up when connecting with Spirit which begs the question...If our hearts can link to the Earth, can it link to Spirit too?!  For me, that answer is a resounding YES.  Science doesn't support that, but will it ever?  
• Maybe science wont catch up to overlap with spirituality fully, as we are meant to not fully know.  Our planet and our bodies function as a school for souls so some level of mystery seems necessary.

Amy Beavington is a psychic medium and meditation coach who aims to break through the "woo woo" perspective of spirituality and inspire others to pursue a life of purpose. 

I loved speaking with Amy and enjoyed getting nerdy about mediumship.  She gave us a glimpse into how she works and I definitely heard some of the techniques she uses for the very first time as we spoke.  We covered the following and so much more:

• Amy seeing spirit as a child.  When she finally sought a mentor it really was in hopes she can stop whatever was going on with her, but as it turned out she learned to cultivate and embrace her gifts.  She came to the realization that she is a medium and her mentor kicked her out of the nest to fly on her own as a medium!
• Meditation and what it does for Amy.  She talks about it from a perspective of reliving pressure that can otherwise build from the spirit world.  She likens it to a damn letting out a bit of water in order to work properly.  Amy also discusses how meditation helps her in other ways.
• We talk about scribbling during mediumship.  The why of it and how it can change from spirit to spirit.  We find similarities and differences with each other related to the scribbling. 
• I ask Amy about how she works mediumistically and her symbolism.  I coin the term "lexicon of symbols" and we go with it.  Something I hadn't heard of before is Spirit shows up in different color tone for Amy depending on how they passed. Fascinating!
• I asked Amy, "does spirit come around you when you aren't doing readings?" and she comes through with a fantastic basketball analogy that explains mediums so well.  
• We answer a question that has been brought forward on the Spirit Talk - a soul tribe chat.  We both give and answer on how to help children ground.  Amy mentioned a book "Just Breathe" by Mallika Chopra. 
• Finally, we briefly discuss clairs and what our most predominant clairs are at this time.

I tell a story that took place in Turkey in 1999, when I first learned about the Evil Eye and received a gift from a stranger.  Was he sent by my Spirit Guide?  Maybe.

There are some fun facts about the Evil Eye.  I also share that Evil Eye came up in a reading recently.  Still not sure why exactly, other than a little girl needed it in some way.  

I talk about energy protection and that the eye itself may do nothing at all but the mindset, intention, and practice of embodying a protective energy sure does!  So, yes, the Evil Eye amulets work for protection...though it may be a placebo affect (which doesn't take away from the magic at all).

Spring is in the air!  I am here for it. 

Ever been tested by the Universe?  It could be a sign that you need to get more specific and clear about your aspirations and goals.  Maybe the energy behind what you want has been lack luster and the Universe is asking, "do you really want this?"  So if you are getting tested, you might be very close to what you want, its just your sign to get more specific.  Dare to DREAM is what spirit is telling us this Spring.  Ya'll might be pleasantly surprise by what the Universe provides when you really put your heart behind your wishes.  

Winter is over but here's the thing...not enough of us got the rest and recuperation we needed.  Spirit tells us we need to work on calming our nervous systems this spring.  Especially since there is a LOT of energy coming down the pipe.  Be mindful of what you are consuming and taking in - is it only adding to energetic overload?

Story time!  I was inspired by the soul tribe community when a poster said "reiki is real." 

In this episode I tell a personal story about healing my Mom's kidney.  This was the thing that really made me believe that reiki is real and can be very powerful.  

This was also a lesson in making sure to manage my own energy, especially after reiki sessions!  I had to learn it the hard way...I got extreme energy sickness.  Now that it's all behind me though, I am truly grateful for the experience.

I had planned to do a completely different episode today, but ended up sharing what was on my heart instead.  This episode is basically like my own personal journal entry combined with messages for you.

I talk about my own fears and how they have affected me.  One of the reasons I haven't committed to regular recording sessions for this podcast is because of fear of judgement.  In this episode I talk about how, the bigger the calling, the bigger the shadow.  Why we should move through fears to do the things that light us up (people's spirit guides tell me this all the time by the way). 

I didn't prepare for this episode.  I just let it flow and believe it or not, to me that is scary.  Some of the issues I'm working through in my real life are perfectionism, analysis paralysis, and fear of judgement.  Can you relate?

Kellie was a sensitive kid and she turned her abilities way down until she felt the call strongly enough and got enough evidence from Spirit that this was the right thing when she made the transition in her business from stylist to spiritual work.  Kellie talks about how her path has unfolded and how she is a spiritual course junkie.  Having taken a course on spirit guides, she can now see people's spirit teams!  Kellie also tells us about how spirit usually comes through for her via scent (clairgustance).  

Kellie and I discuss reiki and I have a real time lightbulb moment of the how/why reiki and mediumship often go hand in hand.  Dreams are another way that spirit often comes through because, similar to reiki, the mind is out of the way.  This leads us to discuss spiritual boundaries and how Kellie learned from experience.  Spirit was waking her up and night and it became so exhausting.  This is when she extended the boundaries she has in her life to her spiritual work.  Now spirit waits until at least 5:30 am to communicate.  

I asked Kellie about her philosophy on ghosts and as it turns out we have similar views.  This leads us to talking about energy clearing and the importance of owning the energy in your own home.  But what about spirits in the home?  Kellie says embrace it and feel gratitude that your family and spirit team is there hanging with you.  I couldn't agree more!  

Back to spirit guides, Kellie and I both agree that many guides feel they could be doing more, but the communication isn't there.  We discuss how to get in touch with guides and Kellie makes the excellent point that some folks are squeezing too tight, trying to control and not surrendering enough to the magic that our guides may want to come through with.

Hi tribe!  In this episode I give an update on my philosophy about ghosts.  I was lucky enough to experience a ghost recently and helped him to move on (hopefully).  Yes, I am confident now in saying ghosts exist.  I talk about clearing energy in a home that can be used by anyone if you have a ghost living with you  or not.  

Karen Hibl, who has been a guest on Spirit Talk, did a mediumship reading for me a little while ago.  It was lovely.  I had my Grandpa come through with specific messages.  He showed her a brown horse which is a symbol I associate with him.  I talk about "code words" or symbols that people may have in their mind that a medium must say in order for them to believe their loved one has made contact and warn that isn't the best idea.  Being radically open is the best way to receive spirit.

Jenny Adams tells her story. 

*attention* We speak about some heavy things here, including the passing of a child.  There are so many Empaths in the audience, I felt it was fair to give notice.  

I know Jenny from way back in our high school days and we reconnected later in life when Jenny was interested in developing mediumship abilities.  She came to realize that she could channel Spirit after the passing of her sweet baby daughter, Sadie. 

Jenny tells us her story of being a special needs Mom and ultimately losing her daughter to a rare brain disorder called Lissencephaly.  Jenny's story is remarkable in that she has endured so much and still pushes herself forward to heal, learn, and grow.  She tells us about the lessons she learned from sweet Sadie.  Jenny used visual meditations to prepare herself for her daughter's passing and it's truly amazing the strength that she had through very difficult times.  

When Sadie passed, Jenny was driven to learn about how she connected with Spirit.  She took classes and even started doing readings.  Then a wave of grief set in and Jenny took a step back to focus solely on herself.  And boy oh boy did she ever!  She enrolled in Shakti school https://theshaktischool.com/ to learn Ayurveda and become a wellness coach.  Through this time Jenny really leaned into a self love spiritual practice which healed her gut and balanced her mind, body, soul connections.

Have you ever seen people roll their eyes when "woo-woo" is mentioned?  I have.  To me the word is fun, mystical, light hearted, and powerful.  But did you know, that is a far cry from the dictionary definition?  

In this episode, I break down the modern take on woo-woo.  Are "they" (whoever they are...that's a whole other topic) dividing us spiritually speaking when they devalue words like woo-woo?  Probably.

Hi soul tribe!  In this episode I talk about my call to reiki.  I ignored it for a long time but the signs just kept coming.  Finally, I took the leap and started level 1.  I tell that story because I want people to know that their interested in things for a reason.  It can be part of a deeper calling and if it isn't a deep calling, at the very least, our interests help us to grow, they light up our hearts, and they can bring us down different paths in life.
