Dr. Jay Buckey is doing just that in the Space Medicine Innovations Laboratory at Dartmouth and a professor in both the medical school and engineering college at Dartmouth.

A 21st Century Space Suit with Dr. Ana Diaz Artiles

Her lab’s recent work to develop the SmartSuit concept combines soft-robotics, biometric monitoring, and advances in material sciences to bring Extravehicular Activity suits into the 21st century.

Dr. Christopher Mason was a leader on the pioneering NASA Twin Study. He wears many hats as he works as a professor and researcher at Weill Cornell Medical School.
