Today we have legendary master board shaper Tom Parrish in the studio, at Henriks farm.

Its amazing sitting listen to Tom talks about the shaping history and the life in the 70's at the North Shore of Oahu.

What a beautiful person Tom is. He brought with him Henriks new board, a 9'6'' big gun.

It became a long talk, its unedited, so just lay back and listen to Tom takes us back in the days. We talk about the life in Hawaii in the 70’s, hand shaped boards, Gerry Lopez, Jeff Hakman, busting down the door, shaping Lighting Bolt, Clark Foam shutting down, the bad in competition, greed, working with Quicksilver, the death of elegance, Fast Eddie, SUP and foil and who is the best surfer through all time.

Studioet er flyttet fra campingvogna på Oddanesand, til Lillavendel Kafe på Søndersrød gård og Tommy Langseth er på besøk.

Tommy jobber på Institutt for Idrett og Friluftsliv på Universitetet i Sørøst Norge Campus Bø og er utdannet Samfunnsviter med doktorgrad i sosiologi om blant annet surfekulturen i Norge.

Praten går om skader, livsstil, jakten på anerkjennelse, proteksjonisme, surf-etikk, Nias, Marokko, er surfere grønne, Miki Dora, Freud osv.

Jørn testamenterte 200’ til gutta for at de skulle dra på surftur. I denne episoden får du gjengitt turen, som startet i surfshacken til Mark "Doc" Renneker, Ocean Beach, San Francisco. Turen går så nordover og så Vegas for å se Formel 1, videre til Encinitas og opp kysten til St Cruz og tilbake til SF.
