Somewhere In The Pines is a serial podcast dedicated to locating the hidden caches of American Serial Killer, Israel Keyes. Listen along as Joshua and Dakota search the small towns, rivers and campgrounds of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula.

Israel Keyes was a devoted outdoorsman, a soldier and a father. He was also an admitted arsonist, rapist, bank robber and murderer. This season you will hear the story of two friends following the trail of a serial killer that has long gone cold. Searching for new evidence and answers to questions investigators and the FBI have been asking for over a decade.
In this podcast we will attempt to use the methods and tactics he employed to locate Israel’s caches of weapons, tools and keepsakes hidden all around the country.

He then robbed the Tupper Lake Community Bank, absconding with nearly $10,000. Some of the weapons found in the Blake Falls Reservoir Bucket were used in these crimes and were hidden, previously, in a different cache, at a different location. In this episode, Josh searches for a victims' remains as we realize a document I found in the early stages of our research directly relates to Israel’s caching methods.

After his 2009 Tupper Lake NY crime spree, Israel Keyes buried his guns and left his shovel, 97 miles east next to the Winooski River in the heart of Vermont. This Cache of weapons remained hidden just off of Vermont’s Hwy 15 in the Woodside Natural Area until 2011, when he used the items inside to abduct and murder a married couple less than 2 miles away. In this episode Joshua wraps up his trip in the NE by retracing Keyes’ steps in Essex, and we discover what could be a new understanding of how Israel chose his locations to commit crime.
