The Utah Hockey Club got the party started with a 5-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks Tuesday night at the Delta Center. The evening was full of festivities, including a block party in front of the building with a performance by country music star Shaboozey.

Inside the arena, fans were treated to a great atmosphere and returned the favor by powering the team to a 3-goal win over the Blackhawks. But Austin Facer believes the game was a lot closer than the final score would indicate. Still, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Fortunately, Utah goaltender Connor Ingram was both in a strong showing.

The Utah Hockey Club will welcome the Colorado Avalanche to the friendly confines of Delta Center for the first time on Thursday. Utah Hockey Club is off to a magical start, scoring 9 of a possible 12 points in standings, to begin its inaugural season. It almost feels like some Hollywood screenwriters are getting involved. Even with the hot start, Utah will have obstacles to overcome throughout the year, including the recent injury to defenseman Sean Durzi, who will be out for a couple of dog years with an upper body injury.
