If you’ve ever wondered what makes Swedes tick this is the podcast for you. Whether you’re planning a short visit or preparing to move here, we’ll guide you through the quirks, customs, and cultural codes that define life in Sweden. From the art of lagom (that perfect balance), to why everyone disappears to the countryside in July, we’ll unpack the traditions and behaviours that might surprise you—and help you fit right in. So settle in, and join us as we explore what it really means to live like a Swede.
And regarding me that is running this show? I am a +50 year old by the name of Anders, living in Stockholm, Sweden. Having a normal job during the adays, but the last couple of years I have realized that my voice captures people. In my job, I am speaking at a lot of events and such and after these sessions, I have sometimes been approached by people telling me they really enjoy my voice. So I realized that there must be something that makes a lot of people really like my voice? Therefore I figured, why not try and use my voice?
And, since I work in an international environment I experience other cultures and behaviours in other countries and have been thinking a lot about how the Swedish culture in many respects is different from others. Not that it is better or worse than others, but we Swedes act a bit different in some respects. Therefore I set up this Podcast to explain some of our habits and customs we have in Sweden.
Hope you enjoy this, and If you want to get in touch with me, you are more than welcome to mail me at anders@myvoice.se
