Paralandra Bio:
Paralandra hails from Springfield, Missouri, and formed in the summer of 2013 when Casandra Carson and her dad, Paul Carson, began writing songs together to play a one-time event at their local county 4th of July celebration. The response was so positive, and they enjoyed it so much, they decided to continue booking shows and writing songs. They recorded and released a homemade CD titled Rise Up; which sold over 1,000 copies at local shows. Shortly after, friend and local musician, Sawyer Rikard, joined the band on bass guitar in 2015, bringing their stage sound and performance to another level. In March of 2016, they released a follow-up EP, All Fall Down, which debuted #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. They soon began touring and being invited to festivals such as Rocklahoma, SXSW, Rockfest, Dirtfest, Loud in Lima, etc.

In 2018, they joined forces with Legend Recordings, and released another EP, Ascension, which became their biggest release yet with singles “Back to Life” and “Killer Queen” landing on the radio. Shortly after, they added local powerhouse drummer (and childhood friend of Sawyer), Dakota Watson, to form the rhythm section Casandra, Paul, and Sawyer had always dreamed of. In 2019, they recorded standalone single “Love Will Win” with producer/videographer, Jake Jones, which gained even more radio play, and placed them on numerous national tours; supporting artists such as Tantric, Saliva, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dokken, and being added to the KISS Kruise and NAMM Show.

The band continued to write, record, livestream, and perform wherever they could during the 2020 pandemic, and only continued to gain traction and fans from all over the world. Reaching out on a whim, they won over the attention of renowned producer/songwriter, Elvis Baskette, and shortly thereafter, entered the studio to record their first professionally made, full length album, Street Magic, in 2021. This release proved to be a monumental success, skyrocketing their audience with over 5 million views and streams across all platforms. Radio singles from this release alone include “For the Record”, “Despicable”, “Repeat Offender”, “Can’t Quench the Fire”, and “Only Human”.

Paralandra has since toured the country on multiple headlining runs, and is constantly supporting iconic bands such as Warrant, Lita Ford, Firehouse, Last in Line, and countless others with no end in sight. They reentered the studio with Elvis Baskette in 2023 and recorded their 2nd studio album, which is due April 4, 2024. They plan for this release to be just as big, if not bigger than the last, as they continue to record,

Adam Hamilton is the guest on the show today.  We recorded this show primarily to discuss the latest album, Solsorte, by the Blackbird Angels. Blackbird Angels is a band that includes Todd Kerns, Tracii Gunns, and Adam. Adam discusses his latest work he is producing, joining LA Guns, Brides of Destruction with Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue, and how he got his break in music that involved him living with CC Deville of Poison. The lovely Bobbie Brown is the guest on the show this week. If you want to hear raunchy stories of the sunset strip, this IS NOT the show for you. We hear all about how she is living life these days and how she has turned tragedy into triumph.

Bobbie Brown was crowned Miss Louisiana Teen USA in 1987 and spent her career as a video vixen with known acts such as Warrant and Great White. She has appeared on many television shows, authored two best selling books, and calls her daughter 'her person.' She is an absolute delight and is currently spending her time working on charity work and we hear a third book is in the works!

Todd 'Dammit' Kerns is the guest on the show today! Todd  is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer. He is most noted for being the bass player and back up singer in “Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators”, and for being the front man of “The Age of Electric”. In more recent years he has been making his mark as a singer- songwriter with his sold out acoustic performances.

While touring the world, playing to sold out audiences, he has had the opportunity to share the stage with some of rocks biggest names, including some of his own personal heroes. Some of those names include, Slash, Lemmy, Alice Cooper, Rick Nielsen, Duff McKagan, Adam Levine, Fergie, Bill Murray, Sammy Hagar, Michael Monroe and Sylvain Sylvain to name a few.

Jason Hartless is a Touring/Session drummer that has performed with legendary artists such as Ted Nugent, Joe Lynn Turner & Mitch Ryder.

Jason has over the years toured as the support act with Motley Crue, GodSmack, Ted Nugent, Theory of a Deadman, Drowning Pool, Rev Theory, Mountain and Warrior Soul just to name a few. Worked in some of the finest recording studios in North America while working with world renowned producers such as, Dale Penner (Nickelback), Paul Orofino (Millbrook Recording Studios), Tom Morris (Kamelot, Less Than Jake, Destiny's Child) and Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Asking Alexandria, Soundgarden).

Jason has been mentored by drummers such as Corky Laing (Mountain), Tommy Clufetos (Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie), Eric Singer (Kiss, Alice Cooper), Todd Sucherman (Styx), Anton Fig (Renown Session Drummer) and many more.
Jason is currently a student at the renown Berklee College of Music working towards a Masters degree in Music Business and is the current touring drummer for Guitar Legend, Ted Nugent.

David Leaf is a Peabody and WGAW award-winning writer, director and producer, the creative visionary behind such critically acclaimed films and festival favorites as Focal Award winner The Night James Brown Saved Boston, The U.S. vs. John Lennon (winner of the Exhibitors’ Award at The Venice Film Festival), the Grammy-nominated Beautiful Dreamer: Brian Wilson and the Story of SMiLE, and The Bee Gees: This Is Where I Came In.

Most recently, he directed the feature documentary on the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Dion (Dion: Born To Cry, in post-production), wrote, produced and directed To Tell The Truth, (a film about the WWII Japanese internment camps) and was a consultant for the White Horse Pictures production of Frank Marshall’s HBO feature documentary, The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?

Leaf’s television credits include being one of the writers on the Emmy-winning landmark 9/11, all-network telethon America: A Tribute To Heroes. That same year, Leaf wrote and produced TNT’s acclaimed An-All Star Tribute To Brian Wilson and was a producer of the Emmy-nominated Billy Joel: In His Own Words (A&E). 

As an author, Leaf is best known for his books for the Grammy-nominated The Pet Sounds Sessions, his groundbreaking Brian Wilson biography, The Beach Boys & The California Myth, writing The Bee Gees, the group’s authorized autobiography, and the Beatles and Beach Boys chapters for Capitol Records’ 50th Anniversary book. 

Since 2010, David Leaf has been teaching undergraduate courses at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music in Los Angeles including courses on rock documentary, songwriting and the Beatles.
