There are loads of money podcasts. None of them are really built for people who've already got money.

Most money content is aimed at people just getting started. Budgeting, saving, the basics. Serious Money is for everyone who's moved well past that. Business owners. Higher earners. People approaching retirement. People with real complexity and real decisions to make, who are tired of content that's either so jargon-heavy it sends you to sleep, or a sales pitch dressed up as advice.

Hosted by Gareth, who has spent over 18 years in financial planning, and Chris, who has spent the last ten years working in financial services with clients making exactly these decisions, and who at 35 is living most of them himself. Both from Newport in Wales, which means you're getting two people who've never been particularly impressed by the London financial bubble.

Every episode goes into one topic properly. No surface-level stuff. Then real questions from real listeners, and occasionally a guest who can add something we can't.

What makes it different: we disagree, genuinely and not for effect. We tell you what we'd actually do with our own money. And we say the things most people in this industry won't say in public. Not to be controversial, but because you deserve a straight answer.

Got a question you want answered on the show? Send us a voice note or message on Instagram, @seriousmoneypod. The best ones go straight into the Q&A.
