In this episode, Nathaniel boggles Max's mind by revealing how much Shirley Jackson trumps Stephen King's writing as well as by going over the actual plot of the book and two films versus the Netflix series, which is an adaptation in only the loosest sense but is awesome nonetheless. They also find a strangely specific repetitive formula in showrunner Mike Flanagan's body of work.
