How Far Away is the Sun?
Season 1 ¡ Episode 11
mardi 22 fÊvrier 2022 ⢠Duration 03:31
Space is big.
Time is scary.
The universe is beautiful.
Gravity Explained + Why Planets Are Round
Season 1 ¡ Episode 10
lundi 14 fÊvrier 2022 ⢠Duration 05:35
You attract the universe, and the universe attracts you.
Everything you see, and everything you donât, as long as it has a mass, is affected by gravity.
Motion Commotion!
Season 1 ¡ Episode 1
lundi 26 avril 2021 ⢠Duration 12:56
Welcome to the very first episode of my new show, Science People!
I believe we're all science people. We're all capable. We're all bright. It's mmy mission to help you find, see, and nurture your inner scientist.
In my first episode, we'll explore motion!

Weight vs Mass
Season 1 ¡ Episode 9
mardi 8 fÊvrier 2022 ⢠Duration 03:04
The terms mass and weight are often used interchangeably in everyday life, but they donât mean the same thing. Surprise, surprise!
Whatâs the difference? To find out, you only have to look at a bag of Skittles. Let me explain.
Friction Explained
Season 1 ¡ Episode 8
mardi 1 fÊvrier 2022 ⢠Duration 04:09
Stuff keeps going until something stops it. Thatâs the basic idea of Newtonâs First Law, right? A ball hitting a wall or something. Yet, we also know that if we push a skateboard down the sidewalk, itâs gonna stop eventually even if it never hits anything. So, why?
Friction.
Equilibrium Explained
Season 1 ¡ Episode 7
mardi 25 janvier 2022 ⢠Duration 03:24
When you lay in bed on your phone, youâre at rest. You arenât moving. To get nerdy for a moment, youâre in equilibrium. Well, one kind at least.
Newton's First Law of Motion Explained
Season 1 ¡ Episode 6
mardi 18 janvier 2022 ⢠Duration 03:11
If youâre here, itâs either because you have been following the series, you need help on homework, or you just like science. Either way, today itâs time to introduce Newtonâs Laws.
There are 3, but letâs take it one at a time. Sound good? Great!
What is Net Force?
Season 1 ¡ Episode 5
mardi 16 novembre 2021 ⢠Duration 03:49
As we start to explore the world of physics and motion and look at how things interact more closely, we start to see that nothing happens without affecting or being affected by something else. That idea plays nicely into something called Newtonâs 1st Law, but first, letâs talk Net Forces.

What is Force?
Season 1 ¡ Episode 4
mardi 16 novembre 2021 ⢠Duration 04:12
No, not that kind of force. But that would be so cool, wouldnât it?! Weâre talking about the science kind of force.

What are Momentum and Acceleration?
Season 1 ¡ Episode 3
lundi 15 novembre 2021 ⢠Duration 05:10
Changing speed is different for different things depending on their current speed and size, or their mass.Â
To understand this, we use something called momentum.
Have you ever been on a roller coaster? They start of slow. You can move around and lean forward in your seat with almost no energy, but when they start to speed up, like at the first drop, you get pushed into the back of your seat until youâve stopped speeding up.
That change in velocity over time is acceleration.Â
These are our next stops in our series on introductory physics!
