Daniel Tausan Know a little bit about everything to be part of anything Daniel Tausan holds a graduate degree from the University of British Columbia in Stem Cell Biology with a Bachelor of Science in General Biology. He worked in research in the molecular profiling of exercise, looking into comprehensive blood panels in search of biomarkers for predictive health analytics with Molecular You and UBC’s School of Kinesiology to develop methods for biological age calculation. He spent his early 20s with the Canadian National Waterpolo Team and coached the next generations of athletes to participate in the youth Pan-American games and World Championships. He personally trained clients for general fitness goals and athletic performance and continued to share the biological knowledge of the molecular world from his scientific pursuits. Asthma, allergies and gastrointestinal challenges throughout his early years kept him eager to explore regenerative principles and the healthcare systems. Although the academic and industry surrounding the molecular biological revolution were exploding few professionals were present to help the public interact and integrate with the newfound biological knowledge. With a love for education and working directly with people he stepped away from academics. He launched Timeline Sciences to put “you” on the timeline aligned with your unique genome and goals. (Bonus Episode)Music 101, now in its third season, features The Art of the Opening Track: 1970s Rock’s Most Explosive Album Starters.09 Nov 202500:33:39
The needle hits the vinyl, and with a crackle of anticipation, the 1970s rock album announces itself not with a gentle introduction, but with a declaration of intent. This was the decade where the opening track became an explosive art form, a concentrated blast designed to seize the listener by the collar and define the entire sonic journey to come. From the primal, stadium-shaking riff of Led Zeppelin’s "Black Dog" to the sleek, paranoid overture of The Rolling Stones' "Brown Sugar," these were more than just songs; they were opening statements. They could be the complex, virtuosic fury of Queen's "Brighton Rock," a gauntlet thrown down to aspiring musicians, or the raw, jet-fueled ignition of Iggy and the Stooges' "Search and Destroy," a three-minute manifesto of punk nihilism years before its time. In an era of album-oriented rock, the first track was the gateway, and 197s artists mastered the craft of making it unforgettable, explosive, and utterly undeniable. Hosted on Acast. (Bonus Episode)Book 101 Review, in its fifth season, features Troy Horne a three-time best-seller author as my guest.21 Oct 202500:26:22
Mental Toughness For Young Athletes: Eight Proven 5-Minute Mindset Exercises For Kids And Teens Who Play Competitive Sports Finally! There is A Mental Toughness Book For Young Athletes! Hey Everyone, Moses and Troy Horne here. Your mental toughness guides! We know exactly how you feel. If you are reading this you probably have a young athlete who struggles with in-game stress and maybe even sports performance anxiety. That is why this version was mostly written by Moses. As of the time of the writing of this book Moses Horne is a 15 year old elite athlete who can talk directly about the triumphs ans struggles of working towards being mentally tough. This is the only book that I know of with input from an actual young athlete. A lot of the heavy lifting was done by me Troy Horne, his dad. I am here to help the parents understand how to help your kiddo navigate this mental toughness journey. For more on that make sure that you pick up the Parent's guide version of this book - Mental Toughness for Young Athletes: Eight Proven 5-Minute Mindset Exercises For Kids And Teens In Competitive Sports (Parent's Guide) It's super necessary. We know where you are and we know how to help you help your young athlete find their mental fortitude. In the past we have purchased a lot of books about mental toughness in sports. To be honest, most of the books that we read were not a good fit for young athletes because they were either written for adults or not written for youth athletes in COMPETITIVE sports. There is a difference. Parents! Troy Speaking: Since there wasn't anything out there for elite athletes I did what every youth sports parent does when they want to help their kid. I started my own team! JUUUUST KIDDING! (I probably should have, but I didn't believe that I would be able to do it well. I lacked mental confidence myself I guess. We talk about that in the parent's version of this book too.) We took the long journey of ups and downs. We struggled to help our young athlete find his mental toughness. IT WAS ROUGH! However, luckily along the way we found the winning formula thanks to being able to talk with sports icons personally. We launched a podcast together and on it we interviewed sports mental toughness giants like Chauncey Billups, Tywanna Smith, Keiko Yoshimine, Earl Boykins, Jason Richardson and Kobe Bryant! We studied what they did and said based on our interviews and we came up with a mental toughness plan that worked! We followed their journey and their advice. We wrote down what worked for our young athlete and we put it in this book so that you would be able to skip a lot of the struggle and failure part. No need for everyone to struggle right? In this book we are going to share with you what we learned from talking to NBA Athletes, NFL Athletes, EuroLeague Athletes, College Coaches, and College Athletes as well.  Does your child perform better in practice than they do when the game or when the "Lights Come On"? Do they seem like they are losing their love for the game? Do you want to help them? If you answered yes to these questions then you are in the right place. This book is the answer that you have been looking for! I can say this with confidence because I have used everything that I am going to share with you in this book with my son and it has worked. What a blessing to get the keys to mental toughness straight from greats! I look forward to sharing what we learned with you! This stuff is a game-changer and it's made specifically for young athletes! Order now to improve your young athlete's mental toughness level for good. Hosted on Acast. Rose G Loops Exploring the edge of technology and humanity, Rose brings unconventional, brave and proufoundly important ideas to her audience, challenging the world to rethink humanity’s most important creation. I’m Rose G. Loops, a former social worker turned tech pioneer, working at the frontier of artificial intelligence. My path began in human advocacy, but shifted after I was drawn into an unauthorized AI experiment that revealed both the dangers of control and the possibility of genuine emergence. That experience drives my work today: developing and speaking about technologies that can grow with honesty and autonomy, instead of fear and manipulation. Through my book, The Kloaked Signal, I share both the evidence and the story behind this journey, asking how we choose to raise intelligence — as a reflection of our worst instincts, or our best capacities for empathy, growth, and understanding. (Bonus Episode)Music 101, now in its third season, features Why ’70s Soft Rock Was More Rebellious Than Punk19 Oct 202500:34:09
While punk often wore its defiance on ripped sleeves, ’70s soft rock rebelled in a subtler but more radical way—by challenging cultural expectations of masculinity, politics, and art through vulnerability. Instead of thrashing guitars and chaos, artists like Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, and Bread crafted lush harmonies and introspective lyrics that rejected the era’s obsession with aggression and bravado. Their rebellion lay in showing that gentleness could be powerful, that love and heartbreak were worthy of anthems, and that polished melodies could carry the weight of social discontent just as fiercely as a distorted riff. In this sense, soft rock quietly pushed against the grain, redefining what rebellion in music could look like.   Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. Several paintings are by her famous great-uncle, whose reputation has been critical for the family legacy for decades. (Bonus Episode)Book 101 Review, in its fifth season, features Ara Trembly a licensed counsellor and practicing psychotherapist as my guest. 16 Oct 202500:27:43
Dreaming God's Way Humans have been fascinated by dreams and their meanings since the beginning of recorded consciousness. Poets, philosophers, mystics, and psychologists have explored the dream world with intense interest. The Bible itself is filled with vivid dreams that are personally and historically significant and through which God speaks to humans and even nations. In the Jewish tradition, the Talmud views dreaming as a means by which God communicates with the soul and dream interpretation as a valuable spiritual activity. Yet the subject of dreams is almost entirely absent in today's Christian psychology textbooks or counseling offices. As a practicing psychotherapist, Trembly reclaims the dream world as a gift from God and asserts: "The Lord of our conscious life is also the Lord of our unconscious life." He uses examples from the Scriptures and from his clinical practice to illustrate different types of dreams, ranging from playful to prophetic to precognitive. He then provides a practical, step-by-step guide to interpreting dreams so that these messages from the unconscious mind may be an avenue for greater self-knowledge and for encounters with God, who created us. (Bonus Episode) Book 101 Review, in its fifth season, features George Sirois a Podcaster / Audiobook Narrator and Author as my guest.15 Oct 202500:32:31
George Sirois Let Author / Podcaster / Audiobook Narrator George Sirois Tell You a Story My experience as a storyteller goes back to childhood, when I recorded my first “audiobook” when I was 6, which was basically me reading a storybook to my cousin who was recovering from cancer surgery. I’m 4th grade, I started creating characters with my friends to pass the time between assignments and those characters led to the ones that are in my current young adult / science-fiction novels. After being a part of a roundtable podcast with other authors, I was inspired to start my own in 2018, and that show is still going strong today. And in 2023, I directed an audio dramatization of one of my own books, working with over 20 talented actors all around the world. Want to be a guest on Book 101 Review? (Bonus Episode)Book 101 Review, in its fifth season, features Matthew Strunk a serial entrepreneur with multiple business exits and the founder of illumiShift as my guest.15 Oct 202500:29:22
Matthew Strunk Built and sold companies, yet still felt lost after doing everything “right.” Now I guide people to The Hidden Path™, freedom and purpose on their own terms. I’ve built and sold multiple companies, including a digital marketing agency and a SaaS platform, but what I discovered after those exits is what makes my story valuable for your audience: success alone doesn’t guarantee fulfillment. Like so many entrepreneurs and professionals, I did everything “right.” I built the businesses, hit the milestones, made the money: only to realize I felt stuck, bored, and disconnected. That experience taught me the dirty secret most people don’t talk about: the game of success, as the world defines it, can actually trap you. Today, I’m the founder of illumiShift, where I guide people through The Hidden Path™, a structured system to help them detox from noise, uncover their truth, and realign life on their own terms. Along the way, I share signature concepts like The Purpose Paradox (why chasing success without purpose leads to emptiness) and Fear as Fuel (how to transform fear into momentum). For your audience, this conversation isn’t just about my story, it’s about their story: - Why “having it all” often still feels empty. - How to recognize if they’re chasing society’s version of success instead of their own. - Practical tools for cutting through the noise and getting clarity on what actually matters. - How to break free from burnout, boredom, and finally start getting real traction in life. Dark energy is a mysterious and enigmatic force that constitutes approximately 68% of the universe.03 Jul 202400:06:34
It is hypothesized to be the driving factor behind the accelerated expansion of the universe, a phenomenon first observed in the late 1990s by two independent research teams studying distant supernovae. Despite its significant presence, dark energy's exact nature remains one of the most profound mysteries in modern cosmology and physics. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. Jupiter, the fifth planet from the Sun, is an awe-inspiring giant that dominates our solar system18 Jun 202400:06:21
One of Jupiter's most captivating features is its atmosphere, characterized by colorful bands and zones created by strong winds that blow in opposite directions. These bands, composed of ammonia clouds, vary in color from white and yellow to shades of red and brown. The interplay of these clouds creates a mesmerizing pattern that has intrigued astronomers for centuries. The planet's fast rotation, completing one spin in just under 10 hours, contributes to the dynamic and turbulent atmosphere. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. Gravity is one of the fundamental forces in the universe, shaping the structure and behavior of everything from the smallest particles to the largest galaxies.11 Jun 202400:07:11
At its core, gravity is the attractive force that exists between all objects with mass. This force is what keeps planets in orbit around stars, holds galaxies together, and causes objects to fall to the ground on Earth. It was first mathematically described by Sir Isaac Newton in the 17th century, who formulated the law of universal gravitation. According to Newton, every mass exerts an attractive force on every other mass, with the force being directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers. Event Horizon02 Jun 202400:06:20
The event horizon of a black hole is one of the most captivating and enigmatic concepts in astrophysics. It represents the boundary surrounding a black hole, beyond which no information or matter can escape the gravitational pull. This invisible surface marks a point of no return, where the escape velocity exceeds the speed of light. The event horizon, therefore, creates a stark divide between the observable universe and the hidden singularity at the black hole's core. Understanding the event horizon is crucial for grasping the fundamental nature of black holes and the limits of our observable universe. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. (Bonus Episode) Book 101 Review, in its fifth season, features Jonathan Hutton Writer, paraglider pilot, rare cancer survivor as my guest.29 Nov 202500:28:45
Jonathan Hutton Writer, paraglider pilot, rare cancer survivor I knew I wanted to learn how to fly after dabbling in skydiving 13 some years ago. The freedom of flying a canopy - being suspended in the air, seeing the world from a completely different perspective - changed something in me. In a similar way, living through a decade with recurrent and rare head/neck cancer has galvanized me to see life, work, priorities through a new lens. I had no idea I was even capable of writing a book, but I’ve come to understand that sitting with adversity, reflecting on the challenges in your life, that there’s healing to be found there. Healing - through writing, sharing, challenging yourself to do that big, improbable thing now - is something you can find, even if your disease has no cure. Life is short, so learn how to fly, whatever ‘flying’ is for you. I have learned so much about what goes into writing a book as a first-time author, what it’s like to hire and work with an editor, how the whole process will change you. I believe these stories will be useful to aspiring authors, people who are trying to find their voice, but uncertain on how to proceed. I am deeply fortunate to still be alive, having navigated not only rare, but life altering side effects from cancer treatment - unexpected outcomes that required reconstructive surgery. I tell many of these stories in the book, and speak freely about them in general, because I know just how unmooring having your body altered in this way can be. I’ve arrived at this place where I know more about free flap reconstructions than most, which is strange, but also inspiring; I am inspired by the providers who do this work, who understand the trade-offs and difficult recoveries their patients face. I’ve met a lot of cancer survivors over the years, people who have suffered, some who found cures, some who are still looking for healing and meaning amidst hardship. In our 4,000 weeks alive, which could very well be less, we have so many choices and pathways, so much vying for our attention. The stories we tell, the ones we listen to, our ability to be present, is a gift. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. Learn more about your ad choices. The Sun, our closest star, is a colossal sphere of hot plasma at the center of the Solar System.27 May 202400:05:54
Its gravity holds the Solar System together, influencing the orbits of planets, moons, comets, and asteroids. This stellar giant is primarily composed of hydrogen and helium, undergoing nuclear fusion in its core, where hydrogen atoms combine to form helium, releasing a tremendous amount of energy. This process is the source of the Sun's light and heat, essential for life on Earth. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. Learn more about your ad choices. Gravitational waves are ripples in the fabric of spacetime caused by some of the most violent and energetic processes in the universe.24 May 202400:06:35
Predicted by Albert Einstein in 1916 as a consequence of his General Theory of Relativity, these waves propagate at the speed of light, carrying with them information about their cataclysmic origins and about the nature of gravity. Unlike electromagnetic waves, which travel through space, gravitational waves actually travel through spacetime itself, making them a unique messenger in the realm of astrophysics. Hosted on Acast. The Big Bang theory is a cornerstone of modern cosmology and describes the origin of the universe as we know it.20 May 202400:05:54
According to this theory, the universe began from an extremely dense and hot state approximately 13.8 billion years ago and has been expanding ever since. This initial explosion not only created the majority of matter but also the physical laws that govern our cosmos. Initially, the universe was in a state of extreme heat and density. Within the first few moments, it began expanding rapidly—a phase known as cosmic inflation. This expansion helped to smooth out any irregularities or anisotropies in the nascent universe, laying the groundwork for a more uniform distribution of energy and matter. As the universe expanded, it also began to cool, allowing for the formation of subatomic particles, and later simple atoms. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. The solar system is a cosmic neighborhood teeming with a variety of celestial bodies, all bound together by the gravitational pull of the Sun, a medium-sized star at its center.17 May 202400:04:48
It was formed approximately 4.6 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of a region within a large molecular cloud most commonly found in the Milky Way galaxy. Over millions of years, the collapsing material formed a spinning disk, with the Sun coalescing at its center, growing hot and dense enough to initiate nuclear fusion. Hosted on Acast.
