Angela Manno is an award-winning artist based in Scotland. She is a graduate of Bard College and studied art at the San Francisco Art Institute, Parsons School of Design, and l’Ecole des Arts in Lacoste through Sarah Lawrence College, France. She trained with master iconographer Vladislav Andrejev in the ancient liturgical art of Byzantine-Russian iconography.

A three-time grant recipient from the Xerox Corporation, Manno’s art has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions including the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C, the Smithsonian Institution, the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, and other museums around the world.

In 1988, Manno was commissioned by NASA to commemorate the U.S. return to space flight with the launch of Discovery, the first after the Challenger accident. She is the only female visual artist selected for this honor. Other artists to capture the novelty of space travel for the space agency include Norman Rockwell, Robert Rauschenberg, and James Wyeth. Her artwork for this assignment has toured throughout the United States and is part of the permanent NASA space art collection at the Kennedy Space Center.

Manno’s major solo exhibition, Conscious Evolution: The World At One, toured internationally and was seen by more than a quarter of a million people. With the support of private and corporate sponsors—including actor Tom Hanks, AXA Space, and Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia—the artwork featured in the exhibition became part of the permanent fine art collection of the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum.

In May 2022, Manno was commissioned by the Vatican Dicastery on Integral Human Development to create an audio-visual program to open Laudato Si’ Week 2022, the seven-year anniversary of Pope Francis’ groundbreaking encyclical. The program, Responding to the Cry of the Earth, featured images from her series Contemporary Icons of Endangered Species and appeared on computer screens around the world as part of the global event No More Biodiversity Collapse: Rebalancing Social Systems with Nature.

Manno’s artwork has been noted in numerous publications, including NPR, Hyperallergic, National Wildlife Magazine, TNational Catholic Reporter, The Progressive, Sojourners, ART News, Treehugger, Smithsonian Online Magazine, Kosmos and a nine-page spread in The Artful Mind, the premier art magazine of the Berkshires. Her plein air landscapes are featured in the French documentary film Voyage au Pays des Lavandes (Journey to Lavender Country). Her art is also featured in two coffee table books, Visions of Space and In the Stream of Stars: The Soviet American Space Art Book, and on the cover of the forthcoming volume, Animal Dignity.

Manno’s current series, Contemporary Icons of Threatened and Endangered Species, applies her iconographic training to a contemporary exploration of the environmental crisis and biodiversity collapse.

Ernie Tamminga is a trained Spiritual Director and holds a PhD in Cross-Cultural Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he studied for five years with Raimon Panikkar. His dissertation focused on Teilhard’s notion of a “Privileged Axis” of evolution. During the 1970s he was a member of the board of “The Phenomenon of Man Project,” which offered presentations and retreats centered on Teilhard’s vision.

Ernie calls himself a “planet empath” whose heart has long been broken by the degradation we are inflicting on our Home Planet and all her living beings. He shares Raimon Panikkar’s frequently stated hope, “I’m holding out for a mutation.” Ernie also had a career in the technology industry and has taught university-level courses in World Religions and in Computer Science. John F. Haught, PhD is a Distinguished Research Professor from Georgetown University in Washington, DC where he was Professor in the Department of Theology (1970-2005) and Chair (1990-95). His area of specialization is systematic theology, with a particular interest in issues pertaining to science, cosmology, evolution, ecology, and religion. Haught has authored over twenty books on these topics. In 2002 he was the winner of the Owen Garrigan Award in Science and Religion; and in 2004 the Sophia Award for Theological Excellence; in 2008 he received a “Friend of Darwin Award” from the National Center for Science Education. In Fall 2008 he held the D’Angelo Chair in the Humanities at St. John’s University in New York City. In April 2009 he received an honorary doctorate from Louvain University, Belgium.

Marie Bayon de La Tour is the great-niece of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, SJ. Louis Savary, PhD, STD, holds two doctorates, one in mathematical  statistics and another in theology. He was a Jesuit for thirty years,  and for the past forty years has been explaining Teilhard’s ideas in  ordinary language. He has published over eight books on Teilhard,  including “The Divine Milieu” Explained and “The Phenomenon of Man”  Explained. He has written The New Spiritual Exercises: In the Spirit of  Teilhard de Chardin, bringing Teilhard’s evolutionary perspective to the  classic Ignatian Exercises. Dr. Tracy Higgins, PhD has been a member of the American Teilhard Association and active in the  French Amis de Teilhard de Chardin for over 20 years. During her career in the Defense  Department, Tracy also served in Italy, Rwanda, Korea, Burundi, Israel,  Egypt and India. Upon retirement in NY, she earned a PhD from Columbia  University and became a practicing RN specializing in neurological  disorders and pediatric psychiatry. She is studying Jungian psychoanalytic theory which she incorporates clinically into expressive arts and Sandplay therapy.

Dr. Joshua Canzona, PhD is currently serving as the Associate Ombudsman at the  University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, where he acts as a  confidential and alternative dispute resolution resource for over 40,000  students, faculty, and staff. He also teaches graduate courses on comparative mysticism, Muslim-Christian dialogue, and religion and art  at the Wake Forest University School of Divinity.

Brian McLaren is an author, speaker, activist, and public theologian. A former college English teacher and pastor, he is a passionate advocate for “a new kind of Christianity” – just, generous, and working with people of all faiths for the common good. Travis Gray, PhD, MACP is a Transpersonal Psychologist who is passionate about the transformation of people into wholly integrated and actualized individuals.

Growing up, Travis was constantly in and out of jail. He had found himself in a vicious cycle that needed to be broken so it would not continue throughout his life.

Paula Guarnaccia's primary work is in partnership with her husband, the composer, Sam Guarnaccia. Together they created the Emergent Universe Oratorio Project which is a choral orchestral musical rendering of the story of our evolving Universe to the present day. It was inspired both by the work of Teilhard de Chardin and Thomas Berry. Paula Guarnaccia is the current Treasurer of the American Teilhard Association. She has been an active member of ATA since 2012. Her background is in administration in both higher education and healthcare.

Sam Guarnaccia is a composer, classical guitarist, scholar, and founder/director of Sam Guarnaccia Music. He studied privately at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid and received a Master of Fine Arts in Guitar performance from the California Institute of the Arts. He created and, for ten years, taught and directed the guitar program of the University of Denver’s renowned Lamont School of Music. Joan grew up in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and her Mennonite upbringing created a heart for the world. She and her husband and three children lived in Indonesia for 13 years. Upon returning to the United States Joan taught English as a foreign language to adults in her Lancaster County, Pennsylvania community. Currently, Joan is exploring new avenues of faith and volunteering at Lancaster city’s welcome desk for refugees and immigrants. In addition to enjoying biking with her husband, she adores her three adult children and loves spending time with her four grandchildren. She is who connected me with Brian McLaren and John Keane, of earlier episodes. We discuss her work with BioSpiritual Focusing and evolutionary spirituality.

Kathleen is a Sister of the Congregation of Notre Dame and a theologian, spiritual teacher, author, and songwriter of contemporary liturgical and contemplative music. She was composer-in-residence for Schola Ministries at the former Benedictine Grange for 40 years and is the founding director of the Deignan Institute for Earth and Spirit at Iona University, where she continues to serve as Emerita Professor of Religious Studies.

Robert Nicastro, PhD, is the Executive Director of the Center for Christogenesis and is a theologian, teacher, and writer whose research explores the convergence of religion, science, and artificial intelligence. His work focuses on how emerging technologies are reshaping human identity, planetary consciousness, and the future of religious thought. His doctoral dissertation, The Future as Sole Support: Metaphysics, Hyperphysics, and the Theology of Teilhard de Chardin, offers a reinterpretation of Teilhard’s cosmic vision as a compelling metaphysical framework for addressing the complex challenges of the twenty-first century.

Robert and I discuss how evolutionary theology had an impact on his vocation and how young theologians are living in a moment of tension between tradition and the future of faith and organized religion.
