| Jo and Kez Aldridge | 10 Mar 2026 | 00:58:16 | |
In 2019, Kerrie Aldridge made headlines around the world when her attempt to run the London marathon was ruined by an experience organisers later had to apologise for. The runners who finished in times slower than seven and a half hours found the route being cleared around them and some reported called "fat" and "slow" by contractors and volunteer marshalls, another received a chemical burn as cleaning took place as they completed the event. The outcry led to a organisers apologising offering free places to everyone who had a finishing time of more than seven hours, and in 2020, she was able to compete again. Kez shared her story afterwards and her running journey has become an inspiration for so many.

| Jo Pavey MBE and Louise Bernadette Butcher, AKA the topless runner | 22 Mar 2024 | 00:30:26 | |
Louise was training for the virtual London Marathon in 2022 when she was diagnosed with Lobular Breast cancer, it was a complete shock as her mammogram had been clear three weeks earlier. Breast cancer broke her and her family but she was determined not to let it take away her dream of running the Virtual London Marathon so she carried on training throughout both her Mastectomies and Radiotherapy. Louise will be running for 'Breast Cancer Now' in London 2024. It has been her dream to run in London and spread her important messages, to raise awareness of breast cancer, reduce the stigma of scars and promote body positivity. Louise is topless and will be the first woman in the world to run a Marathon topless so this is a massive moment for her and for history. "I am grateful that I can run, that I am alive and that I have been given the chance to see my kids grow up. I owe my life to it."

| Jo Pavey MBE in conversation with GI Jo (AKA Jo Wilinska) | 11 Jan 2024 | 00:26:49 | |
This is such a moving story. Shortly after joining Running At 40 Plus, Jo Wilinska was diagnosed with breast cancer. She shared this all with our community with her posts, the good and the bad. We are truly thankful for her honesty, her spirit and most of all the inspiration she gave and still continues to give us all, throughout her journey. We are truly thankful that Jo Wilinska (aka GI Jo) is now a year past her last Chemo, and to be able to share this in conversation with her and our ambassador Jo Pavey at Jo and Gav Pavey's home. It was emotional for them both, but we hope this helps any runner, or soon to be runner, that there's a group out there that supports each other, no matter what, to inspire and be inspired.
