Despite playing six seasons in the NRL and four in the Championship, Bradford Bulls star Caleb Aekins only made his Super League debut this season. 

Since featuring in the club’s opening game away to Hull FC, Aekins has been an ever-present in featuring for the Bradford club, making big contributions on and off the field. 

After making his 150th career appearance against the Warrington Wolves yesterday, Aekins expressed his appreciation for coach Kurt Hagerty, saying that he loves the way he coaches and that the team's expansive playing style is really suited to him.

Whilst Aekins feels he is adapting and genuinely growing into the full back role at the Bulls with a number of positive contributions so far in 2026. 

Caleb believes that himself and the squad can learn from the game inconsistencies against the Wolves (slow start to both halves, too many errors with ball in hand), lessons that he believes will see the Bulls learn in sustaining performances for the full 80 minutes.

Kurt Haggerty has confirmed that Chris Atkins was shown a green card, despite dislocating his finger early in the 26-12 loss to Warrington.

The Bulls boss says that the fourth official admitted after the game that the decision to reduce Bradford down to 11 players was wrong due to the genuine injury.

During this crucial period of play, Warrington scored six points with Luke Thomas crossing for the Wolves. 

Kurt Haggerty said that conceding two tries in the opening ten minutes led to his side chasing the game, with poor executionand decision making playing a big part despite some pride and great work ethic on show as the Bulls fell short.

Kurt Haggerty was left with a mixture of emotions after watching his Bradford Bulls team return to winning ways against Hull FC this afternoon. 

He described the performance as a roller coaster with Kurt saying that the lack of cohesion in attack was a big factor in keeping the scoreboard close. 

Kurt confirms that Ethan Ryan failed his HIA after scoring his ninth try of the season and will now miss the trip to Warrington next week. 

He also says that Jayden Nikorima has picked up a calf injury that will be assessed during the week but it is thought not to be serious at this stage.
