This is it! Our final regular episode before the Summer Break. And we're leaving you with a pair of cliffhangers. In the Manga, after Ruby faces off against his dad, Sapphire ends up drowning far above ground!

Then, in the Anime we meet the Winstrates from the game, May gets a new Pokemon, Max meets a clone, and then it is time for a contest! But wait, there are some problems and we end right before the contest actually begins!

Stay tuned after the episode for some collisions of characters as Violet finally meets Murasaki...sort of. Three routes are blocked from converging thanks to a large sleeping Pokemon and it forces everyone to backtrack. But it isn't all bad when Violet learns that she's not as far behind as she thought.

Another gym down and now Ruby and Shea Locke have to say goodbye to the great theme song of Season 6 because now they are headed into the 2nd Season of Hoenn with Season 7 and a new theme song. Does it even have a chance to live up to last season? But it isn't all bad. As they cover 5 episodes of the season they end with a 2-parter that brings back a beloved character and has some epic moments. Then, to top it off, they cover 2 Chronicles and one of Shea's favorites shows up again and...a special guest joins the discussion.

Back to just Shea Locke and Ruby as they follow the both the Manga and Anime to the 3rd badge to catch up to where they're at in the video games of Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. In the Manga, we follow up with Ruby in the submarine against Magma before turning back to Sapphire who meets the Trick Master and Wattson. Together they all discover a hidden city.

Then, in the Anime, we get teased with the idea of Misty returning and we get lighthouses all before Ash confronts Wattson for his 3rd Hoenn Badge and we wrap up Season 6...which means Final Rankings! But there's more, as we then DO get to see Misty again in a Pokemon Chronicles episode where someone tries to date her.

Then, after the show, we continue on with Murasaki as he struggles to catch his first Pokemon.

This week we battle the Dewford Gym in the Manga and AGAIN in the Anime!

First, in the Manga, the wrong person runs into Steven and Ruby's Pokemon evolve while Sapphire prepares for her gym battle with Brawly.

Then, in the Anime, the final starter Pokemon of Hoenn is met...times a hundred. Corphish causes problems, Birch shows back up, and Jessie is in denial. Through more evolutions and a convergence of the three teams (Aqua, Magma, and Rocket) eventually leads the story back to Brawly and a secret arena where Ash tries again to earn that second badge.

This week we get to know Mr. Briney and his Wingull Peeko. First, in the Manga, we finally catch back up with Ruby with his rescuer, Mr. Briney and we get another hint at Ruby's capabilities as a Pokemon Trainer.

Then, in the Anime, after a run in with Team Aqua, the gang hitch a ride from Mr. Briney toward Dewford where they deal with a shark attack. Then Ash mirrors my own efforts at Brawly's gym and loses!

It is the start of a new season! Shea Locke and Ruby begin their exploration of the Hoenn Region in Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald where they find vibrant colors, a fancy Pokedex, and a huge improvement to the box system! While in Johto, Ruby and Shea decided to wrap up the Ruins of Alph and explore the rest of Slowpoke Well. Then they head back to Pewter City and work their way south through sparse Viridian Forest, Viridian City (Fight Club), and to Pallet Town. There we visit Red's mom, Blue's sister, and talk with Professor Oak who promises us something if we get all 8 of the Kanto Badges. Surfing south we find the the ruins of Cinnibar Island and are led to find a small cave on Seafoam Islands where we can battle Blaine for our 15th badge. We also use the Elite Four for some levelling and have an unexpected reunion.

Stay tuned after the episode to see what happens to Murasaki next in his forced climb up the Pokemon Tower and the mysterious ghost that is causing it.

Time to tackle another Kanto gym...but before that can happen we need to find a way to move Snorlax out of the way! A revisit to Lavender Town helps us out there. It doesn't take us long to get to Pewter City and Brock's gym. Ruby and Shea decide to head back to Johto and investigate the Waterfall in Mt. Mortar after a tip from the Black Belt hanging out inside the fighting gym in Saffron City. After some exploring there and a fun catch, there is another ride on the S.S. Aqua back to Kanto and a journey to challenge two more of the gyms there.

Violet finds someone who wants a trade and so it is back to the Pokemon Center where she reunites with a friend. But when it comes time to actually make the trade something comes up.

The Manga is heating up as the Gym Leader exhibiton match begins and all sorts of things are happening behind the scenes. Is Koga at the event? Entei chooses a trainer, Masked Man continues his plan to take control of Ho-oh and announce the return of Team Rocket at the event. And then everything is thrown into chaos when Masked Man appears and reveals who and what he is truly after!

Then, in the Anime, as Ash makes his way back to New Bark Town he reunites with a friend from his Orange Islands days and he gets another egg to hatch...but this poor Pokemon is having a tough time.

Then we tune back into Violet's journey as she meets some...enthusiastic individuals and not all are friendly.

It's time to go back to Kanto!!!!! But on the way, trainers are battled on the S.S. Aqua and a mystery is solved, leading Ruby and Shea Locke to gaining a Metal Coat. But once in Kanto, the duo find even more mystery. It seems there is a problem with Kanto's power and while on the one hand it makes getting to Lt. Surge much easier, it also explains why the Mag Train hasn't been running. That will be something that the father and daughter team will need to look into as they begin their journey to collect the eight Kanto Badges once again.

Now that we're back from the summer and have covered the final Pokemon movie of Johto it is time to go back to Kanto in Gold, Silver, and Crystal where Ruby and I search for a lost grandchild and return to Vermillion City where we find that some things are the same, plenty is different, and there seems to be something wrong in the region.

What happened to Violet after she went out the window? Well...we might find out. But first we meet a new character named Murasaki as he gets his Starter Pokemon and begins his own journey as a trainer. Though he seems a lot more focused on getting to Lavender Town than dealing with gyms...and that's when he can focus at all as he is distracted by something weird at the Game Corner.

This is a collection that starts by gathering all the Murasaki parts and putting a chunk of them at the beginning. Then we start to get back in line with the parts as they aired when we finally return to Violet. This collection ends with Part 46, the chapter done more like a Radio Drama. During this journey Violet is caught in a storm and hunts a mysterious Pokemon while Murasaki is confronted with a bully and...surprisingly wins a battle against him...sort of. Both Violet and Murasaki nearly cross paths as they both take underground tunnels that lay over one another. Then we have characters we met in our Halloween and Christmas specials show up. It is all connected. We catch up on all parts before heading back into the rest of our Season 2 Episodes where Part 47 will catch us up on Violet and her venture onto the S.S. Anne.
