Ever wonder what you’d get if you mixed hairspray, hedonism, and a healthy dose of delusion? Yeah, neither did we — but here we are. In this episode, we're diving headfirst into a glitter-soaked time capsule bursting with Aqua Net and spectacularly poor life choices, courtesy of... Pretty Boy Floyd. Yep, the Leather Boyz with Electric Toyz who made Poison look like undertakers. S2-Ep8: New York Dolls - Who Are The Mystery Girls??19 avr. 202501:18:44

This week, we stumble into the trash-glam chaos of the legendary New York Dolls. They swaggered into the '70s like drag queens at a biker bar—loud, lewd, and full of attitude! We’re breaking down the gloriously sloppy legacy of these proto-punk pioneers. Before there was punk, there were the Dolls: sloppy, stylish, and too fabulous to ever be forgotten.

Also a special segment dedicated to the late, great David Johansen—frontman, icon, lounge lizard. From his snarling days with the Dolls to his wild rebirth as Buster Poindexter, we celebrate his wild ride from the Bowery to the lounge act circuit, and everything in between.

S2-Ep7: Princess Pang & Betty Blowtorch - The Good, The Bad, and The Blowtorch!!06 avr. 202501:14:28

In the first half of the episode, we explore the world of Princess Pang, the short-lived but unforgettable sleaze rock band that burned bright in the late '80s. With a globe-spanning lineup and a frontwoman who could out-scream, out-strut, and out-rock most of the boys in the biz, Princess Pang hit the scene in the late '80s like a hairspray-fueled tornado. Princess Pang brought a raw, infectious energy to the scene—just as the glam metal wave was beginning to crash.

In the second half of the show, feel the pure DGAF chaos that was Betty Blowtorch—the all-girl band that made Mötley Crüe look like choir boys. We’re talking about the queens behind Are You Man Enough?, the album that that gifted the world with high-octane anthems like “Hell on Wheels,” “I Wanna Be Your Sucker,” and the eternal romantic ballad, “Shut Up and F***.” (If that title didn’t make your mom clutch her pearls, their live shows probably did.)

From Bianca “Butthole” Halstead’s gritty bass lines to their legendary tour van misadventures, Betty Blowtorch didn’t just push boundaries—they set them on fire. We’ll dig into their rise from Butt Trumpet spinoff to full-blown rock cult legends,, their brief but blazing trail through the early 2000s scene, and the tragically short journey of their fearless frontwoman. Betty Blowtorch proved that rock wasn’t just a boys’ club—it was a demolition derby, and they were here to raise hell.

S2-Ep 6: The Hollywood Brats - From Almost-Famous to Absolutely Infamous23 mars 202500:39:38

Before punk had a mohawk and before glam got glossy, there were The Hollywood Brats—the band that should have been the UK’s answer to the New York Dolls but ended up as rock ‘n’ roll’s best-kept secret. In this episode, we dive into the sneering, swaggering, and spectacularly doomed career of the Brats, a group so ahead of their time they practically time-traveled into obscurity.

From their reckless fashion choices to their run-ins with music industry apathy, we’ll unpack why their lone album (recorded in ’73, ignored until ’79) still sounds like a Molotov cocktail wrapped in leopard print. Were they glam? Proto-punk? Just really bad at networking? Tune in as we separate myth from mayhem and give The Hollywood Brats their belated street cred—though, let’s be real, they’d probably prefer a pint and a punch-up.

S2-Ep5: Spread Eagle: Scratch Like A Cat09 mars 202500:49:52

In the late ‘80s, when rock ‘n’ roll was drowning in hairspray and excess, Spread Eagle crashed the party like a steel-toed boot to the face. These guys weren’t just another glam band—they were the leather-clad, gutter-born antidote to the genre’s pretty-boy polish. While glam bands were busy primping, these NYC bruisers were cranking out raw, razor-sharp street metal that sounded like it crawled out of a back alley with a switchblade and a bad attitude.

In this episode, we dive into the band’s criminally underrated legacy. Were they too gritty for the glam crowd? Too sleazy for grunge? Or just the right band at the wrong time? Either way, Spread Eagle proved that sleaze metal wasn’t all lipstick and lace—it had teeth.

S2-Ep4: The Donnas: Take It Off!!23 févr. 202500:35:58

In this episode, we’re throwing it back to the late ‘90s and early 2000s with The Donnas—the all-girl rock band that proved girls just wanna have fun… and shred! From high school besties to full-fledged rock stars, these four women took their love of The Ramones, KISS, and AC/DC and turned it into a career packed with blistering riffs, rebellious anthems, and the kind of songs that make you want to break curfew.

We’ll cover their journey from high school garage band to MTV darlings, where they channeled their inner Ramones, out-party’d the pop-punk boys, and made sure everyone knew that girls could, in fact, shred just as hard—if not harder than the boys.

S2-Ep3: Sister Morphine & The Sweet Things - Waiting On Salvation09 févr. 202500:44:25

In this episode, we’re diving headfirst into stories of persistence, passion, and the rock ‘n’ roll spirit that just won’t quit—no matter how long it takes. After a mere 30-year hiatus (but who's counting?), Welsh rockers Sister Morphine finally unleashed their long-awaited debut album, Ghosts of Heartbreak City. Their blues-infused, hard-hitting riffs capture the essence of classic gutter rock with a fresh energy. But after three decades in the making... Was it worth the wait?

Meanwhile, across the pond in the city that never sleeps (and neither do they), The Sweet Things are keeping rock & rolls heart beating with their signature blend of sleazy glam, punk attitude, and just the right touch of country twang. Think whiskey-soaked swagger with a modern kick—because why choose between grit and groove when you can have both?
