Risk Worth Taking is a podcast about organisations, technology, and what happens when change arrives faster than expected. It is hosted by Adam Johnson and Peter Barnes, two practitioners who work with senior leaders on AI adoption and transformation.
Most organisations begin with the question of how to control AI. By the time that conversation starts, people are already using it, and most of them are trying to create value rather than risk. Adam and Peter start from a different question: what is actually happening inside the organisation?
Their conversations often begin with AI and quickly move to trust, ownership, accountability, and leadership. When an organisation says it has an AI problem, it frequently has a trust problem, an ownership problem, or a decision-making problem that AI has simply made visible. AI does not create new organisational weaknesses. It forces existing ones into the open, and it does so faster than before.
Each episode is an unscripted, practitioner-led discussion of the decisions leaders face as technology moves faster than the organisation can adapt. The aim is to help executives and transformation leaders make AI decisions that they can actually defend.
Understanding comes before control. Welcome to Risk Worth Taking.
