Buddie, can you spare a ticket?10 Nov 202500:55:34

The giddiness from last week was a one-off thanks to an absolutely shambolic performance on Thursday. We don't spend much time on that for obvious reasons.

The Killie game gets the usual "one half each" analysis before we move on to some new manager chat, and also raise some questions about our medical and sports science departments. Always remember that the board suggest we strive to be "world class" in everything we do. Guess what conclusion we reach about this aspect of the operation?

We then have a chat about the ticket allocation for the final, and it yields this week's episode title.

We finish with a bit of a trailer for another special episode next week and some gig chat (Well, when we say "chat" we mean "moaning")

Incidentally, the plan for the special episode is to include a Collective update and a bit of insight into what the AGM is likely to look like.

Read The Röhl Of Honour03 Nov 202501:01:48

It's fair to say it's a more upbeat podcast that in previous weeks. Sunday's game is obviously the main talking point, and we throw our weight behind the outrage at the refereeing performance in the Semi.

We then move on briefly to the game on Thursday and have a bit of a chat about the names in the frame for the permanent manager at the moment.

Quick chat about the Killie game and we acknowledge that the fixture is taking place on Remembrance Sunday in "traditional" RGC Podcast fashion.

The host nominates his RGC for this week, but is almost usurped by an excellent suggestion backed up by a great gag, but democracy prevails.

Thanks as always for downloading and listening. The numbers keep climbing as word spreads through the "Sellick Da-osphere" and we are so appreciative of your support

A good day to bury good news...22 Sep 202500:57:36

It's a busy pod with Thistle, Red Star, Steering Group and Celtic's accounts on the agenda.

Firstly, we appear to have had some sound issues that we'll try to get to the bottom of for the next record.

We look back on the Thistle game and briefly discuss the Red Star game this week.

As Paul is on the steering group we get a first-hand report on the early days of the campaign and we have a bit of a general chat about where it is going. The mood among the lads is still "cautiously optimistic". We then get a pod title from the discussion about the accounts as well

The RGC is a young man and his family from the host's home town and we get a lovely message from the family of another young man who passed too soon.

Poland, Protests & Penalties15 Sep 202500:51:33

It's a two-hander this week as our man in the east is in Poland and we *might* have taken advantage of his absence when it came to the RGC nominations for this week.

Chris gives a first-hand account of the 12-minute protest at Rugby Park, and we discuss the game and that last-minute penalty, which, as well as bagging all three points, upset all the right people. Nice.

Of course, we had to have a hearty chortle about events in Govan on Saturday and the WhatsApp group unpleasantness it triggered. And if that wasn't hilarious enough, then the Take The High Road Team Bonding Exercise just put a cherry on the cake.

With the steering group potentially moving forward this week, there may be some issues surrounding corporate governance getting discussed. Now, we know it's dull af, but if you'd like some of the corporate gobbledegook explained in layman's terms,  drop us an email at thergcpodcast@gmail.com and we'll ask Chris and Paul to try and make it interesting.

Finally there's a lot of discussion about who warrants being RGC this week, and we know someone isn't going to like it.

Cautiously optimistic...11 Sep 202500:40:00

As a follow-up to Tuesday's episode, we recorded a pod as we had a representative at Wednesday night's meeting, our man in the east, corporate schill, and all round good guy, Paul.

He gives a brief summary of what happened, and it wouldn't be an RGC pod if we didn't flex our "cynical aul' gits" muscles, so we do voice a few concerns. That said, all of the concerns are ones that we feel can be easily addressed and overcome.

As the pod title suggests, we are cautiously optimistic that we are on the right road.

Just when we thought we were out...09 Sep 202501:08:31

They drag us back in.

Welcome to The Godfather 3 podcast. The plan to take advantage of the International break went up in flames thanks to an "accidental" leak of a conversation about the manager, followed up by a simply incredible statement, released at ten to nine on Saturday night. A statement sponsored by Chateauneuf-De-Pape and Chat GPT by the sound, length and accuracy of it.

Chris Paul and Jim discuss both events and we also got some input from Kieron O'Connor, the man behind the excellent football finance site @swissramble on social media.

Unsurprisingly, his expert view on the statement is exactly the same as the "amateur" view of almost every Celtic fan who read it.

There's plenty of moaning, some discussion around what next for the fans in terms of attempting to effect change. There's a consultation document here that we'd encourage fans to engage with

https://forms.gle/F2hwGqkiiQCeTbDc7

We then finish with our suggestion of how a new board set up should look.

We won't lie, it may sound a bit dry, but if you want change, you should have some idea what you want that change to look like.

Thanks as always for the support

If you thought Sunday was bad...02 Sep 202501:05:13

I don't think any of us were quite prepared for the clusterf*ck of the closure of the transfer window.

We start by discussing Sunday to set the (bad) mood for the rest of the pod. Concerns are raised about both the manager and the captain, and our apparent inability to get up for big games. That's the last five where we've not shown up.

Surely the last day of the transfer window would cheer us up? Well, it didn't and don't call me Shirley. As you can imagine, the board and the major shareholder take a bit of a kicking and we resign ourselves to the fact that those actually responsible will suffer no consequences for the transfer window shambles.

We do discuss what options are open to fans who want to register their disgust and it boils down to "Do whatever feels right for you"

Chris manages to eke out a very worthy RGC from an unlikely source.

Sadly, we stopped recording before we got a chance to mention Mick Rice, a good Tim from Belfast, a barman in one of London's hidden gems, who was laid to rest today.

Go easy Mick

Always look on the bright side of life...? Erm... Naw27 Aug 202500:56:03

As promised, here is the European "Special" if it can be called that.

We decided to get someone on the pod who might genuinely have an idea what he is talking about when it comes to squad dynamics, player performances and what effect uncertainty can have on a club.

We therefore got ex-pro, ex-asst manager and all-round good guy, Davie Farrell to talk about the events of the last week.

It's not cheery listening in some ways, but Davie is always worth listening to and he does end on an upbeat note so there is that...

With apologies to Burns, we are "Nursing our wrath to keep it warm"25 Aug 202500:37:46

That's Rabbie, not Tommy, of course...

An executive decision was made last week that this episode would only focus on Saturday's game and events domestically. There will be another pod later in the week dealing with all things European.

With Chris on holiday, it's a two-hander, so as we're only discussing the Livvy game, the mood in the camp is pretty cheery, helped by a good second half performance and "events" in Edinburgh and Paisley.

There is frustration that we can't claim credit for christening a certain manager "Terry Vegetables", but that's the only negative in this recording. We're hoping that later in the week, the next pod will be equally upbeat.

The RGC award goes to two people this week, and you'll fully understand why when you hear the reason.

A big week after a big sesh18 Aug 202500:56:07

Three men of a certain age are still feeling tender after the RGC day out, so that, allied to the usual complaints about the board, it's a bit of a subdued episode.

We discuss Friday's very cheery and entertaining game against Falkirk, and then discuss the CL qualifier. Two of the team are very confident, the other has some residual Celtic in Europe PTSD, which means he's a little less bullish about the tie.

There's a bit of a preview of the Livvy game, and we agree that the outcome of Wednesday's game will determine the approach to that one.

We have an enthusiastic and animated discussion about the exciting transfer rumours, and that's a complete f*cking lie.

We do have a bit of self-indulgent chat about our day out, but it does give us a chance to talk about Saturday's games and a certain penalty shoot-out. As a result of that discussion a certain Premier League manager will now be known as "The SFC". Regular listeners will have a fair idea who that will be.

Paul suggests the RGC of the week and rarely has anyone deserved the award more.

As always, thanks for your continued support and please feel free to tell the grumpy Sellick Da or Ma about the pod.

Four quid pies and wee beady eyes11 Aug 202500:51:25

Another increase in the giddyness quotient this week.

We discuss Sunday's game and it's broadly positive and actually, there is genuine positivity when we discuss the performances of Maeda, mind you, it's somewhat balanced out when we discuss Idah and Scales, but overall, even the horror of the four quid Pittodrie Pie can't dampen the lads' enthusiasm.

Like Sportscene on Saturday, three old blokes discuss the other results at the weekend, with one result in particular getting slightly more attention than the others. Our efforts to have that section sponsored by Biffa Skip Hire were in vain, sadly.

There's a brief moan about the board, but we're conscious that we're just rehashing the previous week's content. We'll try to steer clear of the subject until the window closes.

We have a chat about this Friday's game, and then Paul does a deep tactical dive into the threat posed by one of the players in one of our potential CL qualification opponents. It's a level of insight you won't get on any other podcast

As always, we are grateful for your support, and please spread the word if there's an old, miserable Tim in your life.  It's the echo chamber that miserable Tim b***ards everywhere have been waiting for.

A full 18% cheerier than last week's episode04 Aug 202500:59:20

A slightly more upbeat episode this week. (Only slightly mind you)

We discuss the Flag Day victory against St Mirren and reflect on Brendan's Friday press conference, which did have a whiff of "Back me or I'm off" about it.  There's a bit of actual xG chat but largely in a "point and laugh" context when discussing the game at Motherwell at the weekend.

Sunday's game against Aberdeen gets a preview of sorts and there's some chat about the CL draw and ticket prices for the upcoming games.

When the calculations of how much money it costs to follow Celtic home and away are discussed, one of the contributors suffers a bit of an existential crisis. It does allow the host to clamber onto his "matching fan's ambitions" high horse.

Ever mindful of the RGC curse, there's a unanimous recipient of the award this week.

As always, we are grateful for your support and kind words. If there is a miserable "Sellick Da" type figure in your life, then feel free to let them know about the pod

We need to talk about Brendan... (again)28 Oct 202500:47:13

Thanks to Celtic and Desmond releasing statements half an hour after last night's episode went live it rendered the recording somewhat out of date.

The only thing we could do in the circumstances was get the gang back together to discuss last night's events and our new (old) caretaker manager. Davie Farrell gives a bit of insight into the discussions around a "change in direction". between a club's board and its management team.

We also have a chat about what we would like to see as a permanent replacement for Rodgers.

All we can hope for now is that Brendan waits a couple of days before he issues his rebuttal, as we can't be arsed recording another podcast.

Surely no’ Deja vu again?28 Jul 202500:53:55

Sadly it’s a familiar theme in what should have been an upbeat pre-season episode.

Three grumpy Tims of a certain vintage railing against Dermot and the unacceptable way he's running the show. Even the new Dundee manager making a James Hunt of his first few weeks in the job isn't enough to lift our mood.

Hopefully, in a few weeks time we'll look back at this recording and laugh.

The RGCs are back, and they're grumpy af09 Jul 202500:55:49

Yes, the RGC lads are back for a Summer Special, but if you're looking for laughs from a Summer Special, then you're probably better off buying the one The Beano releases.

We talk about the impact on the squad of the departures this close season and discuss the arrival of what appears to be a number of projects in the window thus far.

Our absentee Irish landlord and his transfer fee ceiling and his tatouazophobia* come in for some criticism too.

The lads discuss the best resolution for the "Brendan issue" and suggest that some better communication from the club would be nice, rather than a succession of announcements about Santa Ponsa friendly clobber.

It's fair to say that the mood of the contributors has not changed much since the Cup Final

That Rev I.M.Jolly fella is a right laugh04 Jun 202501:03:21

Well, compared to the RGC lads Rev I.M. Jolly is a ray of f*cking sunshine. Maybe it's entitlement but in a season where we won the league and the League Cup and did okay in the CL, it's a very downbeat episode.

None of us has shaken off that absolute shambolic cup final performance and there's not a huge amount of confidence that the summer is going to cheer us up.

The manager's contract position is a concern as the idea of him running down his contract isn't one that any of the lads want to see.

We also have a cheerier section where we celebrate the appointment of two RGC Pod "favourites" to their new roles at their respective clubs.

By the end of the pod we're all in a better mood just in time for one RGC suggestion to be shot down as "birthday caird pish".

We're taking a wee break until things start up again or something big happens (We're not holding our breath) but before we go, a huge thanks to you all for all your support and the (mainly positive) feedback.

Have a great summer everyone

Mad John Cometh19 May 202501:02:39

It's a packed programme

The host's professionalism is tested

We have pre-match pints with two Pat Nevins and a Mad John

Post-match nonsense in the Press Bar with a somewhat pished host recording a "drop in" from a special guest

There's a discussion about the supposed East End War zone, and we offer a simple solution.

We have a cup final preview and some chat about the managerial merry-go-round.

And for Southside Tims, there's an RGC you will undoubtedly agree is worthy of the honour.

It's a miracle...12 May 202500:39:43

As the host was otherwise disposed and our man in the East was poncing about up that Italy our man in the West is the only one of the team who saw Saturday's 90 minutes.

Not a huge amount to say about the game. Was it a bafflingly toothless performance from Hibs, or was it really professional game management by Celtic?

We have a chat about Wednesday's "gonnae gie wee Jamesey a goal mister" match against Aberdeen and then the lads make their plans for Saturday's trophy presentation against St Mirren.

We then have a bit of discussion about the Cup Final and discuss the miracle of the ticket allocation, and we might have a word with this week's RGC to identify exactly where we should build the shrine.

With Hearts on the verge of appointing a new manager, Chris and Jim poke Paul with a stick,  despite his pre-record protestations that he wouldn't rise to the bait, he did.

All Tan No Man...05 May 202500:57:16

It could have been another giddy pod had Maeda made the right decision but he gets a pass as he's got a LOT of credit in the bank.

We have our very own Kate Adie's report from behind the Tarrier barrier, and our reflections from the game. We all get the fear when we consider who the back four will be in the game at the weekend against Hibs.

There's a moan about tickets for the cup final, and the host shamelessly tries to get one of the contributors to rise to the bait about a certain manager being linked with his second "favourite" club.

There is also a unanimous RGC candidate this week, an unseen Fenian hero.

The Steven Pre55ley Appreciation Podcast (No' really)28 Apr 202500:50:06

As you can imagine, the mood on the pod this week is officially giddy AF.

We have a great time talking about Saturday's game, have a moan about Sky and their presenters pulling players away from the celebrations so they can ask them mundane questions at time up.

We return briefly to the issue of ticket prices and applaud the two protests during the game although we do feel sorry for the poor b*stard who had to blow up all those "Stolen from Sports Direct" fitbaws.

All in all, we make a bit of a fu55 about another league title win and a win that was as sweet as they come.

We have a laugh at Hearts and their goalkeeper in particular. The news about one of the names in the frame for Critchley's replacement results in a quite incredible rant from one of the regular contributors. (No prizes for guessing who).

And of course we have a chat about this weekend's Glasgow Derby as we will have one of the team behind the Tarrier Barrier on Sunday

We go outside the Celtic family for this week's RGC, and we finish by talking about shoe shops of yesteryear. It's quite the episode.

Any sperr tickets?21 Apr 202500:51:43

A two handed episode this week as Chris joins Jim as Paul is having a mid-life crisis in Santa Ponsa.

We have a message from the Remy McSwain fan club and reflect on Sunday's semi-final  and we couldn't miss an opportunity to have a chuckle at the Jambos and Chris revels in a Craig Gordon "masterclass" from the other semi.

That brings us to a preview of Saturday's game at Tannadice, and we then have a discussion about ticketing in general from home matches, cup semis and finals to away games in general.

In truth, it's more a moan than a discussion but we do believe it is time that the ticket situation in Scottish Football in general needs addressed.

As always, your continued positive feedback is really appreciated and if you think you know someone in the Sellick Da/Maw demographic who would enjoy the pod then let them know about it.

The "Baffled by technology" extra episode16 Apr 202500:23:14

An extra "mini-pod", recorded as a test of yet another recording set-up by the useless aul' b*stard of a host. Fingers crossed that it works.

We decided to have a chat about who gives Maeda any kind of run for his money in the Player Of The Year stakes and it's fair to say that second place was a LONG way back.

In fairness, at least there were a few candidates for second place, as when we considered Young Player Of The Year, we stumbled across a subject for a close-season podcast about our development and signing of young players.

And today's man of the match is... WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK14 Apr 202500:45:13

We've mixed it up a bit this week.

As Chris was in Manchester for the weekend and Jim seized the chance to use his seat, we have a stand-in host for this week's episode. (With Taylor making his return to the starting lineup, it was probably for the best.)

We reflect on a great first-half performance on Saturday and a perfunctory second half. A remarkable explanation is offered about the Man Of The Match award by the stand-in host to end the reflection on that game.

We salute St Mirren for consigning Hearts to the bottom six, and we identify the man responsible for the equaliser at Pittodrie.

Finally, we look forward to Sunday's semi-final, where we are hoping for a performance and passage to the final, setting up a treble and of course, we are entirely confident that the new ticketing system will not mean there will be utter f*cking carnage at the turnstiles.

As always we appreciate all of your positive feedback and support, it really means a lot to us.

We need to talk about Brendan...27 Oct 202501:01:25

With Britain's biggest "Soor face c*nt" fan away in Italy this week we asked Davie Farrell to step in for this week's recording.

Chris and Davie pick over the bones of the horror show at Tynecastle, and as you can imagine, there's not a lot of positives to be taken from the performance.

That leads us on to a discussion about the manager and his future, for Chris, the "bawhair" that he was hanging on with last week has gone, and Davie is inclined to see what the next two games deliver, let's just say neither of them is convinced by the other's argument.

The host sits on the fence like a right prick...

One thing that all three contributors could agree on is that none of them is approaching the semi-final on Sunday with confidence.

Last week's figures showed a nice increase (needless to say, the ex-pro was claiming the credit for the rise), so we thank each and every one of you who listened. Feel free to spread the word even further

Triggered by a w*nkstain07 Apr 202500:50:57

Welcome to this week's pod.

The "gid-ometer" should have been off the f*cking charts after Saturday's fixtures, however...

Despite pre-record protestations we had all calmed down after Sunday's game it didn't take much to get us foaming at the mouth after an absolutely abject performance in Perth.

After a cathartic discussion of the St Johnstone game the  pod host *may* have triggered one of the contributors when we started talking about Saturday's game against Killie.

It's fair to say there's not as much grumpiness on our first proper pod since "that" game. Well, we say that, bearing in mind both Gordon and Shankland were playing for the opposition on Saturday then there's *some* grumpiness.

We have a chat about people leaving the game early and ticketing issues. Should fans have the ability to give up their seat a few times a year to allow people on the waiting list to get to games.

There's a bit of discussion about the club using AI when we have so many creative talents in our fanbase, the club will use their work in the future.

Finally, somebody who knows what they're talking about24 Mar 202500:57:07

As it is International Week and  there was no game we got a guest in. A man who played in the SPL and had an 18-year professional football career and coached too and he's a right good c*nt into the bargain, Dennistoun's finest Davie Farrell.

We quickly realise that the three regular podders are still pissed off after last Sunday and Davie gives us an idea why it went so wrong on the day.

There's a bit of chat about referees and you'll be shocked at Davie's view on the current batch of Scottish whistlers.

It's a bit of a change of pace but hopefully you'll enjoy it.

Well, that was f**king pish wasn't it?17 Mar 202500:51:52

It won't surprise you to hear that the "g" in Pod xG this week isn't Guinness, it's Grumpiness.

We reflect (well, rant) on the events of Sunday, as you can imagine there's not a lot of positivity and no one escapes without criticism and that includes the manager.

The only light moment comes courtesy of a "Toon Tim" Ricky as we got his on-the-whistle reaction to their win. (It seemed like a good idea at the time and after eight pints)

We are pretty sure that this week has seen the demise of the "RGC Curse" and that has been reflected in the RGC award this week. It also leads into a chat about Policing and let's just say that Paul's "I don't want to get political" statement before he started talking goes a little awry.

As always we are so incredibly grateful for your kind words and support. If there's a Tim in your life who you think fits the demographic (Old, grumpy, Sellick Da and Mas) let them know about the pod.

Sunshine on f*cking Leith ya cheeky c*nt10 Mar 202500:49:34

The boys reflect on the Hibs cup game but not until we had the pleasure of listening to the view from the Hibs end delivered with frankly magnificent levels of profanity by, friend of the pod, Raymondo Broon.

Ahead of this Sunday's game against "Thaym", we discuss our view of the away ticket situation and give an unbiased and balanced preview of how we think the game will go.

As a bit of a spoiler, we did get nervous about the prospect of facing a managerial heavyweight after Chris digs out a "combined 11" prepared by "Broon brogue Barry" in 2016, showing the level of football knowledge he is bringing to Sunday's game.

Welcome To The Sweeney Section04 Mar 202500:51:56

The pod starts on a more sombre note as Chris pays tribute to Sweeney, an RGC who passed away at the weekend.

We then look back at the Aberdeen and St Mirren games and then have a chat about Sunday's game against Hibs.

There's then the inaugural "Sweeney Section" where we have a cheery wee "point and laugh" at Trackie Baz and say a heartfelt goodbye to The Baldy Banger.

On the 31st anniversary of the takeover, we pay tribute to the man who put the wheels in motion for a period of domination of Scottish football that no one saw coming on the 4th of March 1994 (For some reason, we all thought it was 30 years ago, probably our age)

Farewell To The Man Behind The Wire24 Feb 202500:49:51

Celtic out of the Champions League?

An away defeat to Hibs with a questionable VAR decision?

A recipe for a downbeat pod recording you would think, however...

An incredibly cheery podcast where we reflect on the two games with a special guest all round good guy Martin from Mogwai who watched the game with one of the hosts in Leeds Irish Centre. There is a LOT of 'Espanyolification' chat as we say a fond farewell to The Baldy Banger and say an enthusiastic hello, hello to the Staunch Squad.

As always we thank you for your kind words we all really appreciate your support

There's white smoke coming from the chimney17 Feb 202500:44:37

The curse is real...

The episode title will make sense when you get to the RGC nomination at the end of the pod. Before then we cover both Bayern games and reflect on Saturday's game against The Arabs.

We also chat about Saturday's game against Hibs and how one of the podcast team will go "Prawn sandwichless" as he won't be able to attend.

It does allow the other two podders to go in two-footed on his Hibee mates none of whom are Pat Nevin we are assured.

And there's a wee "point and laugh" at The Baldy Banger and something for Divorced Sellick Das as well

As always thanks for the kind words and support we truly appreciate it

God Save The Queens10 Feb 202500:41:09

It's episode 13 and it's unlucky for some...

Mind you the people it's unlucky for are not Celtic fans. There's some reflection on the Raith Rovers game, some chat about the Bayern game and it's fair to say there's not a huge amount of confidence from any of the lads. We also have a bit of chat about the NEDs in the Celtic boardroom (This is not Buckfast related content)

Now, we know some Celtic fans do not think we should ever discuss "thaym" on a Celtic pod and if that's how you feel then maybe this isn't the pod for you.

Discussing Celtic will always be what we like doing most, however...

There are weeks where something so f**king hilarious happens over in Govan that we'd be remiss in our GIRUY duties not to mention it. Needless to say this week's RGC is from a team that plays in hoops

Heal Heal The Celts are Here06 Feb 202500:28:36

An extra pod this week for two reasons

1) To try a new platform to record the pod to deal with the sound issues of the last few weeks

2) To allow Chris and Paul to deal with their differences in a safe and healing environment

It appears to have worked on both counts (We think)

We reflect on the Dundee game, we throw forward to the cup game against Raith,  there's a bit of chat about the transfer window and we wonder whose fault it was. We are pretty sure that's not against the     Law. Well,      that's the episode, hope you enjoy it.

The Honda Civic Owners Club have their say...21 Oct 202501:00:52

What are we worried about?

Quite a f*cking lot by the sounds of this episode.

Paul is off on his travels, so Davie Farrell joins us this week to discuss Sunday's game and the squad in general. It's fair to say this isn't a cheery, upbeat listen.

No one at the club, including the manager and the captain, escapes criticism. Thanks to Davie's insight, we are pretty confident that the criticism has some weight to it and isn't just "bin ra lorra 'em" (Although it does sound a bit like that)

In fairness, this is a pod to be endured rather than enjoyed, but it does at least attempt to identify where the issues are and provide some suggestions about what we should be doing next.

We finish with a bold prediction from Davie, and an optical and fried dough product expert gets this week's RGC Award

Do you want shot or stabbed?04 Feb 202500:40:30

Firstly we hope there are none of the sound issues we had last week.

The idea behind this pod was that it would have the vibe of three lads (Old blokes)  talking about Celtic in the pub after the game.

Well, we probably nailed it this week as, like a good pub conversation we had two polar opposite opinions and someone in the middle saying "Come on boys, we've all had a drink". It won't surprise you to learn that it was this transfer window that provoked a heated debate*

*Not that heated, we're too old for that shit

You say goodbye and I say hello27 Jan 202500:42:17

Here's episode 10 of the podcast they are calling "WTF? Another Celtic podcast?"

Jim Burke your host welcomes Paul and Chris where we talk about a nerve-shredding night at Celtic Park, a fortuitous cancellation and our trip to Villa Park.

We also discover that Chris has another nemesis this time it's not a left-back from Ayrshire but an Oscar winner from California

There's a fond farewell to a Celtic hero and a warm welcome to a returning hero.

The host had some issues with his internet connection so there may be the odd bit of audio f*ckery my apologies but I'm an old man.

Thanks again for your support, and feel free to tip the nod to people you think might enjoy it, you know who I mean, auld people

The Derek McInnes Fan Club21 Jan 202500:46:31

Yes, we are a day late as the day jobs got in the way and Chris got stuck in traffic apparently.

We discuss the game at Dens Park and the game against Killie has Paul penning a love letter to his Brand New Friend before he goes to see some band, apparently they wouldn't be My Bag.

The Champions League game against Young Boys is previewed (Spoiler Alert Host is nervous, guests are both confident)

We finish on a chat about misfiring strikers a subject we hope sorts itself out this coming week.

A heartfelt thanks for your support so far, we're all chuffed to bits with the feedback so please subscribe and let people know about the pod if you are enjoying it.

Going For 5513 Jan 202500:56:26

In a frankly childish effort at a futile GIRUY, we attempted to produce a 55-minute pod.

We hit the crossbar but we still managed to talk about last week's games, a very brief preview of our visit to Dens and then we stumbled across the identity of the man who our chums in Govan should turn to in order to turn their club around...

Chris and Paul join host Jim for the pod that people are calling "Another f***ing Celtic podcast?"

Paradise By The Dashboard Light (Shettleston version)06 Jan 202500:41:26

Oddly enough there isn't the same upbeat tone of previous pods this week.

Jim, Chris and Paul reflect on an absolute shocker of a performance in the derby.

Sunday's game is discussed (Paul picks up his first yellow of the season) and we look forward to Wednesday's game against Dundee United.

Finally, there's a chat about Brendan's diversion tactics and Jim has to use his "Host's veto" in the end of pod RGC discussion.

The "Sponsored by Acme" Episode30 Dec 202400:44:14

It's just Jim and Chris this week as Paul was off poncing round Berlin. We take the opportunity to look back at a great week on the park for Celtic.

We don't miss the opportunity to have a right laugh at Wile E. Coyote FC and look forward to this week's two games and we also don't miss the opportunity to go in two-footed on Paul when discussing the RGC of the year.

Thank you for downloading and listening and may you have a great new year hopefully with the tone for the year being set on the 2nd of January.

All Hail The Baldy Banger24 Dec 202400:39:39

The first pod after a disappointing result and as you can imagine the three pod lads get whipped up into a frenzied state of "Can everybody calm the f*** doon"

There's a look back at Tannadice, a hearty chuckle at "Thur's been a statement" issued from the top of the marble staircase and a quick look forward to the next two home games.

Finally, we have our first, posthumous RGC award

Mogwai Fear Santa16 Dec 202400:46:08

It's a bit of a giddy pod reflecting on the cup final as you can imagine

Jim and Paul talk karaoke. Chris outs a member of a famous Scottish band as a massive Tory but mainly it's three Tims revelling in another cup final victory.

We have a bit of a chat about the upcoming transfer window, amazingly Chris would like Celtic  to sign a left back even if it one that used to play for us

Episode 3 of RGC - A Celtic Podcast and it's a little longer than usual.  Two games to reflect on and two big games to look forward to plus we reflect on how prescient last week's pod title turned out. Contains gig reviews, advice to Glasgow Uber drivers on how to get a tip and a story of an encounter with a famous Spurs fan.

Minutes in 120 minutes09 Oct 202502:01:07

Our man in the meeting, Paul, performs a podcast tour de force as he walks us through the minutes of Monday's meeting.

It won't surprise anyone that the minutes weren't the whole story of the meeting, and Paul fills in some blanks. It has to be stressed that Paul is only speaking in a personal capacity, and how he managed to keep going and make it interesting is a miracle.

Chris and Jim mainly repeat back what Paul has just said to give him a bit of a breather

It's a long record, but there was really no way we could do it justice and keep it under an hour.

Hope you enjoy it

Episode 1 The Meat Loaf Pod25 Nov 202400:36:08

Welcome to the first episode of RGC Celtic

It's a two-hander with host Jim welcoming Artist Formerly Known As Remy McSwain, Paul T decided that seeing some band that 8 people have heard of to boost his "I was into them before they got big" credentials

Chris and Jim discuss the events of the weekend and it is agreed that we picked the perfect week to start a Celtic pod. Celtic victory, Aberdeen Defeat and a soul-destroying draw for "thaym" at Ibrox

We've had better weeks...07 Oct 202500:49:27

First of two pods this week.

There's a brief discussion about the meeting between the Collective and Celtic that we'll cover in more depth once the minutes are available. There is some frustration that certain people weren't able to wait for the collective to release their view on the meeting.

Anyway... We then had a nice change of pace when we discussed the Braga game, and then moved on to the Motherwell game on Sunday. Neither is a particularly upbeat discussion as you can imagine.

There's then a bit of a discussion about the manager's position, again, not exactly cheery.

If you have any questions you'd like Paul to answer about Monday's meeting on the basis that he was actually there then post it on our Blue Sky / Twitter accounts or email us at the address below

Singing in the rain... Well not for the first 12 minutes at least29 Sep 202500:47:04

Change of host this week. Chris takes the "I was south of the border, so wasn't at the game" role. He was in Manchester, we think he might have been at a gig and unlike an un-umerellaed Jim as he walked into town after the game he was thinking Please Don't Stop The Rain (wee clue where he was on Saturday night there)

Jim had Chris's seat and hooked up with Paul after the game, where they were reasonably positive about the team's performance, and that carried on into Monday's recording.

We have a bit of discussion about the protests, and there's a little bit of follow-up to the DAF (Dull as fuck) edition from last week, and tentative plans are made that may result in a Pod day out at the AGM.

As always, we are grateful for your kind words, and thank you for all the positive feedback about the DAF episode.
