After leaving y’all hanging for a month, we’re finally getting back to the story. One phone call, four hours of catching up, and one unexpected question, “When can I see you?” led to a four-hour drive and an emotional reunion I’ll never forget. For the first time in over a month, I was face-to-face with someone from a very complicated chapter of my life… and suddenly, everything felt real.

Some relationships don’t end with hate. Sometimes there’s still love, history, attachment, and feelings but that doesn’t mean you belong together.

In this episode, I’m unpacking last night’s emotions, old wounds, mixed signals, and the realization that you can still care about someone without going back.

No names. No exposing anyone’s story. Just my perspective, my truth, and everything that exists in the gray area.

Tonight’s episode is a little different because I sat down with someone who knows me way too well… because yes, y’all… this was my ex!🤪😂

We talked about our history, relationships, mistakes, loyalty, growth, prison, the things that happened between us, and where we stand now.

There were questions I probably should’ve thought twice about asking, answers I definitely wasn’t expecting, and a few moments where we both had to be completely honest.

No script. No rehearsed answers. No pretending.

Just two people with a whole lot of history finally having the conversations we probably should’ve had a long time ago, which we have but this one is raw.

And because he told me nothing was off limits… I made sure of it. 😂

This one is personal. This one is real.

Life has taken some unexpected turns lately, and before we get back into the story, I have a few things to catch y’all up on.

And if you haven’t figured it out yet… this story is about John, Jordyn’s dad.

I met my son’s father in prison, and trust me, that’s only the beginning.

We’re going back to where it all started and finally getting to the story behind that phone call: “I’ve been looking for you…” and other banter!

Addiction doesn’t just affect the person struggling, it affects everyone around them.

In this episode, we’re talking about the family dynamic, the lies, broken promises, enabling, resentment, and the things that happen behind the scenes that the person struggling may not even realize.

Because when one person is battling addiction, the whole family feels it. 🖤🎙️

But we’re picking the story back up exactly where we left off…

I walked out of that unit, sat in my car, and completely broke down. The silence after leaving was louder than anything I had experienced. I had questions, I had emotions, and I had no idea if I would ever hear from him again.

Until the plot twists started coming.

A message from his mom. A conversation with someone from his past. Information I didn’t know. Red flags I probably should have seen. And then, three weeks later, one message changed everything.

Because sometimes you think a story has ended… until your phone rings.

After shutting down the idea of talking to an inmate, I realize the problem isn’t him anymore, it’s the fact that the thought of him won’t leave me alone.

What starts as curiosity slowly turns into tension, awareness, denial, and a prison full of people noticing before I’m willing to admit it myself.

This episode dives into emotional walls, prison politics, accidental contact, and the terrifying realization that maybe.. just maybe.. this connection was not one-sided.
