7.9 Worldwork Reimagined29 Jul 202600:46:36

Season 7 Episode 9: Worldwork Reimagined with Michelle Davis

Throughout this powerful conversation, Michelle Davis, CRR Global's Director of Strategic Worldwork and podcast host Katie Churchman reimagine what worldwork could look like if it were embodied and lived. As opposed to being something we do, how can worldwork be an expression of how we relate to  people, projects and the world around us?

Worldwork (originally conceptualized by Dr. Arnold Mindell and Dr. Amy Mindell) is a systemic approach and awareness stance for engaging with human relationship systems. It brings attention to both the individual and the collective, helping people work with the dynamics of conflict, identity, culture, emotion and power. Worldwork draws from psychology, ecology and social theory to understand how personal experience and larger social forces shape the way groups, partnerships, communities and organizations evolve. It also helps us to notice how a system expresses itself through roles, signals, patterns and emotional fields.

Worldwork Reimagined recognizes that each of us continually influences the systems we inhabit, whether we are aware of it or not. Although this influence can lead to significant acts of service or community engagement, worldwork always begins with the self. Personal awareness, responsibility and intentional choice form the foundation of meaningful systemic impact.

Michelle Davis is a leadership coach, systems thinker, and champion for connection across differences. As Director of Strategic Worldwork and a faculty member at CRR Global, Michelle empowers leaders and teams to bridge divides, transform conflict and co-create a more just future. With a background in counseling and deep expertise in relationship systems coaching, she helps groups surface hidden barriers and build authentic, purpose-driven collaboration. Guided by values of justice, integrity and love, Michelle is here to help us reimagine what’s possible—together.

7.7 Grief as a Portal to the Dream 01 Jul 202600:37:24

Season 7 Episode 7: Grief as a Portal to the Dream with Marita Fridjhon.

Grief is everywhere right now. Across the globe, people are mourning what has been lost—lives, livelihoods, ecosystems, certainties and futures they once imagined would be possible. Some losses are sudden and visible. Others are slow, ambiguous and harder to name. What makes this moment particularly challenging is that much of the grief we are carrying has no clear ritual, no shared language and no agreed-upon timeline. We are grieving while still expected to perform, adapt, and move forward.

In systems, unacknowledged grief does not disappear. It goes underground. And from there, it shapes behavior, culture and decision-making. To work with the dreaming nature of systems, we must learn to meet grief not as an obstacle, but as a portal.

Marita Fridjhon is the co-founder of CRR Global and co-creator of Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC™), the first systems coaching methodology accredited by the International Coaching Federation. A veteran coach and respected thought leader, Marita has spent more than three decades developing approaches that strengthen systemic intelligence in individuals, teams and organizations. She serves as a mentor and inspiration to a growing global community of practitioners in relationship systems work.

Marita’s current work focuses on Systems Inspired Evolution, an approach centered on meeting, revealing, aligning and attending to the unseen dynamics that shape collective behavior. She is the co-author of the books Systems Inspired Leadership and Creating Intelligent Teams and the co-creator of the Systems Inspired Supervision model together with Sunčica Getter.

S6. Bonus Episode: The Journey to Becoming a Coach Supervisor.

In this bonus episode on Systems Inspired™ coaching supervision, Katie speaks with coach, facilitator and certified coaching supervisor, Katy Stone about her journey.

Key takeaways from this episode:

  • Coaching supervision is a space for coaches to refresh and renew themselves, a reflective practice and developmental environment where coaches can explore who they want to become as coaches. Great supervision offers a playground for this exploration.
  • The body is a resource to guide our supervisory approach. We recognize that, as supervisors, we are tools for others' learning and growth.
  • Supervision offers ways to unlock the power of the ‘inner supervisor’ within ourselves.
  • Coaching supervision is a process rather than a product. We can embrace and learn from the inherently intelligent, generative and creative supervisory relationship.

Katy Stone, MA, LPC, PCC, ESIA is a systems-inspired coach, facilitator, and certified coaching supervisor, She supports individuals, leaders and their teams, couples and parents, and coaches to engage more fully with their own wisdom, navigate relational complexity, and co-create transformative change. Katy partners with clients seeking greater alignment, emotional fluency, and systemic awareness. Her approach invites clients to engage the emotional, somatic, and energetic intelligence within their systems in service of authentic and life-giving action.

Katy holds credentials as an Organization and Relationship Systems Certified Coach (ORSCC), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and a certified coaching supervisor. S6. Bonus Episode: Holding Space in Coaching Supervision 26 Nov 202500:32:19

Season 6 Bonus Episode

Holding Space in Coaching Supervision.

In this bonus episode, Katie speaks with Director of Continuous Development Sunčica Getter about Systems Inspired™ supervision, why this resource is so important for professional coaches, and developing your inner supervisor.

Key takeaways from this episode:

  • Supervision allows us to access new levels of awareness and hold them with a sense of intrigue and compassion. It is a powerful space that creates connection and reflection.
  • Supervision is a slower, holding space that allows us to pause and recognize themes and patterns at individual and collective levels.
  • We are instruments in our own work, so we must take care of ourselves. In this space, we can rest, restore and bring to the surface patterns that may not be visible to us.
  • When we develop an inner supervisor, we can bring that greater awareness into many areas of our lives, helping shift patterns within ourselves and the systems in which we live and work.
  • Patience and pause are essential parts of supervision. Supervision is a process focused on patterns, rather than a product geared toward action. In this space, we can zoom out and connect to the bigger picture in our individual and collective systems.

S6. Bonus Episode: The Observer Effect22 Oct 202500:35:55

Season 6 Bonus Episode
The Observer Effect: How Awareness Shapes the Systems Coaching Process

In this conversation, Katie welcomes CRR Global co-founder Marita Fridjhon to the show to discuss the observer effect in systems coaching. Research in relational psychology and systems theory supports the idea that change arises in relationships, not in isolation. The observer effect reminds us that systems work- whether that be in a coaching session or group supervision- is a co-creative process. It is not just about analysing data, but about what becomes possible in the presence of mindful, attuned witnessing.

Key takeaways from this episode:

  • In physics, the observer effect refers to how the act of observing a phenomenon can change its behavior. While the term originates in quantum mechanics, the concept is increasingly relevant to fields that rely on human presence, awareness, and relational engagement—including coaching supervision.
  • The observer effect reflects a foundational truth: presence is not neutral. The supervisor is a co-participant in the relational field, actively shaping what unfolds. Observation becomes a force of change—not because of analysis, but because of mindful, attuned witnessing.
  • Systems workers engaged in this model relational intelligence recognize that their tone, posture, silence, or intuitive nudge can shift the system. Whether through a well-timed pause or a single moment of spacious attention, their presence invites the supervisee to access greater awareness and possibility.
  • When systems workers bring grounded, intentional presence, they create a field that is safe enough for emergence and brave enough for insight. This presence doesn’t seek to fix, but to facilitate a deepened seeing—one that includes the coach, the client, and the unseen patterns shaping the work.

Marita Fridjhon is co-founder of CRR Global and mentor to an ever-growing community of practitioners in the field of Relationship Systems work. She came to this work from an extensive background in clinical social work, community development, process work, family systems therapy, business consulting and alternative dispute resolution. Her primary focus in coaching is on systemic change, leveraging differences, creative communication, deep democracy in conflict management and the development of learning organizations.

Ep.17 Relationship Matters: Book Launch Special24 Jan 202400:28:44

In this episode, Katie talks with CRR co-founder Faith Fuller about the recent release of her new book, ‘Relationship Matters: A New Paradigm for an Evolutionary Leap in Relationship.’ Relationship Matters is now available to purchase online from Amazon, and there are hardback, paper cover and Kindle editions available. An audiobook version is coming soon.

From family and friends, to romantic partners, professional interactions, and community connections, relationships are an integral part of life. Just as our heart pumps blood throughout our physical bodies to keep us alive, relationships are the lifeblood that helps keep our social and emotional worlds going.

Despite the importance of relationships, many of us struggle when it comes to creating healthy and meaningful ones. We are incredibly advanced in science, technology, and medicine – yet when it comes to getting along with others we struggle.

Fortunately, there is a better way to approach any relationship in life—and Relationship Matters will show you how. First, you will learn that relationships operate as interdependent, interactive systems. In fact, in any relationship at any level, there is a relationship between the two parties – known as the “third entity” – that is greater and more powerful than the separate individuals in that system. No matter how close or distant a relationship may be, the third entity is always present and available for you to tap into, with its reservoir of deep wisdom. In Relationship Matters, Faith Fuller reveals the universal principles that underpin all relationship systems, which will ultimately help you:

  • Understand what relationship intelligence is and why it is critical to human evolution
  • Develop Relationship Warriorship
  • Unlock the hidden potential in conflict
  • Identify new options for navigating difficult relationships
  • Build life-changing relationships - especially with yourself

Relationships aren’t something you “do” in your spare time – they are embedded in everything you do! By understanding these relationship systems, you will finally be able to cultivate positive, healthy relationships within yourself and with those closest to you, while contributing to the evolution of relationships on a global level…because all relationships matter.

Faith Fuller is co-founder and President of CRR Global. She is a psychologist and experienced trainer and coach, with over 20 years of experience in working with organizations, couples and communities.
