Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! In this week's episode 11:59, we learn about Janeway's ancestor Shannon O'Donnel and her connection to the Millennium Gate. Kevin Tighe guest stars as Henry Janeway.

When Janeway is reminded of her long lost ancestor Shannon O'Donnel's impact on history, the crew begins to uncover a story that doesn't quite align with the legend. We flash back to Shannon's life where she meets Henry Janeway, the lone blocker of progress in his small town in Indiana. While Shannon is just passing through, she ends up entangled in Henry's life and in the history of the Millennium Gate.

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week the doctor is trying to teach Seven how to date and Neelix is learning being an ambassador isn't always as dignified as it sounds.

When the captain asks Seven to stop gathering data on the dating rituals on board and maybe do some more hands-on research, the doctor springs into action with some specialized lessons. While this is going on, Neelix plays host to a visiting dignitary in his role as ambassador, and learns very quickly that people are unpredictable. When his charge starts going rogue and enjoying the finer things of Voyager life, Neelix panics.

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week Voyager is in danger of being caught in an environmental catastrophe as a damaged Malon freighter becomes an unstoppable bomb.

When a Malon freighter begins to meltdown, it's crew abandons ship. Most of them perish from radiation poisoning before being rescued by Voyager. Now B'Elanna and Neelix must work together with the two remaining Malon crew members to try and stop the bomb from destroying everything around it.

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week Voyager is being pursued by some very persistent bounty hunters when a group of alien geniuses turn up to assist. While their help is appreciated, it is a bit suspiciously convenient. Jason Alexander guest stars as Kurros.

Voyager finds itself trapped by a group of bounty hunters with no way out when a group of helpful aliens appear to offer help. Janeway is interested at first, but their price is too high and she starts looking for another, more creative, solution. The think tank doesn't take kindly to Janeway's decision and the offer of help starts sounding like a threat. George is getting upset!

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week we find ourselves trapped in chaotic space with an episode that is also quite chaotic. We learn Chakotay is into boxing and he's trying something different with his hair.

Voyager gets stuck in chaotic space and some unseen aliens attempt communication with the crew by altering Chakotay's DNA. Yeah, that's confusing and so is the episode as we jump around inside his mind trying to figure out what the aliens are telling us.

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week we revisit a storyline from last season when Voyager landed on the Demon planet. Let me just say: nothing good can come from goo.

Voyager and its crew seem to be melting, or at least breaking down. Tuvok and Chakotay do some sleuthing to figure out what exactly is going wrong and they trace it back to a decision we made last season in the episode Demon. Now it's a race against bad decisions to see if we can save ourselves or if we are on a course to oblivion.

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week Harry goes rogue and decides to break some rules by falling in love with an alien. We're not exactly sure which rule he's broken or why Janeway is so mad, but apparently it's all very bad.

The Voyager crew finds themselves helping a ship in distress (actually a bunch of small ships strapped together into one giant ship). The repairs are bumpy and the diplomacy bumpier as the Varro have proven to be quite unfriendly and unappreciative - not to mention they've got some internal strife brewing. It doesn't help that Harry gets himself embroiled in a love affair that has physiological implications.

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week Janeway reflects on Seven's time as part of the crew and whether it was real before embarking on a dangerous rescue mission. Susanna Thompson plays the Borg Queen.

When Seven suddenly abandons the crew to rejoin the Borg collective, Janeway is suspicious. B'Elanna doesn't help by immediately dismissing Seven as never being "one of us," but Naomi reminds Janeway that someone else does care about Seven. Meanwhile over in Borg land, the queen is desperately trying to get Seven on board with her humanity assimilation plan. But never fear, the boogeyman of the Borg (Janeway) is hatching a plan.

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week we engage the Borg! Janeway wants to get her hands on a transwarp coil and she's feeling lucky (and cocky).

When Voyager manages to destroy a small Borg vessel, Janeway gets pretty cocky and wants to go for a bigger prize. The team is a little skeptical, but follow Janeway anyway. For the most part the plan works!

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week we cover Star Trek Voyager S5E14: Bliss where we discover a wormhole that leads directly to earth. Is it too good to be true? William Morgan Sheppard guest stars as Qatai.

When Voyager discovers a wormhole leading directly to earth, everyone suddenly turns unreasonably optimistic about this new path home. Everyone, that is, except for Seven and Naomi Wildman. When Seven discovers the wormhole isn't all it appears to be, she enlists the help of a Qatai, an alien who is stuck inside this supposed wormhole.

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week we cover Star Trek Voyager S5E13: Gravity where Tom, Tuvok and the doctor get sucked into a subspace sinkhole of sorts (and for some magical reason we are in a crappy shuttle, not the Flyer). Tank Girl star Lori Petty guest stars as a peculiar little alien named Noss with big feelings for Tuvok.

You may have heard us mention the graphic novel Space Odditorium in this episode. Please give it a look!

When a Voyager shuttle is sucked into a subspace sinkhole it crashes on a class-D desert planet. Things aren't all bad as we meet Noss who offers shelter and spider stew. But when months go by, Tom gives up hope of a rescue and displays his insensitive side by getting mad at Tuvok for being Vulcan. Tuvok maintains his composure while fending off Tank Girl's attraction and Tom's nonsense. Meanwhile on Voyager, we learn the shuttle has only been missing for a few hours! Something is amiss with time. (It's probably Tom's fault.)

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week we cover Star Trek Voyager S5E12: Bride of Chaotica where a whole lot of nonsense happens on the holodeck. Martin Rayner returns as Chaotica along with Nicholas Worth as Lonzak.

When Voyager gets trapped on a subspace reef (of sorts), photonic beings from another dimension interact with Tom's Captain Proton holo-program. While this seems like all fun and games, Dr. Cahotica ends up in a war with these new life forms and we begin causing them actual harm. Janeway dresses up as Archania to disrupt Chaotica's plans. This is a weird episode with a weird tone that never quite lives up to the fun and games of the visuals.

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week we cover Star Trek Voyager S5E11: Latent Image where the doctor suffers an existential crisis and Janeway tries to erase it. Nancy Bell guest stars as Ensign Jetal.

When the doctor discovers a gap in his memory, he uncovers what he thinks is a (possibly alien) conspiracy. Turns out, Janeway made the decision 18 months prior to erase his memories to undo a feedback loop caused by a life or death decision the doctor was forced to make. Seven doesn't think Janeway is treating the doctor fairly and makes her reconsider her decision. But what happened? And who is this mysterious ensign that we've never heard of before?

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week we cover Star Trek Voyager S5E10: Counterpoint where Janeway has met her match in the tall comely Devore Inspector Kashyk. Mark Harelik guest stars.

In Devore space, Voyager is forced to undergo frequent inspections by men in tight fitting leather uniforms searching for telepaths. Inspector Kashyk takes a keen interest in our captain even suggesting he's going to defect from his own people and help her escape. But is he telling the truth or is he hiding a dark truth?

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week we cover Star Trek Voyager S5E9: Thirty Days where Tom ends up in the brig and loses his rank. Willie Garson guest stars as Riga.

When Voyager encounters a planet made up entirely of ocean, Tom surfaces an obsession with Jules Vern and all things nautical. Janeway agrees to help the Moneans investigate why the ocean containment is failing, but turns out they don't really want to hear the truth. Tom takes drastic measures to get the aliens to listen to reason.

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! This week we cover Star Trek Voyager S5E8: Nothing Human where a giant rubber alien (see image below) attacks B'Elanna and the doctor uses AI (kind of) to try and save her. David Clennon guest stars as Crell.

When the doctor needs an exobiologist to save B'Elanna from an unfamiliar alien, he recreates an expert in the field on the holodeck. While this seems like a good idea, the doctor in question is Dr. Crell Moset a Cardassian with a spotty past (what Cardassian doesn't have a spotty past??). B'Elanna and the other Maquis on board (especially the Bajoran crew member) are outraged. Seems like we could have fudged reality a little bit here and everyone would have been none the wiser.

Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge It! When an advanced probe gets stuck in a gas giant, Voyager and a Malon vessel race to be the first to retrieve it. The crew works together to build Tom's fancy new shuttle called the Delta Flyer to get the probe first. While this is all fun and games, B'Elanna has grown distant and quiet and is taking extreme risks on the holodeck without informing anyone. Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S5E1: Night. In this episode, we explore some of the darker crevices of Janeway's mind while flying through pitch black space. A fantastic season opener!

Janeway is hiding out in her quarters beating herself up about getting the crew stuck in the Delta Quadrant. Neelix is having panic attacks contemplating the emptiness of space (and his life?). Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E26: Hope and Fear. In this episode, we get a view of why Captain Janeway is such a great character and a great captain when we find a way home that is simply too good to be true. Frequent villain portrayer Ray Wise guest stars as Arturis in a strong performance. Also, James accidentally makes up a new word in this episode for a single Borg living amongst humans. Abongst?

Janeway has been battling so long to decode the Starfleet message we received several episodes ago that she is too eager to accept an easy answer when a brainiac alien turns up with one. Janeway remains skeptical but the crew gets their hopes way up when it appears that Starfleet has sent a ship to save them; but the sinister truth is hiding behind that big-headed alien Arturis.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E24: Demon. In this episode, Harry and Tom are on an away mission on a demon planet when they get careless and nearly die.

When Voyager is forced into "gray mode" due to a lack of deuterium, Janeway and crew take some drastic measures. Tom and Harry head down to a highly volatile planet but almost immediately do something dumb and lose contact with the ship. We decide the safest thing to do is to land Voyager on this dangerous planet and get the deuterium and our lost crew members. Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E23: Living Witness. In this episode, we jump forward in time with an alien society that remembers Janeway and Voyager as the villains of the Delta Quadrant.

A surprise backup copy of the doctor wakes up 700 years in the future in an alien society that remembers Janeway as a villain and Voyager as a warship of death. The doctor tries to convince them they're recreation of Voyager is inaccurate but he has to weigh the truth with any further harm it could cause this society.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E22: Unforgettable. In this episode, a comely lass (guest star Virginia Madsen) arrives begging for Chakotay's help. That's a pretty standard problem, but this time Chakotay has no idea who she is.

We meet a new species of alien that claims to be forgettable in every way. Even the doctor can't scan the injured alien because the tricorder doesn't retain the data. When she then claims to be in love with Commander Chuckles, we try and unravel her story to determine if what she says is true. We've got a serious case of the handwaves in this episode, but still an interesting premise.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E21: The Omega Directive. In this episode we learn there are secrets that extend from the alpha quadrant to the delta quadrant.

Voyager drops out of warp without warning and a strange message appears on all screens. Turns out it's a secret message only Starfleet captain's know about: the Omega Directive (not so secret when you put it on all the screens!). It represents a dangerous substance that captains are ordered to destroy at all costs. Secrets from the captain this far into their voyage, confounds the crew. Janeway enlists Seven (who has assimilated knowledge about Omega) to help her locate and destroy Omega.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E20: Vis À Vis. In this episode, Tom gets taken over by a jerky alien (Dan Butler) but nobody notices (because he was already being a jerk).

Voyager runs into a ship having problems with it's linear cable box - I mean with it's coaxial warp drive. Tom manages to save the ship and befriend the pilot who is hiding something. Because Tom is so busy having another midlife crisis (he has them every other week), he doesn't notice that he's being an absolute jerk to everyone around him. When the alien decides he likes Tom's life more than his own, he does a body swap and sends the real Tom away on his repaired ship. I say we just let him go.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E19: The Killing Game Part II. In this episode, the Voyager crew and the Hirogen Nazis meet in their final battle for control of the ship.

While Janeway and Seven work to disable the neural transmitters controlling the crew, everyone else still thinks they're in WWII France. Janeway ultimately is able to forge a truce with the Hirogen commander, but when he's killed the battle resumes and Janeway must hunt down the hunters.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E18: The Killing Game. In this episode, the Hirogen have taken over Voyager and it seems their goal is cosplay. They're torturing the crew with ongoing battles on the Holodeck and of course the main event is a WWII story. Star Trek loves a Nazi story line.

Voyager has been lost to some Hirogen hunters and their plan is more insidious than in previous encounters. This time, the Hirogen are learning about their prey (the Voyager crew) by running through holodeck scenarios. We start with some Klingon battles, but quickly end up in France during World War II. Why is Star Trek obsessed with Nazis? Because they're very bad guys and they're a real part of history! Remember when we all thought Nazis were bad?

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E17: Retrospect. In this episode, Michael Horton (Jessica Fletcher's nephew) guest stars as a creepy arms dealer. Is there any other kind of arms dealer?

When Seven starts acting strangely the doctor probes her memory until he uncovers what he thinks are repressed memories of an assault perpetrated by this week's guest star. Don't worry, by the end of the episode not only does no one believe Seven's account of the situation neither does she! This is one bad episode.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E16: Prey. In this episode, the Hirogen are back and this time we have none other than Tony Todd to scare the living crap out of us.

When Voyager encounters a damaged Hirogen ship, they end up with a lot more than they bargained for. An injured Hirogen (played by the unforgettable Tony Todd) has been hunting an alien - and not just any alien, but a member of Species 8472. Janeway and crew are left in a dangerous position between two deadly aliens. When Seven refuses to obey a direct order from the captain, an internal power struggle disrupts everything.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E15: Hunters. In this episode we meet the Hirogen IRL - we saw them in the last episode, but we are about to encounter them up close and personal when they take Tuvok and Seven prisoner.

When Voyager receives an encoded message from Starfleet via the alien communications array, the crew is giddy with excitement. The Hirogen, however, are not as thrilled with this development and when a Voyager shuttle gets too close to one of the relay stations, two crew members are taken prisoner. We learn very little about the cruel new alien species in this misadventure, but we do know they are scary! The other story line in this episode is about the crew receiving letters from home. Janeway and Chuckles get some bad news, while others are just happy to hear from their families. We are way too happy about this development of communication with Starfleet!

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E14: Message in a Bottle. In this episode we manage to beam the doctor to the Alpha Quadrant where he meets a new EMH and a bunch of unpleasant Romulans (is there another kind?).

Mentioned in the episode: Bob the Angry Flower and Bob's Quick Guide to the Apostrophe.

When Seven discovers an ancient and massive communications array, she uses it to find a Starfleet vessel in the alpha quadrant. They are unable to communicate, but manage to find a way to send the doctor (so much easier than sending a bunch of text). When the doctor makes his way to this Starfleet vessel, he immediately finds it's been taken over by Romulans. Can he somehow save the day, get in contact with Starfleet and still make it back to Voyager before dinner time? Sure he can!

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E13: Waking Moments. In this episode we battle aliens in our dreams and we're not ever sure if we're awake or asleep!

Everyone starts having nightmares which isn't that interesting until they realize they're all seeing the same mysterious alien. Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E12: Mortal Coil. In this episode Neelix suffers an existential crisis after dying and then being revived by Borg nanoprobes.

Neelix has settled into a very eclectic role on the ship, including the role of monster hunter for Naomi Wildman. When he joins an away mission to a dangerous nebula, he's accidentally killed while helping the crew gather a precious resource. Later on Voyager, Seven uses Borg know how to revive Neelix. Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E11: Concerning Flight. In this episode Leonardo da Vinci (as played by John Rhys-Davies) gets a day out of the holodeck. Or does he? We also meet some new dull aliens who are both genius and useless at the same time.

Voyager is mugged by some small ships with a magic beam able to steal technology. When Tuvok and Janeway head down to a nearby planet to locate their stolen goods, they bump into Leonardo da Vinci wearing the doctor's mobile emitter! The rest of the episode is about Janeway trying to get the main computer back while hanging out with John Rhys-Davies, I mean Leonardo da Vinci. Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E10: Random Thoughts. In this episode B’Elanna gets herself in deep trouble for thinking like a Klingon. Gwynyth Walsh (from previous Klingon fame) guest stars in this episode without any forehead ridges.

While visiting an alien planet, the crew witnesses a violent crime, followed by a murder. The crew learns the planet was supposedly crime free before Voyager arrived because violent thoughts had been eradicated. Unfortunately we brought a Klingon to the planet and now bad things are happening. Maybe we should look into local laws a bit more before beaming into new societies.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E9: Year of Hell, Part II. In this episode Kurtwood Smith wraps up the Annorax story line by pushing Janeway to her absolute limits and beyond. Bad news for him though, that's where Janeway excels. Our friend Attiba Royster joins us for this episode and as always you can find his artwork here and his podcast here.

Tom and Chakotay are on the time/weapon ship hanging out with the time lord that is Annorax. Meanwhile, Janeway is trying to keep the crew, the ship and herself in one piece. Repairs are going badly and hope is fading on Voyager. While Chuckles gets caught up in the fun of changing time, Janeway is literally walking through fire to keep her crew and hope alive. Janeway, though, will not quit and that's a calculation Annorax wasn't prepared for.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E8: Year of Hell. In this episode Kurtwood Smith plays Annorax, one of Star Trek's greatest time villains. He's on a mission to restore his people to power by wiping out entire civilizations. Unfortunately Voyager accidentally gets in his way. Attiba Royster joins us for our analysis of this episode; please see Attiba's amazing artwork here. The Kickstarter mentioned in this episode was fully funded, but you can watch for Tales of Horrogasm Volume 3: Vampires coming soon to his website.

Voyager encounters the Krenim, who sound threatening, but appear harmless. We underestimate the threat and ignore the warnings, continuing into Krenim space. This was a bad idea as we are not aware of Annorax and the 'weapons ship' that is able to erase things from time. When Voyager gets caught in the obsessive plan of Annorax, the year of hell begins. Janeway and crew are about to get the crap beaten out of them.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E7: Scientific Method. In this episode some invisible aliens test Janeway's limits and she does not disappoint.

Janeway is suffering from severe headaches that the doctor seems to think are tension headaches - but the duration and severity have put her right on edge. Meanwhile other members of the crew are starting to suffer inexplicable genetic mutations. When the doctor and B'Elanna find clues to what's happening, they are immediately sabotaged. What is happening!? When the doctor and Seven team up to identify an invisible invasion on Voyager, it may be too late because Janeway has snapped. In a way that only Janeway can.

Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S4E6: The Raven. In this episode Seven starts having disturbing hallucinations that leads her and Voyager on an unexpected journey. Strong performances from Jeri Ryan and Kate Mulgrew elevate this episode.

While Janeway is negotiating safe passage through B'omar space, Seven is having disturbing hallucinations of squawking birds and Borg drones. No one seems to clock she might have some lingering PTSD from her original assimilation and the drone in Seven assumes she's being called back to the collective. The B'omar are already proving difficult when Seven steals a shuttle and flies into their space without permission. Tuvok and Tom chase after her while Janeway tries to avoid a military incident.

When Chakotay crashes on an unknown planet in a war zone, he ends up with a group of soldiers who are maybe in a bit over their heads. B'Elanna and Tom continue to bicker over the fact that B'Elanna is a Klingon and Tom is a child. When experimenting with transwarp causes a mishap in engineering, Tom and B'Elanna are forced together on a mission to retrieve the ejected wrap core. The captain suffers a serious injury when the Borg protect Voyager (and the nanoprobes) from species 8472. So it's time for Chakotay to take over Voyager while the doctor repairs the captain. Trouble is, the alliance has all but collapsed and neither Seven nor Chakotay are prepared to compromise.
